Yesterday, Jay Abraham and I hosted not one but two intense, mind-blowing, transformational two hour tele-seminars.
Jay was on fire, I was on fire. We could literally FEEL the energy from the thousands of participants on the call and it fueled our fire.
To be honest, I was feeling great about the value we delivered, and the impressive number of participants who decided to join us personally or reserved their home study program for our upcoming Maven Marketing Intensive on February 27,28, and 29th.
But, when I got home Debi (my wife), ruined everything!
You see, she had gotten on the second call and she had some constructive feedback for both Jay and I. Debi said…
Jay and you, Rich, could have done a better job if we…
- Gave participants more actionable items to immediately improve their marketing performance.
- Took at least 3 or 4 of the actionable items and broke them down step by step so by the end of the call the knew exactly what to do.
- Talked less about ourselves and more about how our new strategies could double and then redouble again any business both online and off.
- Made the call shorter, tighter, more focused, and didn’t allow ourselves to go on any unnecessary tangents.
As much as I hated to admit it, she was right.
You see, no one has ever presented information like this before. It’s the first time anyone (Jay and I included) has ever tried to delineate the proper path to pre-eminence in any marketplace.
So, I called Jay and relayed her feedback. Jay agreed, and he insisted we immediately host another call that lived up to Debi’s standards for the two of us. Which is why I am writing this blog post right now.
Jay and I are hosting a new, ready for primetime, re-engineered presentation tomorrow night, Tuesday, at 8:30pm (eastern standard time).
It’s going to be TOTALLY DIFFERENT. We now see the error of our ways. We understand the most powerful discovery is useless if you don’t fully grasp it, don’t know how to apply it, and the payoff you’ll get isn’t clear.
What this means is… whether you were on either call yesterday, you got boxed out after the phone lines got maxed out, or your just hearing about our call for the first time now…
Here’s your second chance to profit from our desire to deliver the maximum value we can. At 8:30pm tomorrow, we are going to just that. We’ll walk you through:
(You can register by clicking here)
- A Fast track path to making and sustaining massive income by doing what you love.
- How to multiply your marketing’s effectiveness by shifting from pitching and interrupting to delivering value and profiting.
- The best positioning you could ever hope for in your market and the most time tested ways to capture it.
Stated more simply, how you can become THE MAVEN of your market, in the shortest amount of time, with the least amount of effort, and the highest certainty of success.
If you were on yesterday’s calls, you should still join us tomorrow night at 8:30 PM because what we did will pale by comparison to what we are about to deliver. And you can register right now by just clicking this: REGISTER
If you tried to get on yesterday’s calls and you got boxed out, we’ve expanded the capacity to 2,000 and your going to get a more comprehensive, action-oriented version than the one you missed. Claim your reserved spot here: RESERVE
Or, if this is the very first time hearing about it – consider yourself lucky for getting word on this incredible call in time. But make sure to register right now, right here: SIGN-UP
In general, I hate back-seat drivers. But, when Debi, my better half is right, she’s right. And you’re the beneficiary.
To higher profits,
Rich Schefren
PS – I am so stoked about the content of our next call. If you listened to the first call and you can get on this one, I’d love to get your feedback about the difference between the two. If tomorrow’s call is your first… I’d still love to hear what you thought afterwards.

Rich,
I am so upset. I had registered for the conference call and had my pin number and all and when I called early, was asked for a conference code. I couldn’t get into the call. Really missed what I am sure was a good thing. Where would I have found information on the conference code? Will you repeat the conference?
Lynn
Hey Rich,
Isnt it amazing how our wives always bring out the best in us even if we have to come kicking and screaming :) Anyway give your wife a hug for us and we cannot wait for the next call.
Michael and Teresa
Hi Rich
I do agree with Debi’s comments but also find it very refreshing that you can take this self-critical approach.
cheers
Warren
As part of the M4 mentor group with Jay am interested to find out more. So am keen to find out how much more I can learn from you guys to take my Creative Coaching business here in Australia further.
Rich this sounds great but it is not at a UK friendly time.
I hope that it will be included in the Business Acceleration Program members section as a download. I see the whole boot camp / home study kit as another exciting opportunity to learn much more.
It is good to see that your wife is keeping you in order.

