Rich's current Twitter status:at wannadu city with family. Having great time
Sorry--had to get my Red Hot Chili Peppers on for a second.
But if you've been with me for while, you know that I'm all about giving stuff away for free...
I believe that's the key to real success. When you give something away, you'll eventually reap the rewards tenfold--or more--while creating a loyal audience of followers who hang on your every word.
And I'm not talking about just "any" stuff. I'm talking about your BEST OF THE BEST.
(Basically, if you're clinging to it with both hands, trying to figure out how much to charge, you should really be handing it out for nothing.)
Because this resonates big-time with your audience. Those who were unsure about you will become fans. Those who were wishy washy followers will now become loyal beyond words. And those who have already bought from you will become your biggest cheerleaders (as well as AWESOME JV Partners).
But I know what you're thinking:
"Rich, if I give everything away, what am I going to sell"?
Patience, young grasshopper.
That will come in time, when you know more about your audience and what they REALLY want...as opposed to what you THINK they want.
And when you do strike that hidden vein of gold, you'll be in a much better position to sell more products, gain an even bigger following, and become the maven in your marketplace that I know you can be.
So with that in mind, I want to give you a little freebie of my own today...
A couple of weeks ago I posted a bunch of video clips from the New Beginnings event in Orlando.
One of the most popular clips was from Product Launch Master Jeff Walker. Jeff offered some killer strategies for crafting a product launch that generates a massive tidal wave of clicks to your Buy Button.
In fact, it was so popular, we decided to give you even MORE of Jeff's jaw-dropping presentation.
So without further adieu, here's a 9 minute chunk of Jeff explaining some of the hidden nuances of a successful product launch.
Just another way of saying "thanks" for your continued support of Strategic Profits.
Enjoy!
Rich

I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t read long sale pages!!!
Jeff provided so many useful tips for me — this came at the right time for me! He gave incredible information on a more credible and genuine alternative to long sales pages.
Thanks Jeff… and thank you Rich for bringing it to us!

Without further ADO (adieu means good-bye in French — literally “To God”).
Unbelievably valuable video, by the way. Just watched Eben Pagan follow this model frame-by-frame for his Guru Mastermind launch.
Yeah, boyeezzz! (Sorry - had to go old school on you!)
Always a great presentation! BTW, the red hot chili peppers line is…
“Give it away, give it away, give it away now…” (repeat)

I love the way Jeff talks about product launches - he manages to make business into literature!
It’s great for me, because I am teaching this stuff to kids, and the stuffed-shirt type explanations just don’t fly!

P.S. My 12-year-old just launched a product recently at http://www.thatinternetgirl.com - I wish she could have seen this video before she did it. I’m sure she’d have made more sales …
Thanks for the useful advice, especially the horror movie analogy
Cheers

Great stuff Rich ! But I was wondering if it as simple as it looks.
Sure Jeff Walker is a pro at creating and launching great products and uses his launch formula to rake in millions.
So it requires 1. A well researched Product that solves a need/problem your customer are looking for a solution.
2. A Great sales letter (written by equally great copywriter) that converts.
3. And then use the launch formula with JV’s with dozens of Guru’s
And you made money !
And if you get any one of these steps wrong you either make less money or worsen you lose money .
Too risky for me with limited time I have to focus on.
And I found a great way to make consistently more money using investment alerts by signing up for a investment membership that offers both long term and short term profits
even monthly profits in all market conditions, by following some simple rules of investing using ‘under the radar’ often insider trading opportunities not known to 99% of investing herd.

I’m learning..
Did you know that YouTube is banned in many countries of the world. That’s right, I can’t access Jeff’s video here in Turkey because we don’t have access to YouTube at the moment. This is because someone posted some content there which Turkish courts deemed to be insulting to Turkey’s founder, which here is a crime.
But many other countries have banned YouTube content too. China doesn’t like YouTube because of people’s comments about the situation in Tibet, and a month or so back Pakistan blocked the site so aggressively that for a while half of the world’s Internet went down.
In a sense YouTube is a victim of its own success. Got something to say and most people will automatically post to YouTube to guarantee the widest coverage. On the other hand, governments for different reasons know this, monitor the service and from time to time block it.
It may be that in the future savvy marketers will start to post to YouTube, and provide a link to an alternative source to ensure the widest possible audience.

