What they won’t tell you…

Hey Guys,

Listen up, this post could actually change your life…

OK, this is the deal… my team and I have just finished going over nearly a thousand (!) blog posts and emails that have poured in over the last few days – all from people telling me what’s holding them back in their business.

It’s truly been overwhelming… this obviously struck a chord and the response has been staggering.

And that response has really pushed me to deeply reflect and re-visit my vast coaching experience from the last two years.

Don’t get me wrong… I am always reviewing and refining my coaching material. But those 1000+ comments and emails have been like an earthquake tearing through my business. This type of stuff doesn’t happen every day… or every year.

So this is what I’ve done – I went back to work and I’ve created an extremely powerful new video that explains why many of you been having trouble getting the momentum you need in your business.

Now, I partially addressed this same issue a while ago, but it’s very clear that I need to cover and expand on this material again.

That fact of the matter is (and you probably won’t like hearing this but) the truth behind building a successful Internet business is rarely told…

Unless you’re an experienced business builder (or you’ve simply figured it out through years of trial and error), you’ve never seen the full picture. I’m almost positive no one has ever spelled out the actual steps that are necessary to build a serious operation that generates massive cash flows and runs without you.

Let me ask you a question…

If someone was trying to sell you on an opportunity (a “system” that can make you money) would they want to tell you the WHOLE story?

Of course not!

And you know why? Because the WHOLE story is that building a business that can generate millions of dollars is NOT an easy thing to do! It takes time, effort and lots of sweat. And contrary to popular opinion, you can’t do it all in your underwear.

Of course, that’s not what the “opportunity sellers” want to tell you. They want to make it sound about as simple and easy as using your remote control to turn on American Idol.

If they tell you that their “opportunity” requires work, then they lose sales. They make less money.

That’s why you’ve never hear the full story from the opportunity sellers, because it’s doesn’t sell. Their sales pitch works best on the lazy and the stupid…

Now you might have gotten sucked into one or two of those “opportunity pitches”, but I know you are NOT either lazy or stupid. How do I know? I only have to take a look at my inbox on any given day. I see REAL questions from REAL people who are searching desperately for the answers to their burning questions about how to make a serious income online.

So I’ve put together a video series that spells it all out.

I think this video is appropriate for anyone who’s looking for a path that will take them to outrageous business success. But I’ve got to warn you, it’s not for those who are looking for a quick fix. It’s not for the weak.

It’s powerful (and profitable) stuff.

I’m calling it “The Momentum Movie Series” and you can see it here:

http://www.strategicprofits.com/profitvault

After you watch it, leave a comment on the blog. This is some serious stuff, and I’d like to hear your thoughts… so watch the videos and let me know what you think.

To Higher Profits,
Rich Schefren

P.S. After you watch the video, please let me know how you’ll be implementing these ideas in your business. You can do this by posting your thoughts right here.

Well good recording. Wow you mentioned a scorecard. I’m only commenting because a man who was one of the best in a home business I still work had a score system. He categorized everything necessary to be successful in that business. More points towards the more important things in the business. You had to have a certain amount of points each week. So if you did the more important things it helped your weekly score get where it needed to be quicker. But do not forget the smaller scoring things that need to be done also. It made him very successful. Would be interested in what kind of scorecard you have. In fact this is something I think I will implement for myself. Just an added way to keep me on track. Just another way to kick that dirty p word out on the curb. Yes I mean PROCRASTINATION. Just sharing a thought: Lou from http://www.fun-working-from-home.com.

An interesting video. I have dial up and the vieo would not buffer. I finannly had to shut off.

Selling Internet marketing material has never been anything that interested me. Information overload is not an issue for me. From what I have seen of most of the material. It contains a great eal of bad information. I have had three years and an unlimited amount of time to examine it. Always some wiz bang information that was created by an illiterate individual who could not pass 8th english on their best day

I have never had and grand plan of being an Internet millionaire. I have had much more mosest plans. After three years I have not made a dime for thousands of hours of effort. I know SEO and my site is SEO optimized traffic 100 a day or more but the traffic has never produced a dime.