I’d like to make another suggestion. With places limited and some people having to call at international rates, how about streaming it on here, and/or putting up a recording of it after the call, like Armand Morin did with his latest telesemenars?
Hi Rich,
The reason why I now visit this blog because I wanted to give feedback on that call, and it is very similar to what your wife said. First of all the call started late. Then Jay and you spent approx. 10 minutes saying how excited you were. And you repeated at least five times what people would learn in the second half of the call. Then you started telling us what a maven was in the next 35 minutes and what the benefits were. This was repeated like at least three times. Well, if I did not know what a maven was, why would I be on the call in the first place. So you spend too much time on that too. Then finally you started giving some advice about how to become a maven in your market. However, the steps were muddled, you started with 1 then went into some other direction and never mentioned the other steps, or at least were incapable of at least listing the steps at the end in summary. This is what I got. We had to make 4 shifts: 1. Who you are and what you bring to the table. Then I think 2 was : Fall in love with your market. And then it really got muddled. Some new list came up, real empathy with you market, something about doing research. And then suddenly you made some summary that was not a summary of what had been said before (maybe I dropped off and missed it, although I don’t think so). And those were: confidence, ego strength and curiosity. At the end of the talk for at least 15-20 minutes you started promoting the upcoming event. From the above, I was really sitting there with my paper and pencil, waiting to hear some amazing things, and most of what I heard was really not about marketing, but more about personal development. So I feel a bit apprehensive about spending another 2 hours on a call that is not focused and seemed ill prepared. Good luck with your business in any case.
I’m impressed that you came out and admitted this - especially after your follow up email about you and Jay being “on fire”…because you were NOT on fire.
I too was on that second call - and although I respect the talents that both you and Jay have - you basically wasted your audience’s time.
You wasted their time because you spent virtually the entire call telling them about “what can be”.
Well, guess what? All these people already know what can be.
They all know that they CAN be multi-millionaires and billionaires.
They all know that they can be MAVENS…
It’s the how part they’re looking for.
I hope for their sake, you give them more of the how in your next call.
Rich,
Your wife made some very good points indeed.
I am very grateful for all the information you allowe me to have access to. I have learned a lot.
I have one wish, though. I would very much appreciate if I could access the call through the web. I do not have access to a phone currently since I am not at home but on the move.
I would love to be on this call.
Best wishes
Rolf
Rich,
I am so dismayed. I’ll do my best to be succinct. I signed up for your second call last night. My comments to my husband (who was in your coaching program for the past year) completely mirrored what Deb (your wife) apparently said. Then, you send an email and I sign up for tonight. Only to hear nothing..but yet call again tomorrow. Why waste 40 minutes of my time to reschedule? Why not just send an email and reschedule and save us the 40 minutes? I’m wondering if I’m wasting my time and money. I’ve been to one conference. I’ve entered your competitions. I’ve taken everything I’ve learned piecemeal and implemented it. There is no doubt I am already a so-called “maven” in my local marketplace. Google my name and you’ll find it true. I need to take it to the next level and I’m frustrated with calls that waste my time.
Ahhh…*that’s* why I never heard anything!
Will we get an email telling us when the call has been rescheduled to? Hopefully not to Thursday night @ 5:30 PST; I’ll be listening to a call being done by Frank Kern at that time… :-)
Hey Rich,
while I wasn’t on the call, so can’t actually comment on the details and content myself - you’ve made the right decision.
For most people who aren’t successful yet, they don’t know how to apply what they learn. An action plan and ‘ready to implement’ advice is much handier for them.
Though I do think that the brightest minds on the call have already started implementing. Some people can just make that ‘connection’ needed.
Great to see you listen to your wife and usefull feedback.
-Dave
Hey Rich,
The code for the Wednesday call doesn’t work!???
More apologies forthcoming?
I’ve been trying trying trying to get on the call for tonight and the machine just says “I’m sorry, you have not entered a correct conference code. It is the code in the email you sent. Arrrrrgggghhhhhhh!
make that “I’m sorry, I did not receive a correct conference ID”
Hi Rich
URGENT! 8:30pm call
The conference code you sent in your latest email isn’t working. They say it isn’t valid, so I can’t get on the re-broadcast call.
Can you check this please?
Thanks
Rich,
I’m not pleased or impressed! Please send out the correct code. The one sent out was for yesterday.
