No Matter How You Define Success – This Gets You There

Strategic Profits Live! – February 23rd – 29th 2008, Disney World, Orlando Florida

I’m in a real jam.

Before I tell you what’s up – I want you to know this: We’re going to have two last minute contests with amazing prizes for anyone who’s game for helping us out.

But first let me go back to how it all started, so I can quickly get you up to speed…

You see, even though we hardly promoted our rapidly approaching seminar… word has gotten out. Yep, the cat’s out of the bag. And ever since… we’ve been overwhelmed with emails, calls, faxes, and even a few FedEx letters.

It seems everyone who’s caught wind of the event wants to attend. But, of course, there’s a rub… (Isn’t there always?)

Practically every single online marketer needs a few questions answered first…

To be fair, we should have expected it. You see, we’ve put together an event that is unlike any event that’s ever been assembled and offered in the marketing and business building arenas.

That said, we simply can’t answer everyone’s questions individually. There are just way too many. Besides, the event is right around the corner… literally weeks away.

So, I racked my brain, desperately trying to figure out an easy way to answer everyone’s questions. And it finally hit me!

Just me at my computer… and you at yours.

I figured if I create 3 separate short videos describing the 3 different segments of the event… and… create a fourth video to tie it all together… everyone’s questions would be answered – in one fell swoop.

Even better, I could put the videos here on the blog, this way you could discover everything about the event and have all your questions answered before you even have a chance to ask.

So… that’s exactly what I did.

Here’s the 30,000-foot view of what got us into this mess:

First, we’ve assembled the best business and marketing minds online today.

Second, we’re presenting these mavens in three unique formats: private workshops, a huge mega-event, and an intensive bootcamp.

And third, we offered different combinations of the three formats. And it was ALL those bloody combos that sealed our fate… and triggered the tsunami of questions we are now being flooded with.

Alright, so now that you know the “back room” story – let’s shift direction and focus on the matters at hand.

VIDEO #1 – The Private Workshops

How would you like to spend a day and a half with John Carlton and only a few other entrepreneurs… as he reveals exactly what you must do to multiply your conversion rates of every email, opt-in page, sales-letter, and pay per click ad…

Or how about spending a day and a half with Jeff Walker and Mike Filsaime, as they show you how to combine Butterfly Marketing and product launch strategy into a one-two punch that literally shatters every sales record in your market…

Sound Interesting? Then Watch this video…

Advanced Workshops

VIDEO #2 – The No Pitch, World-class, Unmatched Main Event

Check this out: Imagine for a second learning from the most successful, most highly respected marketers on the planet. We’re talking about men and women who “walk their talk” and not just “talk their talk”.

I bring up this difference because the sad truth is… many of today’s so-called experts can’t pay their rent from their so called “internet profits”. In fact the lion share of their income comes from speaking… or more accurately…teasing audiences to buy their products throughout their 90-minute canned sales-pitches.

It’s such a dirty game… I often feel the need for a shower after spending just twenty minutes in these pitch-fests.

That’s why we’ve never allowed it. Not one speaker at any of our events has EVER pitched a product.

And you know what? The difference is night and day. When a real expert is on stage teaching instead of teasing… you actually learn A LOT!

Now, just listen to this line-up of speakers we’ve assembled for you…

Jay Abraham… Gary Vaynerchuk… John Carlton… Frank Kern… Mike Filsaime… Jeff Walker… MaryEllenTribby… Tom McCarthy… Janet Switzer… and Paul Scheele.

Here’s the video that’ll explain it all…

The Main Event

Video #3 – The Maven Marketing Intensive

How would you like both Jay Abraham and I to work with you to build out an entire marketing plan personalized for YOUR market and YOUR strengths?

Better yet… what if we then worked with you for an entire six months – holding you accountable – and working with you closely as you put your plan into action? This way, no matter what issues reared their ugly heads – we’d both be there to course-correct and navigate you to the very top of your market.

Sound Interesting? Then watch this…

Now, that was easy – wasn’t it?

Let’s bring it all together now… with…

Maven Marketing Intensive

Video #4 – Bringing It Home

Review The Details

That was pretty simple, right? Well, it had to be.

See, my video guy wasn’t around at 3:00am when I did these for you. And I’m no video expert. So I set up my own webcam, upgraded my QuickTime to Pro… and made some videos. Nothing you couldn’t do yourself, I’m sure.

And even though this event is very different than any seminar you’ve attended or heard about… it all makes sense now, doesn’t it?

Moreover: Wouldn’t you agree this is a superior solution, even if it’s more difficult to explain?

Obviously, if your schedule and bank account allow… this event would be the one that totally transforms your business and your life forever. That’s why you need to join us:

Register Your Spot

Now I realize that having developed this event… of course I would think the videos made sense. But you still may not agree. To you, it may still be “as clear as mud.”

Anyway, remember in the beginning of this post – I told you I had two contests to tell you about?

Well this issue of clarity brings us to Contest #1

Do you think you could explain… on video… one of the event segments better than I have? If so, I’ve got a way for you to prove it… and come away a big winner at the same time.

Can you help me better convey the specific benefits attendees will take away from this event more clearly?… so that business owners will realize the profound impact this experience will have on their entire future… and help them to take that step… toward achieving the financial prosperity they know they deserve.

If you can, I want YOU be a part of this “never-to-be-repeated” business-building bonanza… on me.

I’ll have more details on this amazing video contest tomorrow. I just wanted to give you the basic guidelines, so you can get your creative juices going overnight.

