I can’t believe I’m doing this…
No one else in our market has ever done it…
Starting Wednesday at noon, I’m cranking up Rich-TV… a live, interactive video stream that will last for (are you ready?) 24 HOURS!
We’ll have some special guests pop in from time to time. And others will be calling in while we’re "on the air".
Pretty much ANYTHING could happen. (gulp)
So tune in at noon, and check back often to see which direction this thing heads…
While we’re live, you can post questions and comments using the blog comment feature below. And I’ll get to as many as I can "live" on video.
I’ll be focusing on my new report, "The Uncertainty Syndrome"… and my limited coaching program that’s coming in just days.
That’s it for now. And come by often, because you never know what juicy takeaways you’ll get from our mystery guests and viewers…
… that will help you FINALLY get the results you want online.
I can’t believe your doing this! Awesome dude! Are you going to be tied into twitter as well? If so give me a shout there…
@denrosu
Well I guess you wouldn’t be doing this a couple days before a major launch without have great systems, processes and people in place. Thanks to your material over the last few weeks that is now my goal. To have systems, processes and people in place to run my business with the same kind of flare and steady intent you do Rich.
Rich,
I will be in meetings all day and won’t be online to watch the great stuff happening in the live broadcast, but I wanted to congratulate you on a unique and memorable launch event!
Not only have you given the thousands of listeners on the teleseminar great take-aways about the gurus personal “uncertainty syndromes”, but you’ve highlighted areas we all need to repair and can improve on.
Hats off, mate, you’ve really earned the title the “Guru to the Gurus”.
Can’t wait to get my hands on the new “Uncertainty Syndrome” report.
Anthony Whyms
Moving4ward Marketing
The Uncertainty Syndrome derives from the Financial situation, which appears to be in USA when it has been assessed that the Budget deficit of the USA, is altogether reaching
$11 Trillion, which includes of course the failure of AIG, and other Investments Bankers who deployed their failures with the Commercial Banks.
WE HAVE TO CHANGE PATTERNS, as informed previously last week to our friends, and thanks to Rich, WE SHALL OVERCOME.
Best regards and salutes to everybody in the chain of your commentators and Gurus.

Once again you’re taking things to a whole ‘nother level. Can’t wait to see what you’ll do with 24 hours live.
I’ve taken what you’ve taught in the Maven Marketing Manifesto and used it to start a business in an offbeat niche – selling do it yourself underground sprinkler systems – using online video as pretty much the only form of marketing (ok, we sent 500 direct mailers out in our local area, but nothing else).
53 videos and 4.5 months later we’re making money and are ready for big things. Our customers are comfortable with the fact that we know what we’re doing (because of the videos) so we’ve been very successful in removing that barrier from the buying process.
The next step is to figure out how we can take the small successes we’ve had so far and turn them into big successes. That’s why I’m so looking forward to your upcoming report. I need to identify my constraints and overcome them.
Looking forward to the report and the live 24 hour show.

Wow, great ideas from you, Rich. Not sure I’ll make the entire event (lol) but I’m sure all timezones are going to appreciate this.
Rich,
Great stuff in the new report.
But Silver Bullet #1 brings up a serious question… the “experts” are always telling me to slow down. That I need to spend more time planning my business strategies – do a lot of research and then create a detailed plan before I take any action.
What do you say about that?
Shawn
As a newbie- I wanna start out by promoting clickbank products on google.
What is the one best piece of advice you can give for those doing this?
Is there any adverts you have run on Google that have gone through the roof, if so what did you write in your Adword?
how i can earn online just i want to know it

Cool thing Rich,
I am next to do the 24 webcast. Hypnotic experiments on willing subjects.
Question- What kind of camera set up and mics for your video webcasts?
Wendi
I would like some information on your webcast please. I have a fantastic buisness opprotunity and I have a shyness problem that I really need to overcome. Of course, if my family saw that statement (shyness) they would definetly balk at that..LOL. I really need to talk to more people about this opprotunity because I could be helping hundreds by employing them as Account Executives and help the US get back to work! Seriously! Thank you for any help in this area you can give me. Camille Edwards
Hey Rich,
Awesome! my question is quite simple: before you started strategic profits, how did you start making money online?
Thank you!
Cannot download the report getting timeout.
any comment.
thanks.
I can’t access your report either??
Rich,
I was reading Joel Comm’s email this morning and it made me stop and take notice of you. Yes, I heard your name, but did I really need another guru?
Here’s what Joel wrote: “A few years ago, when Rich Schefren asked me to stand up and say a few words about his coaching system at a Big Seminar, I uttered the first thing that came to my mind: “YOU DA’ MAN!”
Because Rich IS the man–the man who helped me overcome the obstacles that were keeping me from massive success, and turn a one-man show into multi-million dollar empire.”
Well, I’ll be at Big Seminar in a couple weeks and hope that you’ll be there as one of the GURUS OF INTERNET MARKETING and Strategic Profits in Business.
In the meantime, I’ll be catching your LIVE 24 show.

Hey man,
I’ve never produced a product, have no list.
There are so many “gurus” around selling so much info.
Where do i start?
If you were starting out today, where would you begin?
thnx

love the strategic profits studios…
i will be listening all day, i’m not leaving my command center either until I am profitable….saving my questions for later, excited to chat for sure!
are you doing a standard campaign to get a consistent 200+ people on your site right now? or did you do a blast or something? affiliate ? goosebumps if that’s consistent!
Rich,
I’m noticing that many of the new software products being introduced into the IM niche are being sold on a subscription model. This has been the case regardless of the type of software; hosted (Software as a Service), desktop, install on your own server (leased).
Mike Filsaime’s latest is sold with two huge upfront payments, and then 2 payments yearly (every 6 months) for a total of $500 each year.
Another good example of leased software is Kayako’s eSupport Help Desk application. I pay $29 per month for it (like MANY others).
So, do you think this model is a good one? I have a new software script that I created that will tightly integrate with my customer’s online sales process…so it’s a software product that will actually be used day-in-day-out…and offer a solid ROI to their bottom line.
Just looking for your opinion on this recurring earnings business model for software?
Thanks,
Ed Turner
Many of the links in your new launch Do Not Work – those are the links for the 5 free bonuses.
Hey Mark -
Just right click on the link and “Save As”. We are updating the page as well to make it clearer for everyone.

Hey Rich,
I just wanted to let you know that Andy Jenkins over at Stompernet just sent out a great email agonizing over how pissed he is at you for your latest report pointing out all the mistakes we all make! It’s awesome!
By the way, thank you Rich for all the awesome info as well as the opportunity to watch you live!
do you have a sms blasting service you recommend? upload those #’s to and send ?
Great report and tips, Rich.
Thanks for shooting straight, as always.
I agree with Dr. Joel Comm.:-)
Great live TV!

Thanks for the awesome report, Rich! Having trouble downloading bonus Blueprint to Success PDF… I get an error message… just thought I’d give a heads up as I think the link is not working…

It seems that you need to change permissions in S3… I forget to do this all the time (the XML file looks the same)…

I invited 5 friends ask you asked but 1/2 of the bonus gifts
are not available. I receive a 403 error when I click the
links.
I disappointed as I was looking forward to learning more.
Hi Rich:
As I told you in a ticket I found that the Cialdini pdf transcription link in the bonus page does not work. There is not the link to the video of the Stompernet conference that you talk about in the download the report page. I hope you get a great lunch and that it’ll be a very good success for you and your business. Regards and thank you very much for the new report (I’ve not had the time yet to read it, but sure I’ll do very soon),

Rich what would be your advise when launching a product during the holiday season, a $ 24 item with $ 100 in free upsells. Would you promo our current list of 40,000 first and then go to Adwords, blog, press??
Rich, the link isn’t working to download the report if you haven’t referred anyone.

I would love to comment on your new report but having filled in my details twice and received 2 e-mails that says download the new report all I am sent too in another page with another sign up box.
I give up
Adobe reader cannot open file. The message says the file is either not a pdf or is corrupt. I’ve tried downloading it a few times, same result.
Hi Rich,
Just wanted to congratulate you on your ambition – 24 hours? What fun.
Also to let you know that your business coaching programme has taken my business from languishing (and nearly being closed by me in 2006) to one that is on target to turn over £250,000 ++ this year (yes, that’s pounds not dollars!).
I now have two amazing business partners, five wonderful coaches doing the work according to the systems I’ve developed following your guidelines. I’m not saying it’s been easy, it hasn’t but failure is NOT an option!! I had to close all my other businesses so I could focus and that has had some nasty fallout, but it will all be worth it.
Now, my website is optimised, and we are split testing and tweaking all the time. From a one-product company, we are now a multi-product company, all products in synergy and up-selling, down-selling and cross selling. I spend my days doing what I love – creating content and my business partner is growing into his strengths in an amazing way.
We have an automated membership site, an automated follow up system A/R series, an affiliate scheme, a viral list building system and I’m SO excited because I’m about to go into a HUGE joint venture weekend event with Brett McFall from World Internet Summit. Brett is also mentoring me to become a better speaker to grow my business doing something that is one of my core strengths.
One of the constraints I had identified using your system was a lack of professional copywriting and it took us a while, but we worked with Alan Forrest Smith and he did great on two sales letters! Not only that, but I just got an email from him (he’s in Oz working) introducing me to another great speaker, that is putting on an event in the UK, and because of working with AFS, and getting loads of bums on seats for Brett, I’ve been recommended as a speaker and promoter. Starting to feel that the sky’s the limit!
Really, really love the way you make th complex simple to understand, and your question “what is your BIGGEST obstacle today to growing your business” and I’ve been using that to get over pro-crastination and overwhelm ever since. Keep up the good work and thanks for everything!
Gagging for the new report so well done.
Warm regards & thank you,
Nicola.
Rich,
24 hours? – You need to re-read your notes for the 4 Hour Work Week or fire your optometrist!
In honor of Jerry Lewis you should at least get a bow tie…maybe one of your special guests will surprise you with one.
Best of luck to you on your marathon. I hope you have Big Jason coming by to help you stretch out during your marathon.
Will this be on rebroadcast at all? ( so that we could watch it if we can’t hang for 24?
Gotta check out the report.

Will you be recording this since most won’t be staying up for 24 hours to watch but would like to see it all?

Hey Chris,
I had be glad if you would keep the stuff on Youtube or ustream for people to watch once you’ve edited the stuff.
Video Marketing.. LOL :)
Have fun.
BTW, I am not able to login into SMA to see the video I wish to (I signed up for the SMA course).
Thanks.
And yeah, a 12 hour program every 3 months would be exciting to watch.

Hey Rich,
What a cool idea… love this live feed. People would be brain dead NOT to use this tool for their market and schedule regular programming.
Will you create a regular program after this 24hr deal?

Your link didn’t work for me. I got an error.
Can’t download your book, sob, sob. Pennie
Rich!
This is sooo cool and I’ve never seen anyone do it before! I would love to watch all 24 hours but that is pretty much impossible..
I was wondering if you could compile a list af all these sweet tools you are using for us to read at a later time. I have missed quite a few of them already and really want to see all the things you are using.
Thanks for this neat show :D
My take away from all the great stuff is this: Some of my customers have ordered multiple copies of my book, “The Doctor Who Cures Cancer.”
But what have I done to make it easier to buy them, perhaps by the case? Nada.
My constraint is not setting up a back end.
Thanks for the nudge.
The best to you.

As other people have reported, the download process doesn’t work – I just keep getting directed back to the page to sign-up for it. You’d think that something as simple as this would be checked before launch, or at least would have been fixed by now …..
Rich..
What page of google search are you on?
Maybe you could let us know every once in a while.
Great stuff!

This is amazing stuff. It’s like siting with you for coffee and picking your brain. Never mind any detractors.
I’m a newbie..but have 30,000 hours computer experience. I have been studying this for 2 years. I bought John’s cours TS2.0 and recently Commission Blueprint. Excellent stuff Rich, as always, right on the cutting edge.
This is the kind of thing that does get people talking, and generates that ‘buzz’, I, for one, have already sent a handful of friends over to check this out today – Unfortunately I have a 14 hour flight from Thailand to London first thing in the morning so will have to settle for your new report on the plane!!
Best wishes for your ‘marathon’ – when you speak about your own company’s business and show your own results and experiences and put yourself on the spot(live) like this and on the BGS Q&A calls – it eally does take the reader/listener to another level of comprehension… I think many people need this. It closes the ‘gap’
to speak…
take care,

Obviously you can run more than one website under a single business name but how do you manage that, is it through a series of DBA’s?
Hi Rich,
just downloaded your report and I’m really looking forward to reading it. Thanks aready for your efforts!
I’ve been following you since the release of the manifesto and learned alot from you and applying a few things of your free teachings already helped me move forward already.
Now I’m a musician and DJ and was wondering if your business growth programm would be helping me in my market?
You see, the recordings industry is def. in a change now and lots of what you tell about how times change and how the internet changes the way we do business applies here too. This is true for the small independent scene I’m in too!! DJs and producers are moving towards mp3s as a medium more and more and of course they have to cope with filesharing etc. …
I don’t think that bringing your fans to court or trying to secure your music with DRM is the solution. So it’s time do approach business differently and I’m wondering if your in-depth advise could help here too …
kind regards and thanks for the report again
Marc // Bobby Mhark
Yet again, another great masterpiece by Rich Schefren!
As a perfect example of what you point out here in “The Entreprenurial Emergency” (In regards to giving consumers too many choices, confusion, etc.) A certain national “taco joint” here in the states, has attempted to please consumers by consistently offering new menu items. While at the same time, failing to reduce, and/or eliminate, initial menu offerings. The end result is a menu offering that represents a collage of confusion, and frustrated consumers who end up ordering “the usual”. Low per average ticket sales results in even more menu offerings, while employees scramble to remember “what’s on sale this week?!”
The ultimate result for this business entity is lost revenues and declining profits for shareholders…And we all know where that leads to! It would have been better if this “taco joint” had scrapped the previous menu offering all together, and adopted, perhaps, a $0.79, $.099 and $1.29 menu offering, and…
FOCUSED on doing ONE thing (customer SERVICE) exceptionally well!
After reading Rich’s report, take a drive thru your favorite local taco joint and learn a very valuable lesson… In what NOT to do!
Thanks, again, Rich for another great report!
Rich,
You are an awesome mentor!!!

