I’m in a real jam.
Before I tell you what’s up – I want you to know this: We’re going to have two last minute contests with amazing prizes for anyone who’s game for helping us out.
But first let me go back to how it all started, so I can quickly get you up to speed…
You see, even though we hardly promoted our rapidly approaching seminar… word has gotten out. Yep, the cat’s out of the bag. And ever since… we’ve been overwhelmed with emails, calls, faxes, and even a few FedEx letters.

First off… excellent idea about the contest. I cannot wait to attend this event!
I started thinking, after reading your letter, “Why do I deserve to win an all-access VIP pass to your Disney event?â€
Well… first off… I would save myself a lot of money…. about $10,000. That’s what this whole game is about right… money? I could then put that money, that I would have spent on conference, into marketing my site, or taking a vacation… etc.
I got to really thinking about how great it would be to attend this event completely for free… that would be fabulous.

After thinking selfishly for a while, about why I would like to come to this event for free… I started feeling remorseful.
You see… if I win this contest… that means someone else, perhaps more need worthy, would miss out. I started really feeling guilty about my desires to save money.
So… here is what I would do if I win this contest.
I WILL take the money that I have ALREADY PAID, and put it directly in the pockets of a few people that REALLY want to attend this event.
I had such an amazing time at your last event in Delray Beach… that I want to help MORE people come to this event. The line up that you have here is one of the best I have ever seen.
So … here is the deal.

After coming on the web in 2002 with a knife store website (YourKnifeStore.com) dropshiping product from a warehouse in Utha, having a tiny taste of internet success, I got involved w/affiliate marketing in the how to make money on the web community (area-39.com)… I see bouth of those domains are taken by someone else right now because I did let go of them out of fustration. I reached a point of making enough money to stay involved but not enough to brake through and start building a savings plan…

I don’t want to sit through your meandering diatribe in four undocumented videos, when I could have quick searched and found the information I wanted in a quick 45 seconds (in a FAQ).
At some point, the toy-obsessed will figure out that anti-text is anti-customer.
Video is NOT the best solution for everything. It was NOT the best solution to the problem you identified in this post. Video allowed you to be lazy and Rich-centric. What resulted is not viewer-centric.

Everyone is talking about 2008. Everyone is talking about how great their lives are going to be and how much money are they going to make. Where Am I? I believe it doesn’t matter where I am but I deserve to be at Rich’s House (as in Disney) that will transform my Whole Life!

Thank you. I’m already registered for 6 of the seven days, and didn’t actually know about the private workshops till today. As you know, I pressed hard, demanding your attention, and worked it through to get there. I’m so determined I was on a tare…and here’s why: I am a loaded canon ball, awaiting the lighting of the fuse. I have long arms and will light it when I am loaded with the gun powder I’ll get at the conference/boot camp.
I am already the “go to” person in my local market, but a big fish in a small pond, jumping at the chance to swim with the dolphins in the ocean of opportunity.
I deliberately didn’t settle for the home study because I already know enough about myself to know how I best learn and what motivates me. I’m lunging at the bait, knowing that I’m on the cusp of a huge shift that will ignite that fuse and launch me. Pardon the mixed metaphors, I’m so excited about going I can barely sleep.

“Actually I’m packing stuff up and deciding what to toss or donate to Salvation Army.”
“Why now? The bugs that live under your desk will just get confused.”
“I’m meeting with Quan later to tell him I’m resigning. Hey watch it so you don’t spill any more of your tea. Here, use this to soak it up before the stain sets.”
“Geez, what happened? Did you get a new job you didn’t tell me about? This isn’t about your business thing that you’ve been working on is it? Anyway, you can’t go since I’m supposed to beat you out of here.”
“Remember all that money I told you I put into learning how to build my business the past few years? And that joint venture I got into with that guy in England a few months ago? That contest I won back in February where I got a meeting with those high dollar business consultants? Well it all finally came together and the product launch we did went well enough that my partner and I are both able to quit our day jobs.”
“Oh man, congratulations I guess. Who am I going to talk to in the morning? You can’t go, I don’t want you to go, this place will drive me even crazier than I already am with you gone!”
“I’ve told you all along that once the biz took off that I’d need a take no prisoners manager to help run it for me. You tell me what you need and I’ll put together a package for you.”