More on what’s in it for you tomorrow…

Now about Contest #2 … which starts right now:

I want one reader to be my guest at our Disney World event.

That’s right. I’m talking the entire 7-day VIP Mega-Event, including a luxury room at the Contemporary Resort…including all conference meals… including the Advanced Workshop of your choice… including the star-studded Main Event… and even including the “Maven Marketing Intensive” Bootcamp I’m doing with my friend and mentor… the legendary Jay Abraham.

All you have to do is get yourself to Disney World. Then be prepared for the biggest 7 days of your life.

What’s the catch? Well many of our readers told us they enjoyed the “Win My Program” contest we held during our Business Acceleration Program launch; especially the winners. We’ve received so many requests to do it again for the Strategic Profits Live! event at Disney in a few weeks… and I think it’s a great idea too, so…

Q: Why do YOU deserve to win an all-access VIP pass to our Disney event?

Tell us WHY by leaving your comment on this blog post. The entry we judge to be “tops” will be our VIP guest at Disney World from February 23rd through the 29th for the entire 7 day event. And you’ll enjoy all the bounty I’ve just mentioned.

Heck, in addition, I’m even going to award the first 3 runners-up an all-access VIP pass too. Each will get all the VIP event access I’ve described above… they’ll just have to cover their travel and hotel room. Each runner-up winner will also experience the most transformational 7 days of their business lives.

And I’m happy to make it all happen. There’s only one rule everyone must follow…

Absolutely NO sob stories. All entries must be in the form of a cogent letter. You’ll convince me you’re one of the 4 winners by your clear, direct and incisive presentation of your answer to the contest question. It must be to the point, and relative to your business aspirations and the take-aways you’ll use to make them a reality.

Now it’s your turn. Blog post entries will be accepted for the next 7 days. The cutoff date is Friday, February 16th. So get started… and do your best. I’d love to have YOU as my guest at Disney!

Contest has been closed as of Feb 16.

    Hi Rich,

No one can have escaped the signs, perhaps even the effects of an economic down-turn. There are three kinds of entrepreneurs who will make it through the slump; those who profit from a down-turn, those who are sharp business people, or those who are both. I would like to think that I fall into the last category, or at least into the first. I don’t offer people ways of making more money, but offer solutions for living with less. The outcome is the same for most clients: a better standard of living for those who seek the down-sizing approach.

My website tag line is “productivity, creativity, sustainability – self-reliant living in the 21st century”. I am already on the way to becoming a maven in my field (google result for “self-reliant living”: #6 and climbing), one that is growing in this uncertain world. I inspire people to be what they want to be without costing the earth, and give them tools for self-reliance. But I know my own limitations. I want to run my business as efficiently and lucratively (is that a proper word?) as possible. Everyone aspires to a more comfortable life. I’m no exception, and I would like to free up more time and acquir the resources to pursue personal goals. This is where help from marketing experts, like yourself and the other speakers, will take me to that next level, by teaching me how to leverage the available resources, be they human, technical, knowledge or tools. That will be my take-away, the result of which will be a business benefiting myself (and other beneficiaries of my increased wealth) and more clients with better and more solutions. It’s a win-win-win…. situation.

Why do I deserve to win? Like a number of contestants here, I have a track record as someone who learns and applies, tests and tweaks good IM practices, I’m gutsy and have the potential and drive to get to the top in my chosen field. There is plenty, and more detailed, evidence of my achievements to date on my website. The training won’t be wasted on me either; what little free RIA material I have applied, has quadrupled my subscriber number, and raised traffic, stickiness, SE hits, page views per visitor and income within a few weeks compared to the plateau figures of the preceding year. I would be a fool not to apply the teaching, and I’m no fool.

There remains one question: why me and not someone else? There is one more win situation – you.

I suspect you recall my name from the comment section of another page. I don’t pull any punches. I won’t apologize, I meant what I said, and I won’t grovel now because I want to win this contest. I didn’t know you from Adam at the time, and as a potential prospect I want proof that you offer value. But credit where its due, and since then I have listened to the phone call and seen videos and read your reports, so I now know that you offer plenty of value. But here is my point, if you award the prize to a cheeky monkey like me, you will not only be seen as generous, but also magnanimous ;-). Secondly, my credit card is nearly maxed out, and I can’t presently scrape together enough money for the event. I’ve seen the Jeff Walker video, so you probably know where this is going…..

In closing, I’d like to share one of my many mottoes with other readers: “Don’t seek the star, be the star”. Personally, I am happy to be a sparkling star in a constellation of other luminaries, but not content to be a dark, drab, lifeless moon just borrowing the light of the sun.

    Cheers,
    Judy (of the woods)

PS If I don’t make it into the first place (frankly, I would be puzzled, but your reasons would be yours), I would be happy with the Homestudy System as a second prize, since there isn’t enough on my credit card presently to get me to Florida either. It will get me hooked though, and raise my income to the level where I can afford to purchase courses or seminars in the future.

PPS I just gave you the opportunity to be even more magnanimous.

  • Dr. Yishai Jesse Almog

    Rich, Hi.

It is February 15th and time is running out, so I must preface this posting with what I beleive Tolstoy wrote to Checkov at the beginning of a 20 page letter: “I apologize for the length of this letter but I just did not have time to write a shorter one”…

Before talking about why I am the best choice for a VIP invitation to Orlando, I want to express my appreciation and gratitude for your integrity, your willingness to learn, to reveal your mistakes and to share your knowledge. It is a real pleasure and an inspiration, to encounter someone who truly practices what they preach to the extent that you do, and this is a significant factor in wanting to attend the EXPLOSIVE Orlando event as your personal guest.

