As many of you know, we launched our “66 Seconds Video Contest” about a month back. And I’ve got just one thing to say…
WOW!
We received an incredible 89 videos in response. And let me tell you…it was quite a job to go through all of them.
In fact, our in house video maven, Alan, had more than a few sleepless nights, organizing all of the videos at a frantic pace.
So we watched each and every submission. And believe me when I say: You people are AMAZING!
We saw some really outstanding videos, some that even rival what we do here at Strategic Profits.
There were even a few that were…shall we say…a little on the risque side. My eyeballs nearly popped out a time or two, and I think we wore out a mouse hitting the “rewind” button.
But anyway, after lots of late-night discussions, we narrowed it down to a few finalists, then picked the 4 Grand Prize Winners including the number of “Diggs” received in our decision making process.
Onward with the winners …
The prize for Most Humorous Video goes to Mark Fitzpatrick. Mark’s Gary Vaynerchuk impression had everyone rolling on the floor. I think one of our staff (name graciously withheld) even peed a little, she was laughing so hard. Nice work, Anna!
| Winner’ Name | Category | Diggs | Final Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mark Fitzpatrick | Humorous | 219 |

The Most Informational Video submitted from Buddy Rathmell Wow, this one really blew us away. I even learned a thing or two from it. Buddy, if you ever want to move to Delray Beach and work for me, it’s a done deal–excellent job!
| Winner’ Name | Category | Diggs | Final Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buddy Rathmell | Informational | 305 |

The Most Compelling Video prize had to be Adam Water’s “6 Months In 66 Seconds“. This was of those things that everyone in the office gathers around to watch, then watch again, then watch again. Then you forward it to everyone you know. Simply riveting. Well done, Adam!
| Winner’ Name | Category | Diggs | Final Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adam Waters | Compelling | 281 |

There were a LOT of contenders for the Most Outrageous Video. (You people reaaaalllyy love pushing the limits, don’t you?) But the one that edged out all others was Jay Douglas’s. Words really can’t do it justice…you have to see it for yourself.
| Winner’ Name | Category | Diggs | Final Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jay Douglas | Outrageous | 252 |

But the SUPER GRAND PRIZE of the all-expenses-paid Las Vegas Networking Trip–along with everything above– goes to Andrew Lock for the “Attention Age Doctrine” trailer. He will spend several fun filled days partying in Sin City with me and the top 5 affiliates from my recent launch. Way to go, Andrew!
| Winner’ Name | Diggs | Final Points |
|---|---|---|
| Andrew Lock | 291 |

Love the wine man impression- especially reference to “rich” body and tire tread -priceless. Who says business cant be fun!

It’s great to see that all winners are ‘ordinary’ people – not marketing experts but real people that actually need the prizes they won and put in all the creativity they had.
I totally love all the video’s that won and learned some new things too. Eventually you can learn from any video since they still got a lot of attention. And remember, attention is good!
-Dave
I am confused. Looking at the results Jay douglas won in the Category for most outrageous movie while I have a 10 vote digg It lead?
What aspect in the judging of points have I missed?
I am not depriving him of his victory at all If you say he won the he has won.
Also where there anyway to measure how the final score was so that I could have gotten a proper image of how I ranked for my category?
Finally I would just like to clarify that altough I am abit dissapointed(naturally) I don’t want to be seen as a “complainer” but rather to add to the understanding of the contest system for further study by me and everyone else.

Congratulations to all the winners. Awesome work! Very entertaining.
Hello,
Andrew and I want to thank the academy and our parents for all the support…
Really, I’m so glad you guys really like our little movie trailer, it was very fun to do!
Thanks,
Jeremy Frandsen
I thought all the videos were outstanding! They all deserve to win.
Since I have never been able to say anything in just 66 seconds, I just decided to put the Doctrine to work right away instead of submitting a video for the contest.
Check out my video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VASasIl9CmU and see how I intend to turn 16 Veterans into 16 Millionaires.
The best part is that Gary Vaynerchuck has agreed to help me learn how to turn these Veterans into Mavens!
Rich, I want to thank you for helping me see the light and expand my little project into something that will really be worthwhile.
Happy New Year,

I’m inspired… those are all fabulous!
Hey, Buddy R…. looks to me like you got one of the best prizes of all! That’s one impressive offer from Rich! Are you done pinching yourself?
No really… you guys and gals have put some fire back into my thoughts… thank-you all. Can’t wait to unleash my new project.

