Get Famous… in 66 seconds or less!

      Published in Blog

    • Gadzooks!
I’ve got an incredible contest with big prizes to tell you about. But first, a quick update…

It really is insane over here. Over 30,000 entrepreneurs have downloaded The Doctrine Part 2 already, there’s been over 7,300 downloads of the interview I did with Gary Vaynerchuk, and more and more blogs are linking to us by the hour.

To top things off, the phone has been ringing non-stop, the emails are flooding in and we’ve even had a few curious readers show up at our offices. The pressure has been so intense we’ve even lost a few staff members.

That’s because to stay ahead of the curve we’ve been putting in crazy hours. Even a few all-nighters.

Anyway, late last night… while chowing on delivered pizza with the crew, Alan had an idea…

We needed to do something special to motivate readers of The Doctrine to actually take action on what we’ve already gone over.
Ken suggested we hold a contest with some killer prizes.

Anna and Lauren thought it should revolve around video based on the incredible excitement about The Gary Vaynerchuk interview.
So we all decided - Let’s make it a video contest. Here’s why…

I am so impressed by what Gary achieved using social media, and I know many of you can do something similar - except for one thing. Can you guess what that is?

      You’ve got to get STARTED!

So here’s my best effort to ethically bribe you to start creating videos…

A Video Contest With Killer Prizes!

We’re giving away FOUR Grand Prize Packages (so there will be FOUR winners).

The four Grand Prize winners will get:

VIP Access To Rich Schefren & Jay Abraham Seminar

Grand Prize Package Prize 1 0f 4: VIP Access to Rich Schefren
      and Jay Abraham Seminar

A VIP Access pass to attend a private seminar with me — and my mentor Jay Abraham — in Orlando, Florida.

(Think about it: Jay’s marketing strategies create more mavens than anyone else on the planet. Bar none. Plus, I’ve built businesses for more mavens than anyone else on the planet. Together we’re the maven-making dream team. That’s why it’ll be pricey, it’ll sell out, and it’ll happen just one time.)

Entry to 5-Day Strategic Profits Live! In Orlando, Florida

Grand Prize Package Prize 2 0f 4: Free Entry to Strategic Profits Live!
      Conference

Plus each Grand Prize winner’s VIP pass will give them entry to the entire 5-day Strategic Profits Live! event in Orlando, including a room in a top Disney hotel.

Free Copy Of Business Acceleration² Program

Grand Prize Package Prize 3 0f 4: Business Acceleration Program

A free copy of my soon-to-be-released home-study course, the Business Acceleration Program…

      $1,000 Cash

      Grand Prize Package Prize 4 0f 4: $1,000 Cash

And for good measure, I’ll throw in $1,000… just for spending money.

It will be your chance to get your 15 minutes of fame (just like Andrea and that crazy Belgian Winston).

You’ll help me by spreading the word about The Doctrine, and you’ll play a key role in making marketing more friendly.

Plus, you’ll have honed your chops with a new valuable skill. You’ll be able to do Web 2.0 videos anytime you want… and leverage them (like our $50 million friend Gary has) for your own business growth.

And that’s really the point of this contest, to start USING what we’ve been talking about in The Doctrine 2.

What I want you to do is create a video to tell the world about your biggest “ah-ha” moment (or moments) from reading The Doctrine Part 2…

But there’s a catch: You have to deliver your entire message in just 66 seconds… Yes, you read that correctly: 66 seconds.
And 60 seconds is the maximum time you can spend on your Doctrine Part 2 video summary…

So, what about the other six seconds?

Well that’s for your “call to action” to get viewers to check out The Doctrine 2 right away.

      To put it more simply:

Create a 60 second video summary of the biggest takeaways you got from The Doctrine Part 2…

Then take the extra six seconds to get viewers to claim their own copy of The Doctrine at www.strategicprofits.com/doctrinenew
You can create your video message any way you choose… Do a sock puppet show, shout it out loud, create an animated talking lizard, use your kids, or just be yourself. Just be passionate and get creative!

And, oh yes, your 15 minutes of fame…

This is your big chance to piggyback on my attention while turning others on to The Doctrine 2! (we’re getting over 3,000 unique visitors a day to the blog alone)

Here’s why: We’re going to post your video on our blog. Then we’ll send a mailing to our list of over 150,000 subscribers asking them to come to the blog to vote on the videos.