Thanks,
Lew
I am not able to get on the call tonight, I get get the same error I’m sorry, I did not receive a correct conference IDâ€
Hey, What’s up with the conference ID? It’s just not working. Been trying for 20 minutes. Same crap. Jeez, I hope I don’t hear how packed the call was! Take care and I hope you get things straightened out. I’m sure you’ll do the right thing because you always do.
verrry frustrating. I missed out on something important tonight to stay and listen to this call which did not happen As everyone said the number wasn’t working and then they said moderater has terminated this call
I tried at 10 till. I tried at 5 till. I tried at 6:30 (Mountain Time) and at 6:32, 33,35, 38,39, 42, 44, 45, and 50. I give up. “I’m sorry, I did not receive a correct conference ID”
Heh.
I changed my ENTIRE schedule to attend the call last night… on the 29th… I pissed my wife off to no avail, because we had tickets to an event, (theater) but I felt it was worth it. When they canceled on us, at the last minute, I was furious. (and too late to get downtown)
“It would take 3 hours, and we want to cover it in two, so we’ll do it tomorrow”.
We’re not worth the extra hour? I just sent you a $2650.00 order on Tuesday. Do you owe me anything more than what I ordered, like this call? Of course not… but for Pete’s sake! Don’t promise what you won’t fulfill.
I changed my schedule tonight (Wednesday) and re-arranged my own conference calls to attend. Only God knows if that cost me $. (it’s likely “how much”, not “if”) I got there early, put in the code, and when it didn’t work, went as far as to call the conference call company.
I was told by accuconference “they aren’t having a call tonight”. The woman told me “the host cancelled and told us to tell people they’ll send out an e-mail”.
They’ll “SEND OUT AN E-MAIL”?!
I’m getting a great education in how “not to become a Maven”.
I couldn’t be more disappointed, and am not a typically a complainer, but what gives?
I’m also quite upset about the course I just ordered.
We were led to believe by the sales page we’d be getting the core components of it now, as well as the “free bonuses”, and could review it before the February conference, in case we wanted a refund. (I don’t care about the guarantee, I’ve never returned a product and never will)
My point, is after ordering, I was told today by customer service that it won’t be shipped until APRIL.
I’m torn now about what to do. One problem, is no problem, but two problems? Three? How much trust can I put forth in these guys?
I SO want to believe these guys are for real, but geebus! Rich? Jay? Can you throw us a bone here?
I would have to say that the combo of Rich and Jay Abraham was been one of the biggest factors of my business success the past couple of years.
First, with Rich’s coaching program, and also using Jay’s Mr. X book. The combo has been invaluable in the field of marketing for me.

Shawn,
I agree. I’m really upset right now, but I agree.
I don’t know much about Rich, but as an avid Dan Kennedy follower and student, I know Jay’s one of the best all-time, and certainly one of the best living marketers. That’s why I dropped everything this week to listen!
However, this is the 1st time I’ve ever seriously looked into their products or services, and although they’ve pretty much monopolized my entire week, I have nothing to show for it.
Monday I was on their conference call (where I bought), then I changed everything and was terribly disappointed yesterday when they cancelled, now tonight’s no show is starting to feel like the “straw that broke the camel’s back”.
::sigh::
I was on the call Sunday, bought the program and have 3 pages of notes.
I agree with Nick that April is a long time to wait and I was disappointed last night and tonight on the reschedules.
All in All
My brain is working overtime absorbing all the concepts and strategies discussed in the 2 hour call. I am coming into the program without a product or service and am 100% convinced that in a reasonable time, I will have built a business selling a product or service from scratch that is very successful.
Gentlemen, You must have made telemarketing history this week - the kind that Harv Eker and Dan Kennedy might elect to use as examples of what not to do.
You had 24 hours to verify that you were sending out the correct conference PIN #, and yet, you failed Marketing 101. Having made adjustments to my schedule, but not the loss of an evening out, I am at a loss for words and shall await Thursdays’ explanation for the no show with curiosity. Hoy vey!
Hi Rich,
I really enjoyed listening to the first teleseminar and I was very excited to hear that you were doing further teleseminars with Jay, however due to the time difference - I live in Israel - I was not able to listen to them. I would like to ask you to put up recordings of ALL the teleseminars on your website so that they can be downloaded and listened to by people whenever they have the time to.
thanks
Daniel
