Rich's current Twitter status:My Dr. Can't believe how great all my bloodwork came back, maybe abusing my body is a form of exercise...
Hey Guys,
I have a quick favor to ask of you.
But before we get into that I just want to point out that, in the last 24 hours alone, roughly 6,231 people have watched my latest video, "Startup To Freedom". I seems as though people are starting to send the video to their friends and family.
So not only could you learn a lot from the video, but you could also look at it as a lesson in viral marketing! Cool.
Now since my inbox has been flooded with questions and comments about momentum, I want to try and answer them the best they can. But before I do that, I want you to submit a question to my blog so that I can have a clear picture of the common obstacles that are preventing people from gaining momentum.
Q:What is the biggest obstacle that is preventing you from gaining the momentum you need to bring your business to the next level?
Submit your answer on this post...
And yes this means you!
It will only take 30 seconds, and it will help you identify the constraint that is preventing you from growing your business.
Then, later on this week, I'll be releasing something that will address the common obstacles you're facing. I already have some ideas, based on the feedback so far, but I'm very interested in hearing from you.
I'm looking forward to your feedback.
To Higher Profits,
Rich Schefren
i’ve gotta hand it to you rich, your latest video is FANTASTIC… i took like 50 pages of notes. my mind is in overdrive now! can’t wait to start applying it all…
i guess the biggest obstacle that is hold me back now is myself. i can’t seem to just get stuff done. i don’t know why. it seems like i have all the right knowledge, and even my niche picked out, but i just don’t execute. always seems like life gets in the way.
thanks again man, and i’m looking forward to whatever you’ve got coming next. –ron
I’ll second Ron’s comments. The video is truly amazing - you managed to pack so much in!
Biggest obstacle? To get started means getting the finance together - and until it’s started I have to distract myself from getting started in order to work to earn that finance (resources to start up). Sometimes limits to borrowing are already reached.
So what would be really helpful would be some tips on how to get in there without the full resources initially that will later be needed to start properly. There’s got to be a way out of the viscious circle.
Anyway thanks for being so direct and open. The world would be a better place if business were always performed in this way.

Spending tons of money and not getting anyone to my website.
Time and focus for me.
Lance
My biggest obstacle is that even after nearly two years of IM of one kind or another, I have been unable to build a mailing list.
Also prioritising
I am stuck on basic mechanics of setting up and managing my web sites. I’m a lone wolf working from my basement and I need someone to call on for help on basics.
Hi Rich, Wow! You da man. Okay, I don’t know how many times I have to realize this but I took the Kobe, like you told us, I know my core strengths and I am no techie, but I still get hung up on thinking that I can do a lot of the stuff that I just can not do. I am starting to break my mold by doing some outsourcing but I would say that my biggest hangups are 1) not having one specific thing that will generate revenue for me right now, ( I am focusing in on a squeeze page and an e-book to sell) and 2) building a virtual team that can do all the stuff that I cannot do and don’t want to do. HELP! Can’t wait to hear your next blast and I love your coaching stuff. I am part of your coaching group and You have completely given me a blueprint for my business that I wasn’t even close to having before your advise. Thanks again, Richard Blackstone
Great content Rich! Biggest Obstacle: Time, Focus, and team building.
(see, I couldn’t even choose just ONE!)
What is the biggest obstacle that is preventing you from gaining
the momentum you need to bring your business to the next level?
For me Rich, it would have to be finding the time to startup my business while still having to work a daily job and spend time with my girlfriend. Because the free time I get comes in dribs and drabs, in other words, 2 hours here, 20 mins there…i find it hard to get momentum up. As soon as I’m on a roll and working very hard something non-work related comes up that requires my attention…It’s KILLIN me…but I’ll get there in the end
Thanks for your latest video…I found the time (thank god) to watch it and you’ve really given me a lot more clarity and focus in regards to concentrating on self, market and offer to get momentum up and money coming in so that I can hire a virtual team soon! How Exciting!