Once the votes are in, We’ll have a vote here at the office - and we’ll combine the results and announce one Grand Prize winner from EACH of these categories:

      Most Humorous… Most Informational… Most Compelling…. Most OUTRAGEOUS…

Remember, the four Grand Prize winners will EACH get:

      • A VIP Access pass to attend a private seminar with me, Rich Schefren… and my mentor Jay Abraham… in Orlando, Florida.
      • (We’re the maven making dream team. That’s why it’ll be pricey, it’ll sell out, and it’ll happen just one time. But you’ll be our VIP guest, including the entire 5-day event and a room in a top Disney hotel.)
      • A free copy of my soon-to-be-released home study course, the Business Acceleration Program…
      • And for good measure, I’ll throw in $1,000… just for kicks.

      But that’s not all…

SUPER GRAND PRIZE - Las Vegas Networking Trip

SUPER GRAND PRIZE: Las Vegas Networking Trip

There will be one SUPER GRAND PRIZE winner chosen from the top four videos… that in addition to the prizes above…will be going to Las Vegas for a fun-filled long weekend of gambling, partying and high-level networking with our top five affiliates from our multi-phase launch. You’ll get everything you need to party like a rock star, including air fare from any US city.

(think about the networking you can do - we’re talking about my top 5 affiliates - men and women responsible for selling millions of dollars worth of my products!)

Sound like fun? I think so…

Are you game for this challenge? We’ll find out soon enough…

      The Rules

I’ve posted the rules and all the details you need to know on a separate page you can access below:

Click to access “66 Seconds Video Contest” rules.

      The contest officially begins now.

Ladies and Gentlemen start your engines…

100s of you will get your 15 minutes of fame.

4 of you will win the grand prize. And…

1 lucky winner will win it all and develop the contacts to birth an 8 figure business overnight.

      To higher profits,
      Rich Schefren

P.S. So what do you think about our video contest? Have any ideas that would make it even better? Are you going to post a video? Post a comment now and let me know.

      Hey Rich,

I been going through courses with AWAI, and been in trying to market on line for a while now with not much luck. But love your stuff and have been following it as much as I can.

After 15 years in the mortgage business and that taking a dump… it’s about time I jump in this business 100%. Having a GREAT guru like you in my corner would be the best thing that could ever happen to my family and me. Who ever wins this is going to be the luckiest person in the whole world. Pick me! ;]

Michael, Read your blog note to Rich, and that you are coming from the mortgage business. Have you checked
out the Money Merge Account from United First Financial yet–a web-based software in its 3rd iteration which teaches mortgage holders, commercial and residential, how to pay off their mortgages in 1/3 to 1/2 the time with
no more monthly expenses, using existing banking tools much smarter.

I became an Agent last June, and am learning how to market the MMA over the internet. Would love to have some company. Check out the corporate website,
      www.unitedfirstfinancial.com and my website

Agents are paid a compensation modeled after the insurance industry, and it is very lucrative. It has revived many a mortgage broker business.

It looks as if you have a Utah phone # and you’re talking about not having any company in the business? I’m in Oregon hooked up with folks in Nevada that are exploding with UFirst by using automated lead generating and GoToMeeting to work with recruits and clients across the country. Let me know if you want to know who’s doing what.

      Gee,

I am not motivated by anything you say. You are a con man. Take me and make me a believer. You can separate people from their money by polishing turds and trying to pass them off as rare gems, but they are still turds.

We will do something ethical that is not polishing turds. If we can do that and make money then I will be a believer, unwise it is lies by an unethical pathalogical liar.

So much for your contest and your promises. I even have an MBA so I am not as stupid uninformed as people who read this junk and somehow believe a word you say.

maybe you should spend your time doing all the other stuff to boost your on line business income like, SEO work on your site(s), polishing your copy writing and, dare I say, people skills. None of Rich’s materials are mandatory reading.

Just a thought as you are obviously motivated by other things.

You seem upset by a so awesome work that move +150.000 busy guys around the world, and make them give their attention… even MBA owners like me - too.

I don’t know much about you, but i just have a question: What’s your bottom line ?

Or maybe, the objective of this post was to get our attention?! If yes, great! you got it.

      Be awesome.

