The Most Effective Way To Grab Attention

I have a confession to make–I LOVE picking up the check.

That’s one of the perks of being a guru. Whenever you’re having dinner or drinks with friends or clients, you’re always able to take care of the tab without worry.

In fact, most of my guru pals are the same way. Sometimes we nearly get into a scuffle trying to decide who’s paying the bill!

So why am I making this confession?

Because today, I am picking up the check for you. And it’s not dinner you’re getting…oh no, it’s something MUCH bigger.

Let me explain…

Unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past few years, you know I’ve built my empire company to it’s current size by giving great information away for free.

This is simply the most effective way to grab your market’s attention. Connect with them on a deeper, personal level. Gain respect from your buyers. And break through to an audience whose attention is being pulled in 1000 directions.

Now, I can’t say this was always a popular strategy. In fact, when I started giving away great content over 3 years ago more than one so-called guru sneered, rolled their eyes, and said…

You’re crazy, you should be charging for the Internet Business Manifesto, you won’t see me giving away my great content. You’re outta your tree, Schefren.

But the truth is, this approach not only works, it’s arguably the biggest trend in online marketing right now.

Just look around…mega-marketers like Frank Kern, Jeff Walker, Mike Filsaime, Eben Pagan, and many more are following the same trail I’ve blazed–and they’re making millions of dollars in profits along the way.

And I must admit–I’m beaming with pride. Because some were my students. And to see them making their dreams come true by following in my footsteps puts a huge smile on my face.

So what does this have to do with me picking up the check? It’s very simple actually.

I feel a great debt of gratitude towards those who have followed my non-conventional teachings and have made their mark in the business world. And I want to give something back.

Listen closely, because here’s how I’m going to do it…

A while back, I spoke at Mike Filsaime’s 7 Figure Code event along with an A-list group of gurus. It cost $5,000 to get inside, and the information was STELLAR to say the least.

Then Mike took the recordings and turned them into a powerhouse package of DVDs, selling over 3,000 copies for $1297.

Recently, Mike hired a $25,000 copywriter to pull only the juiciest, most content-rich chunks from those DVDs and condense them into a no-fluff, 84 page report.

And on Thursday, June 5th, he’s giving that report to you–in actual spiral bound, hold-it-in-your-hands-and-read-it format–for free.

But that’s not ALL he’s handing you…

Mike’s going to throw in the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript as well, which turned the Internet marketing community on its ear when it was released…

…along with 18 full-color process maps detailing mind-blowing business strategies from Mike, Stephen Pierce, myself and a host of others. (which came out of my office – but that’s a story for another day)

Oh, and he’s not charging even one more penny for any of this either.

Now, you gotta admit–that’s a BUNCH of stuff coming to your mailbox. Which means the cost of postage is going to be more than your typical stamp.

So to offset that cost, Mike is going to ask for a small shipping and handling charge of $7.95. (US)

Nothing major. Most people can handle this, right?

Well before you reach for your credit card or login to your PayPal account, stop.

Because it’s already been taken care of.

That’s correct–I’m going to personally pay for your shipping and handling on all of Mike’s materials that are coming your way.

It’s my way of saying thanks to everyone who’s taken action and followed my lead… by giving away the farm now in order to reap greater rewards later.

(And I just want to do a little something special for all my readers and clients.)

Now, before we go any further, there’s one small favor I want to ask today…

It’s not a requirement, but if you could send me a quick testimonial on how some tidbit of information I’ve given you for free–whether it was from a report, blog post, or something else–that changed your business and your life for the better, I would appreciate it.

It can be in email form, audio, video… whatever you want. I’d just love to see it. Just send it to:

kristen [at] strategicprofits.com

Deal?

Cool. So here’s what comes next…

  1. If you’re on my email list, just sit tight. You’ll receive an email with a special code that will allow me to pay for your shipping and handling on Mike’s complimentary package. Simply follow the instructions inside and you’re good to go.