My sites are affilliate/adsense sites in different niches. I believe you said it’s better if the sites are in the same niche. Should I try to focus more in one area and let the others go eventually and are affilliate/adsense sites lucrative enough to apply these principles? Thanks, Dave

This is truly been a blessing to me. No one has ever been this honest as far as informing me about the truth of online businesses. The truth of the matter is that the majority of online business are a load of crap. It really doesn’t take a genious to figure that we have been scammed out of our hard earned money searching for the impossible dream. Thank you for the information and video. I look forward to viewing what you have in the near future.

    Rich,
It is very comforting in the way that you want to help others to build a business that would make then money online. I appreciate your honesty and generourisy. I am very eager and not lazy-I just don’t know where to start. I am a newby but willing to learn.
This video is also quite an insperation and I do believe with your guidance I am going to be a big success!!! I am enthusiastic about it all! Im looking forward to what’s coming next.

if i had more advice like this, things would have gone a little more smoothly for me many years ago.

as such i deceded to give most if not all IM guru’s a miss, and concerntrate on what i want to do, and things have been good.

    keep it up Rich!

Loved the part about how all these internet marketing products are 100% hype and bullsh** I couldn’t stand it and unsubscribed from all Internet marketing newsletters, because they’re just feeding everyone a bunch of crap. Selling the information is fine, but tell the truth about it, you’ll learn something, a little extra to add to your knowledge, that’s it.

None of that’s stuff will make you any money. What makes you money is your own imagination, desire, persistence and all the stuff that Rich calls ‘a bit Hokey’.

Good way to take advantage of the backwards internet marketing opportunist thing that has been going on the past few years by telling people the truth, making money is serious business and takes serious work, ambition and personal improvement.

Another great video – I’m holding my breath for the next one!

The fact that you built the video based on blog feedback was a super idea!

Really like your format – the prescription is idea is great.

  • Sherry

OK–so…anyone in their 30′s or more knows this stuff. Hope your next video and coaching have more substance.

    Rich,

This is a great video and has helped me re-focus.
It’s not a how to video but then again how could it be.
People wont find all their answers in one place but your video sure gives them a foundation in their search.

Unable to download video from this link or from the email link. I’ve tried several times to do it. Guess I’ll never see it.

Not able to download video from this link either tried several times, only one i managed to see was the one on google.

    Rich,

Each time you release a video, I expect to be able to dismiss it as a shallow marketing attempt to sell your coaching program.

And each time I am wrong.

Congratulations on what I consider your best video yet.

Here’s the shame of it: so many people are watching these videos and completely missing the point. And you’re not even HIDING the point! You’ve put it right out there in plain sight.

What amuses me (and if I were you , what would annoy me) is the people that comment on this blog with criticisms that can be summed up as: “Everyone knows this already.”

    Really?

    Everyone knows it?

Gosh, that’s funny. Then why isn’t everyone DOING it? In fact, an interesting exercise would be to have all the people using the “everyone knows this already” criticism to show us their financials.

My guess is that only a very small number of them can show any real business success. And for those people, I would submit that they consider the idea that what comes easily to them does not come easily to most people — and that “everyone” does NOT in fact “know it already”. Once can be forgiven for crediting “most people” with more knowledge than they actually have, so I have nothing against these already-successful folks.

My further guess is, though, that MOST people leveling this criticism at you are NOT successful with their online business, and that leads to a question…

…should we take “success advice” from people who aren’t successful?

Hi, Rich. Thank you so much for releasing this video. There were several times during the video that I lept from my chair and shouted, “Yes! That’s absolutely right!” It was so good to hear.

All this stuff to me is standard advice. It’s what I’ve been doing. The thing is, I haven’t succeeded yet. And it can get depressing sometimes. I need to hear this advice (again and again) from someone who has succeeded. And to hear that yes, it does seem like a lot of work, because it is a lot of work. This doesn’t mean I’m doing it wrong. And to hear him say, “It’s okay to fail. You’re going to fail. Everybody fails at least once before they succeed”…

    I really needed that. Thanks.

