Guess what?
In my race to put the finishing touches on The Attention Age Doctrine II… I completely spaced on a gift I put aside for you.
So, here I am in the office after hours – setting things right.
But first a question:
How much of the Attention Age Doctrine do you remember?
Since it’s been a while, I’d bet you’re a little fuzzy on the details.
If that’s true, we need to get you back up to speed pronto.
You see, the first Doctrine surfaced why entrepreneurs everywhere now struggle when trying to grow their business.
But if you don’t remember the details… you’re going to be short-changed in what is certainly going to become the "Must Read" Report Of 2007.
And if you know me at all – you know that I simply can’t allow that to happen.
So, here’s what we’re going to do about it:
I’ve created a mindmap summarizing the critical points of The Attention Age Doctrine.
But there’s more to my gift than just that.
I’ve also prepared for you the diagram that started it all. This was the diagram I created that set me off on this year long search for the incredible information you’ll get in the second Doctine."
Combined, this two page pdf will give you the key points to chew on while I wrap up the details on my end.
You can get your summary copy of The Attention Age Doctrine Summary.
All you need to do is review it once. You’ll then be primed and ready to pounce on every new profit strategy you’ll discover in Doctrine II.
If you want to be doubly sure, print them out a put them on your wall.
Either way, you’ll be all set when I pull the trigger.
Oh, yeah, one last thing…
It would really help me out if you shared the top 3 questions you’d like answered in the Doctrine II. This way I can make sure that I haven’t left anything out before I pass it over to Lauren, our graphic artist.
So what do you say? Will you help a brother out?
I sure hope so.
PS – I’ve been receiving a large amount of emails lately from people who have been looking for the first Doctrine. Just to be clear, it’s no longer available. If you sent in a request, I apologize but I promised it would only be available for a limited time and a promise is a promise.
My suggestion to you is review these diagrams more frequently and you’ll be caught up when it’s time for the rubber to hit the road.

Hey Rich,
being the first to leave a comment here – I want to thank you.
Thanks for the great overview of the report. I actually like mindmaps more then all those reports, they’re to time-consuming in my opinion. And also a thanks for letting this out to everyone who couldn’t get his hand on the AD1.
To Your Success,
Dave Origano
Thanks for the report. We are definitely to the information overload point. There used to be an I.T. guy. Now I.T. covers so much territory only a few years after the term was coined that you have to be a specialized I.T. guy. It’s crazy.
Rich,
This was a great idea (to provide the download), but I wonder if people might overlook the real gift you’ve given us here. Just in case, let me point out the value I see:
It is a great refresher on the Doctrine — for sure — and it also gives an insight into how you prepare your ideas when you’re writing one of your reports.
Smart marketers will study the mind-map and think about how they might use a similar approach to creating valuable content for their own businesses.
Thanks for being so open with your materials and processes.
Nice summary rich. Looking at a diagram sure saves a lot of time than re-reading the entire text document.
Hey Rich,
Thanks for the MindMap great info… appreciate you sharing. I run my business by this tool “MindMaps” everything has a process, task and system.
Cheers,
John
How do we get a copy of Part I of the Attention Doctrine.
Link seems to be well hidden.
No body knows!
It’s a leg up……
Our mind absorbs information in various ways & you have made it easy on us.
Thanks Rich!
Thanks for sharing this Rich,
I am huge fan of yours and eat anything that comes from you :)
My business is already improving with all your advice.
Thanks,

Thanks Rich, as usual you’re so generous. Looking forward to #2,
happy day!
Viv
Well done as usual Rich.
Having this info is a sure fire competitive advantage.
I started using mindmaps after i had joined your program.
Best decision i ever made.
As for questions for Report #2,
How do people who have now narrowed the amount of things they spend their attention on know when it is time to move on to the next required role in running their business?
How do we offer another “technology” (membership site/forum/elearning platform etc) to a target audience which is already overloaded with information?
If the best way to help overloaded people is to help them buy back their time, what percentage of their hourly value saved do we charge them on an ongoing monthly basis?
I am looking forward to all of the suggestions on how to capitalize in the Attention Deficit Economy.
Thanks,
Thanks,
This is the kind of information that i really like. I was at the Delray seminar and it was amazing. I hope to see you in person again in Orlando. Keep up the cutting edge content. Maybe you can have Eben Pagan as one of your trainers this time around.