  2. If you’re NOT on my list, opt-in on the green form above and become part of the Strategic Profits family. You’ll get an ongoing business-building and marketing education at no charge. Once you do, you’ll receive your special code very soon.

One more thing–this code is unique to you and will only work once. So please don’t forward it (once you receive it) or give it away…agreed? We will only be refunding shipping for the people who are attached to the code we will be sending.

Great. Look for the email and we’ll talk more soon…

Rich

P.S. While it’s true that giving some of your best material away for free is a major trend in our business today…there’s another even bigger trend just beyond the horizon.

Can’t say what it is right now, but over the summer we’ll be releasing more details.

And come September, everything you know about building a multi-million dollar Internet empire will change in the blink of an eye.

Don’t believe me? Neither did all the naysayers who told me years ago that I was crazy for handing over the keys to the vault.

If you have a friend that would like to take advantage of this major opportunity, send them here right away.

See how you can apply this “free” strategy to work for you and your business … just like Rich.

    Hey Rich,

You’re Right! The market keeps advancing and information is becoming more and more freely available… which then makes it harder and harder to stand out from the crowd.

First it was free reports, then free audios and ebooks, then “free” hard copy cd’s, now Mike is stepping it up a bit more w/ even more hard materials… it’s going to take savvy marketers to gain attention and get people to stand up and say “man… that’s something I haven’t seen before… I want a piece of that!”.

I can see what’s on the horizon for ’08 and love the way the market is going… the people who don’t want to work hard (and smart) will just get flushed out of the market.

Keep up the good work and keep innovating.

    Cheers,

    - Trevor

    Wow! that’s Great Rich!
This email of yours really woke me up!
Recalling the Biblical thruth spoken during King Solomon reign:
“He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed!” And that’s what
    you are doing. Great!pressed on!
I have been an adict to information softwares for the past years and have
been collecting and purchasing great infos but they are all stacked away
in the garage collecting dust! Worthless, I call it as it has not been
used. But now, I’m going to do something about it! And with yours
Generosity and Mike, I know that I’m going to be blessed with your free
offer but indeed both of you are ahead of me to receive blessings as you’re already refreshing thousand of people.

    Hi Rich,

Oh I love it when I experience others operating from a place of abundance.

I have to say that there is only a few emails that I actually read when I get them and because of how much you give and so freely with information that is great and could easily be sold.

Looking forward to what is coming next.

    INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PROBLEM:

POSSIBLE TO SHIP IT TO TURKEY TOO?

    Rich,

I just sadly realized “the7figuresecrets.com” won’t ship the material to Turkey… Turkey is unfortunately not included in the 60-country list. It will ship to neighbors Greece, Bulgaria, and even Cyprus… but NOT to Turkey!

    And, I live in Turkey!

Is there any way to make the shipping available for TURKEY too?

I would be VERY VERY GRATEFUL!

HOW I KNOW WHAT IS MY CALLING?

  • http://www.webcopy-writing.com/blog/ RAY EDWARDS

There is no way to uncheck the magazine subscription box– forced continuity??

So you have to take the magazine subscription whether you want it or not?

  • http://MLMCoaching.com Cheryl Gonzalez

Ray…they will send you a sample and then you can call to cancel if you don’t like it.

So, yes, it’s Forced Continuity but VERY upfront since they give you a # to call if you prefer not to get anymore. I suppose after you order you can call and say you don’t want it.

I’m surprised they didn’t automate the canceling from the member area they send you to. I guess Mike has plenty of staff :-)

  • http://www.NetDominate.com Dave Jackson

Just to add to the rest – I could not find anywhere to put your code. I went through it twice… Am pretty smart – but…

Maybe you should have tested this on someone not familiar with the multiple offer pages to see if they could find it.

Should we send you the bill? (grin)

hey dave, sorry you had difficulty but if you read the very first page i sent you to there was a message from me with the steps to follow. if you look up 5 comments from yours (at least as i write this) you’ll see that andrew locke had the same issue but then saw it on the member’s page – which is where i said it would be. just go back to your members page, and if you have any problems, let us know.