The fact of the matter is that without this VIP invitation I will not be able to come to the USA for the program (no dramatic sob story, just the way it is). Since I knew there would be a lot of worthy competitors and I might not be selected, I chose to view this contest as a personal invitation – from you to me – to examine myself as deeply and honestly as I can, and to discover within myself the reasons why I am indeed the best choice to be your guest at the program.

I found a passionate desire to seize this transformative opportunity and plunge off the edge of the cliff, aided by the expert nudging of the Magician and his friends (as in Tom McCarthy’s metaphorical story). This magical theme is further reflected in Disney World, which is a particularly illustrative example of turning ones’ vision into a tangible reality – which is precisely my purpose in attending this event.

My vision is to harness the viral communicative power of the Web (and Web 2.0), as a highly accessible platform to provide people around the world with tools for successful living, to help them resolve problems, overcome challenges, find meaning and actualize themselves.

This vision has fueled most of my adult and professional life, and my ability to actualize it is firmly grounded in over two decades of success, innovation and entrepreneurship as a clinical and cross-cultural psychologist, social scientist, organizational consultant, trainer and spiritual teacher.

The time is right for me to actualize this vision on a much grander scale and the internet as an ideal delivery system to do so — and this vision is as realistic as the Wright’s brother’s burning desire to fly. After all, how practical did their vision seem to be before they succeeded?

So, how will this program support my business aspirations?

Janet Switzer’s workshop will give me the specific actionable knowledge that I need to effectively translate my vision into marketable products and services. The main event will give me a concentrated dose of cutting-edge knowledge, taught by the sharpest minds and most successful people in Internet Marketing and business development. This will expand and deepen my understanding of Internet marketing, exposing me to the best ways in which to get my message, my products and services to those who will benefit from it.

Finally, your transformative program with Jay (the “Guru-Making Workshop”) will profoundly re-engineer and shape how I position and express myself in my market, and by catapulting me to Mavenhood, will be a pivotal key to actualizing my vision.

Last but not least, are the relationships and business connections that I will forge at Orlando. These will be a tremendous asset, since the active involvement of partners and collaborators is a crucial factor in turning my vision and business aspiration into reality.

    One final note.

The Orlando program as is going to be electrifying and transformative, but my follow through on it will be the critical factor in my success. That will be the real test. I therefore plan to use your coaching and business acceleration programs, together with the 6 month Maven program follow-up, as additional support and expert guidance to fully develop, launch and skyrocket my global business, which will provide people around the world with effective and accessible tools for successful living.

If I am not selected to be your guest at Orlando, I will continue to pursue my vision with the same intensity, purposefulness and dedication. However, as Tom McCarthy’s concluded his metaphorical story at the end of the Business Acceleration program, the magician only helped his pupils to remember what they already knew – they could have discovered it on their own – but he sure saved them a heck of a long time by pushing them off the cliff !

At age 54 (on March 2), I want to drastically shorten my learning curve and accelerate my ability to manifest the results I seek. Please consider me as your worthy guest at Orlando.

    Sincerely,

    Yishai Jesse Almog, ISRAEL

  • Tony Neilson

    Gentlemen,
I called in to your first, Becoming a Maven in Your Market, teleseminar, also to the second and third attempts, and finally to the fourth. I must admit that I dissed you guys on the Blog for the disorganization but I stuck with you because I had been very impressed with the content of your 3-part Internet Manifesto and your two-part Attention Age Doctrine (I felt as if you had been sitting behind me in my home office) and because I was also aware of and was impressed by Jay Abraham’s marketing prowess.

I was very intrigued by your initial teleseminar, your proposal, and I appreciated that there was a lot of value in the content and guidance you offered. However, with my present commitments and budget constraints I felt there was no way I could afford the cost of the home-study course, let alone going to Orlando.

It was your final teleseminar that got me thinking seriously about the present situation I find myself in. I have one business operating successfully and another on the drawing board. My new venture has at its core a unique and proven practical approach to resolving a habit that literally millions of people are constantly battling and one for which they are actively seeking solutions.

Working alone is difficult, as you made clear in The Manifesto, and I realized beyond any doubt, that this endeavor of mine would benefit greatly from your program, enabling me to propel my business and myself to significantly greater heights than I could achieve on my own. Considering your generous offer, the likelihood that it wouldn’t ever be offered at this pricing again together with the fact that you provided a very manageable payment plan, I realized that in another year I would be able to look back on how investing in you would have returned better dividends than any I’ve made in the past so I signed up for your home course without further delay.

I sincerely would have liked to commit to the three day seminar in Orlando and I was particularly struck by your brief description of what I call experience learning – the interactive learning experience of hands-on working in groups as opposed to the standard lecture-based and note taking. It can teach complex material better than any other method but is so rarely used as a teaching tool outside of the trades.

Your seven-day event promises to be outstanding.
I believe that I deserve to win an all-access VIP pass to your Disney event because:
I am already committed to devoting myself to developing a very successful internet based business over the coming year.
I believe that associating with and learning from successful entrepreneurs, and acting on their wisdom is the quickest pathway to achieve my own success.
I am convinced that my success will be multiplied with the knowledge I’ll acquire by having the opportunity to interact directly with you and your prominent guest speakers by being present in Orlando.
The service I want to provide to people in distress has a use value that will help so many to change their lives for the better and I need all the guidance I can get to find the best way to accomplish this for their benefit and mine.
I will come away from my intensive learning experience in Orlando with a detailed road map to follow in developing my business for the year ahead.
I will become one of your success stories, one you can use as a testimonial to encourage more people to sign up for your seminars and coaching in the coming years.

