I just kept my silence, sure it did discouraged me a little, and you are damn right I will prove them wrong. But I am not going to engage to an unnecessary debate. There is a quote saying “..it takes a bigger man to walk away.” And to think I’m actually the rebellious type.

They say I wouldn’t be able to finance my education when I’m dead broke. Well I did, by delivering pizzas at night. (Plus effective time management.)

When I told them my ideas and aspirations of being a successful entrepreneur by helping others, they laughed. And said others will not appreciate it.

And then we have a cliche where, “..all entrepreneurs do not have high level education.” But who is say that I will not succeed with a sound level of education?

Why am I doing all these? If you think that I’m dead serious to prove everyone wrong, well YOU are wrong. What will I attain by achieving that?

When I was struggling to pay my tuition fees 9 months back,(I am graduation next year, with god’s will) I have a couple of options, work 23 and a half hours a day or find a way to maximize my income. To be honest, I did tried internet marketing, as I am a greenhorn, I got burnt by PPC. Now that spells trouble for me as you can imagine.

There has to be better way and I am not about to give up. In the 2 months when I was busy “getting my hands burn” on PPC, It dawn onto me that I can use the “affiliate model” as system and implement it to offline marketing.

Unorthodoxed? Maybe.. But it worked! I joined a company that specializes in providing after-school supplementary tuition. All I have to do is to get students and engage them to a suitable tutor provided by the company. And I get a 50% commission off the every 1st month of the students tuition fee.

Wait, you must be wondering what this has got to do with affiliate marketing I mentioned earlier right? Yep! you guessed it! I recruit my own affiliates! Most of my affiliates are also struggling students. And I can see ways now that I could take this a step further.

In fact I already have ideas to take things not only a step further but MULTIPLE steps.

Many of my affiliate “recruits” became friends and I can see them as aspiring entrepreneurs too. I am grateful and thankful that I am able to motivate them and myself and I learned alot from the experience. Even with my limited knowledge, I am still able to guide them and some of them even have their own online store. It is heart-warming to be able to guide and teach others and know that I am capable to touch a few.

I may not be earning thousands a day, but I am happy with what I have achieved so far but I believed that greater challenges will come my way and I have the ability to accelerate my businesses to a much greater height and bring success to not only myself but others too.

I hope my story will inspire others out there. Once you believe and take flight, you will soar to heights you have never imagined before.