      Hey Ralph,

Nice approach but, with a MBA it is “unwise” not to edit; “otherwise” it was great.

You’re an idiot… I highly doubt you have an MBA, unless you belong to the master bastard association. Your negavtive outlook without a doubt is hindering your success. If you could lose the attitude, you might have a better chance at enjoying this business. Just my 2 cents!

The comment from Ralph Dreifus shows his heart is in the right place. As long as his head follows it he should do fine. Question. How can someone acheive a MBA, without the ability to express himself in a manner consistant with that designation? Is this person simply being lazy or are his lack of writing skills his worse attribute?

Just a pet peeve of mine…

This is a great idea. Before I read this I had brought my video camera to my office yesterday. I did a little work on editing my son in his school play and now I am ready to make my first video. I am a clinical psychologist and I feel that video is my best medium. I have done about 40 or so TV interviews before as well as numerous public presentations. I have tried to use local TV news to get me the same exposure, but the video blog is easier, gives me more control, and I can do it without lobbying the local TV news to get me on. So, here I go.

      Thanks for the idea.

Excellent contest. The thing I really like about it, other than the prize, is that it is going to get people to do something that they haven’t done before. It is going to broaden their skills and move them out of the comfort zone. Very cool even if you don’t win the big loot. So that just means I have to figure out how to use the web cam on my MacBook. Never had a reason to before now…

Good Luck to everyone, should be fun to see what comes out of it, heaps of Entertainment at the very least I’m sure..

      P.S.

As for Ralph’s Comment, Calling all of us “Stupid” for following what Rich has to say, You don’t need an MBA to know who to listen to for very obvious reasons…
      * And we are far from stupid doing so! Thanks!

And if Rich can’t motivate you, well..what can I say?

I thought the Doctrine 2 was really well written, and quite convincing, but over blown. The information wasn’t really NEW or even fresh, but the presentation was nice. Basically it was a 93 page self promotion. The whole thing was a sales letter! Nothing NEW there. You’ll get my support when there are no more hooks, and you provide something educational, of real value, without smoke & mirrors. “Come on down.”!

This is for all the MAVENS, HUCKSTERS, and CON ARTISTS that want to fleece whomever they can get to read their self absorbed garbage. You take their money, time, energy & and give less than NOTHING in return, you are worse than thieves.
Get yourself a mirror, strike that coy marketing pose, and sell yourself on becoming human. Sell something of value.

      hey MOOCHY,

do you successfully sell anything on the web?
      probably not.
anyone who would waste their time to come here and spout off like you isn’t very busy with their business.

#1 this is a freakinfenominal opportunity for any internet marketer

#2 Rich’s Manifesto and Doctrine were the two most solid reports that this industry has seen, ever!

If it didn’t lead up to him promoting himself or an event, then he really wouldn’t be a marketer/guru/consultant at all.

Should he have released this document signed “Anonymous”???

      Victory,

Perhaps I was off the mark with my comments, and there is some fulfilling and meaningful information out there. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to see a coherent, step by step blueprint that would enable a rank beginner like me to create his desire in a reasonable time frame. If you or Rich have such a plan, I’m sure that the 96% of all IM’s that fail would throw their $$$$$$$ at you. Since you both have such expertise, put your money where your mouth is to create such a product. Allow us dummies to get into the game and then really make some serious CASH. The more the merrier!
Bring us all along & you won’t be able to count the money. Never mind, I’ll do it myself. Everybody in this world deserves to have these tools all in one place, and get a real product that is complete and works. TALK ABOUT A MAVEN…………

ps Nice Picture, you coy devil.

      Hang tight, M00chy,

I’m working on something that’s meant to do EXACTLY that because I’ve found it exasperating that my peers haven’t DONE exactly that.

Sometimes, I’ll pay $7-$27 for a new ebook, full well knowing that it’s going to be 99% fluff, just because I know how to mine 1 or 2 good ideas from it and then combine them with ideas I already use to make more powerful results.

But I don’t buy the book thinking that the book will have some kind of amazing solutions. The last 2 I bought were utter garbage.

The thing with my peers is that what they create, at their higher level, is only 85% fluff, so the average marketer thinks they’re getting something extra special and lords over the marketer. Like when people call firemen, police and military - HEROES. And those people readily admit, “Hey, we’re just doing our job…”

Well, these marketers aren’t heroes, or great, or awesome, or even generous. They’re marketing, and you should really know that by now. They’re not here to save you. They’re not here to enlighten you or to make you a better person but they will talk about those things in order to keep you on the ropes.