I am certain about one thing, the interent is only going to get bigger, and I want to be ahead of the wave when people start the rush and finally realize that the internet is the absolute future. I know that this conference can help me to jump ahead and stay ahead!
My mind is set at ease by numbers, so when you and Jay A. talk about the success stories, that’s what really gets me excited and wanting to achieve. The only stories that really get my attention are the ones that talk about the money they have made and in what time period.
I know that some are false on some sites (not yours), but that is what gets me going. Money is not the motivator, but it’s the tool that I need to get what I want. Oh, here is more of what I want:
1. Help my Mom and Dad to retire.
2. Get into a life where work is optional, not required.
3. Be able to travel when the mood hits.
4. I want a large house with all the things I’ve always dreamed of playing with.
5. I want my 3 dream cars (Bentley GT, BMW SUV, Lincoln Navigator)
6. Most of all, I want to fix the parent uninvolvement in the education system. It’s not the school system (I’m a teacher), it’s the parent inability to care for their child’s future.

Your purpose for winning really sound all about yourself, is it not? Then (count the number of times in your letter or reason for winning how many times you used the word “I”) !
Winners help others become winners. Have you heard the saying when you help enough people get what they want you will have what you want. Hint - this event may need more people, maybe you could ask Rich is there a way you could help at the event or prior to the event to get more people to attend!
One more thing your dreams can be accomplished - try to begin thinking about solving a problem for others or businesses and you will eventually get those fancy cars among the other things you want. Also you may want to have in your vision the millionaire calculations formula. If you are not familiar with this formula let me know and I will email it to you ok!
Wow! My first and last goals in my list were to help my parents retire, and help to correct the educational system breakdown. Yet, your comment makes me seem “greedy”.
I want a lot and cannot apologize for that but my whole business is all about helping others, mainly free of charge.

As an adult, I volunteered at a shelter for battered women and children, and one task I would do would be to take some children out of the shelter for 2 or 3 hours on a Saturday or Sunday. I figured I should learn self-defense and defense of people with me (for obvious reasons). So I enrolled at a karate school with a focus on self-defense, taught by a former Sheriff (not a black-belt-in-a-box-school graduate).
One day, I’m practicing my high kicks in front of the mirror, and I was losing my balance with each kick. The teacher watched me for a few minutes, then said, “Turn your other foot this way before you throw your kick.” I did and BOOM! I looked like Bruce freakin’ Lee (or Chuck Lidell, depending on your era of choice). I told him I was impressed, and he said “That’s what you pay me for. To correct your mistakes so you can get out of your own way and end up teaching yourself.”
The seminar you have developed features the best TEACHERS in the industry (and defies the old “Those who can, do; those who can’t, teach” - your lineup CAN and CAN TEACH). The point of your seminar is for the attendees to not simply LEARN stuff, and not even to DO stuff, but to LEARN how to TEACH themselves FROM their businesses, so that they can develop and grow more businesses in the future.
When I work with clients, I tell them up front that I will help solve their short term problem, but my GOAL is a solution that will be viable and active 5 or 10 years from now. I am using the BAP to develop and expand my original idea of creating a library for fathers who don’t have custody of their children. I see the potential for more than just 6 eBooks (my original idea). I see coaching programs, membership sites, newsletters, seminars. I see linking these products to helping relationships in general (families are better together than divorced, and are better without violence and abuse). The seminar can solidify and develop this plan, and add the value that will help not only the direct customers, but have a ripple effect on their families, friends, and communities.