To High Profits! (as you would ssay Rich!)
Thanks,

Biggest constraint: enough visitors at my website ready to buy
The three things that seem to be holding me back the most are: (1) computer network marketing knowledge (2) having to work a heavy work schedule (3) and the finances to invest in my business that I really need to invest to make up for my lack of knowledge and time.
Personal finance - a lot of what I need to do to expand requires more outlay of money that I don’t have. So catch 22 time, if the company pays for its own expenses I can afford it, but the company isn’t big enough to do so.
Mr Shefren,
This is our stress. We produce a range of furniture and decorative accesories in Asia. Our markets are Europe and the US. We need to discover better methods than the current methods we use. We need a stronger inter reaction with our customers. We need them to wake up to our products as we wake up to their requirements. What is are the most vital methods we should learn in selling “hard” products from Asia.
I have found your approach interesting but limited in the context of what we are doing. Selling a pdf or a range of information products does not seem to work effectively in our contect. Or,are we doing things wrong?
Thank you
My biggest obstacle is differentiating my site from the 100’s of others that are selling a very similar product.
What is the biggest obstacle that is preventing you from gaining the momentum you need to bring your business to the next level?
Actually my major problem has been promotion, mainly building my list. I am gaining and expect much better results soon.
Your presentations have helped me to also see the whole picture more clearly.
Thanks,
John
My biggest hangup seems to be themes for niche sites and good keywords.
People (myself, service providers, suppliers) not meeting commitments
Hi Rich,
I seem to be lacking basci salesmanship skills. Inkow how beneficial my projects are, but conveying that to potential JV partners and prospects is hold ing me back.
I don’t just mean sales copy. But talking to people in general about products and getting the ‘why you should be using this’ point across.
Hope that makes sense. Thanks for all your thoughts,
Glenn
MKy biggest obstacle is lack of time. With a 10 month old baby, I am flat out keeping up with orders and customer enquiries leaving little time for business expansion activities.
My problem is that I may be trying to do too much. I’m just starting to implement some of Dan Kennedy’s ( I’m a Gold Inner Circle member) principles. I’m re-inventing my existing business, starting some massive marketing and just joined one of his regional Master Mind groups. In addition, I’m doing some Matt Furey stuff and doing a lot of continuing education for my business in order to accomplish the changes I desire. I’m thinking your material will have to wait until later in the year or 2008.
Great video! You are super and I really appreciate all of the time and effort you are sharing.
My biggest obstacle is the fact that I run many businesses, so have a challenge staying focused on only one.
Chris
Understanding some of the more basic things involved in getting started. I run several sucessful businesses but the intenet doesn’t come easily although I know heaps of theory on internet marketing.
I must point out that as an enrolled member of one of your previous expensive courses you never once replied to messages asking how to do certain things.
Biggest obstacle: Finding/creating something uniquely superior that people are actually demanding …
(I’m good at lists, autoresponders and optin conversions, but visitors pay little interest in the actual paid product I’ve created … so far anyway …)
Thanks Rich - you represent the philosophies I subscribed to for many years so well in their translation to the internet.
The hardest for me is learning how to set up an autoresponder and oto, also having enough time to edit products to sell.
The essential ingredient is TRAFFIC!
Lack of focus and prioritizing.
Am a Blogging guy? - I’ve got three books out on the subject, or am a computer security guy? - I’ve got decades of experience and great clients.
With personal health issues with my father, unable to concentrate on almost anything for more than 10-20 minutes. Mind is forever wandering and not able to focus for any period of time
Extremely difficult time of delegation of tasks to other people that I do not consider competent enough to handle the most simplest siutation
My two biggest obstacles are new blood, and getting the downline I have to take action instead of being inactive. I am sure you have many on your list that are just an email address that does not get you any responses. I have a small list of about 1000, but to get them to take action… not an easy task. Gettting new blood in the lines is my other issue. I made a modest income with my ebiz so spending money to do this is not an option at this time. Also, because of the nature of my ebiz, the “niche” angle does not seem to work well for us. : ( any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks for the opportunity to share
It’s pretty basic, having access to the talent to fill the gaps for your company’s strategic next step especially in your direct response marketing implementation efforts… that will take your product and service to an exponential level, at an affordable price, especially with a worthy start-up.
