How can someone acheive a MBA, without the ability to express himself in a manner consistant with that designation? Is this person simply being lazy or are his lack of writing skills his worse attribute?

This is a great idea. Before I read this I had brought my video camera to my office yesterday. I did a little work on editing my son in his school play and now I am ready to make my first video. I am a clinical psychologist and I feel that video is my best medium. I have done about 40 or so TV interviews before as well as numerous public presentations. I have tried to use local TV news to get me the same exposure, but the video blog is easier, gives me more control, and I can do it without lobbying the local TV news to get me on. So, here I go.

Excellent contest. The thing I really like about it, other than the prize, is that it is going to get people to do something that they haven’t done before. It is going to broaden their skills and move them out of the comfort zone. Very cool even if you don’t win the big loot. So that just means I have to figure out how to use the web cam on my MacBook. I thought the Doctrine 2 was really well written, and quite convincing, but over blown. The information wasn’t really NEW or even fresh, but the presentation was nice. Basically it was a 93 page self promotion. The whole thing was a sales letter! Nothing NEW there. You’ll get my support when there are no more hooks, and you provide something educational, of real value, without smoke & mirrors. “Come on down.”!
This is for all the MAVENS, HUCKSTERS, and CON ARTISTS that want to fleece whomever they can get to read their self absorbed garbage. You take their money, time, energy & and give less than NOTHING in return, you are worse than thieves.

Perhaps I was off the mark with my comments, and there is some fulfilling and meaningful information out there. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to see a coherent, step by step blueprint that would enable a rank beginner like me to create his desire in a reasonable time frame. If you or Rich have such a plan, I’m sure that the 96% of all IM’s that fail would throw their $$$$$$$ at you. Since you both have such expertise, put your money where your mouth is to create such a product. Allow us dummies to get into the game and then really make some serious CASH. The more the merrier!
Bring us all along & you won’t be able to count the money. Never mind, I’ll do it myself. Everybody in this world deserves to have these tools all in one place, and get a real product that is complete and works. TALK ABOUT A MAVEN…………

I’m working on something that’s meant to do EXACTLY that because I’ve found it exasperating that my peers haven’t DONE exactly that.
Sometimes, I’ll pay $7-$27 for a new ebook, full well knowing that it’s going to be 99% fluff, just because I know how to mine 1 or 2 good ideas from it and then combine them with ideas I already use to make more powerful results.
But I don’t buy the book thinking that the book will have some kind of amazing solutions. The last 2 I bought were utter garbage.
The thing with my peers is that what they create, at their higher level, is only 85% fluff, so the average marketer thinks they’re getting something extra special and lords over the marketer. Like when people call firemen, police and military – HEROES. And those people readily admit, “Hey, we’re just doing our job…”
Well, these marketers aren’t heroes, or great, or awesome, or even generous. They’re marketing, and you should really know that by now. They’re not here to save you. They’re not here to enlighten you or to make you a better person but they will talk about those things in order to keep you on the ropes.
You, or someone else, was absolutely right when they said that if my peers really wanted to wow the world and get their message out, they’d take their 5-10 most die-hard skeptics and show them how it’s done. Then they’d have a big mouth, blowhard, successful joint venture partner for life.
Why haven’t they figured this out yet?
It’s too big a risk and plenty of cash is already coming in. I guess you get thrown to the wolves, M00chy. But keep your eyes opened anyways. I really do understand what you need.

your idea of transforming your skeptics sounds great. Maybe Sam will take you on. Personally I run a small operation and have a waitlist of new projects and clients. I have the luxury to only work with people I know I can help in a big way and that I’d enjoy working with. It’s taken me years to get to this place in life, mostly a perspective shift to value quality of life over money, although because of it, I now make even more money! This comes down to Rich’s “do what you love so you can be the best at it” idea. With my clients, success is guaranteed or they don’t pay. In that way I have no dissatisfied clients.