Also, thanks for the insights regarding delicious as a resource tool!

how are you controlling the camera angles – is somebody switching in real time as you move around your desk?
Hello Rich Schefren!
Do you have an idea who would like to have
my email list of 26700 emails?
I am fed up with all those very good offers
which I can,t afford to myself?
That veek I will keep them but next week
I,ll delete all of them because I,ll be maed
to read them and my computer will be demolished again.
Thank you forward for your feedback.
I’ll take your list of you- just send me an email at wrighty888@hotmail.com
We want our websites to rank high in the SERPS so we can get traffic. Google loves links and the general philosphy is that one of the best ways to get links is to trade links.
Great, that’s not hard but it totally works against the benefit of getting people to your site and keeping them there until they buy. Any thoughts on how to do link building without having outgoing links from your site so lose people’s attention after you get it.
Elky

Rich,
One of the most common issues I see is the ability to FOCUS on what’s important and not get caught up in INFO-OVERLOAD which seems more rampant than ever on the internet.
If you could recommend one strategy, tip, or technique to combat this and get our business and life under control…
what would it be?
Thanks,

Hey Rich!
Any chance you might just go ahead release the 350 page version of the report? I’d love that!
Thanks for everything!
:)
Is there a way we can get our hands on the uncut 350 page version of your report?
Rich,
Have you read Made to Stick by Chip and Dan Heath yet? If not, I highly recommend it. I read Predicably Irrational and agree that these are powerful concepts for marketers.
BTW, I still have a book of yours on Noam Chomsky. Glad to see you are doing well.
Frank
What do you do when you are a reputable company, operating for several years and some ding dong (your competitor) reports you to something like http://www.ripoffreport.com Do you recommend you dissolve it with Social Networking / Blogging methods, or would you interact with rip off report ( who doesn’t even respond to emails)
Thanks! :)
Rich,
I’m half way through the report – excellent work! I was doing a root cause analysis on call reluctance this morning that fits perfectly with what you are discussing. Just about all of this information can awaken people to look at the biggest business contraint they might have – themselves. When they get to the root cause of the belief or experiencial pattern that’s holding them back, they clear out that confusion and literally discover an incredible self. Thanks for the time to do this marathon – it’s incredibly powerful…

Great Job! What are you using to switch between camera angles?
I am single, unemployed Real Estate New Home Sales Consultant. I decided to get into this internet marketing business. I’m totally amazed and involved, I have spent 12-17 hours a day for the past 3 weeks learning about all the avenues of this business. My head is full of ideas. I have the time, I just don’t have the money to spend in getting this business going FAST. I have signed up and cancelled many programs because I really don’t understand the concept of how the program “really” works. Sorry I haven’t read your information yet but glad to be on this 24 hour web. I would love to have more input on where to start. Sorry this is long….
Hi Rich,
I have been very impressed with your web site design.
Who is your web designer. I am looking at doing a product launch.
Simular to your , Frank Kern’s and Stomper Net for the “Look” and “Feel” of the new web site.
Thank you in advance for answering my question.

The information here is awesome! Thanks Rich. Are you recording this? I’m sure you are. What are your plans with the material? Do I have information overload problems? You bet you I do. Thanks…Ryan
Internet marketing is so broad…. PPC, landing pages, etc…. Do you worry about KNOWING how to do these things or simply getting them done? At the nd of the day, how do you stay “updated”?
This broadcast is off the charts! PLEASE make a product out of this- I’d love to listen to the audio over and over again! I am a FRUIT of one of your clients success! Dani and Hans Johnson mentored with you.. and I was a fruit of their success and now am learning from you direct! So for anyone who thinks only the BIG WIGS make money with Rich.. THINK AGAIN! I was over $ 500k in DEBT , sick and depressed and wanted to die! Because of what he poured into Hans and Dani, it got to me… and now I own my own business AND am the CEO of a company, head of marketing! My advise: LISTEN, Write down what he says and choose ONE THING and do it! DO IT till you master it and then go forward.
THANKS RICH! Blessings!

I am a stay at home mom of 7 and time is very important to me
I would like to contact #10’s people who are able to see what I have to offer and make a decision and be able to afford it
Who do you find and talk with high calliber people?
Hi Rich,
it is already 10 p.m. in Germany and I cannot watch you much longer.
Is it possible to watch your 24-hour video again?
Rich,
Great info! I am learning a great deal from your conversation, stated values, and principles.
Sent a question earlier. Hope to be around to hear it. Are you going to replay this program? Hope so.
Will be watching from time to time throughout the 24 hours. Take care of you. Get lots of fluids. :-) Later…
Terry
The value delivered here is unbelievable – is this being recorded?? I have to go to the toilet but I don’t want to miss something. j/k ;)
I would love to hear some meaty strategies and tactics on project management.
Kudos from Germany, and thank you so much for your time.
Best regards,

Rich,
This is just so VALUABLE to actually see where you do your thing.
I have watched about 3 hours and HATE I have to leave for a few more as I am afraid to miss some things. ANY CHANCE this will be available for us to play kind of at our leisure? Like watch one hour at a time, to make sure we DO NOT miss anything?
Thanks,
Ted
Hey Rich, I have an IT trade website (www.quattro.ie) and we have a small email list but Im finding it really hard to drum up interest and to promote the service level we give rather than price
I’m a nb. You’ve got great insight! I get the big picture (biz vs job). However, I need cash now. Where is the best place to learn and earn right now?
Hey Rich,
Thanks for taking the time to talk on this need for balance in the Internet business. As a newbie, I get bombarded with the “guru of the day” syndrome and want to focus on what is not only needed, but what is necessary. I appreciate the focus on constraints too because the natural tendency is to look at our strengths. I’m looking forward to learning more.

Hey Rich, will the show be available later for replay, as some people like me are on the other side of the planet?
Thanks,

Could you tell me a good program to run a paid membership? from … have tryed Interlogy and it sucks
QUESTION: Rich, why is the title of your report “Operation: Uncertainty Syndrome”? (the term “uncertainty” only occurs twice in the whole report)
Jay is the best. Heard his Fran Tarkington tape in 1992. Wish I could your program with him. Is there a link to the recording?
I’m a newbie and I already know that “I have always been the one to get in my own way”. It is hard to spot (or admit?) what is wrong with my thought processes.
I think of your “contraints” as “my obstacles” (as in an obstacle courses) that I have to bust through, climb over, crawl under or leap over and thankfully I’m stubborn.
Thanks for all the superb free info and wish I could afford you. Next year hopefully you’ll coach again. What I’ve gotten from your 24 hr talk so far is – Get going! Improvise on the run.
Thanks again!
Oh my,
Rich appreciate all the useful advice that you put out there for
all of us that care to listen.
You come up with great solution plans for our businesses and the value its there day in and day out.
I recently started this business ,and so you know I am not in any high level phase ,but you know what I m enjoying every bit of it.
I have a question for you Rich
Do you think Andy an Brad have some type of hidden motives behind all the free stuff their giving away?
I think they are good guys though so far.
Rich,
You want to wait with presenting the hot business potato later after office hours but we, your European friends will be in bed that time (after 6pm EST, is midnight here).
Although you talking is very valuable and the fact that ´Perfectionisme´ is holding me back in business, my question is
Do you have a good advice to present yourself online as a serious Entrepeneur for example with video or Podcasting, if your mother tongue is not English

Hey Rich,
Thanks for taking the time man! Wow…24 hours…Way cool!
Anyway, no question at the moment, accept for this one:
Could you stop for 20 min? I really need to take a shower before I go on all night (again) hehe :-P
Sorry ’bout that…
Thanks again.
Hi Rich,
how do you suggest I can find and isolate the real constrain that is keeping me from achieving success in business, for which I’m striving for many years now.
I do conceder my self an achiever in personal life, with my wife and my children (2 Sons).
I’m born entrepreneur, who have a hard time working for some body else.
Have tried many different business opportunities and did not manage to sustain success.
Please help.
Sincerely,
Alex A.
I have a selective niche that I feel that I can make a successful as a site/service. I followed your advise from the manifesto and started outsourcing work, although I can get the site/service up and running and I have done in the past the failing has been in promotion and marketing. I have had very good sites and services created but do not have the collateral of JV. As you mentioned about Jay Abram and Stephen Pierce this was a very good example of JV that got you ‘out there’. How can I get myself really out there that bloggers, JV’s, potential investors and partners pay attention?
Will there be a replay of everything you said Rich
Is there going to be replay of what you said today?
Rich, how many times do you read a very good book (one with new information to you) and how long do you take to re read a book?
Rich,
Thanks for your time and effort with this marathon.
I hope your voice holds out ok :)
Question: Do you have a specific way/method to crank out a ton of content. Not just “absorb” it, but actually create it in a well thoughout out, and organized manner.
You had originally written 350 pages. Do you write every day? Do you do it in chunks? Do you get help with proof reading?
The sheer ammount of content you create baffles me, how do you keep up?
Thanks for any insight you can provide.
-Sean
downloaded and saved 1st report cannot reaquire site for the other four report wants another five friends, are you just collecting emails?
Hi Rich,
What are you favorite books/audiobooks relating to general business / marketing.
thanks
I love TOC (Theory of constraints) And I’ve analyzed my business and I found that my main constraint is ME!!!
Especially fear of not managing my business investing money properly. And scaling my advertising budgets and outsourcing expenditures
What can I do?
I came in to comment before I read or saw the info. I had no trouble downloading but maybe I am jumping gun.

QUESTION: Rich, why is the title of your report “Operation: Uncertainty Syndrome”? (the term “uncertainty” only occurs twice in the whole report)
Rich,
question for you, i’m uncertain about something
About the money topic, I don’t want to go Venture Capital, or Borrow Money, I’d rather give a % of the profits of the project for the start up and execution of the project. How would you approach this or your thoughts on it.
I can put together a site or product but capitalizing on it and getting it out there is where I fall down. Whats the best thing? JVs?
Rich
You mentioned the report is 350 pages.
I see 60 pages.
Am i missing something?

I see this in myself and in a lot of my Clients – Why is that I know what to do,but have the damndest time doing it?
What would be the best remedy?
See ya on the high seas very soon!

Rich,
Thank you for giving so much of your time and knowledge. This is an amazing marketing concept & I’ve been learning a lot today.
Can you respond to the poster above who says your coaching program works best for people who are already in business & making money as opposed to someone starting from scratch?
Do you mind that people may have this perception?
Thanks again for giving so freely of yourself.
Kind Regards,
Phoebe (aka bizlady08)
It is surfacing that my constraint is not knowing how to put the spin on my passion, so I don’t come away with the feeling that I’m regurgitating old information. What nags at me is not feeling I know enough about my area to add ‘new value’.
Assuming my own personality, character, and viewpoint would be my ‘unique spin’, how does one determine what comes first as a service? When you first began offering your service, what did you offer and how did you offer it? It sounds like you promoted your coaching service offline. What would you recommend be the first step to offer a service online?
Blogging about what my viewpoint is? Ebook for free or fee? Public Speaking? Teleseminars? Audio,Video,Physical Products?
Are you recording this 24-hr UStream for those who will not be able to access this live?
Thank YOU Rich for your generosity and transparency. I appreciate all of your hard work! I have learned so much from you and your writing is with such clarity.
PS How can I get a copy of the original 350-page report?
I clicked the link but got a report called “The Enterpreneurial Emergency” and not “The Uncertainty Syndrome”. Has anyone else experienced the same?
Rich, Once you’ve identified your constraints, what kinds of strategies do you use to negate them…and how do you keep them from morphing into a new constraint?
Hi Rich,
Thanks for the great “Silver Bullets” in your report!
Will we be having more of those later or these 60 pages is “pretty much it”?
Hey Rich,
Great show man, am I loving the content. Can answer me this quick question, how long did it take to write the 350 report and did you take from this report to use in the small report?
Hugh

Hey Rich… have you been in the position of requiring funding… do you have some insight into acquiring funding. I’m in a position of requiring staff and at the point of needing to and wanting to expand and grow. I’ve been doing it all and know it’s the only way I can get this thing off the ground – so in listen to you and reading the report it seems to me – my biggest constraint is lacking the resources both monetary and human. Can you speak about funding from your experience and perhaps a direction to go in.
Thanks for addressing the ‘report’ question on the live stream. This is a very cool way to go about getting information out to the general public.
Hey Rich,I am 1 quarter away from finishing college, and I work currently as a server at a restaurant. It’s hard to have an entrepreneurial mindset when I see my friends have their 60k+ jobs, and I make less than 1/2 of that.My job right now is temporary until I have enough money to fund my venture.
How can I stay focused and not get distracted by my lack of short term success?
It’s hard to know that the business may not be profitable until 1 year has passed after its officially started…
Also, the people around me aren’t exactly “entrepreneurial minded people” so it’s hard when people look down on you for trying something so “ridiculous” that “will never work”. How can I build up immunity to these people?
The new coaching program you are coming out with is different than the “Business Growth System?
Have you posted how much that will cost yet?
When I signed up for the download there was a special deal for a test drive. I left it open in my browser in case I decide to take a leap.
But I’m confused to what program that is.
Rich,
Are you planning to develop coaching programs for 3 different types of entrepreneurs: those who are just starting out, “intermediate level” and the “heavyweights”, so to speak?
Loving every minute of your show!
Thanks a lot,
Val
Hey Rich,
I think a lot of people get into marketing on the internet thinking they won’t have to work as hard, give up their job and make a lot of money. Although this may be true for some, a lot of people either fail or end up working a lot harder for less money then they did with their previous job. What would you say is the big difference between those that really run a very successful business without giving up their entire life and those that still end up working very hard and yet still just don’t the level of financial success they would like.

can you comment on how to best amplify your strengths and staff/barter/outsource around weakness. have taken kolbe, started to bring others on to balance me out but still have long way to go
Thinking bigger than a couple of grand off a credit card… or trying to build a list… what are your thoughts regarding funding… I’m not thinking small here…so really considering funding… investors… do you have any insight here… thanks Rich!

Rich,
Question…..
By the way your doing a Great Job….
I have a Question and I think you might like
to to with…
An internet company/mlm was just seized by the federal goverment
to the tune of 93 million dollars. Let’s say someone had thier
whole life savings in that program like 380,000, they cannot now
thier money out and have only 5k in the bank. They have bills of
10k per month and they are really #$%$%%’d if you know what I
mean. What kind of game plan would or could you develop or what
would you do knowing what you know now ???
Would love to hear about this from you…

Ava does look like you Rich.
Hello,
I’ve been listening for about an hour. Not really familiar with your work. I understand that you’re making a tremendous effort with this marathon. — Appreciate that.
But what I’ve heard so far seems to be a lot of “What-to’s” and not “How to’s”. What checklists, written processes can you provide? Thanks.
Yep, she looks like Tina Fey and Sara Palin…lol Well done!