Being a visual person I love mindmaps they make much more sense to me than the written word.
Thank you so much for sharing this useful informations.
Hey Rich,
Saw you in Sydney and just joined your group – fantastic and really love your stuff
Just one thing, I happend to be a Master trainer in Mind mapping and work with Tony Buzan and people all around the world – I am in Shanghai at the moment and then heading to Singapore for the Global Mind Mapping Conference and the building of the world’s largest Mind Map
The thing is that your diagram isn’t exactly a Mind Map – while it is really informative and valuable as is, you will enhance your thinking even more by applying the easy strategies/how to mind map laws
see http://www.buzan.com.au/learning/mindmapgallery.html for the laws and to see what an authentic Mind Map looks like. Be interested in yours and others thoughts on this.
cheers
Jennifer
Rich
Once again you have come up with a crystal clear diagram of the issues.
I am very much looking forward to reading Part 2.
Thanks
Paul
Cards on the table (at least some, and some interesting ones!) – that has become a rare thing in this f***ed up business. Thanks Rich!
Money, “guru”, success, whatever – you are one of the few guys in this industry with brains, spine and a certain amount of decency and ethics. ;-) That’s much appreciated!
I quit the business world and the “marketing” industry and hit other playgrounds – but there are still some blogs I keep an eye on. Your’s is one of them. And some techniques apply everywhere – mindmapping is great stuff, I use it from writing to project management almost everywhere.
Keep it up and thanks a lot from a guy in old Europe who still loves to do deals the old way: a look at the eyes, a firm handshake, and good stuff for good cash.
Martin
I promise myself to read the report first and back here again to put my review. But the main point is to do what you say in the report.
Thanks and greating from Indonesia.

A fascinating diagram. Maybe with very little adaptation it could be applied to many different contexts ~ for example how people buy art?
Stephen
Your mind map is spot on. My area of intereset is Emotional Intelligence, we are fast reaching a tipping point for many more people to become dysfunctional. We seriously need to change the mindset to work. Allowing people to move to a higher level of functionality. To transcend the egoic mind and maximise their true potential. Reaching these people before meltdown is my concern. What is the most effective way of making one’s message stand out?
Fond regards,
Joseph
Being a logic freak, I can’t follow orthodox mind maps (referred to by someone on here previously), but yours make sense to me. Thanks.
Seems to me that we’re getting within smelling distance of the release date for Attention Age Doctrine part 2…
3 things I have trouble with:
1. Issues crop up that are too urgent to ignore or even delay responding to, and this puts me off track – for example an attempt 2 days ago to get me blacklisted by using a bot to sign up a list (of some 3,000 names) for my Gluten Factsheet in one day – and then, of course, many of them clicked on the “spam” button.
2. As, with the best will in the world, I am not in a position to pay anybody at the moment, I have to do it all myself, so I may be out with a client, cold calling etc when I really should be working on other aspects of the business. Without the client visits and cold calling I will have no cashflow – how do I get round this?
3. Pricing, and joint ventures. I have a graphics-oriented friend, and we share projects. Is 50:50 fair, do you think? We apply this on all ventures, whoever finds them.
Rich,
Thanks for the mindmap.
While you are at it, where is the mindmap you promised of the ETR 2007 Bootcamp I went to as a result of the info you sent? Still havent heard from you on that one
Michael
Rich, I want to say first and foremost thank you for the download and refresher. Your reports have always found there way to my bookshelf and used as guidance on many occasions! This Mindmap will allow my ADHD to calm down a little whenever I begin developing more of my own reports.
You’ve never stop surprising me with your unending creativity. It’s awesome and inspirational too.
Thank you for verbalizing in your mindmap and diagram what for several years I have been feeling and not able to put my finger on. I see lots of others doing what I feel, vaguely and sometimes not so vaguely, is unethical. In fact they advertise, as their principals what I consider to be unethical. And they say that their associates become “family”. What has happened to morals in this country that people associate publically on how much they can defraud others? Are we that desperate? And more importantly what do we do about it?
Un-freaking-believable!
Yet again Rich you have hit the proverbial nail squarely on the head. You have MY attention!
I await Part 2 of your doctrine with eager anticipation.
Michael Cheney
I am brand new to internet marketing… getting started on a blog/website.
Where in the process does mindmapping become a tool to use?
Hello Brother,
I have a pdf copy of part 1 but the diagram is absolutely handsome.
My top 3 questions at this point are the below:
1. what are the marketing tactics I can use to distinguish my products from the crappy competition and score higher in terms of customer attention?specially that crappy competition can do what I can’t do (non-ethical acts) to win the attention game.
2. what could be done to keep the gained attention of a customer the longest possible?
3. what actions you suggest I take for the potential loss of customer attention? and when is the best time to trigger that action to regain that established attention?
The idea is to grap attention and retain it without having to lower my standards and with being able to remain distinguished.
Hope this helps
Amal
In a simple method to enhance my knowledge this only gave a better insight on the necessities for on line marketing success. There are many things I work on now in order to have the next level of success this will drive me to the next level.
This is fascinating stuff. These mind maps truly amaze me. Keep up the good work.
Steve
Where’s the link to view part I of the Doctrine?
Link to The Attention Age Doctrine Part I? Does it exist? If so, where is it?
Rich,
Your mindmap has now been printed out and placed on my wall.
I really look forward to the next doctrine. I really believe it can help me get the edge, get ahead and get noticed big time in the Attention Age.