Why Jeremy Wong, the Maven of Mavens, should Win.
This is a story about a boy, and his passion, his vision and his philosophy.
19 years old; age, something I never thought would be a determinant of success, but this had inspired many, and brought many to watch in awe at the boy who knew so much for the short time he had spent in this magnificence that is Life.
Many told him of how he had enlightened them, how he had saved the people who lived a life of mediocrity, a life about mere survival, a life without fulfillment; for these people grew up with others who didn’t know better, the others who told them that their dreams were too big, the others who told them that they had no control over their lives when they gave up before they even tried controlling it themselves.
These people just never realized they could live a life like the few who they deemed ‘lucky’, the few who made it because they would have had a ‘miracle’ happen to them - the few such as Bill Gates, Bob Proctor, Anthony Robbins and Rich Schefren. Little did they know that if they never tried, they would never ever get there, and little did they know of how so much more they had compared to these successful people during their humble beginnings.
…but it was only until the boy came and showed them the way, and showed them that they could shape their destiny.
He gave them something worthy to live for, and with it came the excitement that life was meant to have, and he showed them how they can be so much more than they thought they would ever be. He made them realize at how it was possible to become anything in this time where they could learn anything, do anything and be anything; of how they could use their very two eyes with books filled with information to achieve the things they never realized was possible, of how they could do things that would bring them closer to where they wanted to be and that was nothing to stop them, and that they were only giving themselves excuses to justify their flawed perceptions of how they cannot be successful, flawed because they didn’t see that there was every reason they could.
The boy’s passion - to help others live their lives with passion because he had felt it himself, and he only wanted others to experience the miracle that he had, but for what reason, he doesn’t know. The euphoria that followed from helping others showed him how it was something he would do for nothing in return, and it would be why he did it; and why not when it helped others?
These people fight so hard for themselves to barely survive… how would they ever have enough give to others when they hardly had anything for themselves?
The boy; he would help them realize at how much they could get, and helped them create a life where it was possible to get everything beyond what they would ever need, and these people would then give so much back to the world because now they could with the abundance that surrounds them.
How?
He used the one thing that would help them achieve just that - Business.
His Business Philosophy - That Business’ greatest purpose and it’s real beauty is in the leverage it can create, leverage it creates in your ability to help others - that business can help you help so much more than you could ever alone, that it is the vehicle that will help you contribute more than you could ever without it. Business gives you the power to help millions, more than you would ever if you did it with your finite body that is limited by the finite resource that is time.
It is about giving as many people the feelings that life deserved nothing less of, Joy and Fulfillment, and creating a better life for these people.
…but business is also about taking; for it is only when you value yourself that others will value you and what you give them. It is also only right to allow people to repay you for what you have given them, and it will only fulfill them to know that they have given you something that you deserve so much.
Deep down, everyone wants to give, and this boy shows them just how possible it is to do just that, and how they can live their lives doing what they love - with business. He leverages their intention to give and amplifies it for them, and gives them the power to give so much more and get back so much in return.
Helping others to help others to help others - and it goes on forever; his vision to change the world for the better lays in this foundation. He would help others find abundance for themselves and in turn, create more abundance for others, who would then give more of it to even more people, and it goes on… and on…
…and imagine how much faster this would all happen when he is given the ticket that would catalyze all of which has already been moving so fast, and turn this boy’s vision into a reality.
I am that boy.
…and why I deserve to win.
I will not just become a maven myself, because I will spread this gift of knowledge to the lives that I touch, the lives that I change and for the cause that will give so much more to the world. I will create mavens that will amplify the effects of knowledge you have given me beyond what any one maven will ever achieve alone.

I have worked in the Printing Industry for over 20 years now. Mostly in the design area. I have been saying for the past 10 years now that Printing is a dieing trade. And as for the past few years it appears that I have been right. For one reason, as you know, people are turning to the internet for their information and advertising. My job ended a few months ago because the shop I worked in had to cut back due to failing business. I decided that was it, I have to do something else. I have wanted to work for myself for a while now, so why not look into the best possible answer! Since then I have been searching for everything I could possibly find on internet businesses. I have researched so many at home business opportunities, learning how to put together web pages and how to make money with them, etc. Finding that so many of them have been dead ends. Mostly because they take you so far, then leave you hanging out there! You have to read through so much bull that you can’t get the true idea of what they are trying to tell you. Then I happened up on the ‘Early to Rise’ newsletter, with all the Gurus that have offered out enough free information to let you know that what they have actually makes since. I’m more willing to invest in their information, and it has all been positive!
Having said all of this. I am new to all the internet selling and so have been studying everything I can get my hands on. Heck, I even bought ‘Internet for Dummies’!!!!
It all makes since to me. But, I realize that before I jump completely into all of this, I need to know more. I have all the pieces, but can’t seem to figure out how to put it together just right. Exactly how to get started!