I just watched Rich on The Next Internet Millionaire, secret classroom. He was billed as the “Coach to the Gurus”, and for 11/2 hours he kept me spell bound. He started at the beginning and went through his philosophy. This guy IS the Maven, and does it with certainty.
Thanks for the inspiration, now I just need to find my own valuable expertise, and get busy, because as Rich says
“there is no problem that revenue can’t fix”. It’s amazing what I don’t know, but I do know that it is time to get busy.
These videos prove that there can be no progress without action. You guys are awsome!
My favorites are Jay Douglas and Andrew Lock… they’re all
great though and those are great prizes!
Fran
Hi Rich,
I think most of the videos were amazing. Was the winner selection is based upon the number of digg and stumple upon tags.
I am really amazed to see how much of impact this report is doing in the world.
Can’t wait to see your next challenge.
Thanks,
-Gaj

The wine guy was awesome. All the little things most people probably missed the first time were priceless in that one.
Hello Rich,
OK, so congratulations to the 4 winners.
But come on; not even an honorable mention”?” Sure, I broke all the rules and didn’t do as you asked but I did get onto CNBC!
I mean, really, “CNBC”; national TV,,, aired during the prime daytime stock hours. OK, so it’s about Dome Homes but take another look:
http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=588608768
We built it ourselves, pitched the story to big wigs and got over a minute on the national boob tube, that’s got to count for something…
Way to go winners.
(I think I got something out of this little exercise too)
Sincerely,
Bruce Nelkin LMT ;)
Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated and got their video posted online! (Rich, please see my e-mail from a while back with a question regarding my 7 hours work).
See you in Orlando, along with the others who bought your BAP. Good contest. Clarification would help. Thanks…

Great job, everyone. I really enjoyed voting in this and saw that 3 of my faves got picked. I somehow missed the wine guy the first time around, but what a riot.
My favorite is Buddy’s You Can Become A Maven. I need all the help I can get. And it’s a good thing there are funnier people out there than me to keep me entertained!
Cheryl
Hi Rich:
NO. It wouldn’t be me there as a winner.
I honestly believe that the only way this deaf old coot will ever be on the Internet is if he first can purchase a Laptop, and the have someone place the proper program on it.
I made this suggestion last year to a couple of people that had tried to give me a working website, and all were blocked out at the finish line.
First would mean finding an offer and then buying the laptop
WOW
These are amazing and I am sure that there are some crackers in the runners up as well.
So imaginative and creative. People really took up the challenge and they didn’t have long to do it either.
But once again Rich, the genius was the competition itself and the attention it created. So many people working hard to promote you and your ideas.

Congrats to the Grand Prize winners!
Congrats to all other entries cos I think you’re winners too!
With only 4 days to pull this together and from the blog I could see that some people didn’t have all the equipment and skills to make it happen (yes I was one of those people too) it’s been a huge and fun learning curve!
I think the competition is great and I’m hooked on everything coming from Rich and the SP team. As a traditional marketing professional I don’t buy into all the Internet marketers that easily however Rich cuts through all the fog and clutter.
You da man Rich and thanks for sharing cos we know you didn’t have to.
See you next month in Orlando – I’m booking my flights etc this week!
Happy Tuesday and to greater abundance
Desiree
Congratulations to all the winners. You really do deserve it. The videos are awesome.
And to you Rich, you really are a great guy. Your teachings and insights and above all real life examples have given me something to work with. Taking action is the most important thing here.
Anyone who doesn’t learn AND IMPLEMENT even the free info you are giving, really needs to go back and reflect. Something could be wrong.
Thanks to you Rich and your GREAT team. You guys are MAVENS and sure enough, a greater percentage of US here will soon become mavens too in our different areas of expertise.
More success you ALL.
The first one concept is nice But should be much more clear while in speaking…..
Super Grand Prize – Andrew Lock has presented very professionally he deserve it his rewards.
Overall…U have got HITS (attention) Man!
Ali.
Hi Rich, thank you for very much for your generosity, giving your readers this wonderful opportunity and most importantly motivating us to take massive and immediate action by stipulating a 36 hour deadline.
See you very soon!
Adam
P.S. I especially take my hat off to Andrew Lock, a very deserved grand champion. Congratulations mate!
Rich -
If you honestly feel these constitute winning material in ANY catagory my chances of producing anything worthwhile in the future are poor and none! The one where the guy got hit by a Mack truck was pretty good but the others – - holy smokes! I am not trying to put any of them down it’s just that I obviously don’t know what people like and I d— well better find out. Perhaps I need to look at a truckload of stuff like this (gag) in order to find out. That’s the value of what you have done here is to me and frankly – that’s a lot!

