When I’m talking with budding entrepreneurs who have visions of running their own online or offline business, I always seem to hear the same thing:
“I know what I need to do, Rich…I just need to get off my butt and actually do it”.
But unfortunately, we all know what happens. Most never take the next step, and eventually give up on their dreams altogether.
Sound familiar? It does to me…
Believe it or not, when I was first starting out in the business, I had a hard time taking action.
Yes, I was enthusiastic. Yes, I was educated. Yes, I had the skills and the tools to get it done.
But for some reason, I couldn’t take that first step. It was like my feet were virtually magnetized to the floor!
Of course, I eventually found ways to get over the hump and actually put my plans into action. And guess what? Success quickly followed.
So over the years, I’ve been shaping and refining those action-taking tactics…getting them down to a science…and creating a system that will shove those fence-sitters off the top rail and easily get them moving in the right direction.
But if you think I’m trying to sell you something here, think again…
Because even though this system is worth hundreds– maybe even thousands–of dollars, I’ve decided not to package it up and put it on the market.
No–I’m going to practice what I’ve been preaching here…
…I’m giving it away.
Over the next few weeks, this blog will become Action- Taking Central, with a full blown how-to course on getting your business in gear and actually doing it instead of talking about it.
We’ll cover all the angles, from getting into the “action habit” to ditching perfectionism once and for all to my own personal step-by-step plan for getting the ball rolling.
If you’ve ever been more of a dreamer than a doer, I urge you to bookmark this page and check it every day…
Because I’m not only going to hand you the roadmap to success–I’m going to SHOW you how to get up, get moving, and get your business off the ground.
You ready?
To Higher Profits,
Rich
P.S. One more thing I want to drop in here…
Everyone at Strategic Profits is feverishly working on something that’s truly going to change the way people do business on the internet.
Can’t go into anything else more specific now, but keep checking this blog. Because we’ll be releasing some exclusive insider peeks along the way.
Gotta tell you–I’m more pumped up about this than I have been for quite a while–and I think you will be too once you see what we’re developing.
Stay tuned…

I must say, I struggle a bit with the doing bit. I am getting better - but still a bit lazy!
Maybe those who just dream but don’t take the next step are just not meant to take it. Maybe it’s not their true purpose.. Of course these are philosophical questions but I’m just curious about the difference between those who take action and those who doesn’t. Anyway, I’m bookmarking this site in my memory and I’ll come here later to check for your road map to success..
I’m a dreamer and a do-er, but get a little overwhelmed sometimes. I always have a list of things I want to get done, and try to take them one at a time and be happy that I am taking steps forward (even if they seem small!) Always looking for new ideas, so bring it on!
Not all the do-er actually have do their own dreams. Most of the people in our society will just follow what others been doing. They don’t decide what they want to do in their life. I know some people who stuck in this phase, they are pathetic. They do have their own dreams, but they pursue others dream simply because they want to make others happy.
For all the dreamer out there, I just want to let you know that you are in the right path for now. You just need to take the next step and do all the things necessary to accomplish your dream. But always remember, Dreaming could get you stuck inside it. What you gotta do is get out and do something!

Sounds a touch exciting.
Hi Rich,
Awesome I have suffered greatly over the last couple of years with a little overwhelm to many businesses and projects going and ended up doing very little to see them come to fruition.
This year said no more then 2 projects at once and is making such a difference.
Really looking forward to getting this info.

Hi Rich
Your blog posting sounds intriguing for both items you are telling us about.
Dreaming to action is an interesting issue and you will know that Michael Gerber has been encouraging entrepreneurs to open themselves up and dream more so that they have big visions.
So it seems that we have a dichotomy
1 - Dreamers who don’t action
2 - Action takers (entrepreneurs) who don’t dream enough.
It has always seemed to me that dreaming is easy but because there is an element of unreality (it is only a dream) it is difficult to have the confidence to step up, do the market research, test the feasibility and then if it looks good, put the business into action.

Great post
Interesting enough I just read a book called the secret. And it talks alot about visualization, which is different from just dreaming
I think a lot of us just do not have the motivation to do what needs to be done to join this 6 figure club
With visualization, motivation may come a little easier

PS if you were wondering, I am not an affiliate of ‘the secret’ ….yet
Hi Rich,
Been meaning to post on your blog for a while now but only just got around to it :-)
I guess that answers your question!
Seriously, I know this is an old post but the topic is so important that I don’t mind posting so late on it.
I think the overwhelming amount of information that I get exposed to nowadays induces a sort of deer-in-the-headlights paralysis, as I look around and try to figure out what to do next.
It took quite a bit of time and experience before I began to see some of the common patterns, then act on them, figure out what worked and what didn’t, then make a new plan of action - by which time the amount of info had doubled, adding to my general confusion.
Sorry if I sound like I’m complaining!
I must say that your reports have been amazingly helpful to me in understanding the fundamental issues involved, and opening my eyes to the possibilities online.
Learning to take action is not easy, but I believe I’m on the right path…will come back often here for one thing!
Cheers & many thanks

And Suresh,
your comment on the old blog entry brought it back into my mind too.
If I would count how many times I found my clients having way more knowledge than they would have needed to take off, just not applying it out of various reasons, I would have to use several hands more than I have at my disposal :-)
It’s good to see you putting emphasis on this matter Rich, you’re trying to change people’s businesses to the better (like I do).
Thank you for being helpful, we need more people to “walk their dreams”.

I can tell that this is not the first time you write about this topic. Why have you chosen it again?
Not that I’m impressed a lot, but this is a lot more than I expected when I found a link on Delicious telling that the info is awesome. Thanks.