I’m going to try to be nice to you since it seems to me you’re just a little more than naive.
First, I wasn’t serious about making a video. If you read my prior comments, you should have understood. Second, you’re not in high school any more where taunting someone to do something unless they want to appear to be “chicken” might have once worked.
Third, this “hiding” is what someone more understanding than you would call “branding.” In fact, just this month, I got 25 more links to my blog without even trying (the 25 isn’t the big part, it’s the “without even trying”).
Fourth, being a public figure might seem awesome to the star-struck wanna-be’s who almost always leap before they look but when your goal is “financial freedom” and you seek to maximize the results of your efforts, appearing in videos and playing savior aren’t necessary.
Fifth, “IM Savior” was your choice of words but if we use your rationale, then it would be up to the savior as to what time and place to appear and not your novice ass. I believe even Jesus, when asked, “Are you King of the Jews?” replied along the lines of, “That’s what they call me.”
If IM Savior is what you want to call me, then so be it.
Lastly, Victory, if you can pull yourself up out of the high school level taunting and have issue with something I’ve said, in particular, then tell me what that is so that we may discuss the facts together, in order that any who wish, for themselves, may then verify.
Truth be told, victory, if you keep up that kind of silly taunting, I might recommend you get an alias of your own. Then you can work towards presenting issues that can be intelligently discussed while you make your silly mistakes.

It is a great idea just like all your other ones. Rich you are the greatest. I just wish I could participate but I am not into videos yet. Perhaps later when I can get over the wrinkles cracking the camera. Things are looking up for me tho. I finally got my pages listed and available for my viewers. A great accomplishment for a young 85 year old lady. I will work on my autoresponder this afternoon. I will get this thing off the ground, you will see. I didn’t know what JV was. I’ve done everything under the sun on the internet but never profit one dime from any of it. Your game plan sounds really good but I have an idea. In response to the negative comments so far.
Even if you don’t like what Rich says/thinks/does/dreams look at the opportunity you are getting for exposure.
First of all, you are allowed a url link back from this blog – a few words in exchange for Google Lurvvvv. (Read the bit in the Doctrine about transactions).
Secondly, you have a mega incentive to make a video. If you don’t win, so what? You will gain valuable experience and improve yourself.
This is a great piece of indirect teaching to reinforce the themes in the book.
No video = No future.
Something I learned from the Next Internet Millionaire. Watch all the entries and choose your own 4 winners. If you match the final result then you’ve got it made – you understand what kind of videos get people’s attention. If you are completely wrong look at the 4 winners closely and see what it is that makes them appealing.
Above all, learn from this competition. Don’t be jealous. Don’t be envious. Just learn.

As much as I would like to participate, alas I’m deaf and usually that doesn’t work well for video (plus the fact I don’t have a video camera either – probably because of that!). Video great for some things, but to me, alas it just the same – nothing but silence.
Robert – I have a great idea for you! You can make a video with pictures as a slide show and use text over and in-between the pictures and graphics. You don’t have to use sound at all. If you ask me… That’s pretty darn COMPELLING!
There is a whole, huge, fantastic market of other deaf people who would love to watch videos that are made just for them!

I put together a couple of videos in response to a contest called the Next Internet Millonaire from Joel Comm and it’s AMAZING what has happened to me since then. Even though I didn’t win that contest, the exposure has created so much traffic and opportunities for my GutZy Women business! In fact tons of people find me on their DVD screens very soon!
I’m a woman AND close to 55 AND wasn’t exactly well known in the internet world but I saw the future and the future is in promotions like this. Ladie’s…don’t back down, you’re never too old! (I must say it is a bit tough to see the wrinkles in the camera as well:)
The way I see it…Rich makes some statements in his report #2 that have proven true for me, so instead of taking his word for it, try some of his strategies, then decide for yourself. Get your flip video camera and GET GOIN’!