No one deserves this more than I do. I am sure a lot of people come pretty close, and I don’t mean to be dismissive of their committment and their personal growth, however I Rock and I am sure I would win this contest against anyone out there if we were to compare: committment, drive, growth

I have worked diligently for the last three and a half years to remove myself from a negative life. I have done emotional work to understand where I have come from and turned it all around with positive affirmations and belief in myself and my abilities.
Over the past year and a half I have registered for untold e-books, e-newsletters and e-zines. I have listened to most free teleseminars out there, including Suzee Millers Fung Shui series this very month. I have feng shui’d my home and my personality. I have affirmed to myself my innate goodness and my right to succeed.
In otherwords I have done what you all seem to be teaching and am now poised on Ready and Raring to go. I have gone as far as I can on freebies and am already stepping up to the plate financially, though I live on a Social Security income. I have changed my lifestyle to free up some of my income to

My background before I became unable to work in 1987 was Product Marketing. I went from a filing clerk making $3.10hr to the Marketing Manager on the A.M.D. desk at the Seattle Branch of a major Electronics Distributor and back to the same job in Silicon Valley the very heart of electronics at a base salary of over $35,000 with bonuses and commissions and an expense account on top of that, in a very short period of time. I have been successful before, then I let my life circumstances define and reduce me.

I have been marketing to my niches helping single fathers realize that they have someone that is in the trenches with REAL WORLD experience that can guide them in raising their child or children artfully, as I like to say
There is so much material for single moms and our culture celebrates the single mom while the single dad is not taken as seriously. But I am here to tell you that being a single father with FULL CUSTODY of his children, raising them on my own without the help of their mother definitely gives me the insight on how to raise a child, while doing it artfully.
It’s important to help the single dads of today and provide them with information, products and consultations in order provide them with the knowledge on how to do this. It’s important for them to have resources to rely upon to help them achieve their goals of raising a healthy child.
Because of my techniques, both of my kids are now in college and are two of the most respectful, responsible and reliable individuals I know even if they were exposed to the same societal pressures that all other kids live through. It’s just in knowing how to apply these thechniques is how it’s done.
With your guidance, training and mentorship, I absolutely know that my expertise will reach more and more single dads so I can mentor them to raise kids artfully, producing adults that have the skills to express a positive life, thus raising the peace potential of the planet.