Thanks Rich. Keep up the good work. You never fail to amaze me.
Thanks for this mindmapp or perhaps one can perceive it as a time map or both?
Anyway, I appreciate this gift.
Rich, there are fewer and fewer people that I look to for insights that can save me time and money as I build my business and you are one of the Very Few. You help me to keep my Focus onthe Goal and off the noise around me. I look forward to reading your newest report and learning more from you. Thanks for sharing so much with us all.
Henry Griner
Thanks Rich,
I got an email from Michael Cheney and followed it through to download birth of attention. So I printed it and yeah … thanks! after just a wee glance now I’ve had to give up on any chance of sitting down on a friday night with my favourite comedy, “Father Ted” …. Aahh the sacrifice … ;)
Nice work with your ‘hypothesis’, Rich …
Now you need to show us statistical data for proof.

Hey Dexter,
Mind Maps can be used at every part of the process – anytime you want to do some thinking. A Mind Map radiates from the centre so put the issue you want to think about in the middle of the page and then branch out the key issues.
So if your current issue is writing a blog, or designing your new product launch, planning an event, or mapping out the various customer profiles/personas, you can very quickly draw branches to see what you know about the topic and what you need to figure out.
cheers
Jennifer
Hi Rich,
Once again you are right on target. The challenge today is information over-load.
Thanks for the Mindmap. Each day we are flooded with emails from various internet
markets wanting us to purchase this product and that product.
Rich thanks for your great contribution.
Arthur(Bermuda)
Hey Rich,
Excellent info I love the mind map.
Your work has no doubt been able to help thousands of people around the world,if I could manage to do even a fraction of that I would be a very happy man.
Great Work
James Howard
At last! A simple (but by no means simplistic) diagram of the “the hurrier I go the behinder I get” scenario in information marketing. The belief that the next bit of information will make it easier to know which way to go is a total illusion — we exhaust ourselves in chasing these mirages. What we end up with are 7,382 pieces from 15 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzles and are completely frustrated when we can’t put one puzzle together.
If Attention Age Doctrine II can provide a light through all this, I am more than ready to read and assimilate it.
Martha
Hi Rich,
You have done it again!
Like the others too – cannot wait to get part 2 of the Attention Doctrin. Thank you.