Rich, thanks for telling it like it is. We need to have more honesty and accuracy to know what is really required to “live the American Dream” through any business, especially Internet Marketing.

I felt the need to come back and express my grattitude again from another angle, to make sure I get understood correctly.

Watching your videos has helped me to understand deeply the truth that…

“a profitable business is the direct result of the intelligent and most efficient application of power” (power = energy+time+money)

    Thanks once again,

    Great work and inspiration Rich!

the video was great, i am surely on to something here, the problem with people is that they spend more time fantasizing about the business and look for the easy way out when obstacles show up.i am truly energized and know i am on the right path.i really look forward to the next video.thanks for inspiring me to do more.

  • matt

I am a web developer. fyi: your flash stream has some delivery issues. i stream content from a flash streaming site for our company and my own computer with all video codecs loaded etc and never run into the issue your delivery mechanism is doing. it appears you designed the player portion yourself which is cool and all, but the stream, once interrupted appears to be unable to recover.
    cheers matt

    Rich,

Thanks for the GREAT video. I absolutely love your no nonsense approach! The videos are all great and full of very useful information to keep me focused! I sometimes get into the information overload area and I will definitely be setting up rules in my inbox to avoid this in the future.

    Hey Rich!

I am so glad you are “tellin’ it like it is”.

I have really respected you, your honesty, and your knowledge since the Jay Abraham, Stephen Pierce, and yours mastermind group that I participated in.

Thanks for the dose of reality and I am looking forward to the next video… but of course I will be moving forward on my JV in the meantime :)

Outstanding presentation. Just what I needed. You opened my eyes as to where my entrepreneural thinking has been wrong. Some of the things you said I already knew but now I know what I should do get the ball rooling because of your inshights. Don’t ever think that you will offend me by your presentations because I need some sense knocked in my head. Please keep it coming. Daniel

  • http://www.GrowYourFreedom.com Erwin J Powell Jr

The amazing reality of all that you have said Rich, is that I have heard this truth before. No, I am not taking anything away or have an attitude of apathy, it is the fact that when anyone speaks the truth, it stands on its own merits.
These are bench marks from the past (as you bring out from other entreprenuers) and I find myself embarressed as I hear you bring them back. It feels good inside to know that I might be heading in the right direction although very slowly.
Thank you for your generousity and the willingness to reach out to us. I submit to this great cloud of witnesses who are active (not dead, even if they feel like it) that I too am guilty of all that Rich has spoken to in the last video.
I am looking forward to the next video(s) they seemed to have pumped some new energy in me.

  • mary roark

Every thing that you have said is the truth and it is good mark for you. I now know what needs to be done.

  • http://dhornbeck.com Dave

Your video reminds me of a phrase I haven’t thought about in a while…”excuses are useless”.

Thanks for telling it like it is. As far as hurting peoples feelings/offending goes, hey, sometimes the truth hurts. There was one part of a sentence in your presentation that really spoke to me. Now the question is what will I do with it.

If you think you can, or if you think you can’t, either way you’re right.

    Rich,

This is material is the work of genius: ‘simplifying the complex and making the simple work!’. I have an MBA and understand everything you are presenting, but I wouldn’t be able to articulate this content as well as you have.

Some of us are paralyzed by our inability to create either a product or service that is in line with our vision/mission. One of the missing components for some of us is (beyond the reading of entrepreneurs’ biographies) the lack of a network of entrepreneurs we can have access to and entrepreneurial mentorship.

My big take away from all this is: nobody will give you the guide on how to become an entrepreneur, you are fully responsible for becoming one.

Now I’m asking for your help on one thing that’s killing my business,

    Hi Rich,
Thank you for the video series and the profit vault… it’s great information. I am a complete newbie and I’m just in the process of trying to start a business online. I’ve done a bit of research online about this but I haven’t heard an authoritative voice quite like yours on the matter.

One problem with the videos -
I can only watch about 15min of the “Gaining Momentum” video in the profit vault and then it stops. I’ve tried several times to watch more of the video… I would really like to finish watching the rest of that movie. Is there a way I can get access to it? Or is there a technical problem there?

    Thanks,

    Steven