I’m currently working as a JV Broker for several clients. any suggestions
for getting bigger clients – like the internet marketers?
I’d like to thank you for this effort of yours, I truly appreciate
Nan
Hey Rich,
I am working late tonight and thought I would put you on in the background – great stuff. I have been running my own direct marketing/internet marketing business for 4 years now. I have had some great successes and lots of challenges too. Either way I know for a FACT that I am not as efficient as I should be! What keeps you on track and in line with your targets? I feel I start a lot of projects but never finish them.
All the best
Mark
I want to thank you for your generosity and honesty in all your work. I really wanted to purchase the accelerated program not as a “businessin-a-box” system but something that will address 90% of the factors of the business that make a business a business.
I want to ask you, I’m currently in university with the strong passion to start my own business. Not a clickbank affiliate site, or anything like that. I want a business and I have an idea.
Sorry for the blurb but my question is, can you talk more about the accelerated program and any advice you can share.
I appreciate it!
Rich, Been building a Forum, actually 2 for about 5 years. Never had an e-mail list until just recently. How much value is an e-mail list in your business, that you of course create the appropriate bonds with.
Man I feel stupid not starting this list 3 years ago.
Hi Rich
Great show.
My question is:
With all the business hats I am wearing as a one man business, they all seem to require so much time – i feel i also am trying to apply all the new funcionalites to my web business which also take a lot of time.
Because of this i feel my business is being strangled and I have no time for sales because I cant make huge sales without a great membership site, autoresponders, landing pages optimised etc etc. This all takes huge time.
I have a great product that puts me in an unfair market advantage but still only have 600 on my list and virtually no sales!
I am sure that if someone loike you took my business you could get it making $5-10,000 per month but how do i know what to put my time to to get to that number?!?!?!
I have so many ideas but doubt about what is best to apply for the return it will give….
Hi Rich ,
My partner and I are promoting two Addiction Training Seminars one in Seattle in only 4 weeks: Oct 10-12, and one in Newport Beach Ca ( 6 weeks).It is a great training that really works so much more effectively than rehab , AA etc and we have a really well known Hypnotherapist who created this program, is presenting it, and has a great track record of helping thousands with addictions across the world .Question is how to get butts on seats .My target group are hypnotherapists ,counselors,coaches.Im sending to her list and sending flyers to therapists from Dex .How do I create buzz and momentum and sign up in a short period of time ? Thanks so much ,Jared.
When you were showing us woopra.com you started to show us another analytics site, but got distracted and I don’t think you got back to it.
Can you share what other analytics sites you recommend?
Rich thanks so much for the video-a-thone here. Can we buy you dinner through a pay pal link as a way to say thanks?
Okay so here is a questions for you. I really admire how you are flowing with your daughters there in the office. Do you always transition so smoothly or do you find yourself getting frustrated some times when they come in and disrupt your flow? If not how do you do it?
I find myself getting really frustrated some times as the delay it creates can be huge. I have tried posting office hours, locking my door and all kinds of things but the breach has caused me thousands of dollars. I’d like to get an office and need help to take the step of faith to do so. Any tricks of the trade?
I am amazed. Rich always surprises us.
Is that the Internet Marketing Reality Show…
Amazing, great
Francis
I know now I am an opportunist, rather than an entreprenuer. I am looking at doing your coaching program, but am not sure if that is just the opportunist in me. I have one niche website that is struggling for traffic and don’t know if I am just jumping at another shiny thing. Can the coaching help someone like me that is really trying to break into the IM field?
Thanks
…and my ISP is blocking this so hopefully a recording or replay will be available?
Thanks
Second question. With the shift in the economy how has the market place shifted in what it’s buying on line? Are they still buying info based products or do you see then holding on to their income and what is your strategy in changing to these market place dynamics?
QUESTION:
My question is not well formulated so please bear with me
(dont know why but im not good today at formulating my question)
You say we should “fail fast” instead of waiting to be all prepared, but you also say in this web 2.0 world, you dont control your brand and others can talk about you in a way that it can destroys you, or, more likely, do some damage.
So what if you want to launch yourself in a market,
but youre not too sure the angle to take, the approach,
your strategy etc…. and so youre cautious and scared
to “launch yourself” because you might not do it with the right angle, strategy etc, and may end up having bad publicity on you from your market or what not…..
(especially in a sensitive market where you help people)
… and even if you adjusted your strategy and approach etc and tried again later on, people in the market who recognize you could have even more negative views and conversations about you because they see that youve just changed your message, approach, strategy, in order to be successful – they could say youre trying every and any way just to make money… that all you do is aiming for the money…
youre flip flopping.
So basically, i fear either just screwing up when introducing and launching myself and the perception(and following conversations on the net) they have of me,
….and/or fear doing that, and then when i learn from this experience and modify my angle, approach and strategy, and modify those, that part of the market will view me negatively, as changing what i say and do, just so i end up hitting a chord with them and make money..
How do you see these fears with your idea that we should fail fast instead of over-preparing?
It seems contrary to me and i dont know what to make of this.
Hey Rich, Glad to see your still hanging in there and still have plenty of good stuff to share!
Stewart
I always KNEW you never sleep, Rich! Now it’s confirmed. I’ll have to download your uncertainty report now and see what that’s all about.
Hope the fam is doing well :) Good luck on your marathon stream – I’ll be popping in throughout the worknight.
Tiff ;)
Great report! Man I know I’m working on the wrong things! This has seriously given me a lot of motivation to think long and hard about what my constraints are and make some changes. Thanks.
Hi Rich,
I have a question…first ~ thanks for doing this!
I’m still reading your report as I watch your show…and was wondering if you have any suggestions for professional artists?
I have worked as much as 36hrs in 2 days before and feel like i’m capped at the amount work I can turn out (which is my main constraint). I have a TON of ideas to build passive income using my skills but can’t seem to find the time to attack anything but the work which currently pays my bills now. As you can imagine even though I work from home…my family life is suffering GREATLY.
Any tips you might have would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Okay so one more question. I was watching and taking notes and my computer crashed. You gave so many powerful tools early on this afternoon that I lost. Can you have your team put up a power page with links to all those cool tools you have shared?
Thanks for your work. Hey once again can we buy you dinner tonight to say thanks for the marathon?
Hi Rich,
Thanks for as usual lots of good and sound advice. I have been watching you on and off for the last 5 hours and learn a good piece here and there. It’s now 02:30 AM here in Sweden so I am signing of for some sleep.
By the way – children are really lovely. I loved seeing yours merrily running around your office and messing things upp.
I was just wondering if it’s possible that we’ll
ever get to see the uncut version of the report…
Haha…I’d honestly love to read all 350 pages or so!
Really though, you’re brilliant Rich…thanks a lot for everything you’ve done for me and inviting me to Orlando! I can’t tell you how much the New Beginnings Conference has done for me both personally and with my business! Good luck on the video-thon!
-Dan
Hi Rich,
I wanted to ask how you plan projects.
I’m a full time marketer and have started outsourcing but not sure how to organize everything.
I don’t have an office and ideally don’t want one.
Thanks,
Court
There’s an underground of problems in institutions. Some who have crawled out have info the country needs to hear to correct the damage. We’re not marketers. Support from you gurus could bring phenomenal change. How can we connect? You are as brilliant as gracious for this. Thank you.
Would LOVE to comment on the Report, Rich, BUT, I cannot download it.
Earlier today at the Asheville, NC airport, after I put in 5 names and e-mail addresses of friends, I was able to download a 2.2 MB report called Entrepreneurial Emergency. Tried to open it with Preview (Mac) and then Adobe, but got error messages, like Cannot Open File.
Since then, now arrived in Boston, I have been getting an endless loop on the download page. I fill out name, e-mail, phone, CLICK, right back to same page again.
I did, one time, get an Uncertainty Syndrome file, but it was only 21.3 KB, and contained no report.
HELP ME PLEASE!!
We have been double checking all the links and working fine. Go to http://www.strategicprofits.com/supportsuite and they will make sure to take care of you. We will make sure you get it.
Thanks
OKAY so what is it going to take to buy you dinner as a way of saying thank you for your help. It’s not a bribe to gain favor. It’s a ligitimate way to say thank you for giving us 24 hours of your life in helping us. Yes we can buy yur coaching but what if we just want to pitch in for your office for all the hard work? :)
P.S. how are you spelling Ruper?
Hi Rich,
The fact that you are referring to “boundaries” is really cool!
I am currently reading a book called The One-Life Solution (Reclaim your personal life while achieving greater professional success) by Dr. Henry Cloud.
He basically talks about boundaries and how we have lost our boundary between work & home because of technology.
Anyway, just want you say – you are on the pulse!
Thanks heaps.
Rich, Great JOB
Question…..
I have a Question and I think you might like
to deal with…
An internet company/mlm was just seized by the federal goverment

Hi Rich,
A big constraint of mine is how to stay focused.
I am easily distracted. I want to read the sports pages every hours or so, I want to check emails regularly. Then I want to get a coffee etc.. etc..
Any tips on how I can get and remain focused?
Thanks.
Rich! Thank you for your help! Quick question….
I am in the process of trying to launch a new brick and mortar medical service and really want to do it with a bang! Do you have any tips on the best way to roll out a new offline local service?
Its for an existing medical clinic that has been open a
year but is now expanding and launching a new mobile service.
The target audience is the medical / health care
industry. GPs, Doctors, Physiotherapists. We want
them to contact us to go into their clinics and
give them a demo and possibly have this service
in their clinic – Were a supplier for the service
and to the patient we are transparent in the
treatment process…
Should I use PR, Direct mail, Magazine Adverts, Internet or all?
Any and all input is very welcome and greatly appreciated!
All the best.
Hey Rich,
Love the idea of the 24 live!
Can I make a request – could you link to the report on the bonus page?
It’s been over 2 hours & still waiting for the email… guessing the server is having a hard time!
& I guess a discussion would be great to hear you talk more about:
How to go from one-man-band to hiring staff.
First ones, lessons learnt etc
cheers!
Mike
Can you give us the direct link to the report? I opted in an hour ago and still don’t have the link.
Thanx for putting this on. It’s been a joy listening.
Hi Rich,
So if peeps are sending gifts to your awesomely cute kids do we address the label as c/o Rich’s Kids…?
How do I get over my family & friends not caring/not believing/not understanding what I do and what I’m trying to do?
What about Multiple Personas? I have/want to develop a How-to Internet Video membership site, social media site, wordpress tutorials, hosting + registrar, a t-shirt company, etc. How do I handle this? Do I become the Go-To-Guy in multiple niches? Would that create confusion especailly since many of the niches are inter-connected?
Do you have advice on “Finding My WHY”…? And not allowing people’s negative junk affect me? The main Naysayer is weighing my down… ; P
Joel plays WOW…? I guess he’s kind’a cool, eh? ; P
Thanks Rich!

First -
This is a great idea – the combination of a streaming instructional video combined with accepting comments and questions – awesome.
My main problem/constraint is that I have a bit of OCD and I keep going over and over research, endless planning, writing, rinse/repeat, etc. because I want to make my site/business plan perfect before launch.
I know that I should concentrate on getting my site built and visible – and continue to improve it on the fly.
How do I know when my research, writing, business planning, etc. is ‘good enough’ for launch?
How do I get out of my ‘paralysis by analysis’ mindset?
Have you/do you ever run into this type of problem and what did you do to solve it?
Thanks in advance.
Dang, dude. . . Shut up so Rich can finish. . .
Hi Rich,
Unbelievable! This WOULD be the day that the power went out in my house. Just getting online.
Is there ANY way this will be a download of some sort?
Thanks

Hey Rich,
Great show,
I run a boutique international film TV-DVD marketing company based in Montreal.
I find your reports really helpful, and your writing style lucid and sparse.
Actually as I write this you are chatting with Joel Comm, whose series I am helping to sell internationally to TV.
Hi Joel…:)
Anyhow, I am positioned between the world of internet marketing and the more traditional international TV . The greatest challenge I find is the balancing act. Each film or TV series is a unique story and marketing challenge, and my goal is to create tools that I can use to create sales flow for niche products, which often come with a front end of media attention but no back end thinking whatsoever.
I really get alot out of not only the latest report, but even last years manisfesto: I could make a 1hr doc on that first report (The Manifesto) and sell that to international TV any day.
FYI I have a simple sales page that I use to the film market, that really pulls tens of thousands of dollars monthly. (my clients pay 2-10K typically for my services)
You are so generous with information, I feel inclined to share my best salespage, perhaps it can be useful in other markets, people call me and are ready to roll when they read this…it took 2 years to start to get a little flow with this, and some of the confidence comes from folks like you.
here is the page
http://www.idcommunications.org/producer_consultation.html
nothing to buy, just copy and an email link
anyhow thanks much.

Rich:
Several comments and a question.
Your success over the years has been truly linked to
having a group of folks surrounding you.. i.e. employees,
partners, virtual help, consultants, coaches (Jay A.), etc.
I think that this is also true of the myriad of other
“guru’s” currently so prolific on the internet. The fact that
success is not a one man (or woman!) show is not discussed openly,
especially in the internet marketing field.
Like your Manifesto explains so clearly… there is just too
much to do alone.
With limited resources… how can this gap be closed?
It isn’t what you know… or what you CAN do… or if
you can accomplish things on your own.. the thing is getting
the time and resources to create systems, people, “streams”
of income, etc.
How can one do everything alone?
Or… get the time, resources, and knowledge (as it changes
about as fast as we can learn it)… ?
Thanks…
Steve
I’ve been getting a bit bored by Internet Marketing and my business lately. It just seems like making tons of money isn’t as important to me lately, and I’d just rather go out and do other things.
I’m curious as you seem pretty passionate about business – have you ever gotten bored and thought about pursuing other options?
I guess I’m trying to figure out if I’m in a temporary slump, or if a true entrepreneur never gets bored?
Hi Rich: I live and grew up in lower Manhattan/East Village. What was the clothing store mentioned in your Biography? Where did you go to Yeshiva (I went to east side hebrew institute). My question: What are your thought’s on David Allen’s “Getting Things Done?” I just started GTD and find it refreshing to have a clear desk and mind, but wonder if the technique is sustainable. Have you tried it?
Hi again Rich,
I have started doing some Internet Marketing/Social Media Consulting in the “Real World”(face-to-face) and have found that to be quite exciting. These are generally older people that have non-Internet related businesses.
A lot of the stuff blows over their heads but they are excited to about the possibilities of the Internet…
Now how do you get your clients DO what you suggest? Is there a way to motivate them? Is the best way to charge higher fees? Since they have been in their businesses for a while(like “What can this young kid tell me about MY business”) some of them may not want to really listen to me…
Thanks again.
God Bless,
Yoon
I’ve learned a good bit about products online… in fact, I did something that I didn’t think I’d be able or SHOULD do….
I created a product that made me $6.97 one-time, and had (thru my own effort and other affiliates) nearly 2,500 purchases in a matter of 2.5 weeks…
however, it was met with nearly 240 emails each day for a period of 6 days…
I decided….
to make a lot more content – then SELL it for 3 times more and a residual payment – and only got 300+/- members in nearly 2.5 months… but now it’s created a LOOOT less helpdesk tickets/emails… but affords a pseudo full-time income and a TON more freedom…
not bragging at all, but wanted to let people reading this know that they can do this. even on a small scale as was with my product :).
Thanks for this. :)
p.s. ALSO, yes, love your customers… answer their questions…. DON’T shove them over to just helpdesks… offer a way for them to TALK to you… give them options to get ahold of ya. ;) i now have 1,000’s of subscribers who love getting emails from me… some complain bcz I don’t email enough :)
p.p.s. “doing one thing at a time (discussion)…” – small gains isn’t just small income… it’s small income but comes with PRODUCING “extra time” – extra time you can use to “build build build” :)
anyways… just thoughts :)
Hi Rich,
I’m at a point in my business were me and my partner have started outsourcing a lot of things, and the plan is basically to eventually outsource everything that we don’t do best ourselves (pretty much everything).
I’m impressed by guys like Eben Pagan but at the same time clueless as to how he’s able to run a business with upwards of 100 ‘virtual employees’.
It must be a full time job for at least 5 people just to ‘manage’ those 100 people, and as far as I know he has no in-house employees which means those managers are virtual as well. If that’s the way he’s running things, communicating with these managers should take up all of his time.
I guess what I’m trying to say is how the h*** do you manage a business with 80 virtual employees without having to work 24/7?
Thanks!
Hey Rich,
Nice work on the live cast… upping the ante again!
First, I want to thank you… thank you for giving me a free ticket to your SP event in Orlando in Feb… actually I “won” my way there through the blog comment contest. It rocked and I walked away from there with a completely different mindset… and a solid core of guys that I’ve still stayed in contact w/.
Since then… my online biz has almost doubled every 2 months and I’ve hired on my first part-time assistant to take over some of the crap I was doing myself before (that was my constraint then… I just didn’t realize it).
Now… I have an all new constraint… which I’m still trying to pinpoint fully. Again, I think it’s that I need to focus more on what I do best (content and marketing)… and systematize the rest. I’ll get it… give me another month ;-).
Thanks again… and great report.
I’ll see ya on the next call w/ Jay for the Maven training.
Chat soon,