Hi Rich
Thanks for some deep thoughts about the worldwide explosion of new internet marketers. This can be frustrating for those who thought that they were dominating the internet earlier. But we must know that an explosion of marketers also means an explosion of new customers and of course also “surfers” and “lookers” on our websites. This is a challenge we must face but also know that if we provide quality content then there will always be customers even in a crowdy worldwide market. I still see this more as an opportunity instead of problem.
Thanks for your splendid work

Hi Rich,
I can hardly wait to see Attention Age Doctrine 2 and the Acceleration Clip is Exciting!
You are an Inspiration Rich!

As my promise here is my short review.
Yes. It’s very short.
How do I remind this complex map?
The answer is read it every time as you ask.
But, what will be happen if my mind map is defferent from yours?
Thanks to open my eyes.
Regards
Isyaias Sawing/MyBecause.com
Thanks Rich, I will certainly go through your mindmap and see if I could benefit from learning or discovering something useful. Cheers from sunny and humid Singapore!
HI, I read your blogpost with great interest as I do with all your stuff. I went through the Kiyosaki coaching experience after reading one his book and I settled on creating an info-penurial site, which I have not done yet. I have continued to feel overwhelmed by all the “stuff” that I need to do to be successful. That doesn’t bother me, hard work is no stranger to me and I like doing it, but I don’t know which of the many systems I read to follow. I feel frozen. I do feel overloaded and bothered. I have done my business, being a psychotherapist, for more than 40 years, as a relatively successful, “S” business man. I don’t have the money to retire, and, of course, don’t think I would if I could. I sent many years helping people and was quite good at it. I want to expand how I do things, touch more people and, in truth, share a legacy of 40 years of experience in helping people do what they must. The trouble is, it’s much harder for the physician “to heal thyself.” I have had ADD before it was a diagnostic category. It was so instructive to read about it from your blog; I believe you’re right on about it. I think I am having trouble switching from an “S” thinker, and actor, to a “B.” I’m pretty good at helping others make the switch, lousy at it myself. I appreciate your efforts at helping people like me.
Wow! Great illustration of a complex reality :) good work!!
(I wonder how long it took to make that)
Rich,
One thing that I’d like to ask you is to use references. You have plenty of good ideas, but most of the time the sources are difficult to track. When you present statistics, I’d like to know where you found them. Same for books (which chapter, or page number, the idea in question is presented). Everything that is original would come with no reference.
Right now, the manifestos (as useful and influential as they are) could be perceived as even more authoritative if you cite your sources. This is common practice in the academia -I’m not saying that it’s the ideal model, but it does make ideas trackable and replicable, which works in their favor-.
In my view, a long form sales letter, with dozens of differnt fonts, non-relevant, gratuitous stock images, and a big fat “buy now” button at the bottom has the worst perceived authority of any kind of document. A peer-reviewed paper, published in a top journal by a person who has no interest in selling anything has the best perceived authority (and google weights links from academia higher!).
I’m just suggesting here that, now that you are giving your new attention doctrine the finishing touches, you could ask your team to document and cite as many ideas as possible. I think this is much more important than letting the graphic artist embellish the document before considering it ‘ready to go’.
Thanks, and keep up the good work.
That would be like asking Jay Abraham to cite his sources…
He rarely does it because he wants to come across as the original and sole source of information…
Makes him look more like a rare and important authority on a subject.
If sources are revealed it would dilute his efforts.
For instance, if Jay says “Focus on selling the benefits, not the features.” That’s another way of saying “Sell the Sizzle, Not the Steak”
That last statement is attributable to an old timer called Elmer Wheeler.
If you go out and read Elmer Wheeler you’ll find some of Jay’s source material or inspiration.
If you do enough reading you’ll be able to find out who the gurus use as their models… you just have to dig a little deeper.
You forgot a key marketing idea… put your url in the PDF!
Great ‘hypothesis’ .. can you show us some supporting data?
Or maybe you can’t, so you called it ‘Doctrine’?
http://www.FidensFelix.com
what do you use to make your mindmaps and diagrams (flows) … they are very powerful and high quality … thanks
Kevin
Hi Rich,
I just finished munching and digeting all the pages of this gold mine , and I’ve also just completed my business plans as well. Its amazing and loaded.