Well… I just don’t know… a video huh? Things dreams are made of; to wish and dream of greatness, but you do not get anywhere with out some elbow grease.
I have enjoyed what I have read of the Web marketing 2.0. and can really related to the capturing of people’s attentions. I work in a fast pace kinda place with people always talking on cell phones while you are trying to get a word in else wise.
Having received and saved a good many of your e-mails, I find that your values and tips have been very useful at times. You can be long winded in some of your messages, but it only adds a personal feeling to your messages. Now if I could just get some personal coaching, I know I’d be in a whole new ball game.
Keep up the good work and remember what Zig Ziglar says, “Your word is your bond, if your word is no good, eventually you’re no good”.

Ok, I have been searching everywhere for about an hour on TubeMogul.com looking for the ‘video link’ that is referred to in the rules. I can’t find one or anything to prove the videos were actually uploaded through TubeMogul (short of sending a screen shot).
Just want to make sure I don’t get disqualified for not sending the proper link :)

I’m not convinced that you are any better than the marketers you mock. Your website, including this page right here, seems a bait and switch. Get hundreds of people to submit their great ideas to you for free (or pretty close). Then what?
In the interview with the wine guy, you both spent time discussing how you have to be yourself and if video isn’t “you” then find out what medium is and do it. So, are you not forcing those who are not video savvy to be something they are not?
Viral marketing, social networking and the like are nothing new to veteran marketers. What you are missing in your message is community and customer service. Serving for the good of all, not just one, or one entity/corporation (or at least bridging the current canyon between the two). This is where we have to move to. I think you may be a baby step towards this idea but, as I said, I’m not convinced that you’ve figured it all out yet.
If you are going to be real, than be real.

as Rich says, this contest is to motivate people to jump in and take action, even the non-winners have benefited hugely by competing.

Just a quick tip for anyone that will be using a ’script’ and wants to have something similar to a ‘telepromoter”.
Just create your script in Microsoft Word or any text document, then save it to a pdf.
Then to create the teleprompter effect, use the following feature in PDF.
On the PDF Menu, Click “View”, then look for “Automatically Scroll” and select it.
You can control the speed with the up and down arrow.

So, I’ve built a video file and uploaded it to everywhere. I joined TubeMogul (yesterday) and I’m not sure why, but I can’t seem to get TubeMogul to recognize some of my logins and it also owon’t allow me to add all of my videos/profiles to the “report”.
Nonetheless, I am grateful for this contest.
It lit a fire under my butt and got me into some video sites.
As for the comment (above) that this is a self-centered ploy to get us to advertise for Rich… I say, “HA!”, and “A-HA!” at the same time. This is pure brilliance! The truth is that while Rich will benefit from the traffic, I have already seen benefit from his instruction – and all I’ve done is to read the doctrine and participate in the contest.

I was sitting here reading your Doctrine – which I think is just great – and when I got to the top of page 58, my jaw dropped.
You wrote: “My best guess is well before 2010 there will be the group collective scoring system I am referring to. And the company that dominates that market will become a billion dollar company overnight.”
Here’s the thing… We’ve already created a review site just like what you’ve described! It’s in beta now, and will hopefully launch a few weeks from now. :-)

I believe it is too late to put in my entry but i do want to say this, i was reading your manifesto and wow was I suprised to see that every thing I have been doing for the last 6 months of my life was completely and utterly decoded and put into a step by step format that a 4 year old could figure out.
I know Eben Pagan calls it moving the free line but really i am so thankful to see someone like yourself that actually cares about helping people to make the make money online dream a reality.
With how you have decoded what I have been doing i have been able to get a following for my conference calls that would literally rival some organizations.
Not because i am so smart, but because of using the same techniques you teach in this ebook for free I have seen people pay over $2000 and get less.

What you offer is what I want. I am so tired of all the BS that is out there. Its like chasing an unkown target, soon as you get close its gone. Vanished – never existed.

Also, my picture shows Paris Hilton half naked but in my video it’s just me so I’m not sure why she’s the picture representing my entry. Creativitity is NOT my strong point so I’m not expecting to win but I’m guessing that people expecting to see Paris Hilton and then see me doing a video will be a bit underwhelmed, lol.
