Jay Abraham has been my mentor for 10 years. That’s why I am giving you my Jay Abraham Mindmaps to download absolutely free. But I am getting way ahead of myself …
The most-asked question I hear these days is, “Hey Rich, when is Part 2 of the Attention Age Doctrine going to be ready?”
The answer is: Wednesday, November 28. You’ll be able to download your copy then. For those who want something “juicy” you can download right NOW — keep reading. I think I have just the thing. And it starts with this…
The SECOND most-asked question is: “Rich, how do you come up with so many ideas for all these reports, manifestos, blog posts, and so on?”
I don’t tell you this to boast or “posture”; the truth is, I believe almost everybody has lots of ideas. Maybe just as many ideas as me.
But most people don’t capture the ideas they do have.
If you develop a reliable way of capturing your ideas, and you can put them into a system that allows you to work with them and develop them, you’ll be cranking out ideas, products, and information like crazy.
It’s not that tough.
For me, the tool of choice to capture, develop, and organize my ideas and plans is Mindjet Mindmanager Pro. Any mind-mapping software will work, actually. You can even use the outline feature in Microsoft Word.
The tool is not the important thing; the important thing is that you systematically capture your ideas and thoughts, putting them into what is called “distributed cognitive structures”. All that means is that you get the ideas into some system outside your own head. Even just mapping them out on a legal pad will do.
My friend Dave Lakhani puts it this way: “Writing is the DOING part of thinking.”
So until you write down or capture your ideas, you haven’t actually done anything with them. Once you get those ideas into your digital system (or onto that legal pad), you stand a much better chance of actually making something happen in the real world. You certainly won’t see the opportunities for improvement, expansion, and enhancement until you go through the capture process.
Let me give you a practical example. A couple of years ago I was working with Jay Abraham on developing something we called “The Internet Marketing Super-Summit. I used a mind-map to capture the initial categories of information we wanted to include in our Summit. Here’s a screenshot of that initial mind-map:

Once we had the initial “legs” of the mind-map laid out, Jay and I simply began brainstorming what information needed to be included under each category. The map grew increasingly complex:

Eventually, my plan for the Summit included six pages of mind-mapped material. Until you’ve been through this process yourself, you can’t appreciate how powerful it is. Your mind is capable of generating so many more ideas than you ever dreamed possible, if you’ll just give it a track to run on.
As I was looking over this set of mind-maps, I realized that almost all of it remains completely valid in today’s online marketing environment. If you’d like a copy of all the mind-maps, you can download the whole thing here:
File size: 792KB
Consider this a gift of a “behind the scenes” consult with me and Jay Abraham, as we did this massive brain-dump on what it takes to really build a massive enterprise online.
The question will come up: “Rich, does all of this stuff still work in the Attention Age?”
The fact is, I think all of these elements are even more important now than ever before. In fact, you MUST be using almost ALL of these tools to get from where you are now to where you want to be. BUT…
There’s more you need to do.
In fact, if you stop at what’s in this mind-map, you’ll have a successful business — but you’ll be robbing yourself of that last critical inch of success. Why is it that “last critical inch”? Because if you can take it all just one step further, you can make the leap from being “successful” and become an astoundingly, pre-eminently wealthy, market-driving force to be reckoned with.
That’s exactly what we’ve done at Strategic Profits. That’s how we went from being “successful” with revenues in the high six-figures to being the market leader with revenues over $7 million.
So how do you do that?
That’s exactly what I’m spelling out in Part 2 of the Attention Age Doctrine, which will be released on Wednesday, November 28.
It will be absolutely free, of course.
And when we make it “live” for download, you can get it here:
PS – Thanks to Performancing.com for writing a really useful guide featuring our website called “How to Move From the 2nd Page of Google to the 1st Page”. I really appreciate it, and look forward to getting on the front page of Google!