The harderst part of promoting a web site is catching the prospect
from a an opt-list
How does one do this - easily -that is
James
Lost my job to restructuring. Due to trying to keep from being homeless I only read the emails and browse these sites to say to myself that I must learn to do this and eliminate the need for a Just Over Broke!
Great job on your video and it is very informative. Things holding me back is the commitment to my goal. With using ppc to advertise can quickly get into your back pocket, so the amount of time it is ran is dictated by the monthly budget. So in the process of trying to find different and less expensive ways to get people to your website is mind boggling. You can spend so much time on research and reading emails that your focus on your goal gets blurry. The trait of wanting everything perfect from advertising, website, blogs, autoresponders only seems to stop you in your tracks. I always thought if I could profit $5 dollars a day, then the door is open to only improve and get better. Thanks Rich and I will be looking for more from you in the future.
My problem, like many other aspiring Internet entrepreneurs, is generating a large enough subscriber list to which I can give info, establish my credentials and credibility about which I can speak, and eventually to whom I can sell something.
Money. Insufficient lack thereof.
I am trying but not hard enough apparently because I have another business to run. Am missing the setup coaching required to get the internet basics rolling. I cannot spend hours and hours learning how to set up websites and call lists etc. I am willing to pay for a start up coach but it must be good!
Hi Rich,
You are doing great things in the internet world in raising the business accumen bar ever higher.
What’s been holding me back is failure to specialise.
I now realise how important it is to focus and be an expert in a specialisation rather than trying to be a multi expert! Your video conforms my thoughts and has enabled my perception of opportunities to be better defined through clarity of vision.
cheers
Rod
Hi Rich
Love your work! Biggest obstacle for me & partner is cashflow, and funding growth sprurts & bigger orders. We make a custom product & just getting the stuff made & getting it out the door can demand all our time. We are focusing on training new staff to assist us, but that means more cashflow problems!
finding good places to advertise, that don\’t cost alot or are a rip-off. Hey check this out
Traffic, Traffic, Traffic.
Without traffic nothing else matters one iota. That part at least is a numbers game.
Getting traffic is easy if you have a big budget - PPC - but even then you have to have a high-priced product and significant conversion ratio to show a profit. Cheap PPC is rapidly becoming a relic of the past.
Identifiying all of the componenets of a successful site and then putting them into a step 1,2,3 program.
Hello,
The biggest thing holding me back is lack of patience. I’m too all over the place. This may sound stupid to some but it’s why I think I have not increased my income in the last 4 years even though I have built extra web sites, have a decent sized list, experience in certain areas that crave solutions and so on.
I’d say that my second obstacle (if I am permitted to tell), is that I may suffer from a bit of self doubt when it comes to really helping other’s even though I know I can. I fear bad clients.
Here is my Question: How do one overcome the fear of meeting new people? I have a tendency to judge people, like” oh they will not be interesstet in this product” or ” I am sure they can’t afford it”. I am also very shy and seem to procastinate a lot, doing tomorrow or there after what I could do today.
Rich,
Five years ago, lost my job at 62 years of age. Lymph node cancer followed and I am now in remission. During that time, I focussed on Internet marketing and after my first contact with Ken Mc Carhty I got exposed to all the current gurus. Of all these people, including many you work with, only you and Mc Carthy impress me with an honest well thought- out pragmatic and universally usable approach. The others all remind me of pyramid sales schemes, where money earned is more important than the product sold.
I was never comfortable with selling information and coming-up with new products every week. My background and approach relate to selling tangible benefit- producing products and I am ready to launch my new product and build my brand.
Nowhere have I seen or received a complete well thought-out step by step approach, able to grow with the company and providing me with the blueprint from start to finish. I can constantly evaluate where I am and refer to the blueprint to prepare for where I will be soon. Thank you for providing this information and rest assured I wiil continue to follow and focus upon your teachings, attending your next live presentation.

Thanks Rich…I haven’t checked out the video yet but you always produce & deliver such great stuff that I’m sure you have over delivered, yet again….I felt compelled to respond…per your request: Procrastination…..or maybe it’s just getting started. Once I get started, I do more than most…better than most…in less time than most; fortunately, these qualities tends to keep me way ahead of the game….but I have to get started. I guess the bottome line is….I’m capable…I’m gifted…I have a lot to offer; unfortunately, I’m lazy–ouch
that hurt…but it’s the truth. This has been my albatros & my goal this year is to kill or at a minimum severly disable this deficit. My more important standing goal is to live up to: ‘of whom much is given….much is required.
Finding the wright product on the leading edge of the baby bubble, I’m thinking travel but I don’t know which profession I hold higher, them or used car salesmen.
Being a newby at all of this and having to learn the basics - my biggest obstacle is absorbing and sifting through the overwhelming information available to get to the core steps of building a web site and then doing what is necessary to build lists etc. I know what I want and how I want it to work - but I don’t know who and what to focus on for the steps to get it going as there is so much out there! Your video certainly helped me understand who I need to be and how to build momentum … but I also need to get off first base first and have the basic knowledge of how to do that.
Rich,
You strike a very solid chord in what it takes to generate momentum. Your video pointed out that what we lack is a powerful offer. Even though companies need what we sell, our offer fails to overcome their inherent objections.
Ideas come faster thsn I can implement. I have trouble with the business side of business.
Until I watched your videos a clear focused plan of action. Like many others I have allowed finances to get in the way also, and now have a much better method of dealing with that. And also not really taking into consideration the many actions required to move forward successfully in this area. Was I willing to look myself in the face and take on my shortcomings? not until recently. No more tail chasing. If something is not working why keep doing it over and over expecting different results? Hummm, so move on but move.
Not knowing which is the most profitable activity for me and creating the right offer for the market.
Having time to devote consistently to development of my internet and real estate businesses because of the amount of time that I must devote to my medical practice and care of my invalid wife.
Hello Rich,
When I got your e-mail just now, asking what is holding me back from gaining momentum in my internet biz, I just had to come over here and post.
I will tell you. It is all the techie stuff, that has to be done so I can have websites and on-line products and information such as mailing lists, newsletters, putting together downloadable products together. Now there are blogs, video, and audio website enhancements to contend with.
For a one person show, where there is time but no money to hire out all the techie stuff, the techie stuff can take alot of time and learning to do these things yourself. People get on the internet to market their products and promote their websites to make money, without realizing all the tech requirements involved.
Just to setup one campaign can involve setting up a website with several pages requiring different imput and forms, autoresponders with mutiple messages, articles, some sort of free offer to get folks to sign up for a mailing list, which has to be setup, and the list just goes on.
That has been what I have seen that gets folks discouraged mighty fast, including me, but I just keep plugging on.
Regards,
Debbie Gragg
My biggest obstacle is finding/training/trusting other people to do all the things I know I need to do that I never get to. So I just stay stuck and overwhelmed.
My biggest obstacle is the fact that I am in a very niche market. That is all
Here is a site I whipped up with my GDI account im no webmaster but im learning. GDI has easy html software if your not ready to use frontpage or the like to build your site. Just take a look, thanks Victor
ROI.
That’s the biggest obstacle.
“Ideas” are a dime a dozen.
An idea with a proven ROI is priceless.
