The Inner Sanctum Exposed

I just finished up with several presentations at the Early To Rise Boot Camp this week…

What a fantastic event. Michael Masterson and MaryEllen Tribby really went over and above for this one. And I was honored to be one of the speakers.

As it usually happens with these types of seminars, most of the speakers gathered in a private suite to relax, catch up, and talk shop.

I was able to reconnect with old friends like Alex Mandossian and Yanik Silver, as well as get to know brilliant people like David Cross and Marc Charles a lot better. Plus, it’s always good to see Buck Rivzi and Brock Felt.

Now, I know what many of you are thinking, because I get it all the time when I mention these “inner sanctums”…

“Wow, Rich… I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in there!”

I can understand that. When you get some of the world’s greatest marketing and business building minds in one room, creative sparks tend to fly. And million dollar deals tend to be struck.

But I’ll let you in on a little secret…

Our private suite wasn’t where the REAL action was.

Nope–the meaty, juicy stuff was inside our COO Brian Johnson’s circle.

Let me explain…

If you read my “Man Behind The Curtain” post a week or two ago, you know Brian takes care of the business at Strategic Profits. He’s my number one guy.

And whenever there was a break at the event, Brian was huddled with a handful of his contemporaries, comparing notes on recent promotions, future launches, and current trends.

But all that took a back seat to the main topic of conversation–how to effectively run the day-to-day operations of a multi-million dollar business.

Because Brian opened the proverbial can of worms with this call.

    Hey Rich, awesome call, unlike anything I’ve ever heard before. I heard the call when you first let us know about it, and here are just some of the take aways that I recieved.
    First map out all the processes that you have in your business, including every position, what the person in that position is required to do, and how they are supposed to do it. If you do this, then you have a manual for all the people that work with you in your company. Note, by posting this blog, you have reminded me that this is something that we still need to do Thanks for the accountability Rich
    Second, map out these positions while your company is still small so that when you grow larger, you don’t freak and everything can just fall in to place. I think that this is the only true plug and play system that you will find that works.
    There was a lot of other meat in that call, but it is close to midnight here, and my brain just doesn’t want to go thereright now. so, I think that I will leave it at that for now. cool post Rich, keep them commin’

    These maps helps you identify and pinpoint exactly what is going on in your business and help you to be able to communicate to others exactly what is going on in your business.

    Another take from this call was if you can not measure what is going on in your business then how can you expect to be successful. Process maps helps you continually improve business processes and know exactly where you need to make those changes.

    I will definitely begin to use process maps in my business to move to higher grounds.

    I was on that call and it was great. By listening to the GREAT internet Markerter, they make it sound so easy but I know if you want a great product there is work. I love to hear the ways they put things together and made it work. (organizing), and loving what they are doing.

    What I got from them is take it all in, (ways and means) and then put their plan to work in your business. Learn from the GREATS , and you’ll have an awesome site. Plus listening to them made me realize my skills. Use them because if you don,t they will cease to exist.