I’m not really sure what I should say to show you why I seriously deserve to win this “contest”.
So, I guess I’ll shoot from the hip and let my honesty show through
… whether that’s a good thing or not… I guess we’ll only know if I’m sitting in a window seat on United Airlines on my way from beautiful Portland, Oregon to Florida on February 23rd to finally push through that wall and reach my business and life goals.
My name is Trevor, and currently I’m living in Portland, Oregon. Not really by choice… but mostly because my wife was able to get into an awesome Physicians Assistant graduate program here in Portland. She graduates this August and I can’t wait to get out of this rain
We moved up there right out of college. I graduated with degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship… and actually won the Presidents Cup Award for Entrepreneurship at my college for the “promise and leadership” I showed in Entrepreneurship while at college.
The award sounds cool… but I found out it really means squat once you get out in the real world.
I’ve never held a real job where I’ve worked for someone else in my life… unless you count the family business that I worked in since I was 10. While in college I bought my first rental property (4 unit apartment building), which I still have today.
When we moved up here to Portland, I set the goal that I would never work for anyone in my life… but I had no clue how I would do that.
I did know that I would run my own business and real estate would be involved somehow… but things really weren’t all that clear then.
So, to make rent money I asked people I knew here in Portland how their businesses were doing… and then went on to show them how I could help them grow their businesses with my marketing “consulting”.
I’d never done any real world marketing in my life… but somehow I was able to talk these people into retaining me for marketing.
Over the next 12 months…
I somehow got hooked on the internet and the possibilities of building a business online that could get me where I wanted to go.
I learned how to build websites, then learned how to do a bit of online marketing, now I’m really getting into videos and using the social media to create immediate income streams and to build more sustainable web traffic.
Anyhow, I melded my love of real estate investing (I still invest in real estate to this day… I’m 25 now) and the internet and created a “hobby” website called The REI Brain.
Ya, kind of a weird name… but I meant for it to portray two things.
1. A large collective resource of real estate investing and business building resources (hence the brain).
2. I found out that 95% of real estate investors fail within the first 5 months… and I discovered that it was mainly because they didn’t use solid life success principles or solid business building and growth principles. They think that they can learn a few techniques… and they’ll be good.
Anyhow, in the first 12 months of this website I piddled around with it not really paying too much attention to it. I had several marketing clients which were paying the bills… and didn’t really put a whole lot of attention to it.
But, I kept gravitating back to The REI Brain because people kept finding the site and emailing me about how great of a resource it was becoming (to me… it seemed like just another crappy website).
The site visitors said they appreciated the fact that I focused on giving them free content… rather than shoving home study courses down their throats (this was before the whole Eban Pagen “free line” thing) that werent’ worth the paper they were printed on.
So, I kept on giving them quality, free, and actionable content that would help them actually put to action what they are learning…
… and traffic kept growing.
Now, this takes us up to today.
In late November I signed on another marketing client, which gave me a bit of “play” money to pour into my passion, The REI Brain. The money I’m bringing in with my consulting business isn’t a whole lot at all… I’m more looking at it as a way to pay the bills while I build my online business and passion.
I’ve hired an awesome web guy (another young kid… he’s 23 and does awesome work) to finally build The REI Brain into my vision. Up to this point, everything on The REI Brain was created and designed by me… which is at best mediocre web design.
So, the new site redesign is set to launch in late February, and I have about 300% more content to upload once the site redesign is complete… and have 2 product Ideas I will get going on next month… both focused on providing huge value and helping people finally take action and reach their life’s dreams through real estate.
Traffic is almost doubling every month for the last 3 months… and it’s now up to almost 600 unique’s a day (not a lot for some people… but a huge victory for me).
This is something that I just can’t ignore anymore
It’s so exciting to see my passion coming to life… especially since up to this point I’ve really only put a half ass effort into it… and under $100 invested.
With 2008, I set some specific goals for The REI Brain.
- To grow traffic to 1,000 uniques a day by April (getting there)
- To make $500 in profits in January (I made $568)
- To make $1,000 in profits in February (to date, I’ve made $392… on track)
- To make $5,000 a month in profits by August
- To create it as the single go to resource for actionable, unbiased, complete, and real life real estate investing, life success, and business building resource for new and struggling real estate investors
- To create an honest voice in the real estate investing industry that people can trust… and not wonder if they are going to get ripped off by some guru
- To create no less than 50 free audio teleseminars with real life real estate investors (no guru’s), real estate business builders, and life success experts
I have a ton more goals for The REI Brain and my small network of websites, but I don’t want to bore you.
Over the past several weeks, I’ve been taking every opportunity to read and listen to your Maven Marketing free info. I know that I can be the maven in the real estate investing industry as the honest, unbiased, and trustworthy source for actionable resources.
I was thinking about it…
…and I truly want to become the “Strategic Profits” of the “life success through real estate investing” industry.
- No fluff
- No dishonesty
- No tricks
- No selling out to make a buck
- No get rich quick crap,
- No hiding behind a website as a nameless faceless phantom.
I think people are tired of getting jerked around when it comes to real estate investing education… tired of the hype promising “make $400,000 on my first deal in 20 days with no mondy down”… people need to finally learn the entire package of what it takes to succeed.