Simply great, thank you for making it available to mortals.

I’ve been watching all of Jeff’s PLF2 pre-launch videos. He’s worked out a great alternative method for getting prospects to buy. Makes me wish I had got version 1 of his product launch formula.
Sounds like a terrific system.

You don’t give everything away, but give some prizes and host sweepstakes every so often. Just give something small away. The people will remember you by it, and even the losers will come back checking to see if there is another contest they can win. It is a great marketing strategy. You have to spend money to make money.
China released the ban for youtube today…It looks they finally understand that just blocking youtube is not going to keep stop people from finding out the truth…..I’m sure they were concerned of the tension and “hurt” they would get from the in the international community especially before the olympics for blocking this footage to their own people…these tactics may have worked years ago but not in the information age we live in…injustice in the world will have a long time getting anywhere..
Perfect time for the revolts in Tibet… they have been suppressed for years genocide at its worst….I urge everyone to stop what they are doing do some thorough research on the matter and help spread to word to what’s really going on down there. I’m sure the foreign press are much more objective…

Thanks Rich for making this video available. I have been watching how to videos for months now and while learning I haven’t been doing. In all the videos I notice the one giving the demo is using the default cursors which when moved by a person other than yourself makes them very hard to see. I have got a solution to this and urge you and others giving demo videos to use my RED Cursors which are extremely easy to follow around the screen.
Thanks and keep those training videos coming. They are a great resource for all of us.

Rich,
Well said. I really appreciated everything that your speakers gave at SP Live ‘08 in Orlando in Feb. The person who gave the most, even after hours, was Gary Vaynerchuk (@GaryVee on Twitter). He has his heart in the right place, especially with the 80/20 rule (see GV.com for details). Thanks for introducing us, again. Give it away, give it away, give it away… you nailed it yourself, Rich. Take care. We’re looking forward to the next event. Also following you (tweet).
Regards,
Cheri

Hey Rich, Hey Jeff!
I watched the video as part of the daily posts from the Conference a few weeks back and just watched the full nine minutes. I get it! This is going to change the way I write salespages and do product launches from now on.
Thanks!

There’s different levels of giving away that need to be discussed here.
No matter how much information you give, or give away, more will be needed.
Just don’t work for free.
Sometimes people do think that you get what you pay for, and other times people are smart enough to realize good quality information when they see it.
Frank Kern, Eben Pagen (sp?) Jeff Walker and you, Rich have shown the power of giving away a lot of content for free, but there HAS to be something on the backend to make it all worth your while.
It’s all in the packaging apparently.
This grasshopper is looking for the enlightenment part
Nice short post.
Thanks,
Dan

I’ve learned so much from you guys, it’s almost funny.
Honestly, this “give away” principle is working so well, i can’t stop doing it now hehe.
Thank you, much appreciated!

Rich,
This is a great video! I have primarily been the “long sales letter’ type, but I am going to try Jeff’s approach. I have already been planning the launch of a new info product so I want to see how this works. Thanks!

Thanks Rich. There are so many really good strategies to learn that look small but make a big impact if you do them right.
I signed on to the sign-up page for the 3/26 (today) 7:00pm teleconference… uhhh. I never got an e-mail from Jeff nor you with the phone number to call in for it. Did I miss something here or was there just a glitch?!
Rich,
I was once your protege and now am in Nairobi, Kenya, where NO ONE gives stuff away for free. What I’m seeing is an orchard with low-hanging fruit. To introduce this concept of giving away my best ideas will have a huge impact on the marketplace here. People will think, “If he’s giving that away, what else does he have?”
Thanks for opening my eyes to this new and revolutionary idea.
Hi Rich,
I’m afraid this video is no longer available on Youtube. Is there any way we can watch it online ?
Thanks in advance,
a faithful reader,
Tony