You, or someone else, was absolutely right when they said that if my peers really wanted to wow the world and get their message out, they’d take their 5-10 most die-hard skeptics and show them how it’s done. Then they’d have a big mouth, blowhard, successful joint venture partner for life.

Why haven’t they figured this out yet?

It’s too big a risk and plenty of cash is already coming in. I guess you get thrown to the wolves, M00chy. But keep your eyes opened anyways. I really do understand what you need.

      M00chy,
your idea of transforming your skeptics sounds great. Maybe Sam will take you on. Personally I run a small operation and have a waitlist of new projects and clients. I have the luxury to only work with people I know I can help in a big way and that I’d enjoy working with. It’s taken me years to get to this place in life, mostly a perspective shift to value quality of life over money, although because of it, I now make even more money! This comes down to Rich’s “do what you love so you can be the best at it” idea. With my clients, success is guaranteed or they don’t pay. In that way I have no dissatisfied clients.

you said, “Bring us all along & you won’t be able to count the money. Never mind, I’ll do it myself. Everybody in this world deserves to have these tools all in one place, and get a real product that is complete and works. TALK ABOUT A MAVEN…”

Sounds like a great start for the next underdog I.M. champion. You could be the next Yaro Starak. Oops, guess you’d need Rich for that. Anyway, you’ve got something there.

      Hey Sam Freedom,

your “Internet Marketing Controversy Blog” is really great. But I’m willing to bet you’re hiding behind your uncle sam animation in your contest video.

I bet you won’t show us your real face!

If you are the real savior of the I.M. wannabe then come out from behind that mask.

      Hi Victory,

I’m going to try to be nice to you since it seems to me you’re just a little more than naive.

First, I wasn’t serious about making a video. If you read my prior comments, you should have understood. Second, you’re not in high school any more where taunting someone to do something unless they want to appear to be “chicken” might have once worked.

Third, this “hiding” is what someone more understanding than you would call “branding.” In fact, just this month, I got 25 more links to my blog without even trying (the 25 isn’t the big part, it’s the “without even trying”).

Fourth, being a public figure might seem awesome to the star-struck wanna-be’s who almost always leap before they look but when your goal is “financial freedom” and you seek to maximize the results of your efforts, appearing in videos and playing savior aren’t necessary.

Fifth, “IM Savior” was your choice of words but if we use your rationale, then it would be up to the savior as to what time and place to appear and not your novice ass. I believe even Jesus, when asked, “Are you King of the Jews?” replied along the lines of, “That’s what they call me.”

If IM Savior is what you want to call me, then so be it.

Lastly, Victory, if you can pull yourself up out of the high school level taunting and have issue with something I’ve said, in particular, then tell me what that is so that we may discuss the facts together, in order that any who wish, for themselves, may then verify.

Truth be told, victory, if you keep up that kind of silly taunting, I might recommend you get an alias of your own. Then you can work towards presenting issues that can be intelligently discussed while you make your silly mistakes.

      Best regards,
      Sam

It is a great idea just like all your other ones. Rich you are the greatest. I just wish I could participate but I am not into videos yet. Perhaps later when I can get over the wrinkles cracking the camera. Things are looking up for me tho. I finally got my pages listed and available for my viewers. A great accomplishment for a young 85 year old lady. I will work on my autoresponder this afternoon. I will get this thing off the ground, you will see. I didn’t know what JV was. Shows you how ignorant I was. I am learning. I wish I could participate in your game. I know I could learn a lot from you. Anyway I will be praying for the other ones who participate. And for you too Rich. God bless you.

Hey Mary - you’d be surprised at how many people would love to see you in person on a video. It’s really easy. Just ask a neighbor’s kid or maybe your grandchildren to help you set it up.

Never to late to be a ‘movie-star’~

      Rich,

I don’t even have video equipment, but I’m not about to let that stop me. I plan on having a video ready, one way or another by Saturday.

Got any dog bones or crumes for unemployed, poor people, with computers that can not do video? I know, no pay , no play. Being disabled sucks. Good luck with your program. It sounds like a winner.