    Thank-you, Tony

“When you become a master of focus, you become a master of life” Christopher Howard

Hi Rich! Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this conversation and exciting contest!

My most profound breakthroughs in life have come from gaining a greater awareness of who I am as an individual (the good, the bad, and the ugly), while acknowleging and accepting how my beliefs, habits of thought, and perceptions have directly impacted the results in my life and business. A problem well stated is a problem half solved. After coming to terms with the present and loving my self unconditionally, I have cleared the path for miracles of joy, gratitude, abundance and self-expression beyond comprehension. It has been journey, and I am on the high road to realizing my big vision with each passing day!

I first entertained the idea of making extra money on-line while going to school full-time. This was also when I began to explore the wonderful world of personal development.
Since then, I probably attempted success with at least a dozen side businesses to compensate for a mental garden that cultivated lack, need, and incongruency. What’s worse is that I had little to no business and marketing experience and had not yet identified with the concept of taking responsibility for my life. I was a victim, blown and tossed by the wind. I associated responsibility with fault, guilt and punishment. I felt like a Marionette Puppet, controlled by the strings of circumstance, time and my dysfunctional model of the world.

I was introduced to the Internet Manifesto Report while still very cynical, discouraged, and thirsting for the missing link in the chain of disappointments and failures I had experienced in the past. The insight, clarity and raw uncensored input you provided was a real turning point for me! You challenged us to challenge the status quo, think on our feet, and direct our attention to variables and functions that made the greatest difference in our business models, processes, or lack thereof.

As it was with Cinderella and the glass slipper, one size does not fit all when it comes to getting results in a specific business and niche. There are so many other factors involved in order to be successful.

It was the reality check of the century for me. My biggest takeaway was coming to terms with the fact that my website (in and of itself) was not a business. I was not in business. I was in a self-deluded, stuck state and needed to further develop certain skills, do a lot more homework and get some specialized input from someone in my niche if I was really going to transform my castle in the clouds to a city on a hill. I kinda teetered back and forth in this space for a while until I began learning to harness my attention and focus at will.

“When you become a master of focus, you become a master of life!” Christopher Howard

There are so many congruencies between the word focus and attention. Attention is the process whereby a person concentrates on some feature of his or her environment to the relative exclusion of everything else, while focus is the concentration of attention or energy on a thing. Focus is also the maximum clarity or distinctness of an image. Attention and focus has made all of the difference for me, especially this past year. I have been studying the processes and philosophies of an amazing teacher named Christopher Howard. His technologies are designed to strengthen and direct one’s attention in ways that support their desired outcomes. (That’s probably why I am here today and managed to research and complete this document before the deadline.)

The Attention Doctrine 2 is a force to be reckoned with, Rich! More about that later……..

I understand the importance of first knowing and accepting where you are before establishing where you are going. I am also familiar with the amazing power of creativity.

“Life is a pure adventure and the sooner we realize that, the quicker we will be able to treat life as art….We need to remember that we are created creative and can invent new scenarios as frequently as they are needed.” Maya Angelou

I first learned about Jay Abraham while working a temp assignment at an insurance company in downtown New Orleans. I discovered him through Michael Masterson’s Early to Rise newsletter. I was ecstatic beyond belief when first introduced to his business building strategies, processes, ideologies, and innovative ideas. I instantly created an association to his ideologies with my life, community and sustainability. I appreciated the fact that he valued taking all of the risk and always having the client’s best interest at heart independent of any external factors that might get in the way of coming from such an empathetic and authentic space.

“Original form is alive with creative energy and is constantly producing more form…There is no limit to the supply of formless stuff or original substance..” Wallace Wattles

Mr. Abraham has the unique ability to see a business from a quantum perspective and teach others how to do the same. I was introduced to the concept of leverage, optimization strategies, geometric growth, joint venture relationships, and strategic alliances from him. Now the phrasology and processes are a natural part of my marketing arsenal.

I don’t believe it is by accident that the New Beginnings training intensive is being held at Disney World, the happiest place on earth!

Walt Elias Disney clearly exemplified many of the character distinctions and building blocks of personality so simply taught by you and Jay in the Marketing Maven Program. Disney was a puppeteer, researcher, prodigy, voice behind the orchestra, futurist, and family man. I say these only to name a few. Many of us aspire to master 1 or 2 of these roles with excellence during the course of our careers. The ideals his name represents are imagination, optimism, creation, innovation, fun and self-made success in the American tradition!….Walt’s optimism came from his unique ability to see the big picture.” Just Disney

Does this sound like anyone you know?

“What we give our attention to we ultimately become and inevitably create in our lives.” Natascha Bolden :)

Over the past three or so years I have given attention to my own personal development and the incremental building of an enterprise designed to navigate individuals though the information soup and distractions of life from self-awareness to the fullness and freedom of self-expression, utilization, resourcefulness, the philosophy of sustainability, and contribution.

Back to the Attention Doctrine 2 from a perspective of humanity.

I am currently working with an organization called the Green Institute for Village Empowerment (G.I.V.E.) http://www.greenvalleynow.org founded by Ali Sahabi. G.I.V.E. supports and promotes sustainable communities and green practices in life and business. Sahabi had a vision to transform seemingly useless old silica mines into a multi-generational, multi-cultural and environmental friendly center of community and commerce in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. Sahabi and his team have literally brought the “Web 2.0 concept” as it relates to Village Empowerment to fruition in everyday living. They focus on engaging the community, utilization, and leveraging our most precious resources to benefit us on a molecular and global scale.