Okay Rich because you said we could take your office out to dinner I have created a way for us to all say thank you.
Here is a little page that will allow us all to take your staff out for dinner or however they choose to use the money.
Also I said in the copy that you could log into my pay pal account with me to verify that all funds did go to you.
http://trivisionglobal.com/thankrichschefrenstaff.htm
Okay every one let’s say thanks to Rich and his staff for giving 24 hours of their lives to help us all. Just think if you hired Rich for one hour what it would cost you. We could at least give him and his staff a great big thank you.
In Your Service!
Roger
Thanks Roger, good to see your name

QUESTION FOR RICH:
1. What are some of the core skill sets you think are most valuable for the entrepreneur to learn if they want to implement the strategies in your reports and programs in the most efficient manner? Would you recommend becoming proficient at project management? Negotiation? Anything else?
2. What sources were the inspiration for your program on Constraints? (e.g. Eli Goldratt.) Are there any parts of business life to which you think the TOC does NOT apply?
Thanks in anticipation of your answer, and enjoying the stream …
Jason
Hi Rich,
I wanted to ask how you plan projects.
I’m a full time marketer and have started outsourcing but not sure how to organize everything.
I don’t have an office and ideally don’t want one.
Thanks,
Court

Hello Rich,
Thank you for driving through your 24 hour show. I find that it helped me to supplement my learning from reading your report.
My question has to do with positive reinforcement…
I know what to do to have what I define as success in my business using the internet as a marketing medium. Other people ask me why the heck I have not done a lot more after hearing pointers from me in how they can grow their business. I”m like you in the sense that I consume a lot of information, yet this has nothign to do with information overload.
A big part of my current environment includes a lot of negative reinforcement as I am pursuing goals outside the reality of those who contribute to the negativity.
My constraint is that I second guess what I know when it comes time to take massive action. How can I overcome this constraint? Will page 55 in your report give me a good start?
Thank you for sharing your time with us today. I appreciate you sir.
Be well, laugh often, and smile for no reason.
Sincerely,
Matthew Detrick
Hi Rich,
How are you holding up?
Here’s my question: From a marketing perspective, what is your objective for this UStream-a-thon? I mean, if your next coaching program is going to be more expensive than a lot of people can afford and is limited to 30 people, is this strictly an exercise in building your lists? (i.e., tell a friend campaign).
Thanks, Rich. I have been taking notes off and on all day. I look forward to working with you soon!

Hi Rich, I have just downloaded your report but have not finished reading it. I have read all of the other ones and I have gotten a lot from them. Just a few days ago I set up my web site. I know your thoughts about SEO and that becoming a maven is the way to go for free traffic but I see that as a long term action plan and not something that will bring me immediate results (I might be wrong) What i like to know is if there any particular resourse website or reference on SEO that you recommed that can help me get a jumpstart on my traffic flow for may website?
Thanks.
Sir Richard,
I am also originally from New York. Grew up in Brooklyn and played years of Hockey throught Long Island. Even crazier is I worked short time at Antique Boutique and lots of time at Canal Jean Company.
Anyway, I was listening to you for 3 hours earlier and had to leave. Just got back and IF YOU already addressed this, sorry. BUT here is my question- Any chance you are making the full 300 plus page Report? I read the 60 Page version and can’t get enough. Let me know if there is any way.

I’m not looking to sell anything, but to drive traffic to my site and profit on ads and affiliate programs. Is this still a viable strategy in today’s market?
Hi Rich,
I have been banned from your 24 hour Ustream chat session for some reason…could you please let me back in…my IP is 68.199.231.247
By the way my girlfriend and I frequented your Antique Boutique in the east village back in the late 80’s when we went to college at Cooper Union. It’s a small world that now I find myself following you online.
Thanks for this great work of yours…it helps a ton!
Martin
Sorry Martin. We are trying to fix. Will be back to you soon.
Hello dear master, thank you very much for everything that you are giving us for free. It´s incredible how you can manage such amount of information in 60 pages, it seems easier than actually is. I have just finished the 1st time reading of the powerful report and make me think and rethink on a lot of things. I have the Attention Age Doctrine Vol. 2 but stupidily I haven´t read it, I will in the following days without any doubt. I read the Internet Business Manifesto as well and read it some time ago but I´ll read it again as well.
Thank you very much for the amazing gifts of wisdom.
Best Regards,
Daniel Cajiga
ps I´m really commited myself to find the constraints and banish them at any cost. Thanks again master of masters.
Hi Rich, thanks so much for your help!
Background:
I have read through enough of your report today to know that I am seriously blocked by #4 = ineffective workstyle, followed by #3 = Linear thinking. I have no idea if that boils down to a belief – but those are many symptoms.
Can create money, but not monthly residual as of yet. Have made thousands, but is sporadic. Have way too many websites, and products. With people, I have good relationships in most areas with both other marketers and customers. I tend to do a lot of free favors for others that I like (too giving many times) – which takes away from my own business.
Questions:
How can I effectively pare down all of my projects, products and websites – to select the best ones (which have made the most cash for instance – or that I am most interested in) so I can concentrate on JUST those sites FIRST? What criteria might I use for “dialing in” and “focusing” my own business so that I am not so UNFOCUSED?
Should I keep all of these old sites and projects for LATER – just block them out for now? Or just sell the sites and products?
Helping others has been a big part of building great relationships – but I find it difficult to ask for any money for the “help.” I do a LOT of FREE stuff, which although helps my relationships – it hurts my bottom line. How can I turn that around?
Thanks Rich!
Michelle
PS – sorry if I missed it if you already answered similar answers – been up and down most of the day.
Is/was your spouse supportive of what you do?
Do you have any recommendations for someone dealing with an unextremely unsupportive spouse, who does not understand this “gold rush” of the 21st century, and the opportunities it represents?
Thanks, fantastic show, I hope I can stay awake.
Hi Rich,
The insights in your new book are amazing, and you are an amazing person for providing this info for free to people.
Yours with gratitude,

Rich,
Got real interested in doin a web sideline business just over a year ago. Took a 6k course, am now the OA of the website referenced above. It’s purely affiliate stuff thus far.. and I’m toying with the idea of starting a list. Yeah, yeah, I’ve heard the cry ‘THE $ I$ IN THE LI$T’ so many times at this point…
I’m reluctant to take it on – as it’s lots of work and overhead to keep it going.. fresh content, and so on. Was I completely naive to assume it could be so simple as to just find a way to position yourself between the products people buy and the people who buy them? I keep thinking its a product of traffic, which is SEO and good content, and so forth. Problem for me is that it just now beginning to pay the hosting fee with the slow trickle of Adsense .. and not kontiki cents here and there.
Am I just tinkering and will this actually go anywhere if I continue to author ariticles, pursue SEO, and all the other time-killing.
(By the way you sound fine – although that guy keeps complaining. Maybe he needs to call in on another phone.)
Rich,
You have to do this more often! I am listening to it as I work, very motivating!
Had to get cause for My Artwork , Made this Group , Good / Bad is it worth registry as Charitable , Could You LOOK , Please and ThankYou , James ….

Wow, it took me 30 min. to get the blog up again, although I could still listen… Very useful info in this phone call!
Anyway, I know what my problem is and it’s that I do too much stuff and not focusing. I also have a lot of time and so I am online a lot doing all this stuff but also enjoying myself along the way :-P (like you mentioned; “working your ass of and then wandering what you actually did”)
So my main problem is probably discipline, which I do not have a lot, never learned it (blabla), but I still know what I want. Being successful and earn at least a full-time income with affiliate marketing and building a virtual real estate empire. I’m half way there though after my first 1.5 years :-)
I also like to learn new things (a lot of catching up to do) as long as it’s about affiliate marketing and/or building virtual real estate which obviously distracts me from focusing and being as productive as I would like to be, so I guess I just have to be patient.
But what I really would like to know is: Do you think that making money with a virtual real estate empire will ever go away?
I’d say it doesn’t as long as Google and search engines keep existing, but I really would like to hear your opinion.
Thanks!
Robert
The Netherlands (4:30 AM…as usual ;-)
If you were starting in the biz today, what niche would you enter and what would you do for max effect?
Question… is it feasible to start an online business if start-up funds are near non-existent and I can’t afford the programs that are offered by you or the many jv partners that you have (i.e. filsaime, kern, makepeace, rizvi, etc)?
Rich – what do you think are the big new developments in the internet over the next few years…
RIch: you said soon we should have product reviews on our sites. What kind of site structures should our sites have? and where do membership sites fits into this?(i was looking to do a membership site, now im confused and paralyzed again…)
QUESTION:
Hey Rich,
I have a client who wants me to do a product launch for him…he has many great DATING INFO PRODUCTS but we are up against the Dating Gurus…Eben and others.
Have any ideas on a totally different twist on DATING info for him to stand out. I was thinking of taking the CONTROVERSIAL route and have his online character be the ANTI-GURU.
Do you think the CONTROVERSIAL tactic is too dangerous or possibly a great way to GET ATTENTION?
being prone to distraction, how do you know when to turn it off. digging deeper allows you to become expert, find that crucial tip or info but how do you know how deep to go before you shut it off and start producing instead of consuming ?
I have a website where I advise people on how to do something, and have about 700 readers but I only have a few products to sell.
I am spending a lot of time on the site, but only have these few products and am not making much money on it, especially in relation to the time I spend.
How would you suggest I make money on it. I have about 100 – 150 visitors a day to the site.
Hi Rich,
Once again, you’re ahead of the pack.
How influential was Jay Abraham in your successes with the clothing and hypnosis business?
Can you give us a good takeaway from what you learned from him?
Thanks
Dan Pollack
Can all these reports, videos, information and manifestos that you teach us while changing the internet world and for profit businesses also apply to non profit organizations?
You rock with all your information that you provide us with and I believe you’ve given more than any other “GURU” I know. This in itself is the best lesson anyone can learn and that is to give.
Peace and Love
Rich..I’m in a catch 22…need to hire employees for my web dev co, but can’t really afford to pay a salary for those qualified.. have plenty of devs..but need inner office staff now and support.
How can I leverage the biz to afford staffers a good salary?
Jen

I just tried to post this question and I got knocked off the blog. So if you already answered this, sorry for asking again.
Here goes:
On page 19 of the report, you say that when you founded Strategic Profits, you thought you would need a lot of front-end and back-end products with vast jv and affiliate networks and a huge financial investment to get to $150,000 in sales in months. But then you found a way to generate $3.5 million in your first week and 7.4 million in your first year with nothing more than a free report and a back-end product.
What changed? What did you do to streamline the process and how could your experience benefit our attempts to increase our sales quickly?
Hi Rich,
My greatest constraint is lack of self confidence/belief. Every time I get an idea and feel excited about it, I almost immediately start talking myself out of it.
Do you have any advice on overcoming this constraint?
Many thanks for your amazing book!
Best,
Alasdair
When setting up a new business & will have several websites under a single business name how do you set that up? Do you have to set up DBA’s?
??Rich – Great job.. You’re always pushing the envelope.. Is there ever a time when branding a business name is more important than branding the founder’s persona? The latest buzz.. is people connecting through social media.. But the personal identity brings the human aspect to an online biz.. For a new site what do you suggest.. Real Estate Industry..
What would you say you spend 90% of your time doing to grow and expand your business on a day to day basis? For you, what produces the best results?
Hi Rich
From Down Under Australia…just clicked into your video marathon…wow – amazing…
Question: would you recommend people start in a smaller niche and learn the ropes etc, before tackling the big markets like internet marketing…?
Also – who was your first mentor – or who was in your very first mastermind group?
Thanks
Cinaea
Hi Rich
I have been listening/watching your video stream for the last 40 min. What amazing things you keep doing! Thank you and may you reap enormous fruit from all of it.
Thank you also for making the important distinction between ‘having money’ and ‘having access to money’. Lately, I have been getting a sense of that truth and when I heard you talk about it, it both confirmed and clarified it for me.
Now, here’s my question for you. It will probably strike you as unusual or even flippant, but I assure you I ask sincerely as I feel your response could help me enormously…it’s just a gut feeling:
What could someone like me offer someone like you?
Thanks again Rich and if you answer my question in the next hour or so when I shall still be online, that would be great. I would not want to miss your response!
Lucy
As I’m reading this report and listening I realize that we need an “ongoing plan” to implement permanent changes to our habits.
QUESTION:
Books and videos are soon forgotten in the attention age.
“What process can we follow daily in the months ahead to make sure that we can start implementing the changes in habits you suggest?”
@DenRosu
Rich, thanks so much for answering my question. I am truly grateful for the insight and confirmation that an internet business can be built without having access to the many tools that can dramatically reduce the learning curve and time frame.
I hope that you remember my name (Tony Donahoo) because someday in the not to distant future I’ll be offering you a jv partnership.
Hey Rich,
Great show dude … anyway,
why do most people tell me that,
its easier to go from 6 figures to 7 figures
than it is to go from 0 to 6 figures.
But what about the stress levels and time issues ?
Im finding it hard to MANAGE everything in my business
and getting that balance in my life whilst
trying to grow into a 7 figure power house.
Rich over the past two years Ive grossed over $100k each year
but as im starting to expand and bring in more team
players to take the business to the next level
I feel that im just baby sitting people and
spending more time being unproductive
IS IT THAT IM NOT SEEING THE WHOLE PICTURE RICH ?
whats your words of wisdom on this?
thanks for the AWESOME show
Alex
I can’t seem to start a list. I don’t have any friends that I can start a list with and I’d like to get it going. It seems like my biggest constraint. The second biggest constraint (or maybe the first) is an inability to get my stuff going while I spend all my time on supporting clients in web design and internet marketing.
QUESTION: Is this Bad Time Management? – I dropped everything I had planned today to listen to this :)
PS I am loving the feed and I am so glad I can drop everything to listen :)
Thanks !!!
HEY RICH,
URGENT! What if all of the CONSTRAINTS on Page 20 apply to you? Uh Oh…am I screwed???
TW
Hi Rich me again,
Thanks for your answer, but I should’ve mentioned that I’m a plrpro member. So I’m not worried about good quality content ;-)
Thanks again,
Robert
Question: Can all your reports, manifestos, videos and information, although great and really more geared for profit companies whether online or offline, help non profit organizations as well?
Thanks for everything you have offered and I am reading your “newest report” as I listen and watch you on USTREAM.
I’ll definitely let you know what I think about it as I read it. Meanwhile keep it coming bro.
Peace and Love
- – - – - – LAUNCH CONSTRAINT QUESTION – - – - -
Rich, I am working on a launch for a client in the DATING INFO niche. Our biggest CONSTRAINT is marketing against the DATING GURUS – Eben and others. We are thinking of creating BUZZ by playing the CONTROVERSIAL ANTI-GURU stance. My client has great content so we are confident in the material just need to differentiate him from the DATING GURUS…does the CONTROVERSY strategy sound right?
Smart? Risky? or Bad Idea?
Will read your report tomorrow morning.
Thanks for everything!
Wow Thanks for all the support Rich, I’ve been watching you on Ustream for about 8 hours and reading The Uncertainty Syndrome in between breaks and I’ve learned so much about myself, making mistake, knowing my market and prospects, taking action, the importance of measuring, constraints and more.
Ricardo
Ok my curiosity is up – what can of worms with the ‘clouds’?
Hi Rich,
I found myself thinking of Demmings fishbone Pareato chart for system process and all the elements of the process.
Boy, your report makes me sad that I threw away all those notes and documents from Demming (over 80 hours worth of sitting and listening).
The coaching is in the right position for those who are serious and in motion (knowing you can’t steer a parked car).
I have to go back and read again, very encouraging toward action items, you give quality insight for where to start looking at ourselves.
I keep posting this, but never see it show up on the blog. So I’m not sure if it got through. If it did, I apologize for the repost.
Here’s a question about something in your report:
On page 19 of the report, you say that when you founded Strategic Profits, you thought you would need a lot of front-end and back-end products with vast jv and affiliate networks and a huge financial investment to get to $150,000 in sales in months. But then you found a way to generate $3.5 million in your first week and 7.4 million in your first year with nothing more than a free report and a back-end product.
What changed? What did you do to streamline the process and how could your experience benefit our attempts to increase our sales quickly?
Your report says to view your business as a system,
How can you view your business as a system when
there are so many business models and the most effective business models are different over times?(you said soon sites will need to have product reviews, but theres also a lot of talk of the profitability of membership sites, and then theres those opting for the blog model as main platform to get leads and redirect traffic to your sales pages etc…
So How can you view your business as a system when
you cant really define what this system should be like, and this is the constraint?
Rich, I love the idea, however you are using a product that is inferior in the marketplace as the stream is not consistent and you keep binding up and the mouth and lips are not in sequence all the time. There are superior products in the market that project a better image for you as you are well respected in then industry and when you use inferior products (like this)it knocks you down a few notches and really hurts your credibility. I can’t stand the poor quuality and hence I can’t continue to watch and I am only 2 minutes in.
Hey Rich,
Taylor here. I love this broadcast!
First, you mentioned earlier how you like it when people do what you suggest. So I wanted to let you know that I’ve had success with the free CD approach you suggested on our Toronto Mastermind call. And even though it’s more for experimental purposes, I now want to try the decoy suggestion you mentioned earlier today.
Now, talk about timely information and striking a chord… just when I start thinking about my constraints, bingo, Rich comes out with a report to call this to my attention!
I have 3 questions if you can make the time. And you are welcome to answer any other question you think might be related.
Question 1:
Here’s what I feel is a constraint for me: I’ve been creating hundreds of pages of content with the intention of having curriculum for seminars, workshops, and retreats. I love creating the content. I imagine that my lack a system or strategy for taking this growing content and turning it into products or packaging it for consumption is a constraint. It makes me think of Janet Switzer and Jay.
In a way, the story you mentioned about ignoring advice to cure your ADD and instead coming up with systems and strategies to capitalize on it further jogged my memory that I shouldn’t necessarily stop to try to organize this content myself. What do you suggest?
Question 2:
Reality check: is having content to deliver a constraint for doing seminars and workshops?
Question 3:
How would you approach local businesses about displaying marketing materials that may appeal to their patrons?
Thanks!
Taylor
PS – What’s the chance we can get you on another Toronto group mastermind call before the end of this year?
FROM THE REPORT – The Time Miracle #2 – “Experience the magic power of ruthless goal completion” might very well prove to be the single most important lesson that I’ll take from the report. Very cool insight.
REPORT TYPO – just an FYI… on the last page (59) you mentioned the soon to be released program Guided Profit System a few times. The next to the last paragraph refers to it as the Global Profit System.
You’ve mentioned several times today how important it is to know who your customers are. Here’s my question:
How have you systematized doing your demographics research? Is your research a continual process? How do you track and store it? (OK, so that was more than 1 question)
Thanks!
Phoebe (aka bizlady08)
Awesome report just now i wake and saw your mail {Message from rich} i felt bad bcoz i missed few hours of Rich’s Live24 Video…
The report amazing i enjoyed when i studied that ..quite interesting
Thanks a lot Rich for such brilliant reports