Is there a reason that it says “We’re sorry. This video is no longer available.”??
Congratulations to the winners.
Very entertaining and creative videos.
It made my day watching them. :-)
What a great idea to have a contest!
Loved the ghosty! should have amature video category and profi video makers/animators, I think.
To the winners
Congrat to all…
Especially, glad my fan (Jay Douglas) won!
Jay, thank for the wonderful videos you made
for John Delavera of TurboMembership.com
I hope you enjoy the prizes.

:) Excellent Videos, Congratulations to all!
I had a couple of weeks off, so didn’t get to vote, oops, but great choices… would have been tricky to decide I’m sure.
I did finally get a logitech webcam, so watch out for next time!
Hope everyone enjoyed some happy holiday times too!
Cheers,

The “super grand prize” winner was some killer editing. That’s a filmmaker waiting to happen.
Oh also,
that skeleton one was…
wild.
How’d he do that?
Rich,
Congratulations on a very innovative marketing idea. You have blitzed the web with dozens of videos promoting yourself and your business, and others have done most of the work at their own time and expense. Now that’s leverage!
Your contest winners are very deserving. Congrats to them!
The downside I see to this marketing experiment or model is that there are only four winners among all your loyal customers that stepped forward and did a massive amount of work in a short time frame in producing their videos.
Some even spent money on video cameras, editing software, video clips, music, etc. All put in hours of effort, to be sure.
Here’s my “take away” from observing this experiment:
From the comments above, some are feeling a little sour about being left out of the prizes. Others are, once again, feeling the sting of putting in time and effort on the web and seeing nothing in return for their effort.
Sure, those that had never done a video before may have learned something in the process “of doing” but that’s little consolation for anyone that has produced a video before.
Why not let everyone that participated feel “rewarded” for their effort by doing something special for them as well as the winners? The reward doesn’t need to be anything grandiose or elaborate – just a little token recognizing their effort and thanking them for their volunteer participation.
Maybe their reward is a 10% discount on a product, a “closed” conference call, a free report not given to others, a link from one of your sites . . . it could be anything.
As it is right now, all the video contest “losers” are being treated exactly the same as the thousands of subscribers that didn’t lift a finger or spend a penny of their own money in support of this campaign.
If social marketing is really about creating relationships and giving exceptional value, I would think that loyal customers that step forward to promote your business should be given some special attention and consideration above the run of the mill mailing list subscriber.
Just my thoughts, Steve
Those videos were awesome, high energy, brilliant, and do “exactly” what this whole doctrine was about.
I got energized, smiled, and laughed a little too…all without selling…isn’t that what this is all about?
It’s like when I saw the stompernet guy do a strip tease video…it was hilarious, and it puts you in a great mood, and you definitely want to click through…
Great work everyone…and congrats to all the winners…it’s all about bringing fun back to this business and industry…
Making money and having fun…what’s better than that?
Take care,
Scott

Those videos were fantastic…Bravo.
Isn’t that what the whole doctrine is about, and where the shift in online marketing and network marketing are going?
Being able to watch a video, that entertains you, puts a smile on your face, make you laugh a little or feel energized…all without selling.
It’s awesome and it makes this whole marketing world a whole lot more fun…
Those days of blatant selling are over, and I’m happy for that.
I use this style of attraction/entertaining marketing all the time, and it’s been working like clockwork…
People just flock to your business, offer, or just want to know more about what you are doing.
Great job everyone…really, congrats to all the winners!
Take care,
Scott

Wow, what amazing talent. Enjoyed all of them and congratulations to the winners.
It is not difficult to see which way things are moving in marketing direct. These videos are just the beginning. Great stuff. Doug
It is really an excellent well done video in able to bringing up and highlighting Rich Schefren’s great expertise, strengths and foresight in Internet marketing and at the same time, seamlessly greatly endorsing Rich’s “Attention Age Doctrine”.
Well Done!
Cheers!