Rich and Jay, you have an unwavering commitment to integrity, transparency and a genuine interest in the success of those who truly deserve it (and by deserve I mean those who are uniquely qualified in mind, body, spirit and purpose with the clarity, commit, and drive to carry their fondest dreams and aspirations through to completion with reckless abandon no matter what obstacles they may face or how long the journey may be). Your outstanding business and marketing acumen coupled with your faculties of creativity have built for us a yellow brick road of promise on an amazing journey of self-discovery, self-expression, and contribution to the wellness of others by design.

I deserve to be the best Natascha I can truly be! In fact, it is my God-given responsibility. I am a V.I.P. (Very Important Person), aren’t we all? I would very much like to be your guest at this training event, Rich! In all of your teachings you are both very process oriented, as am I. It is about the journey not the destination. I wish to measure myself against myself, create win/win outcomes and an overflow of abundance in my life and the lives of those I serve. I am a fellow researcher, analyst, importer, creator, advocate, innovator, intellectual and visionary. I implement what I learn and have tremendous vision and drive. I am very generous with my ideas and am extremely coachable. I firmly believe in the Advanced Strategy of Preeminence, the power attention has on our world, practicing and teaching the diligent application core principles/philosophies that promote personal development and paradigm shifts not only in business but in relationships, families, communities, the nation and ultimately the world.

“Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve!” Napoleon Hill

We are all one. I have learned so much and continue to go after imitating the heart and character of Jesus, Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn, Chris Howard, Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Pierce, Bob Proctor …..well, too many to mention here. The list could go on and on and I am eternally grateful. I’ve got lots of tools under my belt and the potential to contribute something amazing in my lifetime! I am in want of very specific direction in achieving that end. I believe in taking the long-term perspective to growth and development.

I’m ready to take it to the next level! There are billions of problems to be solved and an equal number of solutions just waiting to happen. I have heard and read about of lot of the teachers that will be participating in the event including Mike Filsaime and Janet Switzer. I would appreciate the opportunity to connect and work with them in some way. I want to participate in a mastermind team and brain trust. Oh and did I mention that I am also a singer! I can perform a set for the amazing networking party gratis as an expression of my gratitude! …….Wow, I’m really going overboard here. Did I just say that?

I have acres of diamonds in the palm of my hand and plenty to spare! Want some?

    http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/rconwellacresofdiamonds.htm

Well, some of them still look clearly like lumps of coal or somewhere in between (actually the vast majority could use a little work:0), but many of them are truly a sight for sore eyes to see!

In closing I would like to end my submission with some powerful words of wisdom and inspiration.

“Well, we’re convinced we must start with the public need..and the need is not just of curing old ills of old cities. We think the need is for starting from scratch on virgin land and building a community that will become a prototype for the future.” Walt Elias Disney

Life……I mean Web/Marketing 2.0 and the Power of Leverage… at its finest!

    Cheers!

    Natascha

  • http://www.realestateblackbook.com/rebb/index.php Peter K

    Hi Rich,

My name is Peter Kolat. You probably recognize my name by now as I have been entering your contests, writing on your blog and around the internet. I’ve been writing about you and what you are doing to help us break the success barrier.

Keep on reading because I will tell you how I used the information in your BAP program to start a viral effect for your upcoming seminar. Before I get into that, let me tell you why I should win the privilege to be a VIP guest at the seminar.

Earlier this year, in my BAP contest entry, I wrote a letter from you to me. Yes, it was from you to me :) That letter showed the results of what I have already done to prove to you that I am worthy of your prize. I took your reports and incorporated the information contained in them into my business with great success.

However, I have to admit that I did not win the BAP prize. So I bought it :) It’s the next best thing. Once I received the program at home, I went ahead and started going through the program. That brought me here, to my next challenge.

One of the topics that you and one of your speakers, Mike Filsaime do so well, is viral marketing. Your messages, reports, programs, and seminars spread like wild fires. So, I took on a challenge to spread my own fire for this seminar.

Proof: (Click on the link below)

    Click
here for the Warrior Forum topic

As of the time of writing this entry, my topic is one of the hottest topics on the warrior forum. There are over 515 people who read my message with 33 comments and counting. People like Jeff Walker, Frank Kern, Eric Louviere, and Jason Moffatt joined the conversation to spread the viral effect of the topic.

I think you probably know by now who I am because you joined that topic as well. IGoogle is a wonderful tool, isn’t it?
Thanks for that tip because I am using it myself as well.

**Side note: I know you enforce no sales pitches at your seminar but what I’ve gathered from the comments on that topic is that Frank Kern might be selling surf boards there. :)**

The reason why I should be one of your VIPs is because of the following 7 reasons:

    1. I take action and I think I have proven to you that I do.

    2. I am a real estate investor and entreprenuer. My heart goes out to everyone that is affected by the declining economy. People are loosing their houses to their banks and foreclosures are at highest levels I have ever seen. I have a plan to help as many people as possible. But I need your help to help me get the word out to the masses. I know that your BAP and the VIP access at your upcoming seminar will definately help me do that.

    3. I am already incorporating social marketing into my business by following your footsteps. I know that the Disney seminar will give me that extra 5% to come out with a bang.

    4. I did your Strengths Kolbe test. I know where I stand but I need you, Jay Abraham and Paul Scheele to make me over into a lean, mean and successful marketing machine. (Ohh, I finally stopped highlighting pages in my books. Mind maps are so much better. Thanks for that tip)

    5. I will be your live testimonial at the event. There will be a Polish accent involved but a great testimonial nevertheless.