Single handed, how many websites can one person handle effectively? I realize this depends on the person.
Hi Rich,
In your “Business Acceleration Program” you talk about
Keeping a journal for work it keeps you conscious of what is going on
Still not sure how to use a journal effectively like you?
Thank
James
Hey Rich,
It’s hard to come up with a question on your report. A lot of information and you’ve really gone into depth on each topic.
I’ve wondered for a long time how influential Jay Abraham was in your developing the success with the clothing and hypnosis businesses.
What takeaways can you share with us about those experiences as far as the constraints you overcame?
Question about the report … how do i know if what i think is the constraint is the real constraint? What if i end up addressing the wrong issue?
QUESTION – Do you believe that the scarcity aspect of launches is a sound way to conduct business? Looking at Kern’s last launch, it sold out in minutes. Can you explain the concept of not taking advantage of every potential sale?
Rich -
How are you, buddy?
Great report……just wanted to take a moment to point out 2 items:
1) The most important and impactful theme of your manuscript that personally hit home………
2) A little, hidden “step” of your manuscript release system that is genius.
So first…..here’s the quote that means everything.
“Busy, busy, busy…..Bankrupt….DEAD!” (top of Page 8)
How true this statement is for each and every one of us. It’s far too easy to forget about the mortal nature of life and the importance of spending time doing WHAT we love with WHO we love.
For the hidden “step”……..did anyone notice how you eliminated the standard, double-verification link within your confirmation e-mail!!?!? What a small but important nugget for anyone who is benchmarking competitive systems…..in this case – YOUR launch/release process.
In case someone missed it – re-read Rich’s confirmation e-mail and pay attention to the link that you click to access the report. How does it work? HINT: Use your “confirmation page” within your e-mail autoresponder system as the actual download page (or a link to the download page).
To Simple Focused Action,
Brad
P.S. The solution IS a SYSTEM……..

If you are starting a company and want to be a leader in your niche would you have your blog on your company site or as a personal blog under your name? or both?

OK, I just got my latte and decided to stay up late so I can review my business work since getting introduced to eMyth and soon after internet marketing…
I am really glad you are doing this 24 hr marathon because I do trust what you have been offering and have really benefited from your reports and courses. BUT I am still struggling –my two major constraints are basic–cash flow and finding a COO…and since I am just skimming each month barely covering expenses and so have not been able to focus on the COO constraint.
I started with Emyth in 2005,
than did Brad Antin’s How To Think Like A Marketer in Las Vegas in June, 2006,
Janet Switzer’s How Experts Build Empires in August, 2006,
Your Business Growth System in Sept. 2006,
National Publicity Summit in Oct. 2007,
SMARTS Social Networking with Don Fowler in Jan. 2008,
PLF with Jeff Walker in March, 2008,
and then most recently your Maven Course with Jay Abraham…
Each course has definitely made a difference in my business but after three years I am nowhere where I want to be…
So going over your latest report here is what I focused on…
1. Your recommendation to pay attention to Metrics is especially important…But I wonder how to balance the marketing and sales with implementing more research efforts…When do you know your research is enough and your time is better spent launching a new product and selling?
2. Your suggestion to make a systems approach has alleviated many problems in my business–especially with delegating and not revisiting the same problems over and over.
3. The personal network is why I am writing this comment…I really am seeking a personal business coach who is available one on one. I think the courses are great but I want suggestions for guiding me through my planning and avoiding failures…or learning from them faster from someone who knows me and my work.
4. The other idea I noted in your report was about studying your competitors’ sales process, using metrics to monitor your customers’ buying process, and brainstorming the ways to eliminate the constraint…all good stuff!!
5. Here I am going to explore your major suggestion in your report: take my goal and find all the reasons why I haven’t achieved it, identify the obstacles and then create a plan to overcome these obstacles in the shortest amount of time.
My visions are to make Homeopathy a Household word and train homeopaths to be their very best…
My goal is to create courses for homeopaths so they can improve their success with clients and in their business. I also want to publicize homeopathy so people want to see homeopaths and become homeopaths or advocates of homeopathy.
The reasons I haven’t achieved it is my limitations in getting enough students to cover expenses and promoting homeopathy has been limited to my emails, the radio show http://www.homeopathyradio.com, website, articles, talks, etc.
My plan is to take one constraint at a time and overcome that so I have been working on getting students in my courses…
It’s fun to hear Jeff Walker is on now…His course really helped me get my launches working better and better…
Your comments will be most appreciated!
It’s been cathartic to review briefly my journey in establishing a business and getting out there on the internet…

Typed a “manuscript” length comment a few minutes ago only to lose it during submission…….but here’s the cliff note version.
1) The most impactful statement of your manuscript (located on top of page 8)
“Busy…Busy…Busy…Bankrupt…DEAD!”
How true this is for any human-being chasing the dream of entrepreneurship. Those that come out of it will do so via a common theme = SYSTEMS. It can’t be stressed enough the importance of doing WHAT you love with WHO you love.
2) Hidden nugget from benchmarking your manuscript release process
Did anyone notice how you and your team cleverly eliminated the standard “double verification link” by baking it into a link to download the manuscript? (HINT: If not, go back and re-read Rich’s message with subject line: “The Uncertainty Syndrome Access”. Pay attention to the first link. Beautifully done…..

I have a question regarding being bilingual. There is a huge potential in the Spanish market. The thing is… There is a lot of people in other countries that do not even have a Credit Card…and are very scared to even purchase anything on the web. So… the thing is.. I run a bilingual coaching membership website with a partner… but I want to like to start doing my own thing and brand myself…. I am debating if I should just go with the Spanish or do both languages.
Thank you in advance… and great job on the 24 hour RUN!
Hey Rich,
Fantastic fantastic report. I think with this report I came to truly understand your preeminence. You really do understand the constraints that face Internet entrepreneurs at every level and more importantly, give us results, so cheers.
My question is: I am entering a brand new niche where I am a nobody. I am cash strapped, and no previous commercial success.
My question is do you have any books or resources that you can recommend that can teach us this process of A-list networking step by step?
The details of how to approach people when we visit them on the site, the midsets we should adpot, what we should offer when we have no money to offer?
Your business manifesto and the newest report cover a few aspects of this, but I was curious if you could recommend any resources that put all this together in context.
Thanks Rich
Rich,
I want to have a online business in these areas:
- membership site
- Lead generation for offline/online businesses
- Nutrition Supplement business
I don’t have ideas, execution strategy etc to go any further than this.
would you course help me on this, to cultivate an idea, execute, implement & build/sustain real business?
Thanks…
Manny
Hey Rich,
This is Peter Kolat. We’ve met in Orlando on your Maven Intensive Coaching with Jay. I was the Polish guy in there.
Here’s my question. From studying you in the Maven coaching program, I pretty much see how you come to the idea for your report. How do you go about writing it? Do you mind map first and then export that into your report? Do you write it in chunks and then put it together? Do you create an audio and then transcribe it?
What about images? How do you work with them? I feel like they are very big part for your reports, you get better engagement, understanding, etc.
Can you give us some info on your actual writing process, resources, tips etc.
Thanks man,
Polish Peter
It seems like a lot of successful Internet gurus have multiple websites and multiple web businesses. How many web businesses/sites do each of you currently own (and operate)?
Do you think having multiple websites/businesses is a good idea for success online?
Hey Rich,
I have been doing internet marketing about a year now and I have had some mild success making about $500.00 every month. I feel that I am real close to breaking out and really getting this, you know going over the top and making the big bucks-$$$.
Is this something that just takes time, how long should I expect or have I just not got the right information yet?
Thanks,
Mike

Do you see this kind of video as being a new wave in marketing…I don’t mean a 24 hour marathon, but an extended live video around launch time?

RICH: Your report says to view your business as a system,but,
How can you view your business as a system when
there are so many business models and the most effective business models are different over times?(you said soon enough, sites will need to have product reviews, but theres also a lot of talk of the profitability of membership sites, and then theres those opting for the blog model as main platform to get leads and redirect traffic to your sales pages etc…
So How can you view your business as a system when
you cant really define what this system should be like, and this is the constraint?
Can you talk about the technology behind the site launch? I know you had a lot of people because it took me 4 attempts to get on. I also told 3 friends and never saw the extra reports for telling friends. So what was needed technology wise today?
The information that you’ll be presenting in this next Coaching course — is this new or did you already cover most of it in BGS?
While I’d love the more individualized coaching, especially since your BGS program would complement a business I’m starting, I have severe time constraints right now.
Is it too soon to ask how your coaching will be different from or complement what we’ve already learned in BGS?
Thanks for a great report.
Hi Rich,
Great stuff!
Thanks for having Jeff Walker on. I looked for where to purchase Product Launch Formula 2: http://www.productlaunchformula.com, but it doesn’t seem to be for sale.
Do you know if/where we can buy it?
Thanks,
Jeff Price
P.S. I’ll be signing off soon. If possible can you have someone email me the answer or post the answer here?
What’s the best way to get Youtube traffic to opt in to your list?
Great report. Question: On page 26 you say “your goal is not to maximize your conversion rate, your goal is to maximize conversions – actual sales” Can you clarify this for me. Would you not want to maximize profit per visitor. For example a higher price point may reduce sales and conversions but could increase profit per visitor.
Thanks Rich I have gained alot from your products
Hi Rich,
Awesome show, this live video is amazing, great report,
So I’m into creating great content through live video using youtube videos, could you comment on this and what could be the possible constrains concerning turning traffic (viewers) to buyers and creating relevant content for my list
Rich – I’ve been dropping in on your web stream all day AND reading your report. They are both amazing.
You sure do know your market … I’m a classic example of a very stalled beginner stuck on information overload, with a couple of blogs & websites in early stages of construction.
My question for you: I have a lot more time than money right now, as I recover from a life-changing illness. And I’ll be implementing your amazing report starting tomorrow morning. But now that I know HOW to work on my business, how should I choose WHAT sort of online site/product would work best for a time-rich but resource-limited person? Blogs? Classifieds? Ebooks?
Thanks, Rich … you are a true inspiration! (and your children are adorable)

First of all Rich, thanks for your dedication.
Truly inspiring!
Been hanging in for about 9hrs and I gotta shut it down soon but I’ll try and wait for your response.
Here’s my question..
COULD YOU SPEAK TO BUYING AN EXISTING ONLINE BIZ. WHAT RED FLAGS SHOULD WE BE LOOKING FOR AS IT RELATES TO IDENTIFYING CONSTRAINTS AND HOW DO WE DETERMINE IF IT’S WORTH TAKING ON? WHAT GUIDLINES WOULD YOU USE?
I’d appreciate your input.