Awesome, what you are doing here Rich…
How do you gain access to the private call with Mike you mentioned? (Will there be a download for it since I wouldn’t be able to dial in?)

    Thanks =)

  • Kevin

    Hi Rich,

Gaining attention is only the start. It must be followed by quality thoughout. I am too busy implementing and re-adjusting my business to waste my time.
Your recommendations and support of Mike since I first came in contact with you has been nothing but admorable, you obviously think a great deal of this guy both professionaly and personaly, and as I repsect your opinions and signed up from your last email.

    Here’s the however!
3 x I tried to sign up – 3 x the site showed transaction failure, (My rule is 3 times is the limit), So what a suprise this morning to find I was sucessful and the credit card had gone through! but can I log in to correct the address layout? or use your discount code? you guessed it!

I am not concerned that the postage tab won’t be picked up or that the postman may have difficulty in deciphering the address, but I am concerned with the quality of action from a marketer you have recommended, how does this make me feel?

    1. A one off – just ignore it?
    2. Don’t trust this guy if he can’t get the sign up right why should I listen to his advice?
    3. Mistrust of your recommendations?

Hey Rich, this is just getting rid of some of my frustration and of course I will still consider your opinion and recommendations.
But my point is life is too short and time too prescious to turn positive customer attention into ‘lack of care’.

Thanks for this lesson I shall take on board all of these errors and ensure my customers get full attention from me or my suppliers.

    Kevin

  • http://www.strategicprofits.com Rich Schefren

Kevin, sorry you had such challenges – and i appreciate your frustration. I also appreciate your kind words. If i were you i would notify mike’s customer service department so you can get your log in – once you get it, you’ll still be able to put your code in. I know that’s not you main point… but (this is important) my gift was more than picking up the shipping, it was also a call that mike and i are going to do together where he’s going to walk us through the entire campaign and it’s results and compare my clients to his average to determnine the impact of my gift on his process. It should be a great call, i know i’m looking forward to it – i am anxious to see the impact and what i can derive from the results.

  • http://www.companiesnow.com.au Rich Muir

    Hi Rich,

Thanks for all your great information I have to say that there is only a few marketers whose information I take the time to read and you are definitely one of them.

I have purchased Mike’s information over the last couple of years and it is good but I still choose to sign up through your link.

Why? Well I would put it down to a real sense of trust even though I know Mike’s material it can feel a lot like Mike is all about purely making money. Now I know most of the net gurus are all about creating wealth but there are a few that seem to have something a little extra.

    Any way thanks again.

  • Bengt

    Hi Rich,

To complement Kevin’s post. My transaction didn’t go through at all. The reason – I was already on Mike Filsaime’s mailing list (“This email already exists“). So I couldn’t order anything.

I tried 2 times (I am even harder than Kevin, I will only try 2 times – if it doesn’t work then I skip it). The same result.

Of course I am on Mike Filsaime’s mailing list as I am on other good marketers lists like yours Rich.

I would say that denying a current customer to buy again is breaking every marketing rule there is or have I misunderstood everything?

Keep up the good work Rich. You tried but apparently Mike doesn’t like customers to come back.

    Bengt

  • Brian

    Hey Bengt:
Brian From Rich’s office. I would like to know more about your post. I am not aware of the issue you bring up. Please call me in the office.

However, I thought it would be good to just talk a minute about something that you jogged my thoughts on. It’s called “Friction” in a process or sales process. This is something we have been recently getting trained on. I am NOT saying to make the process difficult by any means but there is value and the need for a certain level of “Friction” in the process to help qualify buyers. There are very strategic ways to dial-up friction and how to also offset it with incentives. Its a lot more in depth than this but you definitely don’t want to miss the call that Rich and Mike are doing because you will learn more about this process.
Go through the process and get on this call:
