Hey Guys,
Listen up, this post could actually change your life…
OK, this is the deal… my team and I have just finished going over nearly a thousand (!) blog posts and emails that have poured in over the last few days – all from people telling me what’s holding them back in their business.
It’s truly been overwhelming… this obviously struck a chord and the response has been staggering.
And that response has really pushed me to deeply reflect and re-visit my vast coaching experience from the last two years.
Don’t get me wrong… I am always reviewing and refining my coaching material. But those 1000+ comments and emails have been like an earthquake tearing through my business. This type of stuff doesn’t happen every day… or every year.
So this is what I’ve done – I went back to work and I’ve created an extremely powerful new video that explains why many of you been having trouble getting the momentum you need in your business.
Now, I partially addressed this same issue a while ago, but it’s very clear that I need to cover and expand on this material again.
That fact of the matter is (and you probably won’t like hearing this but) the truth behind building a successful Internet business is rarely told…
Unless you’re an experienced business builder (or you’ve simply figured it out through years of trial and error), you’ve never seen the full picture. I’m almost positive no one has ever spelled out the actual steps that are necessary to build a serious operation that generates massive cash flows and runs without you.
Let me ask you a question…
If someone was trying to sell you on an opportunity (a “system” that can make you money) would they want to tell you the WHOLE story?
Of course not!
And you know why? Because the WHOLE story is that building a business that can generate millions of dollars is NOT an easy thing to do! It takes time, effort and lots of sweat. And contrary to popular opinion, you can’t do it all in your underwear.
Of course, that’s not what the “opportunity sellers” want to tell you. They want to make it sound about as simple and easy as using your remote control to turn on American Idol.
If they tell you that their “opportunity” requires work, then they lose sales. They make less money.
That’s why you’ve never hear the full story from the opportunity sellers, because it’s doesn’t sell. Their sales pitch works best on the lazy and the stupid…
Now you might have gotten sucked into one or two of those “opportunity pitches”, but I know you are NOT either lazy or stupid. How do I know? I only have to take a look at my inbox on any given day. I see REAL questions from REAL people who are searching desperately for the answers to their burning questions about how to make a serious income online.
So I’ve put together a video series that spells it all out.
I think this video is appropriate for anyone who’s looking for a path that will take them to outrageous business success. But I’ve got to warn you, it’s not for those who are looking for a quick fix. It’s not for the weak.
It’s powerful (and profitable) stuff.
I’m calling it “The Momentum Movie Series” and you can see it here:
http://www.strategicprofits.com/profitvault
After you watch it, leave a comment on the blog. This is some serious stuff, and I’d like to hear your thoughts… so watch the videos and let me know what you think.
To Higher Profits,
Rich Schefren
P.S. After you watch the video, please let me know how you’ll be implementing these ideas in your business. You can do this by posting your thoughts right here.
Link to this post: If you found this page useful, consider linking to What they won’t tell you… ...
Couldn’t get the video. Probably too many people trying to watch it.
Rich – you’re now the Internet Entrepreneur Doctor!
Good analogy and I appreciate the prescriptions.
Thanks,
Peter
Not able to download it or view it from the link provided. First time this has happened!!
Rich – how do you come up with all this great content! that seems like a real secret to me
Amazing content, as always Rich… Thank so much!!
Great Stuff. On the lines of Alvin Toffler and Deming. Deming did it for Manufacturing Industry and TOYOTA is a result. Looking forward to Rich doing it for Internet Marketing Industry.
Same Here Rich…Blank Screen. Really looking forward to seeing the new info
IE6 gets a blank screen. Firefox works for me.
Great video.
Rich:
You tell it like it is. Everyone wants the turn key easy way to success, which is what most of the hypsters are trying to sell. I look forward to your future videos. Perhaps you could consider yourself as a momentum assister. If we are going to make mistakes, then at least give us the means to avoid as many as possible and recover quickly from the ones we will make.
Rich, as always, great content, great advice. Tuesday, can’t come soon enough, but that’s not to say I’m waiting until Tuesday to implement some of your ideas.
Key Takeaways:
– if it’s not on paper, then it’s still just an idea waiting to be picked from ether
– the truth only hurts if you intend not to use it
Great video. Commonsence approach.
Very good approach. I am curious about the next video.
Do you have any experiance on the Europian market?
I agree & loved the video !
If your business is not your number 1 priority .. it wont succeed !
Its all down the the individual and there are always “oh i need to do this first”
or “maybe i’ll try this later” moments..
You need to get people out of that way of thinking..
It took me ages to learn what i know & im glad there were guys like Rich & Corey around when i started
Your doing a great job Rich as normal !
BTW .. i’ll pop a spell checker in the post .. you missed a few ;)
tank you no espect english only frensh excuse me
Great stuff as always Rich! Thank you.
I would say that your free materials (past and to come) equal or even exceed much of the over-priced *instant success* materials that are already on the market.
Please, Please can you make this an MP3? I need to hear this about 10 times so I can etch it on my brain.
Thank you so much for this video and the ones that you posted some days ago. I also made it now through your Manifesto and the two amendments. Great stuff. I started a new mindmap while watching/listening to your ideas and ended up with a kind of action plan or momentum plan as you term it. I would appreciate a mp3 download, too. Thanks again.
Hi Rich ,
I love your no-nonsense approach to building a business . As a trader/trainer of Stock Market Trading I see EXACTLY the same problems in several Traders , who think the Stock MArkets are a quick and easy means to satisfying the get rich quick mentality .
Good Video . Thanks for the effort . Excellent presentation .
Since you are giving so much I thought I should give a bit back .
Two small mistakes spotted in your slides . Attention Deficit Trait and the keys over the wall slides …… ATD instead of ADT ( The wrong acronym is used ) , Otherwise , fantastic Video , and in the spirit of your Post and asking questions . Please who designed the Graphics of the powerpoint slides ? :-)
Once again , thanks for being TRUTHFUL and more power to your Bottomline !

Hi Rich,
Thanks for the great video. I think you’re one of the few genuine ones – didn’t think so originally because I thought you were only interested in profit. This video changed my mind on that. You once described yourself as someone who isn’t that emotional, but this video really shows you cared.
Great stuff!
Steve
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me Rich, I appreciate it.
How I wish you have prescription to recover faster from the heartache after watching the video. I mean, I just feel a bit dumb for not having enough faith in myself.
I am anticipating the next video :)

Chee Kui
Hey Rich
I’m so glad you tell it like it is. So many people believe there is a magic fix or special secret to having a successful business. Having a business takes work. But there is no greater feeling than building a business and having pride of ownership.
You are right on about people saying they have no product to sell. People should look in their own home and sell some of the stuff they have collecting dust. I’m not suggesting everyone start an eBay business but its amazing what you will learn by selling a few items on eBay. It will teach you skills you will use for other online business ventures. It will also motivate you and give you confidence. People just starting out need to look at their small successes – thats what motivates you to do more.
For those who procrastinate – I can’t tell you the number of times I changed the look of our web site BeautyInGlass.com but the important thing it was live right from the start. If I waited until I had the perfect template or look for the site, I would have missed all those sales. It was my customers who helped the site evolve. They told me what changes worked better. Listen to your customers!
We have several e-commerce sites and I know how people struggle with different aspects of starting a business. I get the emails too. Thats why we created TheMarketingEducator.com. It provides a place for business owners and those who want to start a business, to get the information they need and to share their concerns & questions with others.
Rich, I am so glad you continue to produce these videos. We all need stomp out the “get rich quick” mind set that has been cultivated by so many “gurus”. True business just doesn’t work that way.
Keep up the great work – I love your stuff!
Debbie
Honest, brilliant, heartfelt advice that will really help some folk.
Roger
I just finished watching your summary of ‘what is holding you back prescriptions’. It’s funny how sometimes in life a light switches on in your head. Everything (motivational) and probably alot of marketing you have spoken of I have heard/read before. I couldn’t help constantly thinking all the way along ‘yes I know that’, aha yep. Your presentations are great. As with everything in life, we ourselves are our own worst enemy. The little light went with my ’split business’ approach. I get told I am a super woman, but I am not, I am only human and have to focus on building one thing at a time with what I want to achieve in life. I was looking at short term goals and long term goals and trying to divide my time amongst each. Thus creating a wall that really isn’t necessary, it should be a rocky road maybe but not a brick wall. Thank you for being my lights trigger. Looking forward to more from you. Oh and by the way I realized you do sell something …….yourself. :) as a mentor, guide, teacher, etc.
Just finished your lates video and thanks for telling it like it is. It is clear that VISION is key to the PLAN which key to the PATH one has to take to realize the VISION. It is also clear where I have to FOCUS right now.
However Rich during the last couple of slides where you talk about “all the crap” that the “gurus” are packaging as “ice cream” and convincing a lot of suckers, their customers, that it is a “hot summer day” and if we don’t buy their flavour by midnight there will be not left, I couldn’t help thinking that a lot, or at least some of those marketers are your clients. It seems strange somehow. Anyway I appreciate your candor and look forward to the next movie if I can find time to watch it because I will be busy clarifying my VISION.
All the best!
Rich,
Phenomenal! You really hit the nail straight on the head. Like Rich, a good Doctor goes straight to the causes of the problem, and you certainly stresses the problems without hesitation and truth.
Well done!
I can’t wait for more prescriptions.
Ruth
Love your honesty, love your bluntness, love the great advice.
Thanks for the kick in the butt. I think we all need them occasionally… actually sometimes regularly. I saw points within the video that I have to change and not later.. NOW! I have been holding off on a few things looking to do it “right” … guess it is time to just DO IT!
Hey Rich,
I just watched your video and far from being offended, I wanted to stand up and cheer. Thank you for your brutal honesty. Most people are afraid to be so honest but those who have the courage are treasured by people like me who actually strive to deal with reality. So much of what you say validates what is inside me. I saw you speak at Stompernet and at Jim Edwards seminar in Atlanta. You are inspirational and motivating. Please keep it up. If you ever say anything less, I will curse you for selling out.
Good Video . Thanks for your doing this great. Very good presentation .
Hi Rich,
Thank you for your approach.
Sounds realistic and futuristic.
Now they serving me a glass of
french wine, after that joy I will
go to my emailbox and wait till
the parental advisory goes on…
Ciao, fred
Thanks for caring enough to put that together at great expense of your time and money.I had already realized to start filtering the info that I didn’t need for my specific path and of course –Clearly define that path in writing with a specific daily time for each activity. I have been a HUGE sucker for the “Secrets” out there and am now “cured” of that addiction.
You are a true “Professional” and again–Thank-you very much for doing these presentations that you really don’t even have to do.
I feel like I just got a lecture from my Father. What a humbling presentation… for me anyway.
Thank you for giving your perspective on what is obviously a major challenge for so many people on the internet today. I think, for those that actually “think” about what they saw and heard in your presentation, many will benefit in in areas of their lives besides just the entrepreneurial arena with what you have given us.
I suspect you will get many emails in the upcoming months about how this one presentation was a “turning point” in many peoples lives.
Thank You for telling the Truth.
Layard
Hi Rich,
Your no-nonsense approach to building a business is just brilliant, and I thank you for the effort that you’ve made in doing these free videos, your videos have given me a lot to think about. Thank you so much.
All the best,
Lionel.
I just finished watching and listening to your video. I heard you. Not because I didn’t know what you were saying; I have listened to others say the same things. I have nodded my head in agreement. I have taken notes, unsubscribed from some of those “crappy” info product mailing lists, and I have told myself that I can make it happen now. And here I sit, thousands of dollars and 18 months later. Still searching for – well, what am I searching for? I have started and been successful in my own businesses in the past. I started and operated a very successful state-licensed technical college.
So what’s different as I type this blog post?
While your words spoke great truth and wisdom, it was your passionate frustration that disturbed a reality about myself that I have skillfully buried for a long time: I have not truly believed in my entitlement to succeed this time, so much so that my subconscious has given license to my fear to make my decisions.
I have been starting, learning, restarting, buying, half-heartedly promoting myself, and generally wasting time with the lame excuse that I have been getting an invaluable education in my extended action paralysis.
But I my reality is simple: I have not believed in my unconditional right to be successful. Period. No labels. No excuses.
Today that changed.
Thank you for your enthusiastic honesty. It has served you well. I know that I am in the right place at the right time because the old me just woke up out of a deep state of wounded apathy.
Today my vision has a new reality, so look out!
Criss
Hello Rich,
Wow… another great video! You are so right on about the truth of internet marketing or any business you want to build. Salesletters are meant to do one thing and that is get a sale, and it is too bad that many of us are taken in, and then when we buy the next whiz bang software or e-book that we thought was the answer, we are so disappointed.
I have learned in my experience, and I am speaking for myself, that it boils down to a very specific system, for an immediate means to make money.
I think if people could make money right away, while working on some bigger projects it would probably help them keep the momemtum going, easier.
Regards,
Debbie Gragg

[Dr. Schefren] …”STOP doing THAT! Now get otta here, ya knucklehead…”
Rich, it was great seeing you at Mike and Tom’s 2007Figure event. I didn’t get a chance to chat with you however…a mistake I will not repeat.
Thanks for everything!

Rich,
You hit the nail right on. Your comments were perfect for me. Your comments has allowed me to re-evaluate my business processes & procedures and make adjustments that will allow me to control my destiny. I look forward to your next video.
Let The Truth Be Told – That’s What I Aspire To Do!
But, you are the “Man”, My Friend. Concise, precise, “no-holds-bar” stuff
Life is full of excuses – you have to take your chances and roll with the punches!
Thanks for caring and sharing,
thehouseofmax -
First of all, please allow me to express my appreciation for your help thus far.
As for me, I’m “really” ready, and I will, (actually I already have,) started to change my approach to the way I’m building my business. You’ve helped me a great deal, and I’m looking forward to your next yideo.
I found your most recent video, as usual, straight forward and to the point, but I do have some concerns, not with your presentation “Doctor”, but with my fellow “patients”
To use your analogy, all the “Doctors” advice, treament, and medication won’t mean a thing unless the “patient” is willing to follow the “treatment” protocols.
I think I can understand a little of the frustration that you must feel; what is obvious to you is unforunately not so obvious to others.
If is does become obvious to them, they may begin to feel either “threatened,” or dismissive. Peoples’ core beliefs consitute who they are, and if those beliefs are held up for scrutiny, and “found wanting,” people will often seek to reinforce them rather than adopt a new world view.
Beliefs, false, or otherwise mold and shape us. Our emotions, attitudes, and of course our actions all hinge on our beliefs.
If I may draw a comparison from my own life, it may be instructive. I am a professional drug and alcohol counselor, and in my profession it is not uncommon for me to have to deal with a clients’ denial.
One of the many ways that I deal with this issue is to point out to my clients that an informal definition of insanity might be as follows: ” An individual continues to perform, or not perform the same action over and over, in the same way, and yet somehow, in someway, expects the results to change.”
Even knowing this as a clinical professional, I still continued to try to build my business using the same techniques espoused by so many of the “guru’s, {small g} and of course, failed time, time, and time again.
I was extremely frustrated, and spending money I did not have in pursuit of my dream. I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong, in short I was very close to giving it all up.
It took listening to your videos’ to clear the haze from my eyes.
I guess its true that when the “student” is “really” ready, the Guru will appear!
Unfortunately, from the tenor of some of the blog posts, it appears that at least some of the “students,” like I was formerly, not willing to let go of their old beliefs, ideas, perspectives, and assumptions. In short, not “really” ready. Unless they do, to them, the “Guru” and his valuable advice will remain both invisible and inaudible.
Keep up the good work Rich.
Thanks Again,
Bill
Rich,
Just finished watching the “prescription” video…great stuff!. It’s refreshing to hear someone tell it like it is.
I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones – I realized after only about 9 months of falling flat on my face in Network Marketing that I needed to get educated before I went any further (especially into my wallet).
I took a couple steps back and researched the industry, the successful entrepreneurs, the marketplace, and also investigated some of the self-proclaimed “gurus” that promise that I can make millions sitting on the couch in my pajamas while my computer rakes in the cash for me.
I reached many of the same conclusions that you’ve presented in your videos. It’s very gratifying and reassuring that most of my conclusions have been validated by you and others that are intent on bringing a measure of integrity to this industry.
I look forward to the next video…keep up the good work!
Bill Cox
Hey Rich,
My name is Alex Jeffreys from the UK
I met you at Mike Filsaime’s event in New York last week
I didn’t tell you in New York about my story after reading your
Internet marketing manifesto
After reading it I was upset with myself, due to how bad I was running my
Business, and how wrong I had been over the past years…
In fact I didn’t like what I was reading at all, it made me feel sick to be honest.
Even though I make good money online
The two weeks after reading your 3 books I thought I was having a break down???
For real my business structure just looked so bad
Trust me Rich they were not my best days to say the least –
BUT THEN IT HIT ME…
I wasn’t breaking down – you had broke my business down to its core
You stripped me down and gave me the chance to set it up the correct way
before it was too late…
now I run my online business as a business – and not a hobby that makes money…
This video you have produced today did the same thing again
It gave me a kick up the butt.
Rich there is no B.S and no-nonsense in the video just great content
Thank you
Alex Jeffreys
Thanks for being brutally honest, hat’s off to ya
Hmmmmm I for some reason feel a great resemblance to the StomperNet launch! The way you are releasing these videos and the way you present you information. Are you the one who taught them this process or is this the new and improved version of the product launch formula?
Hi Rich,
I want to thank you for the information, I can tell you I purchased alot of information and there always seemed to me to be something missing. I know believe I have the answer. If you don’t have a plan then or as I put it a real plan to follow then you will be jumping all over the place and never focusing your effects.
I am going to setup a proper plan and work it till the end.
Thanks
Darcy Bottaro
Rich, great stuff! Thank you so much for all the insight and truth. This information is so valuable, I already feel an internal shift in my understanding of how to successfully grow and prosper in this business. There is so much fluff and sugar coated fantasies being perpetuated as helpful information, it is such a relief to hear the straight skinny… the unadulterated truth. Thanks again, Rich. Please keep it coming.
Scot Velardo
Rich,
congratulations, this was
***AWESOME***
EVERY SINGLE WORD OF THIS VIDEO IS TRUE!
Before this video, there was no way that you could ever sell me something. Doesn´t matter what, i wouldnt buy it. Here is why: After working hard for 3 years, i now have momentum in my own internet business. So i know what i am talking about, and that all these “make money fast online”-sales letters are pure crap and are only made to squeeze out money of stupid people.
I spent a couple of hours reading all the feedback to your “whats holding you back”-question, and several times i wasn´t sure if i should laugh or cry about the comments – really strange how brainwashed some people are.
So i was anxious: How would you react? Would you offer an “easy 30 day email course to get momentum” for as little as $97? (works 100% also if you have no clue, no idea, no skills, no education, no computer, no passion and of course lots of time consuming hobbies!) I guess it would be easy to sell this to 2000+ people on your list – easy money for you.
But wow, you did the opposite and told them the truth!
I am impressed.
This video will bring you huge financial success on the long run. Because people like me are not easy to convince. I am looking for help to grow my 500k/year business to 5 million $ / year (which is difficult – you explained exactly why, completly different skills needed after you have momentum in a business). And if you can offer me something that provides great value for me, it really doesn´t matter if it costs 500$ or 5000$ or more.
So maybe you shocked lots of people on your list, but you get huge integrity for a group of other peoples on your list (maybe quite watching until now), this will pay out for you.
I am really interested what comes next from you.
All the best,
Mat
So the video is B. S. killer. Thank you for that. And I’ve already failed at the very beginning. I don’t know “left from right”. The “vision” thing…? I “invision” a website of mine, or a bunch of them, that can take orders from people that get their problems solved buying the products I sell in my page… right? Ok! You tell me what’s next.
Thank you
Hi Rich,
Stop apologizing for telling the truth, I just love the straight talking so please keep it up. Excellent video, brilliant content and very well delivered.
A very heart felt thank you.
Leslie
Wow. Thanks for telling us the truth. I knew the ‘why’ was important and now I see why it is.
Throughout the video you mentioned you’d share the ‘Scoreboard Method’ with us and you also mentioned a Skill Acquisition Protocol. Will these be in the next video? I’m looking forward to the Scoreboard Method as that was in a lot of the prescriptions.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge of what works!
Thank you for your keen insight, AND straight-shooting! You are a Valuable Ally, as I forge ahead in my business. I look forward to your next Communication, Especially your elaboration on the SCORECARD.
Ya-da, ya-da, ya-da.
A great example of information overload (as discussed in the video).
Hej Rich.
Nice slices this time.
Last time I couldn’t see too good what the Momentum is.
Now I will articulate how to run the buisiness and only focus on the information I need (if I can).
I’m looking forward to another boost from you.
Frantz – Denmark
Before I received a message about your video, I “tree topped” The Success Process in an article at http://www.stevereports.com and that is a clearly defined target, an action plan with milestones, action, variance analysis and corrective action.
Your video is excellent and I will edit this mornings post to my blog to include the link. Everyone in business or thinking about a business should watch this. I loved how you dismissed the excuses.
Thank you

because I could see myself very clear in there
thank U.
Hey guys… I am one of Rich\’s coaching clients and just wanted to say that I have been very pleased with the content that I have received in the last eight modules. A lot of the content was stuff I already knew but I never really had a system that would connect everything together.
I am about 75% done with the course work and I can see the finish line from where I sit today. It has honestly been very hard work but Rich has given me a system to follow and build my business around. I would say that this is not for everyone. Don\’t even look at the system if you don\’t want to rebuild your current business or build a new business using Rich\’s suggestions. I just don’t think it is worth the investment if you are not willing to do what it takes. I am actually in the process of completely rebuilding my company because I did it wrong by myself. If you can relate to having a glorified job… that I pretty much what I built myself. I am now building a real business that will run with or without me because I now have systems in place and employees to do what I was doing myself.
To be completely honest with you this was not a cheap investment and I felt very nervous spending the money just to sign up for Rich\’s course. I did not even think about how much it would cost me to systemize our processes, budget to hire and train new employees and contractors and rebuild everything. Like I said… this is not a program for everyone…
I honestly wish I would had found Rich\’s coaching program before I spent the thousands and thousands of dollars on Internet marketing products that ended up being pretty much junk.
My honest advice is invest in coaching/mentoring and not in products. Don\’t get me wrong, products are fine if you need a product for a particular reason. I mean if you are going to setup your first AdWords campaign you might want to invest in an e-book that shows you exactly how to set things up the right way. Just don\’t do what I was doing and buying new products at launch time just because I did not want to miss out on a special bonus or something similar.
If your business is not giving you the freedom you deserve then it may not be built with on a proper foundation. I now understand that and have put Rich\’s suggestions into action and I know that this will be my biggest year ever.
Humbling. Enlightening. Mind blowing. Inspiring. Incredibly intellegent.
I’m all over it!
Many, many thanks,
David (Did I mention humbling?)
Rich,
I have just viewed your great video whereby you outlined your prescriptions associated with various problems people are experiencing.I could immediately
relate to “Information Overload.”
I really appreciated your honesty.
I look forward to your next video. Please add me to your list in order for me to receive other information from you.
Many thanks for the information of great value
Arthur(Bermuda)
Man, I am totally BLOWN AWAY! I had my wife listen with me, and it’s the first time in 32 years of marriage, that I could tell that she “Got It”. I knew some of these things, but your presentation was the BEST I’ve heard. I kind of wish you lived in my neighborhood, as you are the type of person that I would love to associate with. I envy your close friends though, who if they haven’t implemented your ideas, need to be shot! LOL. You seem to have crystal clear grip on the whole thing. I hope that somewhere along the line, that we could get together for a chat and a cup of coffee.
PS
If you ever want to run for political office, that’s MY forte. Let me know. ( Yes I know, I will be publishing on the subject soon!)
Mike
http://www.video-articles-online.com/
Dear Rich
Totally agree with Mat – there must be a lot of people watching this, quality people, watching your videos and thinking “hmmmmmmmmmmm”.
I’m someone who is thought of as someone who knows what they are doing online, in the UK, having made lots of money online in various different ways, myself.
I’ve spoken for the World Internet Summit and been on CNN Breakfast News Worldwide as a Dot Com Bubble survivor (*grin*) and speak regularly on marketing online, but since last year when I started to feel some of the things you have articulated so well, I really slant it now to existing successful business owners who want to get online to make more profits, rather than people who want to give up their day job and risk all.
However, before I saw the light, we got sucked into the idea of doing for other people last year, and it’s been nothing but grief, because they handed over responsibility for their businesses along with their cash and we let them, because we just didn’t know how unusual we were in the amount of effort we put into making our online businesses a success.
It seems most people find even writing a fortnightly ezine too hard, and/or blogging once a week. I’m not being critical, just honest. I’ve been writing my ezine since 1999 and only when I moved country and my marriage fell apart did I miss a week or two (when I wasn’t talking about said breakdown *grin*), but blimey, some folks can’t even go and find other people’s articles and create something simple to send out regularly.
What you have done for me (since last Nov/Dec) is get me refocused on which of my businesses (see, more than one is too many already I realise now) will deliver the life I want – less stressed – and help me work to my strengths and interestingly, it’s the first one, which I’ve rather let languish unloved and unlooked after…..
But after your releases of end of last year, I went back and did my stats on all companies and the “old stalwart” was the star performer. Wow, what an eye opener that was. And thinking about it, it’s the one that I’ve reconnected with as the one that feeds my “core needs” and delivers joy in the day to day “doing”.
Your info regarding the customer journey time and customer value was mind blowing and I looked at the time lag from ezine to purchase, over the last 5 years, which I found was 10 months. Since I did that it’s rather dramatically reduced from 10 months to 8 months on average.
You also made me realise that while I was busy focusing my clients on one product, I had missed the competition coming up, and I was making the company vulnerable because we didn’t have upsells, cross-sells and enough ways to increase trust and encourage initial purchases.
I have to tell you, I’ve been banging on about you in my blog, my ezine and my business partners are sick of the sound of your name – LOL. Rich Schefren this, Rich Schefren that………..all I can say is, watch out for a flood of traffic from TheMoneyGym.com.
My business partner asked me recently (this was pre-Rich now know as “P-R” in the same way that AD is Anno Domini) who I would like to be coached by next, out of everyone in the world, and I couldn’t think of anyone except for …………her….. (!) but now I know.
My other business partner is currently so disillusioned with internet marketing (snake oil selling) that he won’t even talk about it any more but I’ve told him to watch your vids and get his head back.
Keep it up! It’s valuable work and great value.

Based on watching the last 2 videos , you have help me clear up some of the distractions and lack of focus around me . I have struggled for 2 years trying to start an online business while owning and operating a Catering business . Part of the problem has be getting sucked into the opportunity seeker , push button riches, Buy my secret method , Here you’ll find the untold story , you will be in profit in 24 hours CRAP. It amazes me after being in the catering / food service business for years , that I could have thought it would be that easy to get an online business going. But unfortunately I got SUCKED IN and purchased alot of stuff (probably some good stuff) got info overload and just about gave up. I have been wanting to change careers and was stupid to think starting another business would be that much easier than starting a tradition offline business. With all that said , I thank you for clearing up a few things for me and to those who think that it’s going to be a free ride (no money up front , 1 hour a day , blah blah blah) think again. On the other hand I AM CONFIDENT that with the right advise(thanks Rich) and the work ethic ( willing to do what it takes) I and anyone else can be successful at this. I think I found the product that I want to sell and it is something everyone needs. After years in the CAtering Business with many long hours , i know how much work being self employed is , but as you said Getting the right people to help where you are not as strong can make the difference between success and if not failure maybe just getting by.
Thanks Rich, Looking forward to the next video.

Hey Rich,
First, Thank You again for sharing with the Doctor’s
approach to solving problems for Internet Entrepreneurs.
I really do appreciate your labor of love to help the
Internet Marketing Industry. For one I’m grateful.
You are reaching the heart with truth, therefore comes
the issues of life. A tree is known by the fruit that is
produced. Keep it up Rich, this will help to heal the
land. Be Blessed always…great parable for mankind!
Rejoice and again I say Rejoice!
Rich, as a doctor, you were entitled to tell us that what it takes is BALLS (yes ladies, EvenWomenHave Ballz.com !) and as a successful entrepreneur you can tell them that it takes GOLDEN BALLS. Now a wise doctor will say that not all that glitters is gold…
That’s it folks.

Rich, from the first of your videos I realized you were truly more of a business oriented person than an Internet Marketer. I often tell people that anything they think is unique to an online business is not, and I can give you the corresponding function in an offline business (e.g., comparing Internet Retail to B&M Retail). Your ‘prescriptions’ video was spot on, and I think serves anyone that is truly looking to form a ‘business’, and not just an internet business.
I got into the business of internet retail by accident (like many, just trying to find some way to say goodbye to what corporate america has become), and it led me to a number of other areas that I feel where I can add even more value. I know one thing that I do not think has been mentioned is becoming too attached to what you started with. I’ve been hesitant to leave the current behind to move forward on what truly inspires me. Not really dealing with a failure, but seeking a change in direction as you recognize new opportunities.
Overall, your ‘prescriptions’ video has me more motivated than any of the others. Great work, and I look forward to the Scoreboard Method, and whatever is next (and ultimately, to the final offer – yes, I know this is leading to a pitch, but you have built confidence in your abilities by what you have provided so far.)
Just finished watching your momentum video.
You are right on! Just jump in an do something. That is the only way to build a business. My son and I have been at it for six years. Money is a problem but we just set aside some each month when the social security check comes in and let it take us as far as it could. Then spent the rest of the month planning how to spend the money we would get the following month.
Along the way we spent what we could on software, e-books teleconferences you name it. He spends 10 to 12 hours a day improving his skills, working on his websites and telling me to get more involved. This last year I have and we are so close we can taste it.
Thank you Rich!
I really appreciate your blunt honesty about the world of the “opportunity seekers” and the “Internet guros” who out to show us “the way”. To be honest, I immediately put you in that category simply because you are on the Internet, gettting email addresses of opportunity seekers, and offering “How To….” stuff. However, after listening to this recent recording, I feel certain that you are someone who is genuinely trying to help us.
Please continue to speak bluntly and honesty about becoming a successful entrepreneur. The truth can hurt, but as we all know… it can also set us free.
Thanks again, with God’s blessing.
Sharon
Rich the video was excellent you have really made it very clear to me can’t wait to see the next viseo.
Hey Rich,
Thanks for having the guts to tell people the truth. Great job breaking down the major issues that stop people from succeeding in their business and addressing specific solutions to each problem.
Looking forward to watching your next video.
Be well,
Scott

Thanks for standing up and telling the TRUTH!!!
Don’t bother if people get offended. You are doing us a great favor by telling us what we NEED to know, instead of what we want to hear.
Go ahead and be as BLUNT as you want and knock some more sense into more people!
Rich,
Greate video…awesome. Thank you so much for being so frank, candid and honest. You have destoyed all my previous excuses and ones I may have come up with in the future. Thanks for giving me a true business education
It’s very easy to see why your so successful. You give people true value.
Take care,
Brian
Gong to see the video although your site screaming for more bandwidth.
Rich,
Finally someone with enough guts to speak from the heart! This is long overdue. I can’t wait for the next video! Many thanks.
Good video, great video… WHAT video? I was able to cook my lunch, eat it, and STILL stare at this “connecting” thing. You don’t even know if it is downloading, caching, or it is stuck and hanging. Only judging by my wireless connection traffic counter I could see that it is doing something.
First off Rich, thank you, for being so forthcoming with your material.
It’s funny, lately I have been focussing better and implementing the techniques you outline here because I’m tired of knowing it all and getting nowhere. But to see it outlined the way you have is just SO DAMN CLEAR it is scary.
I identify (and suffer from) many of the issues you outline. Thru insight and now your crystal clear presentations I can actually deal with them and move forward. How could I possibly be offended. Grateful is the word.
You are really unique and a treasure.
Thanks, Roland
Rich,
You’ve done many of use a great service with your FREE video. “what they won’t tell you…”. I’m a reently retired police officer who has dabbled with part-time business on the side for decades but my bread and butter came from my government job. Your video reminded me of something my father use to always say, “Jack of all trades, master of none”.
Every time I get an “exciting” new marketing way or business opportnity on the internet I would try it. The result is I was going of in a dozen different directions so I wasn’t really successful in any thing.
Your video addresses that and I am now going to stop going off in many directions and start concentrating on the one of two things that actual bring in the money.
Thanks again
Thank You Rich,
Even though You tell it like You see it. It still feels like a slap in the face.
It is all common sense stuff, that a lot of us refuse to face up to. I feel
like a little kid sitting down with Dad, getting the talk.
I appreciate all your doing, to help us that are struggling to make it.
And I look for ward to the next video.
Gary
Rich,
Thanks for the honesty.
I have been in three businesses over the past 15 years and have always read biographies of businesspeople. Like the Rock Star that cannot become sober until they have gone through the ‘drug years’, you cannot be sucessful in business without the failures. The plan is to not make any fatal ones.
–Mike
Hi Richard
I have just watched you video on the answers to some of the questions you received and was absolutly blown away by your honesty
This is exactly what I and i guess many other people needed to have told to them
I have been a victim of many of the things you described and although we have been trying to set up a business online since I had to retire from my job , I have built up a very large collection of products and have tried to learn enough to start but as you so rightly pointed out ” The fear of failing ” stoped me
I d like to say THANKYOU and we are looking forward to seeing your next video for more “HONEST” help
Yours Gratfully
Jenny and Leigh
Rich,
Thanks for your recent “Momentum” video. I have found that in selling and marketing, whether online or offline, objective truth is often a rare commodity.
Sometimes the truth hurts; but, whether it hurts or not, it is precious and of great value. That is the way I react to this most recent video, that is, by recognizing its great value because of the truth inherent in it.
Part of the truth value involved was the work you put in forming categories from the many blog posts you received on the topic: “What is stopping you?” in building on online business and then addressing each of the major categories. That was a very helpful, inductive approach.
In your various solutions to each of the category problems, I found one solution that I thought summarized the entire video. It was the solution to the “Lack of Focus” problem: “Articulate your vision, develop your mementum plan, use the scorecard method to make sure you spend time each day on building the online business.” This is what I intend to concentrate on as I seek to apply this video and future ones to my online business. Thanks for your effort in doing this and making it available to so many people, including myself.

Rich,
Thanks again for this incredibly valuable information. These videos have come at such an appropriate time for me. Two weeks ago I started typing up job descriptions for all the resources I need (and will need) for my business. It was an incredibly powerful exercise, as I was able to clearly see how I want my business to function and how all the pieces will interact with each other. There’s something about putting things on paper that somehow makes it real for me. I started to create checklists and processes. I also started creating screen capture videos to show someone (unpaid relatives!) how to do routine, mundane tasks (like adding products to an ecommerce site, and registering my name/information at a gazillion article sites). I feel like everything is really starting to click, and I have started taking massive action to getting things done.
This video really drove home (to me) the point “where there’s a will, there’s a way.” Instead of making excuses, and finding reasons for not doing things, we really have to accept the challenges and just figure out ways to resolve them. There’s no silver bullet.
Thank you for sharing this information, this means so much to so many people, and I am extremely grateful.
Thank you,
Kristen Hudson

Can you please help
Rich,
Your brutal honesty is incredible! Cutting through the crap sometimes takes a sharp tongue and I applaud your candor. Anyone starting or building a business should absolutely take your teachings to heart. It’s like you clear away the fog and suddenly the elusive roadmap appears.
Your Efforts Are Genuinely Appreciated.
Many Thanks!
Thank GOODNESS for you Rich!
This last email you sent with the ‘breaktrhough video” that cuts through the “CRAP” and tells entrepreneurs (who will listen) what they really needed to hear is AWESOME!
Get rid of the Bogus Excuses and JUST DO IT!
Good for you!
In fact, your Mannifesto has inspired me to create my web site:
Your Local Talent Show (.com)
Glad to hear someone out there is telling the TRUTH.
THANK YOU!!!
Michael
WOW….alright our business does not market ebooks or sell information online, but we do have a business and a website that we’re trying to capture an audience for and wanted some ideas on marketing. You can’t imagine how much information we’ve purchased to try to get answers to our questions but it all basicly talked about the same thing…..how to sell products online. So your video was a breath of fresh air knowing that you also had experience in offline businesses as well. I think that many of your concepts can be applied to any business. But I would love to hear from anyone that may have resources to help people market their offline business as well. We’ve found our passion, we love working the business, and aren’t afraid to take risks. We doubled our business in one year without any experience, all by trial and error and word of mouth. Now its time to get serious and try to expand. Thanks Rich. You have been the only one that has convinced us that we don’t have to always follow rulebooks to get something right if we have a vision and a desire. Can’t wait for the rest of your videos.
Rich, I loved your video where you insulted absolutley everyone that complains about not having what they want. I really appreciate your point of view that misconceptions are holding these people back.
I spent a few years teaching physics to college students and the most critical skill I ever learned was how to discover the misconceptions that they held onto that prevented understanding.
I look forward to your next video and I’ll be writing my vision for my business that sets me free.
-Troy
Rich,
I agree with Cristy: Please create the MP3 version of this video as well, as lots of people of listening to the audio versions of your immensely great lessons on the way to and from the office, etc. – and I am one of them.
Secondly, I got the impression that you were going to provide the Scorecard at the end of THIS video…did I miss anything, or that omission was intentional?
Thirdly, I really saw how passionate you are about the stuff you teach. And you have a lot of empathy for your market – that was a live example of how passionate we all should be about our clients. Thank you for that.
And last, but least: as per Matt Morris of Success University, ‘You either pay the price now for success, or you will be paying for the rest of your life for failure.’
So we better swallow the bitter pill and keep watching and listening to you.
Your brutal honesty will not break us, but will only make us stronger.
I never thought that anyone would stand up and say what you did. It was an eye opener and I feel has been needed for a long time. I am just glad it came from a trully professional such as yourself.
I have read plenty of these sales letters out there and their claim to fame and see how I as well as others have gotten caught up in the get righ quick skeems. Well the only ones getting righ quick are the ones selling the skeems.
That being said you need to treat the internewt as a tool to promote a business, a real business. Whether it be internet based or brick and motar based. Learning that when you treat a business as a business and not a hobby is one of the first steps to becoming a successful online business.
My plans are coming together for a true online business and am devoting my time to relistening to your strategies again and making notes as to the direction I will be going over the course of the next few weeks getting ready for launch to see that I have all my I’s dotted and my T’s crossed.
Thanks again and I cannot wait to here more.
Richard
Hi Rich,
Well…if you are going to spend your time communicating to what we call the “wanna-be entrepreneurs” get use to repeating yourself.
They don’t want to W-O-R-K to get results! They want to push a button and have it all done “magically” And I am afraid that you can thank the big MLM guys for that. (i.e., “no work required…just pay us and we will do all of the work for you”).
REAL Entrepreneurs just put their noses to the grindstone and keep plugging away. The blessing behind your work is that you are showing us how to do it with a process. Let me also thank you for that!
Keep getting the word out…you certainly have your work cut out for ya!
Good Luck and thanks.

DUDE! It’s like you’re reading my life story. I’ve been a Loan Officer or the last 14 years and started playing in on-line marketing for about 2 or 3 years now. I work 10 hours a day and then I get 1-2 hours at night to get my homework done. If you read Robert Kiyosaki’s book Rich Dad Poor Dad you’ll know what I’m talking about.
See I thought about it and asked myself; what do I know about? What do I have to offer and that was information on mortgages and credit. I took what I knew and found someone in the business and asked him to help me write a ebook. That guy by the way had a backend product that cost $699.00 that his company sales. That led to me writing my own ebook on mortgages. This whole thing turned into a snow ball effect, because now I have a couple partners and in our limited spare time we are creating a new business to bring it all together.
It did not take a lot of money to get this going but the time was a killer. I’d say from start to finish about 3 -4 months. Just about every night at 1 -2 hours and 5-6 hour over the weekend it started coming together but we did it. Then this new business starting up was the icing on the cake.
I was introduced to Rich’s work through AWAI and have followed his work sense. I never bought anything from Rich because the free stuff was enough. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure something will get me to buy but like he said; you have to focus on the work at hand in order to get the job done. When I do take a break and looking around a little his information is the first thing I look for. Thanks Rich for all the great in your face information. Please keep up the great work and maybe one day I can grow up to be just like you.
I am new at all this and a little ruff around the edges but you can see my work at:

Rich, is it possible to have a document format of this video for people who can’t view it? I viewed it fine, but I have friends who can’t view it because of a slow internet connection. I just have to share your AWESOME information from this video with them!
Thanks so much. :)

Rich,
Your video was AWESOME! As I was listening to you, I could feel my energy and drive for ‘getting going’ get going!
The information you shared was not only diagnostic, but prescriptive as well.
How can I find links to all your earlier videos/materials?
Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom and experience — for free, no less!

Re: Latest Video
It was how it is…
See you over the top!
:-)
About three weeks ago, I probably would have been one of the offended, But the video was awesome & hit the nail on the head, so to speak, I even had a few chuckles to myself, knowing that everything on that video was the Absolute Truth.
It was brilliant, I was doing everything wrong, not so long ago, & now I am doing virtually everything you had in the video, it was weird to see it set out like that, and I now know , I am finally on the right track to success.
I have definately turned all my past failures into feedback, (and there have been many) I am now looking forward to the future.
And, Yes the biggest factor in that was actually “Articulating my Vision” and also turning it into a Must, rather than just a desire, has made a huge difference.
Also finally understanding the fact that, everything that happens, good or bad, is of our own doing, or thoughts, was a scary concept, at the time
of learning it, which by the way was a long time ago, but it had never sunk in, Until now! “I finally got it”
I do seive through my emails now, & only read the ones, I feel would benefit me, I wasn’t going to watch the video at first, but I am glad I did take the time to, confirmation I am on the right track, I only seem to get excactly what I need to see or hear these days, funnily enough!
There are a lot of amazing people out there, willing to share and teach people, for those willing to listen, you are definately one of those.
Thank you for the video and all the other brilliant information you have shared in the past, always very much appreciated.
Sincerely Dianne Kneller.

Thank you Rich!
I know this stuff and I am working towards getting better at it, but it’s like my early army days – I need a kick in the pants to keep going.
I really appreciated the presentation. I plan on passing this on to friends. The part I 100% align with is how important it is to articulate your vision and make a plan. Even though I have learned this, and carried it out in successful endeavors in the past, I notice that I do have a hard time really getting the plan down. Partly that is because the vision keeps changing as I learn more about the possibilities.
I also think it is a great idea to describe the skills and even the kind of people you are looking for–like make a want ad for who you want; their personality characteristics as well as skills.
I agree with the Time Poverty solution–less TV and time wasters. I also think we need to look out how we do things–how can we be more efficient. For us mothers, how can we share child care. I have always thought that living in a community is the most efficient way to live, because then people can share the chores so that they can be freed up to accomplish their personal goals. In fact, when I decided that I really needed to get focused, and I had the time to take a kind of retreat–I first created the description of this ideal community, and with your inspiration, I will describe the kind of people I would like to live there.
I love the idea of partnering with people, and I know about a website (don’t have it at my finger tips) where some of that partnering can go on. Do you have any suggestions as to where that can happen, and how to draw up agreements for the partnership?
I also want to write the description of my perfect day–and start visualizing it every day first thing in the morning, and before I go to bed. I heard of doing this about 25 years ago, and have done it off and on. My question is..why does it seem so hard to get into good habits? That is another reason to have community–to have people encouraging you and sharing good habits.
I agree with the part about failure is inevitable–and yet, I do think that if we can learn from the mistakes of others, we can avoid some failures. the failures we do have may not even be called failures–but learning experiences. My dream is to tune into that inner knowing, sometimes called the Holy Spirit, so that I can be guided every moment to do the right thing.
About insufficient funds…the great thing about many businesses these days is that it really takes minimal money to have a website, a blog, a myspace account, and some affiliates to promote. And I just found a business promoting solar energy which is absolutely free, and looks like a phenomenal business making money from people using energy! This just may be the perfect business…we shall see!
I like the SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE because it really encourages people to articulate their values as well as their goals. I learned about this kind of goal setting from a tape series called INSIGHT ON TIME MANAGEMENT–about 25 years ago, and this kind of values based goal setting was what catapaulted me into my dream job.
I think it is important to address the fact that some people are completely overwhelmed, especially parents. We are always being confronted with the decision as to should we spend more time with our children, or doing our business. Both have such an impact on our future. All I can do is pray that God will help me to prioritize. It is actually easier for me to focus on building my business than spend time with my children. Yet I love them so much, and I want to be balanced.
And, in conclusion, I would encourage you to emphasize integrity and building a better world. We are at such a crises point in this world, and we need a critical mass of people who are articulating visions that will contribute to the well-being of others in a very clear way. The more clear the contribution, the better.
I see that you are a person who can make a huge difference in people’s lives, and I appreciate that you shared this video with me for free. I value that you are honest and clear and concise.
I hope this feedback was helpful.
FINALLY!!!! I get so sick and tired of people hemming and hawing around the real facts, worried about what everyone else will think.
Thanks for being so blunt and I look forward to the next video!
By the way, I kept waiting for the “Scorecard” – is that in the next video? Is that something to download? View? I was hoping that would have been tied up in the end…nontheless, will watch for the next video – I have momentum building to do right now in the meantime…
- K
Could you kindly make this video to be downloadable (convert to Quicktime or swf movie) – I want to send it to my frend but he has only a dialup Internet (I doubt if he can watch this video). I found it very grounding and a good weak up call for all, who keep watching “The Secret”, thinking just meditating along will bring success and achievements. The movie is very inspirational but doesn’t stress enough the importance of taking action….
Kindly send us downloadable link for a video or at lest the MP3 recording.

Video Not Working
I hate writing this because I am generally a big fan of Microsoft Software – all our products are built using Microsoft software (my children go to school because of Microsoft Software :) ).
However … I was unable to view this presentation using Internet Explorer 6. I downloaded and installed FireFox and the video worked immediately.
For other people having problems, download and install from here.
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
If you are like me, it is possible to install FireFox but still use IE for most things i.e only use FireFox when you find that IE has failed (like for this video).
In order to do this, download install FireFox. After installation, start FireFox. It will ask you if you want FireFox to be your default browser. There is also a checkbox if you want to check if Firefox is the default browser each time you start FireFox.
Clear the tick in the checkbox and then click No.
Now IE will still work the same way it always has but you can open FireFox (from Start-Programs) whenever you need to.
Comments on Video
Better Articulating the Vision and Making Job Descriptions for the missing talent from my team are my next steps.
Your video makes it clear why they are so important.
A very useful point for me also was to IGNORE all information that does not help me NOW.
Look forward to the next video (and hopefully being part of your coaching program).
Regards
Sanjay
Excellent! Straightforward and to the point.
3 key concepts for me:
1. Write it down and Make it Happen!
2. I’m in control of what information I allow to enter into my universe. If I feel there is too much in-coming, I can (and must) stop it.
3. Establish an Action Plan and stick with it.
My mind is changing video after video and it’s more and more clear;
Amazing real truth about business building!
Thanks again to wake us up to the real world Rich. A mentor is necessary, and rest is our part.
We have all we need inside to make it happen,
I will do it now.
My comments, just three words: I love it.
It was exactly what I needed to hear, and I expect countless others too.
Thanks for your straightforward expertice.
Thank alot rich for another great video..i think i am starting to see the “light”..
I wonder if i was one who suggested we wanted a ’secret”.. I was referring to a specific ebook I paid 200.00 for…supposedly the whole step by step (he said) process to my (putting my plan into action) online business. When I got to the end (the book was incredible, made sense, and answered most questions), in order to continue, I was obliged to spend 199 for the next step, then 99 for the next one and so on plus so much per month to keep the ball rolling…. I would like to be told up front the total amount. I understand back-selling… in fact, I am working that as part of my plan… so I guess i should not be surprised when i am being back-sold…that is what I meant about the whole package. Tell me upfront the total cost.
I had a plan. this ebook fit exactly into it….and it made promises that were either not true, or deceived me as a naiive newbie, or whatever, but I am in the process of throwing the baby out with the bathwater as I need to start over and spent the dollars to go through these steps with another program. the ebook was to be like a business in a box, as it were…but there were too many pieces missing. When you buy a box of jigsaw puzzle pieces, you trust that all the pieces are in the box. Well I expect the same… it is not cute or funny, but ego, and money driven to leave out the last step…I pass my recipe to you and I include all the ingredients.
By the way, this is NOT your book…
yes, I heard you about fairies… that is not what this is about. this is about trusting someone…and even with a plan, you can read the sales letter, which is designed by a professional copywriter to say the things I need to hear to move forward. so I do, and find 100 pages later, they lied, misled or whatever. that is my frustration. I am motivated, i have spent lots of money and hundreds of hours on my evenings and weekends studying and working this plan… and step by step, I am learning the lies for myself. And yet, there are many others who say the same as you….don’t buy anything else. But the next step always requires some more money, but instead of spending it once, I have to spend it several times (because, yes, the sales copy is that good and I do read between the lines with my plan in one hand and the copy in the other, checking off what I need) and I buy it with confidence and it does not do what it proports to do.
so, laugh as you might, this is not funny for any of us. You misunderstand most of the blogs and read into it laziness, lack of motivation, or wasting time. We say those things because we are not sure how to articulate he underlying issue, which is that people who say they are successful, and have testimonials, and show their pictures with their fancy cars and houses, and their peers… (all the same group)….and the sales letters say all the same things….and you are all believable…. our issues are trust.
yes, you say it as it is…but you are already there…and although most say “if I can do it, you can do it”… that is not always true. I speak for those of us who are older, learning a huge technical skill(computer literacy) working to support families (children and parents) and have to decide where the few funds we have should go. … learning the techical skills, or putting the money into the business or our retirement fund……sometimes there is not enough for both…. easy to say we could find the $5000 ( that seems to be the magic…oops there I go again… figure with those who insist we are not motivated because we have to realize these precious thousands could go to the winds…and when we have a plan, and a niche, that even so, this may not be the way to go. We are not looking for you go take our hands and do it for us. We are looking for a leader…
…
Can’t get the video – says “connecting” then “done” but nothing shows up

You are absolutely right, we’ve all been looking for the “Magic Pill” or “Silver Bullet”, believing in those old fairy tales, when in fact good Business 101 basics is really what we need.
I understand the value of writing it down. Last spring, I got clear on my passions and wrote them down – being clueless on how they would come to be. My top passion was to be an author and now 9 months later, I just finished writing my first book, “Reality TV & You – 8 Secrets to Being the DIRECTOR in Your Life’s Reality TV Show Using the Law of Attraction” – currently available as an ebook and I will be self-publishing it shortly.
Thanks for all the great advice, about being clear on your vision and to create a momentum plan. My biggest challenge has always been trying to wear all the hats – “Super Woman Syndrome” – and your Internet Manifesto was a big wake up call for me. You’re absolutely right, creating the right network or team is a great strategy.
Thanks again Rich – you ROCK!

Hi Rich,
I’m one of those people who likes to say “but, I know that already” and then do absolutely nothing with the information. All the time wondering why I’m not happy professionally. This video was very inspiring and got me to think about my procrastination habits more deeply and how I need to stop thinking so hard and just start taking action.
Thank You again.
Rich. Thanks for a great presentation. It is so refreshing to hear someone tell it like it is. No hype and no sales pitch. Like you say, “give it away and people will want to buy from you.” I am sure in your case that is really true. I have been studying lots of internet guru including Dan Kennedy, Bill Glazer, and others and I have enjoyed your presentation the most because I have learned the most about the things I need to know going forward in the information business. I have been so bogged down with information from people trying to sell me something and giving me only teaser to make me want to buy tons of materials that I don’t need and can’t use. No one out there gives a step by step approach like yours in simple and understandable terms. Everyone else expects you to be some kind of an expert and not a beginner. They want you to start, not at the beginning, but where ever they happen to be at the time. Beginning internet marketing at age 70 is not an easy task when competing with youngsters who have grown-up in the industry. I have a brick and mortor business and most, if not all, of what you presented is just as viable for it as for the internet. Thanks
Subject: \”Permission request to put the video that is in http://www.strategicprofits.com/momentumvideo/play/ in my website\”
Answer: Sure- but please use http://www.strategicprofits.com/momentumvideo link in case we redirect later.. (Strategic Profits Team)
Hi Rich Schefren,
My name is Maria Spínola, and I was for almost 2 years despaired because I was trying do succeed online and getting nowhere, until the day I did see your manifesto, and that made me realize that, like the way I was doing, I would never get nowhere.
I did develop a product ( a ebook ) about business ideas, it\’s at http://www.negocioagel.com/150ideias/1/ ( and it\’s in portuguese language ), I don\’t want to promote my product here, what I want is you to grant me permission to put the video that is in http://www.strategicprofits.com/momentumvideo/ in my website because I want all portugueses ( that understand english ), to learn what you have to teach us. It\’s so powerfull and life changing.
Thank\’s
Maria Spínola

This is certainly a roller coaster ride and I am enjoying both the ups (elation) and downs (chalenges). I understand it is all about ‘Action’ but I guess some people get so bogged down with taking the WRONG action which saps their time, money and energy.
I understand that because I have been there.
Good to here the truth though.
Hi, Rich…
Just watched the “Prescriptions” video. Stop apologizing for hurting people’s feelings. So many people want to make money and that is great. Not everybody NEEDS a business but has been helped to believe that they should and that is not great or videoworthy.
The only thing that has attracted me to listening to your stuff is the fact that you aren’t wasting time with the opportunity seekers and you seem to be a strategist.
In your free stuff lately, you keep trying to convince the non business builders that there is a vision out there for them. I get no less than 6 affilitates email about your latest and I get your email about your latest. I don’t always read the affiliates, but sometimes I do. I don’t always do yours “ontime” or the minute I get it, but sometimes I do.
Anyway, I like your stuff, but I do think you are trying to be all things to all the people who are reading your material and who are in your classroom. You don’t have to be all things to all these people… take your own advice. But please don’t dumb down the rest of it because you’re trying to teach pigs to sing. Irritating the pig and wasting your own time.
Who cares what the opportunity seeker posts on your blog today? They won’t be there tomorrow.
Maybe I’m being what some would consider rude now, but not everyone needs to consider themselves a business builder from scratch and some need to be the partners that others find who complement the strategists. If we all were the same, there would be no niches anyway.
Separate your “no focusers, no time-rs, no secret treasure finders” and all those that have “articulate your vision” as their presciption from the “skill acquisition-ers” and “weak support network-ers” who can follow steps, have vision and can test their niche and actually should be business builders.
No apology necessary to those that you are dumbing down material for and repeating yourself for just because they post to your blog.
I’ve posted twice. Thank you.
Gee, I hope I don’t get a flat tire and Patricia’s is the only car driving down the highway at the time. People who aren’t comfortable here will just drop off on their own. Those want to learn and work at it will stay. I suspect Rich knows what he’s doing and doesn’t need the advice of those who are here to learn from him. But then, we are all entitled to our opinions, aren’t we?
Just wanted to tell you that i loved the video, your honesty, bluntness, it got me exited, laughing,it was entertaining, informational, inspiring all at once.
can’t wait to see the next one, keep them coming.
Thanks Magnus G.
I agree that good to learn from successful entrepreneurs
“It doesn’t matter how many times you fail. It doesn’t matter how many times you almost get it right. No one is going to know or care about your failures, and neither should you. All you have to do is learn from them and those around you because… All that matters in business is that you get it right once. Then everyone can tell you how lucky you are.”
That is from Mark Cuban – http://www.blogmaverick.com/
Sold a computer consultancy to Compuserver for 6 million, built up broadcast.com and bought out the Dallas Mavericks…
Tony Robbins teaches the “Dickens Method” whereby you think ahead 6 months, 1 years, 5 years..without changing – for example where will you be not taking the chance and building your own business. What will you feel like, what will your health be like, what will you be missing out, when you look in the mirror what will you think… use this to fuel your motivation. Flip that around and think how your life will change if you do make the decision and make a success of it. When the why is big enough then that gives you the motivation.
The greatest lesson I took away which I “knew” but didn’t really act on is to make a decision and cut off other avenues.
I have created a document from the presentation with the screens and notes which I can turn into a PDF but not sure if ok to upload
Here’s to seeing peoples greatness no longer held hostage :)

Jay,
I cannot believe that you had the guts to say so beautifully what has been needed for so long. You have done everyone who has struggled for so long to figure out how to start an online business, and I am one of them, a great service. There is so much value in your message that I intend to get me a notebook and listen to it repeateadly and take notes. Hey, when I get through, perhaps I will have a product to sell online. That would be neat (just kidding). Anyway, thanks for the message. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the video to load, but the message is priceless.
Thank you! I felt a sense of relief after watching the video. I’ve always felt badly because I’m not raking in tons of cash yet. Yes, I have the time and money issues that everyone has. I just keep working at it day by day.
I get sick of the onslaught of new products that never help, or the ones that are selling something underhanded that might make you a quick buck but ruin your business overall. And sifting through and finding what you need right now is not always an easy task. Heck, half the time I’m not sure what exactly it is that I need right now. and I’ve spent tons of time on things that haven’t worked – I guess part of the failure you were talking about. I’ve always beleived that if I stick with it and keep learning and trying new things, I will get there.
I guess what I’m trying to say is thanks for letting me know that I’m basically on the right track, no matter how nuts my friends and family think I am, and no matter how rude certain ‘gurus’ get when you tell them their stuff doesn’t work and ask for a refund. (Not all. Many are very genuine and nice and ethical.)
My products are great. My marketing skills leave a lot to be desired. Big gaping hole there. I’m working on it! But I’m flying solo because that’s what I have to do right now. I wish I could just hire all the marketing out – but doesn’t everyone?
Isn’t that the real problem? No one really wants to be a marketer, but you have to. Maybe that part will get to be more fun when I get better at it, but right now it’s torture.
But you did say you would show us how to have more fun at it, so I’m anxiously awaiting the next installment!
Carole
Thanks again.
Thanks for the kick in the ass.
I think my biggest hurdle has been lack of focus – too many sites “almost” done…
I am shutting off my computer for the weekend, pulling out some old-fashioned paper and pen, and writing down my plan of action.
I know the steps I need to take, I just spread myself to thin.
I need to focus one ONE thing, get it completely finished and THEN move on to the next!
I appreciate the effort you’ve made to help us lesser mortals in our quest for freedom.
See you at the top!
Warmest regards,
Lisa Preston
Rich,
I can hardly wait for the next video.
Rich – You are an absolute legend!
I really needed that smack in the face. You’ve taken me out of a procrastinating limbo I was in! :)
Thank you.

Rich, just watched the video. I appreciate your honesty. Was depressed for 7 years, and then discovered that one of the most important things I could do was be honest with myself. First I was honest with myself that I was depressed. People usually don’t want to admit that. It’s like social sucide. But that’s when everything began to change.
There is no One Secret to success. It’s made up of different components and somes people will have some of those, and others will some other components.
And what if there was a book detailing every single step of the way, and people bought it. That still wouldn’t mean that they would then apply what they’re reading!
So your honesty is refreshing, and if anyone is offended by that, then they are only lying to themselves. And the worst part about lying to oneself is that eventually the person believes the lies and the lies become their reality. Seek and ye shall find. Whatever you believe is ‘true’ is what you’ll eventually find.
Thank You Rich,
Sharon
Rich
Thank you for taking the time and the expense to produce these absolutely fantastic videos. The passion you instill will surely motivate everyone of us who watch it.
I made notes as I watched and even though I have come a long way in the last two years, I’ve had one particular block but I am now going to overcome that by 1.00 pm today, which gives me six hours. I’ve just set the alarm. Now – I finally accept that if I fail, it’s no big deal, I shall just do it again and again until I succeed. (As Anthony Robbins says ‘I will not be denied’).
In the middle of reading my first autobiography. Duncan Ballantyne of Dragon’s Den program in the UK – ‘Anyone Can Do It’ – excellent book about his achievements and how, because of his financial success, he was able to help so many others in poverty stricken countries.
Maybe we are all just a few steps away from achieving our own dreams for ourselves, our families and our community as a whole. How sad if we don’t “articulate our visions” and then put the action in to achieve them – what a waste! Especially after you handing us the formula on a plate.
Thank you again Rich for the motivation and passion you put forward in these videos.
Sincerest – AnneMarie
Rich,
First of all, let me say how I think you are being truly extraordinarily generous, with giving away your pdfs and making the videos and sharing what you know. I truly believe that if I were to work directly with you, you’d FORCE me to become successful.
OK, now here’s something I’d really like to know. It seems to hint at what you call believing in ‘Adult Magic’ but I still have to ask.
You’ve probably heard of the movie “The Secret’ and I imagine you know some of the featureed people in it, Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, John Assaraf, Joe Vitale.
Well, what’s your spin on it? Is it crap, and are all these fellas somehow deluded?
In the mean time, I also want to mention, I think your idea of how a person MUST find and focus on their STRENGTHS in order to succeed in ANY business, is such an important and very much overlooked KEY to success. BUT, I also believe it’s a hard thing to know.
Because you suggested it, I went looking online for materials on finding one’s strength. I came across an article that gave an example of how hard it can be to actually KNOW one’s strengths. In it, a man who had won a pretigious award for teachers, because he was so extraordinarily good at teaching and motivating and inspiring his students and getting them to EXCEL. As it was, he was astounished at what they attributed his success to (mainly, his great EMPATHY). With very honest surprise he asked back something to the effect, “Isn’t everyone?” In other words, he didn’t think his strength — his empathy — was any big deal because he operated from it so effortlessly. And, he thought EVERYONE was like this. (Somehow he didn’t grasp how unique his STRENGTH was because he applied it so unconsciously and efforltessly.)
Look, I’m probably not conveying the idea properly. Unfortunately I can’t find the link to the story. Oh well,..
Anyway, again,. I’d really like to know your take on ‘The Secret’ and especially those people I mentioned, who are in the movie.
Phil
Thank you for the truth. I am more inspired than ever.
Rich, you’ve really done it now! You’ve made me take a hard look at all the road blocks (excuses) that have keep me from moving forward. And you’ve given me ‘permission’ to stop reading all the crap that comes to my inbox promising to be the perfect product that is going to make me instantly weathly.
Excellent video. Thanks for the tough-love! Now I get it! I hold the keys to my own success.
Beth
Heya Rich,
Thanks for just the ‘kick up the bum’ that I needed!
One thing, though, if you believe that “most information products about online success are a load of crap” (I agree btw) and you have 70 online ‘gurus’ in your client base – then I’ve got to assume that a good bunch of their products fall into this category too, right?
Thanks again and keep tellin’ it like it is.

What a GREAT WAKEUP CALL !! Yes there are still many ‘Naive’ Website Owners and Home Based Business Entrepeneurs on the Internet. Your passionate and truthful presentation will help hundreds and possibly thousands (if they listen) realize their goals with their EYES WIDE OPEN.

I particularly liked the fact that you made many of us aware that our abilities to SOLVE PROBLEMS .. is our Business as well as our talent. As long as we all treat and respect our business and make it a priority we will succeed.
Yes, there will be times when we fall down….but each time we will have the courage and conviction to get back up and DO OUR BEST WORK EVER !!
Rich I look forward to your next video and networking with you in the future.

Extremely Refreshing! Why? Yours at times naked voice; the passion and the love for what you are doing that your voice convey. Please do not stop, please keep making those video’s if you can, and show us all that you can come up with if you can.
You talk about the “magic” and the “secrets” that some people want – these secrets and this magic is in fact really something else than what we might think of at a first glance – and the real word for these secrets and magic is actually “truth”. These people believe that they will find the truth in the “secrets” and in the “magic” – while all along, all they really want is the truth it self about it all.
So then, when they actually get to see, listen to, and feel the truth, like for example, when they get to listen to your voice and your words – they instantly know that “That” is in fact what they have been looking for all along. That “That” is in fact The “Secret” and The “Magic” that they have been longing for all along…. – and this is also what it is all about – the people who are looking for the secrets and the magic, are in fact not completely wrong – since there actually IS a Secret and a Magic – which lies in being true about it all, as you yourself have shown us – and which nobody actually is telling them about – because IF the Gurus were to tell them the truth, the gurus wouldn’t be selling their stuff, as you said yourself Rich – so when You are telling us the truth (not being a Guru, but a business Entrepreneur), it is like a real secret and it is really magical. Why? Because that is in fact The Secret and The Magic of it all: To be able to transport a real message about something to somebody else with a real feeling of passion. Simply giving it all – because Then – and Only Then will people actually “buy” your message!
Why? because it is The Truth and up to now it has been a Secret and because of that it is truly Magical – and None can tell it or find it if they are not completely obsessed with it (Yes!) with real passion and glow for what they are doing right now in this moment when you forget everything else and you just love it! You Have to love it, otherwise you won’t succeed! And it is evident that You, Rich Schefren, love what you are doing – And you prove it to us, by actually claiming that You will be the one to show us the whole Truth and nothing but the truth about this whole thing! And Wow! That is Great! Keep it coming! You will actually show us once and for all that you really love Us more than you love Them! And that is “them” = the Gurus, who tell lies to make money on behalf of the so called “dummies”.
Therefore, Please, do not stop giving us these video’s, and please do not stop showing us your inner feelings about this, because that IS what most people really are looking for, that IS actually The Secret that we want and need and that IS the Magic that we long for – and that IS unfortunately also Why Not everyone will succeed, because unfortunately again, Not everyone has the right personality for making it to their individual top, but that is Not what the Gurus want us to believe. They want us to believe that we all have the same personality for this. Because If they conveyed the truth about that fact of the matter about having the right personality for this which IS essential, not many people would get into business at all!
And what one needs is not only the right personality but also education, in for example business administration, business project management and so forth – not to mention different knowledge’s in the computer area if on the Internet. Ok, I can go on and on – so Thanks Rich, keep the secrets and the magic flowing, as long as it is the truth (…and nothing BUT the truth all the way and not only to a certain point, because if you have said A, you do Not Have to say B, but it is really the more honest approach. So, if Honesty Really is what you think is your game Rich , you really do Not have a choice. Once you have let the snowball of truth rolling, you also have to say B and then you have to say C and then you have to say D and then F, G, H and so forth – and do Not think (sorry I can Also be blunt, just like you claim to be…), that You have copyright on the truth – that You are in the position to decide When and How Far the Truth should be told – because the truth is the truth and if you all of a sudden stop telling it after starting to tell it – you did never in fact tell any truth at all, since none will be able to apply it or use it, since they will lack that last missing part – AND once again, just as with the other guru’s truths: The once so glorious glowing truth will just lay there on the shelf’s and collect dust and be forgotten: That is your “truth” then!
I believe you are the real thing. But honestly Rich, are you really aware of what you are getting yourself into with this – and are you ready to take full and complete responsibility for this project with us? Because it is one thing to lead a bunch of already somewhat successful Internet gurus and businessmen or women who want to take their already successful businesses to the next million dollar level as clients – and a completely different matter of the game to mentor a bunch of beginners, or half and half beginners and older somewhat failures.
Are we in fact your new team? Are we the people in fact constituting your new organization to build Your new product line, for example the Strategic Profits Products, perhaps? Are we in fact your new Army of Affiliate’s??? Are you in fact recruiting in the back of your mind?
If you are really ready to do this project with us till the end Without (and that is important) Without knowing what so ever where it will lead you and without any preconceived ideas about it all of your own part in it, but the truth – We will surely adore you for ever and you will be our king. And we are many – many million’s of people who get in on the Internet every day. Think of the potential – think of that, but do not think strategically, think of value.
Hi Rich
A crystal clear message has emerged from this latest video:
I must face reality, follow my passion, and build my business round that … instead of being seduced by the latest quick opportunity.
Better still, even though these insights are sent through the mass medium of internet video, they still come across as very personal revelations … as if they had come from a private mentor just for me.
Amazing.
This has been a big shake up for me that has made me ask the question of myself – “In 20 years, will I be proud of what I am doing now?”
Think about it. I did.
Insights greatly appreciated Rich.
Jonathan Gunson
Wow Rich, really had my eyes opened. Thanks for your honesty!
Leverne Rohrback
Wow, you got me on several of my excuses! Thank you – I needed to hear it from someone else. And I appreciate the clear, simple guidance on what to do about it.
Technical feedback: This video played perfectly (maybe cause I’m watching it late while everyone else is watching tv!) unlike the last one which froze halfway through. Nothing personal about watching you in the previous videos, but I love the slide format of this video as it was easy to read and take notes. Speaking of notes – I took 5 pages and it feels like my hand is gonna fall off. I usually prefer to read as many videos move too slowly but you talk fast, the pace was excellent and the whole video was packed full of information. Perfect!
I’m not doing anything like “how to make a million on the internet” but this presentation reminds me to be extra sure to provide great value in everything I do. Would appreciate any more info you can give on providing value and being ethical. Will be referring others to your site and I can’t wait to see your next release. Thanks for everything!
Rich,
Your videos have been most helpful. I now have a better idea of what I want to focus on and am eagerly awaiting the next session. Thank you so very much.
Do you know that the word “passion” has a second meaning? The word “passion” also means “suffering”.
Rich: Once again awsome presentation. I am so grateful to have become a client. I am greatful to know that success is a process. If I don’t take the appropriates steps in the order perscribed I may make a little money and perhaps even a lot but I will not be building a business that will one day set me free. I am successful today because I am taking the steps one at a time to insure my business will be of value to my customers. I am in the foundation stage and no longer am pressured to just get something up and going so I can make money now. I most likely could have made a lot of money if I was willing to resale crap to people but that has never been my motiss of operation.
I am so greateful that you are such a tweak and have that undying desire to learn all that there is to know about building a great business that can run without you. Because you and your team as my mentors have done years of work to perfect your knowledge to cut out all the crap and short cut paper it to us. Years of learning cut down to approximately one year for us.
I am also so very greatful that you really do care about the people who can not afford to be your clients and keep giving out such good information to them for free. I have never had a problem promoting Strategic Profits to anyone. Your true mentoring spirt reaks from every thread of your being. And a special note to Debbie and your little daughters, “Thank you so much for being the kind of person Debbie who is willing to give up so much of your husband to all of us.” You must be a very special person. Hugs (Tenderspirit)
Rich,
Just finished listning to your vidio. I enjoyed your approach on explaining what it takes to be successful in an internet business. I kind of fall in a lot of those catorgiores, but luckily I have a business. My problem is trying to move my present business to the web. I have tried a couple of different approaches and failed, but I know it is just a matter of time before I find the right information, programs and people to make this work. I am looking to start a blog and explain what problems and solutions I have encounted so far. Hopefully your approach will be what I need to get my web site up and running again. I normally do not comment on these video’s. But I enjoyed yours and wanted to let you know.
Thanks, George
Well, Rich, you certainly haven’t pulled any punches with your latest ‘Prescriptions’ video :-) …. and you give a timely warning ….there’s even more :-)
I wonder how many will try to shoot the messenger – or at least have target practice? Not advisable, seeing your present form – shooting straight from the hip – no prisoners taken.
It’s gonna be a love-hate relationship – you haven’t left much room in between (though this may change)…just like the internet.
I enjoyed the presentation – energetic – direct – contentious – educational marketing.
Thanks for sharing….. I’m gonna jump onto ‘building momentum’ asap :-)
Just watched the Rx and I was laughing my butt off about 3/4 the way thru! It was great “Doc”, and if you offended anyone, I think they needed the shake-up.
Thanks for the wonderful insights; you made my day because I needed a good laugh. kdccmb
Excellent presentation. The questions emphasise how our education system ,and in many cases, our early influences don’t encourage us to develop a personal vision. We are instead “trained” to fantasise about winning the lottery, follow rules, fit in and spend our lives in ‘jobs’. (J.O.B. Just Over Broke.) Hence your earlier comments about the ‘employee mentality’. It seemed to me that most of the questions were examples of that. Our conditioning certainly runs deep. For me the key question is; what’s so sacrosanct about spending our time and energies making others rich?
I realised as I watched the presentation that once I’ve developed a personal business vision, one that is so exciting, even irresistable, that I’m motivated to take action come what may, then most of the questions you covered simply cease to be significant obstacles but rather incidental issues to be resolved. I’m determined to keep working at developing an idea and plan that inspires me to confront the inevitable risks involved.
I clikced on your link usinf firefox and nothing happened dont no why? ill try again later on.
thanks anyway.
chris
I love your passion Rich! I think most entrepreneurial types like to be told straight. I hate bullsh*tters and I offend people all the time in business as I give my honest opinion and don’t sugar coat my answers (although I don’t unecessarily offend or hurt people). Your latest video was fantastic as it did just that, and gave me a much needed kick up the ass. Thankyou.
Great work! Finally somebody’s being honest about “reality”. I’ve got to say “that” is the one of the biggest challenges for a lot of people / businesses in our society today. -I know, I’ve had some issues there as well. It’s really hard being honest to oneself, and doing the right things, no matter what.
Great points made rich, you hit the jackpot on that one.
/Petri
Fantastic. I really like the kick-ass way you just say it straight. We all need to hear this once in a while to remind us of the realities of running our own businesses. I’ve been living on a diet of procrastination and fear and just recently decided to dump it for action. I cannot even begin to explain how different I feel as a person. I know I’ll make it now, no matter how many times I have to pick myself up and dust off after falling.
Thanks
Rich:
Confidence arguably is the most important factor in business building. One of the programs that Jack Canfield sources and promotes is “The Secret” (www.thesecret.tv), a program teaching the idea that we become what we think about. Thoughts are vibrations, and those vibrations attract to us all things in our existence, whether negative or positive.
If we think we are a success, we become that success, and, on the other hand, if we think we can’t do something or are a failure, the Universe answers our thoughts with the exact things to make those thoughts come about in our reality. As Buddha said: “All that we are is the result of what we have thought,” a truly eye-opening and mind-opening statement that we can live by.
Napoleon Hill and Clement Stone wrote about this natural ability. to dwell on what we want, making our thoughts conform to what it is that we want, and then realizing our desires in our own reality. There are unlimited resources in the Universe, so our desires never attempt to take away what someone else has, but tap into that limitless source to form our own abundant lifestyle.
The only point I am making is that you are right in saying we must focus on the few things that matter relative to any business start-up or on-going concern. That focus is what makes it happen, as long as we stay focused, failures notwhithstanding. In fact, life is a series of opposites, so we cannot experience success without the failures to show us what we don’t want.
Personally, I have had my share of failures, but each one has forced me to bring my thoughts and actions back to my main goal, which is building a business that will provide me with a life-long passive income. All the components are contained within your seminars, and are exactly what the Internet Doctor prescribes!

Thanks so much for all the straight talk, Rich! As a newbie, trying to break into internet marketing, I’ve found just the sheer volume of “how-to get rich on the internet” products overwhelming and, while a lot of the information overlaps, each Guru also leaves out many of the basic steps, or perhaps they just assume their readers have more experience with the content they are presenting…it can be frustrating, just starting out and trying to get all of the puzzle pieces to align.
I appreciate what you’ve done, what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. You are a modern day philanthropist – and its now up to us, the populace to use the information and better ourselves or not, as we see fit.
I for one look to better myself and am eagerly awaiting further videos.
Great, Rich! (stands up and applauds)
Thank you for being so blunt. If we’re not successful as entrepreneurs, then it is probably due to at least one of the excuses you outlined here. The truth hurts only if it should, so this is a definite wake-up call!
I really valued your advice on reading the biographies of successful entrepreneurs, instead of sales hype. Also, the thought of wasting 20 years of my life “pretending you have a business” so horrified me that I vowed I would do whatever it takes to prevent that.
Sincere thanks,
Karen
This video sounds awesome and I would love to watch but can’t get it to work in Firefox or IE. Is there an MP3 in the near future Rich? Thanks for all of your previous “First Rate” stuff!!!
This was a great video, it makes me know that I am on the right track. I am a very hard worker with plenty of vision and have been an enterpreneur in my own business. I have made many mistakes and even had a bussiness go under, which became a learning experience in itself. In the meantime 33 years of experience in my feild I am certain that I can create and run a problem solving business on the internet. These videos have been immensley informative and encouraging,so I am looking forward to the next one! My website should be up and running in the next week, I can’t wait!

Rich, You’ve hit the nail on the head again! Now I have to get up off my lazy, information overloaded, attention deficient butt and Get Moving! Many thanks for your honesty and for keeping me pointed in the right direction. You can also add me to the list of those awaiting the mp3 version.
I loved it ! We all need a coach, a mentor , to point out our “deficiencies” , weaknesses , the potholes along the way . The great Coaches have “fire in the belly” and instill passion, clarity and motivation. Thank you for not pulling any punches, telling it like it is, speaking the truth…………and giving us a sprinkling of Vince Lombardi ! I am not offended in the least .
Hi Rich…well..its about time time someone had the balls to come out and say it…what is being sold out there is a lot of CRAP!…and what you had to say in this first video kinda gave me a nice jolt…so..let s get on to the next one!! Time to roll up the sleeves…and lets go!
Thanks so much!

I just want to thank you for sharing this information with me. I am beginning to think of you and Strategic Profits as a strategic partner. Thank you for your help in clarification of the basics. I believe your methods will be instrumental in moving me in a successful direction. I get it!!! I work alone so association with the right inspiration, based on truth, is important. Thank you again.
BRAVO! Rich….. you hit the nail on the head. There is NO “magic bullet” and there ARE so many people that believe that there is. We need more people like you to spread the truth and we all need to understand that anything you want to do in life to achieve success will take WORK. But that is not a bad thing or a negative – in fact, it is a very POSITIVE statement.
You have given us the tools to get going and to WORK on our success. Thank you so much and I hope you will continue to pass along your knowledge and experience – because for me, it truly has helped me to MOVE FORWARD and look forward to my success.
Thanks again!!
This was one of the best overviews of building a business online I’ve seen or read. Great info, great content and very insightful. I’ve always wanted to talk with someone who’s actually built a multi-million dollar business on-line. Thanks for the seminar.

Choices! I am certainly glad I made the choice to open your video today!
Being fustrated by the immense informational products being hawked
daily, I now will delete without apprehension.
The most enlighting of the video for me, was that I was the so called “guru”
30 years ago when there was no mentor for my start-up business.
Your video has allowed me to reflect on what has made a successful person
in all aspects of life…Honesty…Determination…Integrity…
Thanks,
Great video. It really tells it like it is, no sugar coating. The time for excuses is over. It is put up or shut up time. Reminds me of the saying “Everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die.”
If we truly want to be successful, it is going to take work and sacrifice, but when you get there it is going to be great.
What are the top ten greatest benefits that you have experienced from becoming successful. Thanks, Rich. Can’t wait for the program.
Having the same problem as the other videos and can not view for some reason. Can you make a download available please?
I greatly enjoyed your video. I know, from my personal experience, that you tell the truth and I believe more people should practice it on a daily basis. Do keep on the good work.
I do have one problem I’ll be happy to hear your advice on. I find it very difficult to stay motivated and entusiastic about my business (it is a succesful one, but…) in face of difficulties and obstucles. I admit my familly and close friends never backed me up altough they all admit they admire me for my achievments. I know, again from my experience, that staying entusiastic and motivated is a key factor in my success but my inner resources seem to dry out. I’ll appriciate you addressing this issue on your next video.
Thanks Rich
BTW
You promissed a score card on your video that I didn’t see!
Thanks again,
Aviva
I enjoyed the information on the video. I would like to know how difficlut it was to work with Camtasio to create the graphics and other visuals with the audio backdrop for the overall presentation.
Fantastic stuff. Reminded me to set goals and stay focused.
HI Rich great Video and you are really taking The E Myth revisited to the next step ;-)
Great Ideas and true, looking forward to the Journey ;-) and next Video.
Vision, Focus, Small steps / Kaizen and slowly go towards freedom!!
Hey Rich,
Since you mentioned American Idol… so will I. (It’s the ONE TV show I watch all year long.) Here’s my impersonation of Randy as I comment on your videos,…..
“Yo dawg, check it out. You did your thing man, and you were the BOMB! It was HOT, Original, and you made it your own! Right now in this venue, you are the truth that everyone else has to measure up to. This was my favorite performance from you since I’ve met you and have been watching you. You’ve found your voice and it’s all you man. Keep up the good work!”
ok, translated…. these videos and all the info you’re telling straight up is so clear, concise and well formatted/presented, it more than makes up for past indiscretions of …… well no need to repeat the past.
Just know, how much I appreciate what you’re offering and I’m looking forward to the product intro this is all leading up to.
Thanks again….. and remember, “You’re the Bomb!”
Blessings,
Kara
Hi Rich,
That was fantastic and I was able to laugh at the comments that reflected my experiences.
I am looking forward to being able to get the scorecard and watch the next video.
I also learnt so much from your startup to freedom video. I also felt very in synch as we both used the same highway to freedom imagery.
Is the scoredarcd a version of the Charles Schwab formula? At the end of each day list the 6 most important things you need to do that will move your business forward? from Think and Grow Rich I think
Thankyou for your vision
Suzie Cheel
Good video. Two statements really stood out. That one was to grow comfortable with uncertainty. The second comment I really liked was that we are suffering from overexposure to internet marketing sales letters. Yes, I need to embrace both ideas. I have always been comfortable with some level of uncertainty but my current financial situation has raised the level of uncertainty and I’ve really been getting cold feet about proceeding.
Also, I’ve posted on a couple of the forums about internet marketing/affiliate sales, etc and while a lot of people say it’s all hot air, I have had people say “I really am making $100 or so a day and it’s not that hard.” When some people are saying that calmly and the internet marketers are talking about easy money, it’s very hard not to think — well if I could get this going, I’d have less financial pressure.
I look forward very much to the scorecard. I do know that writing things down and charting progress is an excellent way of not getting lost along the way. When I was writing my ebook, I worked out how many sections I had to get done, my target end date and that worked out to finishing a section every 2 or 3 days. I got it done — yes the yard was a pigsty, the laundry was a heap and I missed paying a couple credit card bills on time, BUT… it did get done!!
Rich,
Wow, that was a fantastic video. When you can stand up as a professional business man and tell your hungry subscribers that this is no easy road, you deserve a pat on the back many times over. People need to hear the real truth and after hearing it are willing to press forward, more power to them. Thanks Rich and I will be eagerly waiting to see your next one!!
G’day Rich,
Thank you so much for taking the time to put together such great videos. And even going to the extra trouble of getting people to identify their own hurdles and providing an insight as to how they can overcome them.
I really am so grateful for all the information you are providing for free, it is really inspiring and compelling. I feel as though I now have the knowledge to really do it this time – to really get out there and build a biz that sets me free! For so long I’ve been working in my business not on it and have always known that I wasn’t actually setting myself up for freedom.
So for a while there I struggled as I tried to develop an action plan – one that had my own freedom as the goal. I was doing ok but hitting lots of hurdles (which life bowls at you no matter what – obviously for me to learn what I need to in this amazing journey called ‘Life’).
You know the saying everything happens for a reason? Well I really believe that because it’s been from signing up to some crappy mailing lists (which I’ve now unsubscribed from) and getting emails about other information products that I somehow came to yours. And the thing is you’ve come at the perfect time in my life.
For so long I’ve been trying to do it all myself, I’m turning 21 this year (I know still got a lot of life ahead of me!) and I have read and studied all the famous success & biz books – and it’s not until I received your input that I really feel as though I have the knowledge that will propel me to accomplishing my dreams!
Thanks again so much Rich and team – You’ve really changed my life!
PS I’m now not just a wannabe entrepreneur but am following the steps to installing the virtues to become the ‘real deal’ thanks to you..
Cheers!
- Luke
Great video Rich, your content and delivery is superb with emphasis on every detail that has clearly stated the mistakes in my personal attitudes towards building my business, I agree in every aspect of the various heading mentioned and I sincerely hope to accept your views on procrastination is the thief of time and disregarding unnecessary information and products purchase offers in email. Thanks for your help and efforts in clarifying all that matter in the startup plan.
My hat off to you. That video was the absolute best thing that I have listened to since being online and that is now over 10 years. I really liked the clarity of your purpose and the “no bull” talk. How refreshing…
It has been a real experience for myself with being online for over 12 hrs a day 5 plus a week for 10 yrs. Oh, yes I know almost everything there is about the Internet. And, if there is a resource or a tool that a business needs, I know where to find it. But, now talk about focus. You came just at the right time.. how is that I haven’t found you before..
“when the student is ready the teacher will appear”.
Here is the one thing that I know at this point, I am following EVERY POINT of your video and can hardly wait for more.
Thanks for your blog too.
No matter what it is you are trying to achieve, in life, business, family, you have to have that VISION, the dream, the END RESULT and focus on it, EXCELLENT summation of all the issues you deal with in your mind!
That is where we go wrong, we don’t make it a priority, whether it is your belief system, lack of confidence, or mostly lack of ACTION, Just Do It!, learn as you go along & enjoy the ride as long as you are heading in the direction of your goal.
Critical aspect you reinforced was the “Idleness syndrome”, dive in, be active, but effective rather than just productive and results will eventuate.
Prioritising your time to “fit it all in”, business, family, friends, and your BIG VISION, extra time & money!! – Just DO It!
Thanks
hi
definately sraight forward information…thanks for validating some of my own suspecions as well as pinpointing some of my problems. As a new small bus owner ,alot of what I heard applied to me ..esp in regard to the internet..I have encountered 2types while looking for advice and help online…both honest and dishonest types. But I couldn’t have found the great mentors I have without having gone through the ripp off artists. I do still struggle trying to figure out who is honestly trying to help and who is trying to steal a buck.I got off subject.
anyway, thank you for honesty
I can’t wait to have my business take off and ..I can ensure you that I will help the little guy succeed…payback for those that helped me.
Hi Rich,
I have been working with computers over 10 years now. In the last 5 years I have also been working on awakening and developing my creative potential and in 2005 my eyes opened to the fact that the business world rewards those who are dedicated, proactive, creative, resilient, tenacious and results oriented, so having discovered who I am, I chose to leave full time employment and start full time “minding my own business” I begun building strong foundations and learn all there is to know about Internet marketing,
(by the way, full time eployment was hell and a struglle for me, because I was overqualified creatively for every job I did)
I did all the activities online with a mindset of a self employed who is does everything him self because he knows how to do it best. (lol) Having watched the videos, now the dragon is free :) looking to create opportunities and to solve problems, by attracting and engaging suitable others who will love my vision and mission.
I can really hear you when you say “if you want it bad enough” there are no excuses, success is the only option, especially when you strat thinking properly and shift your perception.
Having watched all your videos, I feel fed with juicy, fresh, yammy and strong healthy food.
Thank you!
Rick; I am iimpressed with your forthrightness. We all need to hear honest opinon about the facts you have presented to us . I can only echo the many expressions of thanks from others. Keep on with your course of action. Thank You for your effort work and caring. Ray
Thanks, Rich. Kudos for your straight-forward approach. Keep telling it like it is. I’m looking forward to hearing more and plan on using your perscriptions in my own line of work.
It’s been like 30 minutes and the my browser still hasn’t shown the video. Could you please give me a download link?
That will REALLY help.
Thanks for all the great stuff you’ve provided in the past. Look, you must start a new training class soon!
I found the video interesting because I know little or nothing about marketing. I am an investor in three internet businesses, have several clients with internet aspects to their businesses and I am a clinical psychologist.I have written a book. I have a successful practice and was referred to you by clinical psychologist friends. I would like to help those businesses I am invested in and they seem to like my opinions and ideas. Videos are good and also very time consuming and I have a full life so it is hard to make time to watch videos especially since I like to take notes. You mentioned a book. How would I get that?
Thanks, Carol
Rich
Right on – you sum up succinctly my views. You also show me the way to go. FYI -am starting to implement the start up strategies outlined -which make perfect sense.
Only one thing extra, not addressed as yet, is timing. Meaning that every factor affecting the business deal, or project start ,up has to be in place to gain success.
In my career, which spans many years, some successes and lots of failure – timing appears to be one of the essential ingredients.
Perhaps you could comment, sometime whether you agree.
I loved the video. And I’m definitely one of those folk who sometimes gets in by sales letters focusing on my insecurities in regards to reaching online success. You hit the nail on the head with so many different topics. I just unsubscribed from 8 different newlsetters and will not spend another cent on “crap”. Good-bye to information overload! Woohoo!!
I was also confused about the Score Card. I ran a search on the blog for it – in case I missed something but am not able to find it… so I’m gathering it’s in the next video.
I feel motivated and inspired… thanks so much
They say the truth hurts and your video hurts. At least three times I realised that it was me you were talking about. (Well it felt like it because I am guilty of at least some of the symptoms you described). I thought I was reasonably successful but now I realise I could be doing so much better so can’t wait for the next
video.
Hell, I didny even realise I was ill till I saw the video but now I want the treatment.
Many thanks Rich it is appreciated.
I discovered all this internet marketing B/S after I’d already built and started to market online, and I was shocked at all the get-rich-while-you-sleep products out there. It was sad to see that people were buying into that dream, which of course will only lead to recurring nightmares.
It’s just as great to see someone breaking through the mire and telling it as it is. All respect to you and your team Mr Schefren!
Great work Rich,
Of course, the content is real, truthful and sincere.
But, allow me comment on the way you are delivering your message. Bottom line, the format of your message and the overall presentation has a profound impact on your audience. What you will find out sooner than later (which, I think you already know), you are helping people create Results by making us Think for ourselves! Motivating us, too. Oh yes, you are also creating customers for life, I love it!
Looking forward to your next message, and the next and the next.
Brilliant Rich, thank again for helping me. Got to go and re-write my Vision. I’ts Clean up time, I am motivated and excited to get my business and life in the right direction and to raising them to the next level!
Best regards,
Michael
Hey Rich,
This is groundbreaking stuff. Its plain mind-blowing.
If one doesn’t succeed after following your advice, he should seriously consider another profession. But I have not been able to view the whole presentation…
The problem is, the video streams live. SO I can’t let it load completely or partially, and then rewind and play it all back. I have to view it while it plays – in real time. And its kinda difficult for people on a slower connection. I can only hear you in ‘bits and pieces’ after long pauses…
And considering the video will be well over 100 Mb’s, its difficult to view it like this.
I have only been able to view parts of it. (Same goes for the first two videos as well. But at least I had their MP3 reordings. So I could at least ‘listen’ to the info – without the slides).
Rich, we defenitely cannot afford to miss out on info like this. Could you please please please use some other player, which allows the vidoes to load, so we can at least let the videos load and then rewind and listen…
Or if you could provide the audios along with the slides, even that would be great. Please do include the slides along with the audio this time. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease. We would miss-out on a lot without the slides.
Kindly do something that will be suitable for all of us.
Ouch…..but no apologies, Rich. You are right on target with the excuses and issues. You have cleared a path through the jungle. Thank you for your great messages and I look forward to your coming programs. Cheers! LS.
Thank you — a wonderful act of generosity. I’m quickly trimming my subscriptions to other info and am fired up to kick some butt.
Tom
Rich,
That was great! Look forward to receiving the Scorecard and the Protocol.
Thanks,
Neal
More questions occur as I consider all the aspects of building a business – what about intellectual property and security?
Personally I create software but of course there are others that have the same issue – property or services that can be stolen, misused or abused. How do you (or others you have coached) address the issue of having people on the “inside”.
Love the video Rich,
The mindset of the video works very well with how I have been building my websites. I have been documenting the steps I take from research, creation, marketing and maintenance. This way when I build the next website I don’t just stare at the screen for 30 minutes wondering what’s next.
This also helps me when I am having a busy family day and I have just have a few spare minutes I can look at my list and complete two or three steps efficiently. Even with these distracting days I feel I moved forward with my business.
What really interested me in your video was the scorecard you referred to. You mentioned it would be available at the end of the video and I didn’t notice any links to it.
Could you please advise? I think it would be another great tool to help maximize efficiency.
Nice Blog as well as nice video.
I agree with the things you said in the momentum video. I feel that a lot of business owners don’t really know where they would like to take there business. “They don’t have a vision or a plan of attack”. This is the very first step. You can’t build a house without a foundation and this is what most entreprenuers lack………………………………
The Internet Marketing Genius, Carael Knight
Hi RIch:
i really appreciate your honesty. I have to say that i spend a heck of a lot of time trying to stay up to date with Internet Marketing as presented by the “gurus”.
And if i am honest, i’d say that 90% of my success is due to what i already knew.
What i got from your presentation is that i need to keep remembering my vision, and taking action. If i did that, i would be saving a heck of a lot of time barking up other people’s trees.
thanks

Rich,
Fantastic presentation. I wouldn’t classify it as eye-opening, but extremely informative nonetheless. It’s helped me to further analyze my business to try to determine the areas I’m falling short in. I will be revisiting your momentum series and I look forward to the next video when we can learn more about the ’scorecard’ you mentioned several times.
Thanks!
Hi Rich,
I am greatefull for the work you do and share with others, so we can learn from those withe experiense like you. Hope you will continue to share of your knowledge more and more in the future. This will help us to make our dreams come true.
Many Thanks!
Rich –
Just listened to your Prescriptions presentation. Outstanding. Looking forward to the “It’s A Load Of Crap” presentation.
I have concluded that it’s that ‘vision’ thing. “I want to make a lot of money” isn’t a vision, but that’s the reason a lot of us get into home-based businesses. “More time off,” “no long commute” or “I hate my boss” aren’t visions, and they won’t sustain a newbie or provide the incentive to persevere.
Peak Potentials differentiates: Your ‘mission’ is the internal reason, the cause, the real motivator. The ‘vision’ is the real-world vehicle that is used to complete the mission.
In this ADD culture, we get swallowed up in negativity or flush our dreams by believing they can never happen, so what’s the use. What America needs is its faith back, and hopefully entrepreneurs will lead the charge. As Peale (I think) said, life is worth LIVING …. but most of us just endure.
Anyway, there’s lots of stinkin’ thinkin’ out here, and overcoming it is a monumental task. Once the mission and vision are clear, however — once the soul is captured — I believe the rest are like dominoes.
You believe it, too. Practically every prescription starts with “What is your vision?” Get clear on your vision. Know what you want to accomplish.
Thanks for the good work.
Best,
Steve
Well done Rich:-)
It’s a pleasure to see how you are both willing AND able
to get down to the CORE roadblocks that often hold back sincere
online people.
Your empathy is also duly noted.
Your simple format of clearly articulating the problems
people are experiencing and then stating the Rx solution is
well thought out. (eg:clear vision:-)
I for one…look forward to your next videos and future insights.
Keep em coming and be well,
Larry “Jake” Jacobs
Hey Rich
Powerful stuff man. I don’t really know what else to say. Even though we’ve never talked personally I see you as a mentor. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing what you come out with in the future.
Thank you very much for all of the knowledge and great information you provide.
I highly recommend all of your products and training.
Great stuff, but…
I can’t wait for your next video, and I really can’t wait to meet you some time in live!
Thanks God I’m not suffering from the diseases you explained on the video. My web application development company is just getting momentum and I want to learn much-much more from you, even if it’s not free :-)
We developed a state of the art saas (software as a service) tool, that has several integrated components: webanalitycs, autoresponder (but with way more functionality than the average ones) and affiliate tracking. We have now 150 clients here in Hungary, mainly small companies and a few big one, and we are just starting to translate the whole system to english (since it is only hungarian yet).
So we are looking forward to your next free AND non-free stuff and to learning from you – hopefully soon in person too!
Thanks again, Rich!
LOVE YOUR HONESTY!!!! Thank you for telling it like it is. Everybody still wants something for nothing – the formula is still the same, hard work, consistency, long hours, disappointments, but in it for the long haul.
Rich, mano te mano I feel like I’ve been slapped, punched, hosed and towel dried. Thank you so much for opening the window and letting in some fresh air. I’m ready to pick myself up and march on. I’ve been reading your stuff for a few months now at the prodding of some of your successful students. I’ll pass your word on and pray it sinks into my stiff necked thick skull. Looking for more direction and I’ll get out there and make my mistakes count. jm
You are absolutely correct! Most people think they can buy a “Quick fix” to their money woes. I have been reading everything i can get my hand on, and have been trying to implement it. I have learned how to icrease my page rank in google using blogs and back linking, and now I’m working on affiliate marketing. I work two jobs, but when i come home, i sit in front of the puter, and try to learn some more, or update my blogs, or, affiliate sites. Great vieo, looking forward to the next.
Well good recording. Wow you mentioned a scorecard. I’m only commenting because a man who was one of the best in a home business I still work had a score system. He categorized everything necessary to be successful in that business. More points towards the more important things in the business. You had to have a certain amount of points each week. So if you did the more important things it helped your weekly score get where it needed to be quicker. But do not forget the smaller scoring things that need to be done also. It made him very successful. Would be interested in what kind of scorecard you have. In fact this is something I think I will implement for myself. Just an added way to keep me on track. Just another way to kick that dirty p word out on the curb. Yes I mean PROCRASTINATION. Just sharing a thought: Lou from http://www.fun-working-from-home.com.
Hey Rich, I enjoyed your NoBS approach Masterpiece to building a successful business. It just getting better starting from your first manuscript of the Manifesto I never learned so much about what it takes to build a real successful business until I studied & implementing your work. Looking forward to all your future work..

An interesting video. I have dial up and the vieo would not buffer. I finannly had to shut off.
Selling Internet marketing material has never been anything that interested me. Information overload is not an issue for me. From what I have seen of most of the material. It contains a great eal of bad information. I have had three years and an unlimited amount of time to examine it. Always some wiz bang information that was created by an illiterate individual who could not pass 8th english on their best day
I have never had and grand plan of being an Internet millionaire. I have had much more mosest plans. After three years I have not made a dime for thousands of hours of effort. I know SEO and my site is SEO optimized traffic 100 a day or more but the traffic has never produced a dime.

My sites are affilliate/adsense sites in different niches. I believe you said it’s better if the sites are in the same niche. Should I try to focus more in one area and let the others go eventually and are affilliate/adsense sites lucrative enough to apply these principles? Thanks, Dave
This is truly been a blessing to me. No one has ever been this honest as far as informing me about the truth of online businesses. The truth of the matter is that the majority of online business are a load of crap. It really doesn’t take a genious to figure that we have been scammed out of our hard earned money searching for the impossible dream. Thank you for the information and video. I look forward to viewing what you have in the near future.
Andre’
Wow! Thanks Rich for your clarity.
Appreciate your clarity in separating the essential from the inessential. Your videos couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I just finished my strategic business plan for the next year and am excited as the momentum is beginning to build. I appreciate your enthusiasm and generousity. Look forward to your products this year.
In Appreciation,

Rich,
It is very comforting in the way that you want to help others to build a business that would make then money online. I appreciate your honesty and generourisy. I am very eager and not lazy-I just don’t know where to start. I am a newby but willing to learn.
This video is also quite an insperation and I do believe with your guidance I am going to be a big success!!! I am enthusiastic about it all! Im looking forward to what’s coming next.
Question: From whom or where did you get your inspiration in the very, very beginning of your success?
Tx again!
Anita
if i had more advice like this, things would have gone a little more smoothly for me many years ago.
as such i deceded to give most if not all IM guru’s a miss, and concerntrate on what i want to do, and things have been good.
keep it up Rich!
Loved the part about how all these internet marketing products are 100% hype and bullsh** I couldn’t stand it and unsubscribed from all Internet marketing newsletters, because they’re just feeding everyone a bunch of crap. Selling the information is fine, but tell the truth about it, you’ll learn something, a little extra to add to your knowledge, that’s it.
None of that’s stuff will make you any money. What makes you money is your own imagination, desire, persistence and all the stuff that Rich calls ‘a bit Hokey’.
Good way to take advantage of the backwards internet marketing opportunist thing that has been going on the past few years by telling people the truth, making money is serious business and takes serious work, ambition and personal improvement.
Another great video – I’m holding my breath for the next one!
The fact that you built the video based on blog feedback was a super idea!
Really like your format – the prescription is idea is great.
OK–so…anyone in their 30’s or more knows this stuff. Hope your next video and coaching have more substance.
BRAVO about time.
Good Stuff!
Rich,
This is a great video and has helped me re-focus.
It’s not a how to video but then again how could it be.
People wont find all their answers in one place but your video sure gives them a foundation in their search.
Unable to download video from this link or from the email link. I’ve tried several times to do it. Guess I’ll never see it.
Not able to download video from this link either tried several times, only one i managed to see was the one on google.
Rich,
Each time you release a video, I expect to be able to dismiss it as a shallow marketing attempt to sell your coaching program.
And each time I am wrong.
Congratulations on what I consider your best video yet.
Here’s the shame of it: so many people are watching these videos and completely missing the point. And you’re not even HIDING the point! You’ve put it right out there in plain sight.
What amuses me (and if I were you , what would annoy me) is the people that comment on this blog with criticisms that can be summed up as: “Everyone knows this already.”
Really?
Everyone knows it?
Gosh, that’s funny. Then why isn’t everyone DOING it? In fact, an interesting exercise would be to have all the people using the “everyone knows this already” criticism to show us their financials.
My guess is that only a very small number of them can show any real business success. And for those people, I would submit that they consider the idea that what comes easily to them does not come easily to most people — and that “everyone” does NOT in fact “know it already”. Once can be forgiven for crediting “most people” with more knowledge than they actually have, so I have nothing against these already-successful folks.
My further guess is, though, that MOST people leveling this criticism at you are NOT successful with their online business, and that leads to a question…
…should we take “success advice” from people who aren’t successful?
Hi, Rich. Thank you so much for releasing this video. There were several times during the video that I lept from my chair and shouted, “Yes! That’s absolutely right!” It was so good to hear.
All this stuff to me is standard advice. It’s what I’ve been doing. The thing is, I haven’t succeeded yet. And it can get depressing sometimes. I need to hear this advice (again and again) from someone who has succeeded. And to hear that yes, it does seem like a lot of work, because it is a lot of work. This doesn’t mean I’m doing it wrong. And to hear him say, “It’s okay to fail. You’re going to fail. Everybody fails at least once before they succeed”…
I really needed that. Thanks.

Rich, thanks for telling it like it is. We need to have more honesty and accuracy to know what is really required to “live the American Dream” through any business, especially Internet Marketing.
Rich
I felt the need to come back and express my grattitude again from another angle, to make sure I get understood correctly.
Watching your videos has helped me to understand deeply the truth that…
“a profitable business is the direct result of the intelligent and most efficient application of power” (power = energy+time+money)
Thanks once again,
Great work and inspiration Rich!
Ps.
Generosity is contagious.

the video was great, i am surely on to something here, the problem with people is that they spend more time fantasizing about the business and look for the easy way out when obstacles show up.i am truly energized and know i am on the right path.i really look forward to the next video.thanks for inspiring me to do more.
I am a web developer. fyi: your flash stream has some delivery issues. i stream content from a flash streaming site for our company and my own computer with all video codecs loaded etc and never run into the issue your delivery mechanism is doing. it appears you designed the player portion yourself which is cool and all, but the stream, once interrupted appears to be unable to recover.
cheers matt
Rich,
Thanks for the GREAT video. I absolutely love your no nonsense approach! The videos are all great and full of very useful information to keep me focused! I sometimes get into the information overload area and I will definitely be setting up rules in my inbox to avoid this in the future.
Hey Rich!
I am so glad you are “tellin’ it like it is”.
I have really respected you, your honesty, and your knowledge since the Jay Abraham, Stephen Pierce, and yours mastermind group that I participated in.
Thanks for the dose of reality and I am looking forward to the next video… but of course I will be moving forward on my JV in the meantime :)

Outstanding presentation. Just what I needed. You opened my eyes as to where my entrepreneural thinking has been wrong. Some of the things you said I already knew but now I know what I should do get the ball rooling because of your inshights. Don’t ever think that you will offend me by your presentations because I need some sense knocked in my head. Please keep it coming. Daniel
The amazing reality of all that you have said Rich, is that I have heard this truth before. No, I am not taking anything away or have an attitude of apathy, it is the fact that when anyone speaks the truth, it stands on its own merits.
These are bench marks from the past (as you bring out from other entreprenuers) and I find myself embarressed as I hear you bring them back. It feels good inside to know that I might be heading in the right direction although very slowly.
Thank you for your generousity and the willingness to reach out to us. I submit to this great cloud of witnesses who are active (not dead, even if they feel like it) that I too am guilty of all that Rich has spoken to in the last video.
I am looking forward to the next video(s) they seemed to have pumped some new energy in me.
Every thing that you have said is the truth and it is good mark for you. I now know what needs to be done.
Your video reminds me of a phrase I haven’t thought about in a while…”excuses are useless”.
Thanks for telling it like it is. As far as hurting peoples feelings/offending goes, hey, sometimes the truth hurts. There was one part of a sentence in your presentation that really spoke to me. Now the question is what will I do with it.
If you think you can, or if you think you can’t, either way you’re right.
Rich,
Great work as I said before when I watch your last video your the man.
Thank you.
Good job!

Rich,
This is material is the work of genius: ‘simplifying the complex and making the simple work!’. I have an MBA and understand everything you are presenting, but I wouldn’t be able to articulate this content as well as you have.
Some of us are paralyzed by our inability to create either a product or service that is in line with our vision/mission. One of the missing components for some of us is (beyond the reading of entrepreneurs’ biographies) the lack of a network of entrepreneurs we can have access to and entrepreneurial mentorship.
My big take away from all this is: nobody will give you the guide on how to become an entrepreneur, you are fully responsible for becoming one.
Hey Rich
Great video it really gets to the core of my problems, thank you for your words of wisdom. I am now laying my foundations so look out!!!
Hey Rich,
I wanted to let you know that, Watching your videos is as if I was asking you questions and you answer me.
Ironically Your videos, opened my mind to things that I already had, but not utilizing.
Now I’m asking for your help on one thing that’s killing my business,
I can’t join ClickBank & PayPal, Because my country Saudi Arabia was not listed in both.
Rich,
Thank you!
Thank you!

Hi
Very interesting information! Thanks!
G’night
Many thanks Rich it is appreciated.!!!
Hi Rich,
Thank you for the video series and the profit vault… it’s great information. I am a complete newbie and I’m just in the process of trying to start a business online. I’ve done a bit of research online about this but I haven’t heard an authoritative voice quite like yours on the matter.
One problem with the videos -
I can only watch about 15min of the “Gaining Momentum” video in the profit vault and then it stops. I’ve tried several times to watch more of the video… I would really like to finish watching the rest of that movie. Is there a way I can get access to it? Or is there a technical problem there?
Thanks,
Steven