What is the best way to start an online business?
What is the least expensive way to start an online business?
I am just watching with awe every new product launch and the launch techniques have so much evolved over the last few months. It’s just getting much better and much more interactive. You are definitely setting a new standard.
Go for it !!!
Hey, thanks for all you are doing. I don’t even have a business online yet, but I’ve learned so much! I’ll read faster, hear faster and probably talk faster…”not bad for a old soul.” You’re an inspiration! If I can rise above the noise and help people better understand their personal constraints (which I can) I’ll let you know!
Thanks again Rich,

the other one is a business with my sister Elena who went to one of your trainings in Florida http://www.soulgifts.us
Thanks for all the great info and advice!

To me, there’s kind of a paradox in your hiring strategy. While I agree that it’s best to figure out who’s the cream of the crop BEFORE you need to hire them, when you’re starting a business that can be hard to do.
Unless you know ahead of time what business you’ll be in and begin to create those networks before you create the business, you’re stuck with a choice between hiring in the usual way or waiting until you create a network of the best people and then hiring them later.
Either way, you face a constraint at the beginning of your business. You either take a chance that you’ll hire subpar people through a conventional hiring process and have that constraint if your new employee(s) don’t work out. Or you’ll wait to find the cream of the crop and you’ll have the opportunity cost (and constraint) of time lost building your new business while you wait to find the right person.
So at the beginning of your business, which constraint do you recommend? Potentially fail fast with the wrong person or hamstring your efficiency by waiting to build the right network?
Or is there a third course I’m not thinking about? (And please don’t tell me I should already have my networks in place. If you don’t know you’re going to start a business, you won’t be thinking that way.)
If you are starting a company and want to be a leader in your niche would you have your blog on your company site or as a personal blog under your name? or both?
James
This is awesome. Thank you for doing this.
What is the best, most affordable(or free) software/websites for developing the following applications?

2) Shopping Cart
3) membership site/community.
Also, how do you generate an anutoresponder that will generate username/password, and do captcha automatically for a membership site? Thank you.

Hey Rich! Great job on the 13+ hours you’ve done so far! More than halfway to the Finish Line! :-)
We’ve been having a conversation on Twitter about the lack of prominent females in Internet Marketing after seeing the number of women offering a bonus in recent Stompernet promotion. (Zero!)
Any thoughts about why there are so few? Do women have more (perceived) constraints than men? Are men “wired” better for marketing online?
Could it be possible that the females who are doing well don’t want to be in the spotlight? Or are the men just being territorial, and not interested in moving aside to share the stage?
Seriously, there have been conversations about this for years, but even though there are now more women in the IM space who are creating products & offering services, it appears there are so few, if any, being let into “The Boys Club.” (I write this with the greatest of affection for the boys.) ;-)
Having said all that, I do acknowledge Ken McArthur, who recently had four powerful female presenters on stage at his Impact Boot Camp. He LOVES the ladies.
Now I am not implying that there is any sexism going on… but I will ask you if you think there might be. :-)
Thanks for not holding back on any of the info you’ve given so far. Great content!

Hi Rich,
I would like to know what you think is the real truth..
I’ve realized that success in business has nothing to do with technical…people are so afraid to try anything and they usually persuade themselves out of trying things out and experience the results themselves….
The sickening thing is , people want you to persuade them that it can be done before they will do it….
So do you think success in business or any business is more of a mind game than the technical side of it…
Hi Rich,
Enjoyed your report. Quick question …
Do you distinguish between constraints that affect a business and constraints that affect a business owner?
Or are the two areas too heavily intertwined?
Thanks
Jay
Hi Rich Just finished your report
realized I Have many of the constraints you talk about
I have 7 children I am working 3 businesses and helping a large project get funding of 5 M then a second loan at 25 M
So as you see I am all over the place and having a hard time focosing in on one. I have found a new passion with detoxifying our bodies and reducing the amount of toxins we come in contact with especially for children. I am working with 2 companies that this is their focus and I will use their products for life. I workout daily as well.
Any suggestions on how to focus on one thing at a time I am under capitalized and finding a partner that could help build a web presence would be fabulous then I could combine the two companies products and find more that would be recommended as safe green and toxic free.
thanks
Debbi
You need some XCess – great enegy builder. Good to see you in action. I read everything you send with interest. Regds Ian
I know this report is about constraints so one of those constraints that can be created is when we get so focused on the now and all the tools and information to get ahead for “right now” that we neglect to see the cliff that is coming.
So what are some strategies you use to keep your eye on the technology changes for the future and how do you get them implement into your business quickly as well as plan for the changes?
Secondly do you feel the death of the internet is real and that it is going to change to a package module like Direct TV where you can pay for access to certain sites and anything outside of that people will have to pay for it as shared over at iPower predicts the death of the Internet . This would be a constraint that can be beyond most of us. How do we position ourselves to overcome this kind of constraint that we may not have control over?
Thanks again for all the hard work.
Roger

Would your new coaching program work for a business like ours?
I read your report and I enjoyed it very much. Opened my eyes to constraints we have ongoing in our business.
I know I can immediately put some of your Silver Bullets to use now but it seems like you speak about using formulas like the Product Launch Formula.
We sell file folders and labels etc. How can I use methods like that to help propel my business? Do I even want to?
Any insight to a site like mine would be great.
Thanks!
Carl
Hi rich, wow is amazing to watch you live,
Can we get a hold of the tools you use to track what the visitors do on your site or what strategies you use to analize data from your site,
Can you talk a bit more about how to get to know your market, how to get out of my head and get some real insight into the market I will love to get into,
How do you think you can provide great value, by addressing the problems your market is having? how can you find the critical problems not only to you but to a great audience,
thanks again this is really of amazing value
Hi Rich:
Once again you’ve knocked it out of the park with this report. I really liked your earlier comment about perfectionism and how it has sometimes been a constraint with you, especially leading up to your first live events and the efforts you put in, and how you learned that Red Bull only takes you so far!
BTW – You are looking a lot healthier than when we last saw you. I have to imagine that you are taking some time off, just like you talk about in the report.
Having been a coaching client since you first launched BGS, what we really admired was your ability to overcome that. For example a few of the original BGS clients got pissed off when things weren’t perfect.
What they missed was that you told us right from the hop that we’d watch you go from zero to 7 million in one year, that it wouldn’t be pretty, BUT if we stuck around we’d see how it was done, and learn valuable lessons we could apply in our businesses.
And if you were insightful and asked the right questions on the calls, you got that and so much more – a model to scale up quickly, based on getting the income in quickly – the # 1 job…progress exceeds perfection.
The most essential things we learned were:
1. Do your research – be thorough – improve don’t reinvent: Become the leader in the marketspace through your conversations with it. Become the best friend of the marketspace. Be flexible and adjust upon your research as you go.
2, Just take MASSIVE ACTION. Hell, 27 conferences was quite the research expedition and we got to meet every “guru” we wanted to meet; interview them for product and bonus materials. We walked away with over 50 hours of video, 70 hours of audio. All of it “timeless”, because we asked biographical questions mostly.
2. Fund it before you build it – That should be a report / product for 2009 ;-) We took that philosophy to heart and had our podcast for divorced dads fund our travels to over 100K in additional revenue in 2007. Which helped us research how we would position our eventual podcasting course.
2. How little you actually need to get going to deliver content and make HUGE money…We think what was really brilliant was how you used a phb forum for the original BGS group!
YOUR NEWEST REPORT….
In your report you talk about how Frank Kern got stuck when it came down to membership software (should have taken your BGS course and seen your membership site – LOL), but then realized he could do it with fulfillment. works for Yanik, why couldn’t it work for Kern…
This is the thing we also learned – focus on your strength, eliminate the constraint. Good is the enemy of great.
For example, when we came off the road in April of this year after 27 conferences – we immediately had our first speaking date lined up to sell a course we had not created yet to make podcasting a no-brainer.
Like you we locked ourselves in our hotel room right to the last second pumping out an amazing set of graphic rich slides for our first beta offering for TelePodcast Secrets.
16 weeks later we had over 500 pages of graphic rich content from Action Guides, about 50 hours of audio content from the teleseminars, 50 hours of transcripts to repurpose for A/R content, (well for us it’s InfusionSoft which we just picked up 3 weeks ago), articles, Clickbank lead generators, special reports, PowerPoints for video, audio for podcasts, social networking sites etc etc etc.
Plus we got well paid for it…that was amazing, because so many of us actually build it and then find no one wants it. Plus we learned so much from surveying the students to tweak it for the next beta launch before we release it in 2009.
We also picked up two great interns from the course which have helped us leverage on two other projects – we have found a fantastic writer / editor. As a result our first manuscript for a book will be ready in 3 weeks for Divorced Dads. We do weekly calls at:
http://www.DivorcedDadWeekly.com
12 of these calls will form a 300 page book with workbook.
Our second intern is doing process / mind maps / Power Points and Camtasias as we integrate systems together for our online infrastructure, and a rapid content creation / repurposing / affiliate system.
Watching how you approached your business, and absorbing these ideas have made a HUGE difference.
The question we have for you tonight is this:
1. Looking back, do you think that perfectionism while it can lead to greatness, can in some circumstances be the enemy of great?
2. Can you elaborate on what you’ve learned about the pros and cons of taking a perfectionist approach since your first BGS launch, and what you would have done different at this point in hindsight to optimize your perfectionsim? (LOL)
3. Can you tie the above into your report? What parts of your report did you find as you were writing it helped you to better identify, understand and resolve your current constraints?
4. Finally you should explain how you’ll be using this streaming video to set yourself up for your next shot in this product launch and subsequent ones; repurposing it etc.
That last one will likely be invaluable to the newer people.
Lastly – without giving anything away, do you have your launch calender for 2009 worked out yet, and do you have some dates, so we can pencil them in our calender?
Awesome, awesome effort once again Rich – Great to see you once again “knocking it out of the ballpark” by defining a huge problem and the possible solutions for the business community.
Best to you Debi and the kids…
Danny / Heidi

for someone who has no business and really wants to get started with an onlineline business, what advise or direction can you give me as a new guy?
Regarding a product funnel -
is it possible to sell people into a $9997 coaching program without any products at price points close to that? I start with a $37 ebook, then a $297 course THEN the coaching. is it going to be too big of a leap?
Thanks,

I have a 1695 product how to start a successful business from writing the business plan to funding to franchising and everything in between then a 3500 product teaching a home study education on investing in real estate then a 16000 tuition to an entreprenurial college that focusses on investing in real estate, tax and legal strategies and never paying capital gains by investing with self directed roth IRA’s and 401 k’s we sell it face to face mostly I have been wanting a way to market it on the internet Is this something that can be marketed on the internet effectively?
Rich how would you suggest taking three business 2 that deals with health and 0ne that deals with investing and business and trying to put them togther so they become one? is this a possibility or would they need to stay seperated?
Hi Rich,
I just finished reading the book “Click Here To Order” by Joel Comm
In your opinion, do you think that it is easier today to make money online with all the tools available or do you think it is getting harder because so many people are jumping online trying to make money?
I get mixed messages from other “gurus” some say it is easier than ever because of all the tools available that were not available before and some say that it is just going to get harder and harder.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks Rich!
Ok, Rich. I just finished the report (well done).
1. I found my constraint (actually 2).
2. However, as I read through the report I got angry. here is why…
I know what my prospects need is I know the exact moment that they discover that need, I have a product that solves the need, everything is in place, website is up autoresponder ready, initial free report and loss leader product ready, backend product ready, etc etc etc. It is all done.
Here is my problem… I can’t figure out how to find my prospect. they do not search for their problem on the internet. there is no “keyword” for the problem.
Help!
Rich,
Question…. How would you address the constraint of measuring a market that fits your strength and successfully entering it?

RICH …
Enjoyed your report. Quick question …

Hey Rich!
Sweet report! Learned of you through Filsaime and signed up for your coaching program last Friday (didn’t wait for the Stomper bonus… taking fast action!). Also read about you in “Ready, Fire, Aim” – great social proof! :-)
I have a very clear vision for my business- $10M/mo in sales, humming online sales, and infomercial creating 20K continuity clients/mo to a total of 100K at $30/mo.
My challenge is staff training; I create process maps and procedures, and then when things aren’t followed I emotionally want to give up frustrated.
I read in Kennedy’s “Ruthless Management” book that ‘they all go lame eventually’ and I feel I’m a lame boss. What are your ideas on dealing with this?
Thx and look forward to the coaching call Friday. Take care, sir.
David Newby
Rich a better report. Not as emotionally driven which appeals to a more intelectual prospect that can see there is real content here instead of fluff so congrats!
A major constraint for me is that I love to help people and want to help everyone but know that I can not. We have to target and audience but it has been so hard emotionally because of this desire to help so many people.
Did you have to deal with this? If so what did you do to overcome this and really get yourself targeted to the audience that really alligned with who you are instead of where the money is?
Dear Rich,
Brilliant launch by the way, you added the REAL-TIME essence and turned this into an event.
I have always admired the work that you have done in your free reports.
My question is, where did you get all these insights that are not just intellectually stimulating, but has real-life value to it.
Also, how do you synthesize all of these things into a easy to digest framework, do you work with a team to do that or is it all a personal study?
Thanks and be well,
- Tian Yan from Malaysia.
Hey Rich
3 QUESTIONS….
Your comment about Agora’s $50 product purchase annual value has got me thinking…
QUESTION 1
I am adding a new product on ClickBank next month. Now we all know that ClickBank has their own affiliates within the system itself, but I want to know what you think would be the best way to launch on a Clickbank product outside of CB.
QUESTION 2
For the upsell back end what cost ratio would be realistic if the CB cost is $99?
QUESTION 3
Our back end will be $5K, is a $99 entry product too large a cost leap to a $5K Coaching Program…
One advantage for the Coaching Program is its an alumni model. You pay once and get the access to the ongoing content for life.
Thanks for a great job….BTW – you look thinner!
Rich,
To clarify, what are some of your personal metrics that overcome the constraint of measuring a market that fits your strength and successfully enter it?
Thanks
Terry

Hey Rich S,
amazing marathon here – Enjoyed the mega relevant hot Uncertainty report – expecially getting clear on just-in-time hiring versus just-in-case.
Could I ask the most exciting upgrade of your business model has been from connecting with Agora and identifying constraints they eliminated?
Looking forward to seeing Mary Ellen Tribby.
Thanks for your time.
Rich,
If someone has a very high quality product but has not been able to make many personal contacts in the business and is not well known, what would you suggest they do to attract high level affiliates and power affiliates?
Hi Rich,
earlier one of your suggestions to someone who asked you how you start an online business you said, if I understood correctly, to start with a blog and start posting to other blogs even before you are ready to launch.
Being a perfectionist myself too I have a hard time understanding how you can start talking about a business when the business is not yet “real”, meaning it is not functioning yet, if you don’t yet know if your business model will work how do you describe it to the “blog” visitors… or maybe I missunderstood how the blog is supposed to support the launch of your new business. Would you mind elaborating a bit how the blog and blog posting is supposed to help setting the ground for a business website that is not live yet?
Thanks
Marco
RIch what do you think about a product aimed at disabled people on social security. teach them how to do affiliate marketing and product creation etc. Its a market that I understand intimately as I am one
or teaching faith based organizations how to use social media better?

PS Great job BTW!
Hi Rich.
This is all amazing. Thanks!
Question:
What is a reasonable conversion rate from an Opt-in List to Buy?
I know it varies from market to market and how much your subscribers ‘trust you’ but could you give me a reference?
1% 0,1% 10%? 90%?
We are talking about a first time launch, with already 1600 subscribers.
THANKS!!!
You mentioned the proclivity to socially acclimate in subcultures. When you analyze history, those who DIDN’T had unique messages–and generally weren’t well-received. It’s as if those of you in IM have lived parallel lives to those of us who’ve worked in institutions and sought change. On a single basis, we’ve generally been annihilated. Change could happen if we had a presence online, but some of us aren’t marketers. Our message is as great as an IM and would address huge issues. Do any of you hugely successful marketers have any angst to connect with us?
Hey Rich,
great show, I’m sure this is breaking some big records. How do you plan on getting Strategic Profits, the business, to eclipse you as the “go to” source for IM/Entreprenuerial guidance, instead of Rich Schefren, the person?
Also, what steps do you take to investigate/evaluate a market you’re interested in entering, to determine if there is profit potential and something you can build a business around? Keywords search?…and what else?
Thanks, Dave
Hi Rich,
Can you share a bit about Exit Strategies? What should I be planning for when selling a business or maybe even getting it ready for an IPO scenario? Are there specifics aspects of building a business that one would do differently if there was or wasn’t an Exit Strategy in mind? Or would you build it the same way…?
You referenced how you want to build up the Strategic Profits brand beyond your Rich Schefren name…
…what is your Exit Strategy(if you can share this info)?
Thanks again.
I’ve worked hard to become a “maven” in a very specific niche. I know many of the people in my niche may also be interested in internet marketing and I want to try a cross promotion, but I’m scared to promote products outside of my niche.
What is your advice about this? For example, you have a list of real estate investors and you want to promote an IM product. ow do you frame that?
How do you build a business when you have trouble focusing in a area long enough to have success and when is it time to throw in the towel?
I like to combine offline and online marketing. But I find there’s a major constraint finding people who understand both. But it’s currently too expensive to build out 2 different sets of employees. How would you handle it?
Hi Rich
Just popped in to say hello, see how you’re doing, and listen in for a while :)
Maybe I should’ve done my Heart Kids Tweet-a-thon today (along with you) instead of on September 12th (last Friday)!
Have fun. You look like you’re enjoying it.
All success

How do you deal with info overload and “too many opportunities” in front of you? Chasing two rabbits has been a challenge of mine. Great stuff Rich.
Hey Rich,
Great work.. I can’t believe I’m watching you so long..
Question: It’s interesting that all y’all internet gurus ‘decended’ from the Abrahams, Kennedys, etc.. all the classic direct-mail dudes.. but I NEVER hear about offline marketing from any of you.
Are you marketing offline? In what channels?
Do you get positive results?
Do you have recommendations for folks who want to test offline?
Thanks
Rich what is the fastest way you have found to break through emotional restraints. It seems these are harder to pin down. Any suggestions?
I have been reading your report and listening at the same time. I have an idea now that I will add live chat where I can originate communication to visitors as they arrive — when they do I can just engage them and ask them what they are looking for.
It would be a little bit like what you are doing here — you are creating bonds with visitors. (By the way, you know that you can take the html from ustream and put it on one of your web pages, don’t you?)
Seems that, if I don’t have the money for great copywriters and have uncertainties about what I am doing, it would be a good idea for me to just kind of “be” on my sales page, smiling, saying “how can I help you?” and finding out immediately what my visitors are wanting.
I would like to find out if you have experience with this or similar activity.

RICH: Without giving any details, will you bw willing to take people for your GPS who dont yet have a product or business(but has a biz idea and done lots of research) but for some reasons and constraint, has not really created the products, the business itself etc yet… ?
Dear Rich,
How do you handle criticism and rejection that comes from your stardom such that it doesn’t affect your productivity?

Rich, in your past experiences, what are the metrics you use to overcome constraints to new markets you have entered?
Doing a great job!

Rich two questions about constraints. 1) How do you bust through emotional constraints quickly such as an emotional cycle of being driven by fear to get things done and working really hard all night long for more than two years.
2) the other constraint is competitors stealing out content and having them get it out there before we do because they have more money and a newtwork already in place. What do you to to overcome this when you are a one man shop?
RICH:
I sell giant stuffed animals online like 8-feet Tall teddy bears and 6-Feet tall stuffed monkeys. I’ve used video from day one and want to take it to the next level. I want to assemble a team going out in New York City everyday (where we are located) with one of the giant stuffed animals every day, and videotape their “adventures”… like maybe sitting at Starbucks with the 6-Foot Stuffed monkey in one of the chairs.. having a “conversation” about politics, along with the person. I know I’ve got to get the legal stuff taken care of (like releases of people shown on video), and that’s a lawyer thing… but my question to YOU is:
How would YOU go about attracting this “team” of uninhibited video-bloggers that I am describing, and how would you compensate them?…(independat contractor or employee or pay-by-project basis)? This sure isn’t a job description that would go over well in the mainstream newspapers. Also, how would you set up the viral video marketing that I ultimately want to generate from this? We were doing great last year the 1st year we started, but this year, expenses have risen and sales have dipped a bit. I need to generate some sort of “sizzle”. I alos need a good web designer if you or anyone reading this can help with that… that would be great too. Thanks… love your stuff. – Mike at http://www.bigplush.com
Rich, I have 20 years experience working inside 5 Top 10 credit card companies. Based on today’s economic environment I have been crafting a product to provide insider tips on how to navigate credit cards and financial services as a whole. My unique problem is that my product would be most useful to those folks that do not have a lot of extra funds. What would you recommend by way of a pricing or marketing strategy?
Thanks for all the great info. U r awesome.

Trying this one again….
looks like your blog died mid question….
Rich, Thank you very much for putting up this! Great stuff!
I couldn’t get on this blog for a while, yeah I knew it was busy, now everone is tired, I get a chance to ask some questions(excuse me if they were asked before):
Do you need your clients to be there to coach them face to face? (as I’m in Australia, it is difficult for me to go over there for your coaching program)
What a price range will be for getting into your coaching program? (I know it will be costly, but just want to know if I can really afford it)
How can you package information to maximize implementation and benefits?
audio, mind maps, task based projects?
I was constrained for years by searching for the perfect system, perfect model, perfect diet. I discovered
that models and everything else is transitional, there is no perfect, there is only what’s better for you at
this time. Have you found this to be true, or is there something you have found more useful?
How is your report similar to/different from the concept in the book “the goal”
What do you think of having 2 accounts for each market, one to try risky things with and one to do the things
that you know work?
Do you have a list of these concepts explained? Preferrable list false and correct(at that time) concepts?
i.e. build a better mouse trap is wrong initially
paradigm shifting techniques
set crazy goals based on super fast or super big
limit your work day to 3 hours a day
what other ones?
What is the difference between strategy and tactics?
what factors do you consider for growth when looking at business models and serving segments?
scalability
duplication
leverage
continuity
affinity network
segment depth
synergy/multiple benefits in every action taken
etc.
model I tell clients for first business
Problem>Marketing channel>Pitch
Problem: what problem are you solving, are people looking, how much paying, etc.
Marketing Channel:Adwords, SEO, etc.
Pitch: what works for what segments
Everything must be in harmony
What are the top 3 lists you subscribe to and gain insights from?
Is this true?
solve the right problem for the right people to be well rewarded i.e. don’t solve low paying problems with no
upsell, solve problems for people that have money and want to spend it on your solution
piggy back traffic: find traffic source and latch on remora traffic
Do you find project success brings people together (attracts synergistic people for future projects)
Is this true? Solutions that require great effort or radical change will not get implemented.
What do you think of the more complex something is, the less likely it will be executed
PARADIGM SHIFTING TECHNIQUES
How do I get this done in 2 days
Is this model sufficient to build a multimillion dollar business?
Awareness>Action>Analysis
repeat
What do you think of the concept of don’t trust fat people? You can’t really learn how to lose weight from
someone that’s overweight. Bill gates and Tiger Woods have coaches that haven’t achieved their success. Does
this imply someone can be a great coach without having achived success in what they are coaching?
what do you think of the idea of managed ignorance: figuring out a way to limit the effects of your ignorance
a/b split testing, testing new ides/bad ideas/fastcheapeasy, list and review assumptions.
Is this a summary of everything?

Hi Rich:
I’ve heard it stated in marketing circles that the most fundamental, universal constraint most people have is their general level of self esteem and feeling as though one deserves success in life.
1) Would you agree?
2) What would you recommend as a general path for overcoming self esteem issues?
3) Was your hypnosis business I heard mentioned (or hypnosis in general) related to addressing that challenge?
Thank you,

