I too faced a similar problem..because the pdf is having loads of images, i guess you should really wait until it completely downloads.

While you’re certainly trying to help John, I am of the opinion that the document is copyright protected and sending it to someone constitutes to piracy. It would be best to have Rich handle this issue, unless you have his permission to do so. Hope I don’t sound like a prude.. or worst still.. unhelpful!

I too cannot download Doctrine 2 properly. All I get is a blank screen and a screen shot saying :’Badd encryption dictionary’

Thanks for the great video guide and useful video links. I’d just like to add a couple of comments. When selecting a mini DV camcorder ensure that it has a socket to take an external microphone, which you can upgrade to at a later date. A good lavalier mic (that clips on your lapel) can be purchased for under $25. It will improve you audio quality a lot and should be the first ‘extra’ that anyone should buy.
Classifying Camtasia as a video editing application might be a little confusing to some of your readers who are new to video. Of course it is a great screen capture video program, with a great offer on at the moment, as mention by Paul.

Just wanted to say that while reading Doctrine 2 gave me the idea of having a video of weaving the various handmade products of beautiful baskets. Then today you e-mail me with this offer. More tips:
Write/draw storyboards.
It will help a lot. Especially working on a deadline.
Know what it is you want the final video to look like.
If you can’t draw/write it, you can’t shoot it.

Please give us some more time to learn to do vids…it takes forever to get the sound right!
Mini DV Digital Camera’s range in price from $200 to $500+. What exact specifications do you recommend? Do you have a specific camera that you recommend? A specific recommendation for a tri-pod would also be helpful.
Paul is right on with Camtasia, another great product from TechSmith.
If you have Premiere Pro and just never used it, stop by my site for some simple to follow tips on video editing.

I was using a trial version of Camtasia 5 to create videos, but then I got a tip for a free copy of Camtasia Studio 3 with registration key from techsmith.com.
If your interested in Camtasia 5, they’ll let you have it for 1/2 price if you Upgrade from version 3. Which you’ll then have.