    6. I believe that this will be my breakthrough event of my life. The possibilities are endless. The networking opportunities that I can gain from this event are enormous. I am ready to take the bull by the horns. Test me, please!

    7. And last but not least, my birthday is on February 26th. I’ll be 31 years old and this would be the best gift ever. Oh, did I mention that I’m 100% Polish. Hey, if I can do it, then anybody can :)

So, there you are. That is why I should be one of your VIP guests. Right now, I am here in cold Michigan. My bags are packed and ready to fly. I want to be in the sunny Florida at the end of this month. I really, trully, and with all my heart, believe that I will be there.

    Sincerely,

    Peter Kolat

    Hello Rich!

    RE: The Disney Event

I have a mission, a vision, a plan and a message to share with the world! Right now I am in catch-up mode learning everything that I need to do it.

My career was interrupted by a near-fatal accident and brain injury several years ago. I have spent 14 years recovering and finding ways to heal myself. They said it couldn’t be done; but here I am.

I am now looking to surge out into the business world again with skills intact–matured and multiplied many times over by time and much life experience. I have a background in corporate and small business and studied marketing and advertising in college. And, I did have my own successful computer consulting company until the time of the accident.

I’m working in a niche area of the personal growth industry. I need some more information on information and multimedia product development; I need to understand the heartbeat of the internet marketing industry; and, I need to know how to make an impact on the world and get my message out.

Your stuff is great. I would be honored to work with you. This event is awsome and to the point. I’m starting life over. I can’t do it alone; but I CAN DO IT. I would be so grateful for this opportunity. If you give me the chance, I will make you proud.

I wish you the greatest Victory! Thank you for all that you do.

    Yours very truly,
    Louisa Page

    P.S. I’m mountain time.

    Hi!
My name is Maresa, I’m 15 years old, and I am probably the world’s leading expert in one certain area… that area is creating structures with big, plastic building blocks!
I hear you — you’re thinking “Big plastic blocks?!? What’s the big deal!” That’s because you haven’t seen what can be done with them yet!

    http://www.youtube.com/user/LoveToBuild

This is the first video we made ourselves! (We learned it all and implemented it all this afternoon!) And THAT’S exactly why we need to become Mavens. Because manufacturing and marketing them is our family’s business, and after four long years of work and research, we are finally ready to bring them out into the marketplace.

I have built many amazing things, like a tree-house, a pirate ship, furniture, and even a pagoda! All these things were life-size, and you could go into and use all of them. I didn’t have to go to architecture school to learn how to build these things, and neither would you if you wanted to build them! All you would need is your imagination and a bunch of BuilderBLOX! (These are like ‘giant Legos®’, and are really amazing!)

    http://www.BuilderBLOX.com

With them, you can build life size structures that you can actually go in and use! Like that castle you wanted when you were a kid, or that tall tower you’ve always wanted to build for the sole purpose of the satisfaction it would bring when you crashed it down! I have built structures that are over 20 feet high, and these Blox are made out of plastic!

The company is just starting up, and it’s basically a family business. We’re all trying our best to make it a success, because ‘giant Legos®’ are a really great idea! My Mom has been to several seminars, including Jay Abraham and Gary Halbert, but I haven’t gone to one yet. She had me start reading Getting Everything You Can Out of All You’ve Got, as part of our homeschool entrepreneurial project, and I’ve really found it informative. It’s mind-boggling how many businesses run by grown-ups don’t have a clue about putting customers first!
My Mom also spent hours dissecting Rich Schefren’s ‘The Attention Age Doctrine Vol.2’ line by line, because she said it was one of the very best long sales letters she had ever seen. All three of us are big fans of Jay Abraham! In fact, when we drive in the car, instead of listening to the radio, we’ll stick a Jay Abraham CD in the car player and listen to that!

When my Mom heard about the Marketing Maven Seminar, and that John Carlton was teaching a new course on copywriting she was very excited about it, because Jay Abraham is such a great teacher, and Rich is cutting-edge on the internet, and John is very intense and she studies his material industriously because “A great piece of copy is the best salesman you ever have. Anything else is secondary.” (R. Schefren). She really, really wanted to go to your Marketing Maven Seminar but we need to do our next production run and we recently found out that the plastic the blocks are made from has gone up 50% (!) from our first run in June, and she’s paying for two new injection molds for locking pegs and Mini-Blox at the same time. (And this is NOT a sob story, because we are really selling BLOX!) But, she had decided to temporarily cut back on expenses in order to be able to pay for them and keep prices from skyrocketing. I hope we win so my Mom (and my sister and I) can attend, and learn more about bringing B-I-G building to the children of America!

If we’re chosen as the winners, not only would we all be very grateful to you, but me and my sister would probably be the youngest Maven people you’d have! You would have a chance to test your program on us, and if it worked on a teenager and a 12 year old, it would be a great selling point!

My younger sister and I are a very important part of the business we’re starting, and it might be nice to have some smart, interested young people on board! Well, I hope we meet soon, and if not, I’ll bury my sorrows by building. (I’m thinking about making a cabin next!) Good-bye for now! (Hopefully I’ll be saying ‘Hello!’ to all, soon!)

Rich Schefren, you and Stragic Profits and Strategic Profits Live! with the Maven Marketing Intensive are it!

I would be honored to work with you. This event is awesome and to the point, the answer to my needs. I’m starting life over. I can’t do it alone; but I CAN DO IT. I would be so grateful for this opportunity. If you give me a chance, I will make you proud.

P.S. We were trying to post these on Friday night before midnight, and they wouldn’t go onto the blog. We figured that you had closed out the contest on Eastern Standard Time, not California time– it was still around 8:30 in CA. But this morning my Mom saw a new entry and she guessed that maybe these wouldn’t post because they have live links in them.

So, in true, determined, ‘never-say-die!’ entrepreneurial spirit, we are trying again!

  • http://www.BuilderBLOX.com Zara

    Hello!

This is Zara. At 12 years old, I’m probably the youngest person to enter this contest, but my Mom says it is a wonderful seminar and I really want to come, and NOT JUST because it’s in Disneyworld!

I want to learn how to be an ‘official’ Maven, because it’s like being an Ambassador, so I can show kids everywhere how fun it is to build B-I-G things! And help our family company grow,

Here is why I think you should choose us (including my sister and my Mom because I can’t come alone!) as your marketing Maven protege family.

    First, we implement!

My sister went on a youth group ski trip this week, and she wrote an essay for Rich and Jay when she could have been out on the slopes, because she wanted to go so much and Mom was balking. When she came back, Mom read it and decided to enter the contest — on Friday afternoon! We wanted to make a movie showing her latest structure. This is our very first one, so in less than a day, we had to film it, and I had to figure out how to work the download and editing software and put titles on and upload it. I did it most of it by myself! I found out I LOVE editing and filmmaking!! It’s a little rough, and we will do it over, but I put it up on YouTube just for you, Rich and Jay, to show why we want to come!

    http://www.youtube.com/user/LoveToBuild

The second reason is that, like my sister, I already have some background in marketing and copy writing. Because when my Mom drives places, or is making dinner in the kitchen, she is usually listening to a marketing or copywriting CD from her BIG collection of the best marketing experts like Jay Abraham and John Carlton. She says it fills her subconsious mind. She has lots of Mr. Abraham’s CDs because she has been to his seminar in Los Angeles, and Gary Halbert’s in Florida. I didn’t get to go but I did get to go to an advanced NLP copy writing seminar by Harlan Kilstein, in Las Vegas and sat in all the meetings — where I brought up a point a roomful of adults missed! TWICE!  Now that was FUN!

So, it should be easy for YOU to teach me — I’m already pretty ‘grounded’, because I have grown up with marketing concepts embedded in my mind!!

Sometimes, I would get a little jealous of the all the time this took, but now I see how it is paying off! We sold out all our first production run and were interviewed for the newspaper and my sister and I are going to be featured in the Raleigh Marbles Museum next month as ‘Expert Builders’ in a special exhibit they are doing on the BLOX®!  And we’re not even officially launched yet!
So you get a chance to make sure we start out right, because we want to grow our company bigger and BIGGER!

The third reason is that my sister and I are world experts in our niche because we get to work with a fantastic toy that only a few people have yet. And most of those people think they only have “big plastic blocks” and don’t realize what they really have! Because if you have enough, you can make really BIG things that are very complex and it’s a lot of fun and you learn a lot, but it’s not like school. It’s really fun!

    They’re called BuilderBLOX® and they’re BIG plastic blocks.  Like giant Legos® !
Did you like Legos® when you were young? Did you ever want to build really BIG things, like towers you can climb and houses you can go inside, and even lemonade stands or furniture for your own room?  Well, now you can!  We LOVE these BLOX, and we want to bring them to the world so kids can be creative and make things instead of just sitting in front of the TV or computer.
It’s so great for kids. To give them the best experience possible we want to learn how to be Mavens.

    RAVIN’ MAVENS!

If you pick us,  what’s in it for YOU?!?

WELL, that’s the fourth reason! This is the very first Maven program for you, and it’s a new concept, so you’d get a chance to see if your methods work on a range of people from a 12-year old like me, to a teenager like my sister and a seasoned entrepreneur like my Mom.  (She told me to write that instead of her age.) We have a start-up business with a great product that is PERFECT for a Maven Marketing approach.
And, with the competition of Disney-world just outside the door, you could tell how lively and interesting you were talking by watching me!

  • http://www.BuilderBLOX.com Sue

    Dear Rich and Jay,

We have a start-up business with a great product that is perfect for a Maven Marketing approach.
The timing is also ideal, because we are just about ready to launch. We have been ‘soft-selling’ them for about four months as we have just finished working out some complicated production challenges. (It can be trickier to sell real manufactured products than electronic download info products!) and, we are passionateIy committed to producing these in America!

I have been studying marketing for the past four years, including seminars with Jay, and the late great Gary Halbert, John Carlton, Ken McCarthy, and Harlan Kilstein. And homestudies with Eban Pagan and Frank Kern.

I have read every Manifesto, every Attention Age Doctrine, every complex upcoming seminar letter, every Maven Marketing letter, and been on your calls (even the one that fizzled…)

So, if I am so intensely dedicated to learning, and to your concept of Mavenship, why haven’t I signed up for this seminar, which seems so ideal for our launch?

Because, the price of oil has skyrocketed. And plastic is made from oil, and our product — large-scale plastic building blocks, like giant LEGOS® — are made from plastic. Since June, when we did our first production run, the cost had gone up 50% (!!) and I want to launch with a special, not a big price increase.

Also, we ‘re just about to take delivery on two new injection molds we commissioned for new product line add-ons, and these are very expensive. So, tough decisions had to be made, an I chose the traditional way of growing a business — investing in production. (Innovation, not marketing…) Even though I KNOW that your seminar wouldn’t be a cost, but have a big pay-off.

This is NOT a sob story, because we are really in business, and sometimes tough choices have to be made!!)

My daughters really want to go. My 15 year old produced an essay for you on her ski trip! Right at this critical juncture, paying all the tuition ( and I really want to work with John Carlton!), plus airfare for three, plus the prime hotel room, (and how can can two kids be at Disneyworld without seeing it– ka-ching!!) is just too big a stretch.

Then your Contest came, and I was very excited!

But then I sadly set it down, because we are opening as the featured exhibit in our regional children’s museum that very week, and there is way way too much to do. At the last minute before their big new ‘SuperStructures’ exhibit opens, the museum ‘discovered’ us, and asked my girls to be ‘Expert Builders’ and showcase the BLOX in a rush special exhibit with events and architects, and contests because of a newpaper article they just saw– because our PR worked!)
Plus we need to get our next production run done to support our launch, which requires my presence at the factory… And our website is the mid-stages of production, and I need to get a whole bunch of photos and copy that I’ve been slaving over to our webmaster. (We have a ‘squeeze-page’ here: http://www.BuilderBLOX.com ) And I had bought ‘Mass Control’, because we three can all do it at home…

But then, I decided, what good is having products if you can’t sell them?!? MARKETING is the Golden Key. We have a product that is perfect for Maven Marketing. The timing is ideal– just before official launch.

And my daughters have charisma, are world experts in our niche, and LOVE spreading the word about building B-I-G! THEY deserve to be Mavens.

And while we were working on it, your e-mail ’I’m Gonna Tick Some People Off…’, came and you kicked my butt, Rich!

So, on FRIDAY, we plunged into the world of YouTube. We implemented like crazy! We made our first video in honor of you, Rich and Jay, as thanks for getting us implementing. My youngest figured out to load, edit and uplink it, pretty much on her own. She discovered that she loves video and editing. So, it was worth it, even if we don’t win! See it here: http://www.youtube.com/user/LoveToBuild

And WOW– the chance to work with the legendary JOHN CARLTON again would be such an extraordinary bonus, because I have been writing our copy for several months now, and it is ready for evaluation.

I hope you will consider us for some type of scholarship! We would love to participate!

    Sincerely,
    Sue Miller

Well I know that I may not be popular in saying this but…. if you are on any free teleclasses these days you will hear the same things that Jay says here in this video. I would only expect that he would expand on the subjects but still it is the same subject just 3 hours longer to prove his point. I would not pay $25,000 or even $300 to someone that repeats something that I hear over and over again from teleclasses for free and programs for sale much less costly from every person that wants to sell you something on the web. I understand that Jay has been doing this for a long time and one of the greatests at figuring out the clients hearbeat, if I must say so myself. But I personally have not heard him say anything different or innovative for the last three years but just repeat HIS program to up HIS sales. I am sorry Rich, the attitude that Jay has on this video is very downgrading to some of his audience that asked him questions toward. I am a speaker and would NEVER talk to my audience the way that he did. And just a note, the post previous to me (Sue) was NOT a letter to you Rich and Jay but another sales letter to divert people to her website. I guess I am a little critical these days of people that charge such high prices for the “secret” to selling Zillions, and to people that post on other peoples logs JUST to have them go to their website kind of burns my cookies. Isn’t anyone else tired of all this information overload? I know that I am.

I too didn’t really like the way Jay presented the info to the audience. Too much fairy dust, not enough meat and potatoes. Real world examples are the way to present this type of info. Not metaphoric ramblings that need someone to interpret them. Not that it was all bad but , many times I found myself thinking ” what the heck does that mean”? …and I’m not even a newbie to the business world or marketing.

Anyway …. best wishes and please do some refining.

    Rich:

Why do I deserve to win an all-access VIP pass to our Disney event?

I run a small company of 4 people which has been hurt by the down turn in the luxury home market. We have developed a product for a sub-division that will change the home automation dramatically. Just by taking the 2 modules I have learned a lot. We are changing our company atmosphere for the better by following your instruction. Using your method we plan to market it to other companies in our industry. That is why I would benefit by being your honored guest at your event. This would allow me to concentrate on your program only. I now juggle between work, home life and your course. This would be my vacation time which I had to shelved last year to help my company survive.

If I am chosen this would be the first time in my life that I would get training by the best in the business. My whole career I was promised training and then they would say either there was no time for training the project was behind or you would be board by our instructors. Most companies would have me read books and then I would be told to instruct others. I then gave up and built four companies for my partners and myself. Sold them for about $150,000 to $250,000 wait for the two year non-compete and begin again. Until now there is no go to book or course to help me get to the next level.

Even if I am not the lucky one to win the Master prize I will follow your path that has been shown to me. It will be longer than the Disney event but I know it will work out in the end.

    Thank you
    Bill Bew
    Your greatest fan.

    Hi Rich,
Where do we check to learn the names of the, “Why do YOU deserve to win an all-access VIP pass to our Disney event?”
I was expecting to hear from you by now!

I will help so many live a life of passion; a life where they do what they love and contribute goodness to the world at the same time.

I will be helping these people build businesses revolving around what they are passionate about, something that they would do for nothing in return and advance beyond anyone else in the area and…

I will turn these people into Mavens; mavens that will bring so much more of Love, Fulfillment, Happiness, Security and Beauty to the people of this world.

These people will be able to use their passion that is fueled by never-ending inspiration to contribute so much to the world by guiding people in the right way, because they will be the BEST they can be at their businesses with the mavenship knowledge that I will pass onto them; the knowledge that I will get from this event.

Actually, all I want to say is – it may be late and even though I’m from half the world away, the air tickets are still there for me. :)
