Hi James - that's a great tip - I hadn;t realised how "busy" my mind was with all those peripheral things to keep draining my attention. It now feels a LOT easier to concentrate! It's the small tips that make the big differences, hey.

Dear Richy Rich

So your champions stepped up to save you...., very sorry that you needed them to do such a brave thing for you, but you must be so very proud of them.

You do mean the ass kissers, that everyone with a few bucks has, those who follow them around and agree with everything they say. Just like the folks who kept sending money to Jim Baker even after he was arrested.

I can see how you like to take someone's words and twist them around to try and get your blind sheep to look in a direction away from you and the truth. Why do you try to make anyone who exposes the truth appear to be twisted, tortured, and somehow delusional?

If you had an honest bone in your body, you'd admit that 99.9 % of all of these way over-priced products that you and your fellow peddlers are pushing won't benefit one tenth of one percent of the people who purchase them, mostly because there's no real followup and support.

As I attempted to state in my earlier response, most of the "sheep" will blindly purchase your golden idol thinking that it will be the answer to their prayers. In reality, unless you're an established Interent Marketer none of these tidbits will help any of these poor desperate souls make a single dollar, and the sad part about all of this is, that you know this all too well.....

None of you guys put a warning notice that says, "unless you're an already established Interent Marketer, who has the staff that I have, the experience, the money, the exisiting name recognition, etc. etc. etc, there's a high probability that purchasing this product won't result in anything more than you being releaved of your hard earned money."

You can always fall back and say, "Oh, what are you talking about, I started out with nothing and I made it." Which as I also tried to state before, when you started it was far easier to "make it," and if you'd get real honest again, you did it coming from a related background with already exisiting connections and money that none of the people purchasing your products has.

So by selling these products and saying, "Oh my goodness, this works for me and my organization, and therefore it's going to work for you as well," is a misuse of your position, because it just isn't true.

I'd like to see one of you guys hire an independant organization that would audit how many people purchased your wonderful products, and just how many of them actually made any money from them, and then publish the findings. It would be less than one tenth of one percent who really benefited, and you know it.

So by twisting what I said around to make it sound as if I was asking for a handout, you've totally proven my point as to what you're made of and where you're coming from. It's just to make a buck, and it's not to really help anyone.

Instead of trying to make me look like someone I'm not, why didn't you reply back directly to me and ask me to clarify any points that I made that you either didn't agree with or understand? It's simply because you didn't want to clarify, nor discuss anything, you simply wanted to see how much mileage you could get out of my comments after distorting what I really said.

I never asked for a handout. I asked for a real offering. Just so you don't turn the word "offering" around, I don't mean church offering, donation, or handout. I mean something that offered a bit of real human interest and caring, something that really helped the majority of people. Something that isn't just a piece of software, an ebook, or a CD. Those things may pump your ego up and make "YOU" a lot of money, but they don't help the vast majority of people who purchase them.

You guys always say things like, "Well it's not going to help you if you don't use it. Over 90% of the people who purchase these wonderful products of mine never use them, so how are they going to profit from them?" Have you ever asked yourself why over 90% of the people who purchase them never use them? Have you ever asked the people who purchase them why they don't use them, of if they did use them, why they haven't been able to build the organization that you have? I didn't think so. That would take too much time, and you couldn't charge them any money for taking your survey, so why would you want to do that.

If you did, you might find out that most people don't have all of the pieces that you have to put products like that to use. Once they buy them and attempt to use them, they realize they don't have all of the missing pieces to earn a penny from your most wonderful product. Another thing you know, is that the majority of them are going to be too embarrassed to admit it, and they just slink off into the darkness looking for the next miracle product.

So the real point here is that if you really gave a damn about anyone making it, you would have said, "Do any of you guys agree with anything that Dennis is saying here, and if you do, what do you feel that I could do to be different, to make a real difference, and really help all of you?" What I was asking for, and what 99% of everyone else out there is asking for, is more than just an ebook, or a CD that costs $2,000.00 plus.

What people would really like would be a mentoring program along with the expensive ebooks and CD's. Something that could fill in all of the missing parts. Someone who would care enough to take the time to make sure that everyone who plunked down all of that money, got their money's worth and were able to effectively put it to use and make some money with it.

Your inflated ego may tell you that simply telling people bits and pieces of "how you made it," is worth thousands of dollars to them, but that isn't the real reason that most people are purchasing your stuff. Sure, your little followers will cow cow up to you and tell you what your ego wants to hear simply because they think that's how they're going to win you over the way you've won them over, "By telling someone something they want to hear.!"

If any of them had a lick of sense, they'd ask, "Hey, why don't you offer something as backup to really help us?" Proof that you wouldn't entertain that idea is the fact that you made a statement that I had the gaul to ask you to open your organization up to common folks like us. Why wouldn't you want to open your organization up to us? After all, where did your organization come from? Didn't it come from the contributions of the very people you are wanting to refuse access to?

My suggestion to do these things wasn't with the idea that it be for free as you attempted to make it sound. Even if it was, is doing something for free somehow against your good business ethics? The suggestion was to go the extra mile, to offer something really different and meaningful, to do something that might really make you stand out as someone who really cared.

It looks as if you totally missed the point, and even though you'll deny that, and attempt to turn everything I've said around and get some additional mileage out of this for your own selfish gains, I'm sure many people can see through what you're doing.

If there were a way to converse with you via direct email, or phone, I'd prefer to that, but there's no way that the "commom folk" are allowed to do that. Why would you want to do that when you can distort what I say and get some mileage out of your distortions? All you want to do is to turn a valid question into a circus act!

My only hope is that one of your fellow peddlers will see this and think what a novel idea it might be to really offer something more than an over-priced ebook. That one of you will become the hundredth money, break from the pack, and walk your talk about really offering something of value.

Your Most Humble Admirer,

Dennis Tays

Wow! If there's a downside to controversy, this is a great example of the upside when it's seen as an asset instead of a liability. Just another reason to take seriously the changes that "new media marketing"/web 2.0 are making to the marketing landscape.

A good quote I heard this week applies to the challenges of the internet marketing learning curve:

"You have 3 choices: Be Good. Get Good. Give Up."

Good stuff Rich. Keep it coming.

Until I read "Eavesdropping on the Internet", I had absolutely no idea iGoogle, Google Reader, etc even existed.

I now have an iGoogle page and G. Reader.

This has prompted quite few questions.

Can I please have the address of the Forum so that I can ask questions there.

I can't believe how often my name comes up with postings, articles, what others say, and material completely unrelated to my 2 blogs, eg voting on a prose passage on a literary website.

It was so much fun.

Thanks very much Rich,

Cheers,

Thanks again Dave (and Rich) ... I think I finally got it figured out (now that reader decided to actually show up on my page) and now I'll just have some fun customizing it all. I really do appreciate the support ;) *SmiLes* Suzanne

Dave ~ Thank you so much for your response.

"You can load this into your Google Reader by going to the tool, then selecting Import/Export."

Do you mean the tool that is now on my desktop? Or the Google Reader? I have tried opening the one on my desktop and it says I don't the software to open it ... And I don't see an import/export on the Reader page? I'm sorry ... I'm somewhat technically challenged! LOL

Thanks again ... Suzanne
