What an amazing video from my favorite marketing mentor on speed reading! A very ingenious (and tiring) process. Sharing this out with my friends on Facebook – everyone please take a look! – I’ll never look at a stair stepper the same way :)

Thank you for detailing how you stay on top of the knowledge summit like you do.  It makes sense why your products are always on the cutting edge when you understand what you do.  A person who won’t write it out doesn’t have much of a chance.  Capturing your thinking is that important

Wow! Great stuff. My process is somewhat similar save that I don’t rip up the books or read them while exercising (I listen to the audio version at between 1.75 and 2.5 times the normal speed instead). Really phenomenal. I’ll ‘chew’ on your process and see if there’s anything I can take away. Thanks for a very educational post!

I start by skimming through the book reading the headings of each chapter, and reading the first sentence of every paragraph.  I skip the articles (a, an, the) and words, sentences or paragraphs that elaborate on the topic of that chapter or section.  I use highlighters and take notes on the side margin.  That’s it.