Hi Rich,
You are one inspirational guy and I don’t know where you’re getting the energy and patience to get through this, but thanks for providing so much invaluable information.
I have a niche website that provides free information to visitors and I offer businesses free listings.
I want to make money from ad sales. When you’re giving away free stuff, what would you suggest is the best way to approach selling ad space?
Thank you!
One of the reasons education is in dire straits is that it’s buried in constraints. So those who seek change must deal not only with their own constraints but that of the institutional system. How can there be hope to improve the plight of U.S. education when mavericks are swallowed up within the instutition and have no IM skills to efficaciously share info for change outside the institution?
Couldn’t internet gurus team with professionals for quicker, more extensive change?
Rich,
I have a question for you. I am beginning to market my website FreeDebtExam.com . The website is a quick test that gives people customized advice depending how they answer a couple of questions.
PPC is ridiculously expensive in the debt industry, and long tailed keywords just don’t get enough hits. I’ve been burnt on email marketing, it just wasn’t effective. I am currently testing contextual advertising networks.
the goal is to get people to take the test, for less than $10/ conversion, ie. from filled out at end of test. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi Rich,
I’m Mya Rubio AKA Bunch in chat… you asked me to make sure I asked you this on the blog so here it goes…
Rich what about luck and timing? how much of these two are in your life?
Hi Rich,
I often get mixed messages from different “gurus” some say that the internet gold rush is just starting because it is much easier with all the tools and information available to make money online and some say that it is going to get harder and harder.
What are your thoughts on this?
Rich what do you think about a product focused at people on social security teaching affilaite marketing etc. Its something that I am passionate about as I am one
MIchael Blaes
quote from my question before:
Rich,
If someone has a very high quality product but has not been able to make many personal contacts in the business and is not well known, what would you suggest they do to attract high level affiliates and power affiliates?
~~~~~~~~~
My situation is I have spent the last 2 years designing and selling a membership script. It’s a quality script and gets nothing but rave comments from buyers. My problem is I have spent so much time designing the software I haven’t taken time to learn how to market it effectively. The sales price is $300 and the product blows the doors off of anything under $1000.
I am relatively unknown outside of Warrior Forum and can not yet afford to attend any seminars. My question is really how to contact and attract high level affiliates considering I am not well known yet. I know my product is rock solid and improving every day but haven’t a clue how to effectively market or attract affiliates.
Rich,
One of my constraints is getting family on board with my goals and aspirations.
Family and leisure time is important. What’s a good way to stay balanced?
Hey Rick,
What are things that one can practice to focus on creating and growing a business without having fearful emotions of doubt get in the way? I believe my lack of determination is because I can’t see or taste the other side filled with millions yet.
P.S. What was your advice for getting good tips as a server again? :-)
Hey Rich, g’day from Australia … Brilliant videocast, mate!
A Wild Idea: (hey, why not?)
============================
I would love to interview you from Australia for 15 minutes during this videocast. And failing that, I’d love to hear your on-the-spot live answer to the question on my mind.
The big topic on my mind is: “Days 2-7 of Week 1 of (an Entrepeneur’s) Life”.
(I started my Week 1 yesterday, so day 1 has already gone. I’ll tell you what I did yesterday in just a moment.)
My key question is: “what specifically should I do for the next 6 days, based on the principles in your report, spelt out in concrete terms, 1 day at a time, to start my life as an online entrepeneur.”
Now I don’t expect to make my fortune in 7 days. But I do need to be getting somewhere within 6 months. I want you to help me (even cheer me) off the starting blocks.
So who am I?
============
My name is Michael, from Perth, Western Australia.
I’m a near-broke 55-year old Aussie guy, recovering from a pretty long illness (like a few months). I’m not 100% over it yet, and only have enough energy for 2-3 hours of work a day.
I’m absolutely willing to plough these limited hours into redefining my life (hey, it’s never too late is it?!). But on such a low tank, getting the absolute max value for my juice is crucial.
I’ve got a single product at this point – a great bedtime CD for kids who don’t go to bed very happily. It’s called “Peaceful Night” (http://www.peacefulnight.com.au). I produced it before I got sick, working with a professional children’s counsellor. I now want to use this CD as the springboard into my entrepeneurial future.
Is this a crazy dream? Dunno. But it’s the dream I’m dreaming anyway!!!
So what have I done so far?
===========================
Well yesterday was day 1 of week 1. After a week of pretty solid effort, I took my first baby step. Don’t laugh …
I put up an ebay ad!!! Yeah! So far 6 visitors in 16 hours. Oh, yeah, plus a really crude ugly first website (2-pages) with some blurb and audio samples.
Right now it’s crappy – I admit. Though I’d like to think it’s at least a good example of “Do it wrong fast”. Short term, I’m planning on tightening up the copy and putting up some Google Ads to try to get some quick turnaround. Longet term I’m planning to start a list and a blog/newsletter focussing on “great bedtime tips” or even more broadly on “tips for parents of young kids (3-11)”.
So maybe I’ve already made the 10 worst mistakes you could make. Things can’t start out more crude and primitive than this, but hey I’m crawling out from under a rock here, so this is some kind of progress !!! But it ain’t a future – YET.
So my question again?
=====================
“What shall I do in each of the next 7 days to start building the successful future I’m aiming for?”
I’d really love to hear your answer.
Thanks Rich. Fantastic stuff mate! Michael.
PS: I’ve got a genuine Aussie accent, so the interview idea could be a huge success :):):) … I reckon there could be a ton of people who’d really love to eaves-drop on a frank practical conversation between a guy like me – a raw newbie – and you, a proven entrepeneurial success. Kind of like David meets Goliath, except I wouldn’t bring my sling … promise!
Hi Rich,
A Business Acceleration client of yours
who really enjoyed reading the new report.
Quick question if you haven’t discussed it already:
How did you put together your personal network of
A list players? I’d love to hear how you did it
especially who you partnered with first, Jeff Walker,
Frank Kern, Mary Ellen Tribby, etc…
I think a lot of us would love to hear some specifics
about this since many of us are trying to assemble our
own dream teams and are growing through growing pains
Like in my case, having to watch dear friends fall by the wayside
because they simply refuse to meet deadlines or keep
taking action….and having to let them remain friends
but not be business team members
Hi Rich,
This is all AMAZING Wow! :)
My question: What % Conversion should I expect from a list of opt-in members to Buy?
I know the Conversion rate depends on market and how much you take care of your list.
But what is the minimum average and what is the maximum I should expcet or that you ever experieced?
I am trying to create a pessimistic / average / optimistic scenario, and I wanted to know which could be logical numbers.
We’re talking about a first time but big product launch :)
THANKS
Rod
Just a chicken and egg question…
Any recommendations to start ups selling products with no formal ‘runs on the board’ with client results etc?
It is obviously fantastic to list people after you have helped so many people, however any
Any ideas to get over that hump? I suppose the solution is a value proposition…? Any comments :)
hey rich. just got on. tnx 4 sharing ur insights. =)
oh hey. u bringing up john carlton (earlier) just reminded of something …
one of his students offers a program with a monthly membership n i’ve been getting tons of his mktg follow-ups 2 get me 2 buy in but here’s my question 4 u …
what’s ur take on the importance of having ur salesletter n follow-up mktg materials literally RIDDLED with typos, grammatical errors and incoherent and run-on sentences and having them sent as is?
granted, he’s had gr8 success with his materials the way they are, but the fact is, his target market is highly educated, meaning higher degree professionals.
and this from one of john carlton’s students. i mean would you allow, “The Uncertainty Syndrome” and other reports you’re giving away to your prospective clients to be filled with run-on sentences, grammatical errors, etc. ?
Hi Rich,
I have tested my talents on converting offline business to online and producing some great results. Even producing a great path for failing small niche business back into growth.
I have the online model and I have the offline model and how to glue them and scale it.
Whats your advice for building a partner network leading to a franchise model….
Have you heard of Bloghology magazine before? It is the one and only printed/online/digital blogging magazine. Would you interested in an interview for Bloghology readers? Please contact me. Thanks!
Hi Rich,
This live stream is great- Thank you!
I am a student of with your Maven Home study course.
I have *just* started my site. In relation to what I have read of you latest report (only managed to read half at work today..), how can I figure out what my constraint is when it is such a new business?
Thanks again for everything!!!
Rich,
It’s a major challenge to me to be a business maven while at the same time trying to be on top of the internet marketing, business strategy, and all that goes with all of that. Just the latter alone seems a full-time activity or more!
It strikes me as somewhat easier if your market is internet marketing and you are a maven in that field because the whole thing interconnects. However, if the market that you are a maven in is completely different, e.g. Trading, that ALONE requires almost a full-time mental effort to keep up with.
So, how do we stay on top of the marketing/business strategy with actually BEING a maven in our specific niche, which is a completely unrelated but HUGE topic area in itself?
Yes, I know that the obvious answer is have staff and divide the labor, but I am still one person right now, plus a bit of outsourcing. Any thought would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Rich I am a male selling a very female affiliate product using a female pen name with good results. I want to create my own product, should I continue using the same pen name as a female.
There is more to this but I don’t wish to write it on the blog
Ok. Here’s a serious question:
I’ve been in business over three years creating several different online marketing services and online software platforms.
We’ve seriously launched three different products and had just moderate success. Grew one company to about 20 ppl, mostly sales folks.
Each business has been barely profitable.
Each time, I’ve basically abandoned the business within six months because I felt it was clear that the product wasn’t TAKING OFF and I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life pushing rocks uphill.
Also, each time, I felt like I learned something significant about strategy and how much I didn’t know… thought my next idea would be better.
We’re now about to launch my next, best effort.
My question: Seems like my constraints are around perfectly nailing my market with a solution that they LOVE and can’t wait to buy. I get enchanted with my babies and can’t see that it’s not going to work.
How do you break through this constraint?
And what lengths do you go to in advance of a product launch to ensure that your product and offer is really going to resonate?
The world’s first hard copy blogging magazine, Bloghology – wants to interview you Rich – are you interested? http://www.bloghology.org is the main site – we are interviewing Yaro Starak, Darren Rowse, Chris Garret, Guy Kawasaki, and others.
Rich, as a generalization, if most people and business owners are “problem-centric” in their thinking – either through habit or through mimic-ing others – how do you (or would you) encourage clients to develop “solution-centric” thinking?
There is a big difference – psychologically, as well as results-wise between the two approaches.
Thanks in advance
Hi Rich,
What are the most common questions that you’re asked(especially the ones from your coaching clients)? Do real world businesses and Internet Marketers ask similar questions & do they have the same Constraints?
What is your USP/elevator speech?
I guess for me Rich Schefren is synonymous with Internet Business Manifesto, Guru’s Guru, high-end coaching, etc…
Hi Rich,
How would you suggest the best way to grow a personal assistant service business (and not get more press, but more profit)?
Thanks,
Hi Rich regarding your Maven Matrix Manifesto, should we build our skills up first before we enter our chosen niche? Or do we go straight into our chosen niche and build up our credibility along the way?
Did I make a mistake by entering a niche I’m not an expert in? The reason I started marketing in this niche is because I was interested and passionate about it.
Hi Rich.
My PASSION is ‘Philosophy’. not the classical stream, more my own thoughts on the ‘Meaning of Life’, why we’re here, and what to do about it.
My problem is, I really don’t know the best route to monetize it.
When I do searches I only find ‘classical’ publications making any money at all. But I’m sure that somewhere out there, there is a niche that I’m not seeing.
How would you research this problem?
Thanks, Pete moring.
re male selling female product.
My core off line business is in alternative therapies and I could link this product to the alternative business but because its a very female product that can make a woman’s body develop bigger parts I am not sure whether I will be (shunned upon) if thats the right word, because I am a male.
thank you for your time
You say in your time management tips to focus on just one project and finish that. How would you adjust for when you consult with multiple clients?
In that situation, one would probably have multiple projects with each client having high expectations for quick completion of the projects.
You’ve consulted before. Do you just recommend doing just hourly consultation instead of project-based consultation, or is there another way you recommend.
Thanks,
Simon
What do you do with people who have bought your product and you know they never even opened it and understood it… they continue to call you day and night… what should you do in a situation like this…
Sometimes I feel my husband bottle feeds some of these people and they JUST NEVER GET IT… even though with every question he answers through video and they continue to ask the same questions… so he has one on ones with them…then later in the week they ask the same dang question…
It is driving me nuts and it’s not even my product it’s my husbands.
Thanks for your thoughtful answer to my question about coming up with a series of tough-to-sell products and your commiseration…
But: I’m not sure what you said will really help me break through my constraint.
What i heard you say was: ‘talk to your friends’ and ‘if you can’t quickly and easily say it in a way that sounds cool, you might have a problem’.
Of course, I did talk to my friends. And, yes, my ideas do sound cool.
I also heard you say something about ’storyboarding the transaction process’.
Is that process how you would recommend breaking through the constraint?
And, if so, can you elaborate on that storyboarding process?
If not, how would you – in your upcoming coaching program, for example – coach someone to actually break through that constraint?
Hi Rich.
After some recovering sleep I’ve waked up and you are still amazing us with your pearls of wisdom. My question is simple.
How to manage personal fears that constrain my business success potential?
BTW I recomend you a powerful recovery spa session after this 24 marathon!
Hi Rich,
Thanks for answering my question!
That’s how I’ve been doing things so I’m glad
to hear that my method is similar to yours. :)
Really appreciate it~
This is wonderful what you’re doing.
Your patience with the silly questions is amazing.
Hey Rich -
As Strategic Profits moves forward, how will you remove yourself as a constraint?
Thanks!
Hi Rich,
What do think about Community Sites or Forums that use the Karma or User Points System to restrict user content?
The way I have seen it work, is that the actual users decide which content to restrict (such as >15 posts necessary to view this post).
Then when a user that does not meet the condition enters the post he is told to either:
1) Write more posts and contribute
2) DONATE MONEY to the community
However, when I saw that I asked myself, how come it’s possible that the same users restrict the content and benefit the site? Then I realized that the top contributors did this because they felt it was unfair for them to contribute while they didn’t.
QUESTION: In Such system instead of having donate option, would it be a bad idea to rename Donate to get a Silver Membership? (different concept as Donate is give away any amount of money only once, while Silver Membership could mean recurrent payument per month)
I have never seen it this way. I am afraid that doing this would make users not restrict the posts themselves. However having a donate option doesn’t seem serious to me.
What would you recommend , could this work?
Thanks
2 questions:
1st, I am a bit of a tech whore and somewhat of a tweaker. The mic you are currently using caught my eye. What model are you using?
2nd, Rich have you been following the launch of mindmovies and would you say this was a near picture perfect launch? It seems to be going viral. If you have been following it I would love to hear your comments on their campaign. A lot happens behind the scenes and I was hoping to glean some insights IF you can share? I have learned a great deal by watching it unfold.
Rich,
I am about to do a hard launch for a SaaS model software geared for Lottery Enthusiasts. What is the best way to reach out beyond the borders of the U.S. ie: Europe, Australia, etc. We have a unique model and want an efficient way to reach this $225 Billion worldwide market.
Tonight is the first time I have heard of you, but I have been listening for the past 4 hours and have downloaded two of your reports. What are the steps to work with you on a consulting basis?
Thanks,
Kevin Venner
What percentage of your revenue comes from JV and affiliates? (roughly)
** Do you actively try to keep goals and metrics for breaking up your revenues derived from outside-sources?
** Over the past year, what have your most popular products?
** What percentage of your customers ultimately order more than one of your sales items?
Rich you have suggested to outsource work (product development etc) to make things run smoothly, but what happens when the info for these products is all in my head. In that case I am the only one that can write it, am I doomed! :)
Hi Rich, i was wondering what in your point of view is more important for a online business; the design or the content on their website. While both are important i wonder which one is worth to invest in most.
Apologies if you have answered this question before. How would you recommend that cash strapped beginners online get good quality sales pages written especially considering its such an intuitive, creative process
Hey Rich…
Thanks for doing this. This is historic, please make this available later so I can watch it again.
My question is, if I am starting brand new, am I am targeting
100 ceo’s that I want to do business with (from Chet Holmes’ Dream
100 Strategy) how can I get their permission to read any of my reports oor positioning papers so they can view me as an expert?
Rich when you came into this business how much capital did you come in with and how many people were on your team?
Yeah.. I think you’re right.
I think for the first two products, my friends were being nice, but were really hazy.
For the third, I think my marketing kind of sucks. That, and I’ve got a problem with super-well funded competitors…
One thing you said tonight that’s great: the easiest-to-buy product will often win. That’s different than ‘the best product’ or the one with the most features or even the cheapest… a great insight.
My constraint is shifting from doing to coaching / consulting.
I know that I know more than 95% of people, I can market other people or products but marketing myself is where I struggle. I seem to have start-ups who have no money or clients who should have been talking to a marketer ages ago and are close to terminal. Surely successful mid and larger companies already have their marketing people so why would they pay for an external person? I don’t know how to justify a higher fee when I haven’t delivered yet.
Thanks
Hi!I’m trying to develop my autoresponder messages. I have about 10 and another 10 unfinished yet. What advice can You give about email marketing? Also Who do You think we should study email marketing with?
This is great I was expecting to see You almost asleep by this point but You look great!
Thanks!
Do You ever blink Your eyes? It’s strange!!!
Are You going to release this? This is just amazing the amount of information You are delevering here!
Thanks!
Thank you rich for this training. Its incredibly valuable and I think this is one of the greatest things ever done in this segment. Can you go over what you process is on a day to day basis and some of your best marketing strategies you have used for all of your businesses? I know reports are a chief one but can you share a few others?
Sincerely,
Ian J. Dunlap
Thanks, Rich for this wonderful idea.
Here’s my situation:
I’ve never launched a product before, but now I’m in the process of completing my first product in a completely new niche for me (non-IM niche) and it is schedule to launch 30th Sept.
I’ve been reading a lot about JVing and I’ve come to know that creating rapport with prospective JV partners is key to getting them on board. But I’m afraid because I have very little time to create this rapport before the launch.
I think rescheduling the launch date is not a very good idea for me considering that this product creation has been on my to-do list for much too long. So what do you suggest I do? How best can I reach the prospective JV partners without getting turned down? And without first creating rapport? (Or how best can I create rapport in a very short time?)
Thanks again. You’re awesome.
~Rayy
Dear Rich,
I am about to release my First Report full of good content to my list.
I wanted to know when do you think it’s a good timing to use Forced Viral Marketing techniques like the ones you use:
-Ask people to add comments in exchange of bonuses
-Ask people to refere friends in exchange of bonuses
I am afraid people could feel offended by me doing any of these two – specially with my first reports as they have been waiting for months for the rpoduct release and I am now giving them a content for free before everything is finally releases fr the FIRST Time. However, I also know that these techniques could triple my optin conversions.
QUESTION: If you had to start all over again and your name and company was unknown BUT you had a copy of all the tools of forced viral marketing at the tip of you fingers, would you use them? Or would you wait to release the FIRST report without any forced viral tools until using them?
Rich you’re the best. THANKS SO MUCH!!
Hi
I am selling a magazine on the Emotional Freedom Techniques it is a posted magazine, good quality in the post witha weabsit to advertise it etc.
A niche market as we are the only ones doing it, how do we get the word out without spamming?
Best
Rich,
I was a member of Strategic Profits when that opened around 2 years ago.
A lot of the content in this report was in that program.
I think your content is very good it can’t really be argued with as
you propose business truths.
I think the main issue that most people have with online courses is the lack of
coaching to follow up with.
I think a program like what I think you are proposing needs individual coaching for people to get the most out of it.
You dont have the capacity to coach all the people who would want it. You tried it with 150 people or so when you launched
strategic profits.
I think there is only a small percentage of people that can coach themselves through a program like yours.
What are you going to provide in terms of individual coaching because without that I think only 5% of the people that sign up will
get any significant results
Rich,
I have a unique physical product range (www.Podlett.com) that sold very well online as a great ‘holiday-gift’ leading up Christmas 2007.
For Christmas 2007 we were selling direct to the end consumer from the product’s website using google adwords as our only marketing channel.
For Christmas 2008 I’d like to really scale the product by:
1. JV’s – to get more direct consumer traffic into the sales process (thinking via Mike Filsaime / Traffic Fusion / integration marketing style)
(and / or)
2. Wholesale – wholesale or drop-ship sales to gift & other related online stores
My question is:
“Do you think that I should try and pursue both growth tactics at the same time given limited time & resources, or would you lean towards one versus the other & why? Also, do you have any tips that you have for marketing to online retailers (as a wholesaler)?”
Many thanks for your efforts!
Dave
Manufactured Problems…
Anyone who has seen an infomercial knows how contrived the acted-out-problems are… the woman who smears things everywhere while trying to clean up using a normal mop or the person jerking up to do crunches with his face scrunched up in pain… NO one in real life would EVER do it the way they show it in the infomercials…
or how they have before and after pictures that use different poses, lighting, make-up, etc(maybe even different people!)…
Now should we as marketers overstate a problem? Make the problem a lot bigger and worse than it really is?
Doesn’t this alienate potential customers? Doesn’t it insult their intelligence? It must work… people are buying this stuff like crazy! Do people ignore the obvious(the overacted scenarios) because they’re in such pain & desperation to find a solution…? or multiple solutions…?
Like how many diets or supplements a fat person(maybe us marketers are indirectly creating an industry of telling normal people that they’re fat…) will go on and use…? Exercise machines… It’s endless. So marketers are taking full advantage of this situation and exploiting it like there’s no tomorrow…
It boggles my mind… is there a line that we should not cross? Or is this one of my Constraints?
Maybe I should use honest marketing as a hook & maybe make them doubt the competition’s reasons for selling them their stuff, up-sells & cross-sells?
Thank you So much for answering all these questions. I really appreciate all your valuable time teaching us for free.