Right now my husband is in the hospital with pneumonia. I had bronchitis first and gave it to him. I hope to get back on track in a week or two to find an editor/proofreader job and to do some Internet marketing as well.
My biggest problem is cost, I am on a low fixed income and my credit cards are maxed out.
I think the biggest obstacle for me and most others was recognized by Lao Tzu (c. 604 - 531 BC) when he said, “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”
I find the indecision about the first step is the most difficult thing to overcome. Once embarked on a path, things can be corrected, adjusted or altered. Nothing works until you take the first step. And fear of taking the wrong step can be powerful deterrent.
You see that last block, the one with nothing in it?That’s part of the reason right there.Yes, I would like to have a successful business, but I would also like to build my own website.I think that if I cannot build my own website, then I cannot have a successful business.
A lot of people on here no doubt have quit their day jobs, but I’m not one of them, and then I have other things to do.As they say,”time is of the essence.”Time, something I seem to have so little of,but these are excuses,I admit it.I guess my biggest obstacle is really me.
Finding reliable qualified help. Delegating work. Expanding my customer list. Finding more major customers for my real-world business. Life is GREAT!
Time is the biggest obstacle.
Installing the internal marketing systems - writing all of the copy for all of the follow up “drip” emails after someone opts-in. Creating the initial “intro” jv emails. Following up.
I find that those who are making a lot of money have the secrets, but those of us who do not have money to invest, cannot begin to buy all the extras after we pay for “the most amazing, fool-proof etc etc programs” We then find they are just teasers, and the reality is they tell us we are not committed if we do not find the money somewhere to go forward. We have no lists, no inexpensive way to get them; and no list, no client and no money. Vicious circle. more software, more courses, more e-books,….
Motivation is great; belief and faith are great.. but they do not BUY lists…
so, we all keep buying and tell ourselves, this guy is it… the next program will do it…meanwhile, we are spending our money on the programs and not our businesses.. but no one really tells it all in the first course. We are told about after-selling… and that is what is happening to us….we keep buying from those who write the best sales letters (and they hire that out) and we believe this will be the one… nope.. nor the next…
and this is the positive side of things…our hopes cost us more and more money.
I am waiting for “the one” and wonder how I will recognize it… I have spent thousands already and all i have are pieces….
We are looking for someone who has really made it to tell the truth and not back sell those of us who want to back sell all of you… how many of the gurus are buying from us? none, because it is a tight circle of successfuls who promote each others books, courses and ideas. We have may each have one key (of many) to the door…maybe we should band together and become a force to be reckoned with… ha ah..
No, I am not helpless, or hopeless.. I am well educated, have several business successes, and recently am attempting to divorce the con man who took my money. Starting over is one thing, but on the internet it is only easy for those who have teams of folks to do the stuff we need to do alone, isolated from our peers who are not motivated the way we are or see what we see and cannot get .
We need direction, not sales letters that try to shame us for not buying the next in a long line of products that only give us one piece of the puzzle for every $199…..
Where will we find the one who will give us all the pieces and a chance to prove ourselves?
Perhaps those who have, would consider taking on some who have not, who are motivated and can articulate that, and actually proving it could work with someone who is in a similar boat. if we succeed, we pay… if not, then the course may need some revamping.
All the sales letters read the same; go on and on: sell one piece and back sell, back sell…those at the top get richer and those at the bottom support the top (just like MLM)
I like what you say, Rich, but I until I find the one someone who will put all the pieces into one package, and challenge those of us who would make them proud, I am on hold.
My goal is to make an obscene amount of money so that I can help those who do not have the chances I have had…. and when i do, I will share every little detail with those who want what I do… I can only drive one car, can only make one home at a time, can only eat so much, wear so many clothes at a time, and then that obscene amount had better make a difference in this world, or my efforts will be useless.
Milliions of dollars do not buy happiness. I am already happy, I drive a nice car, and live in a nice home, have great kids, a doggie who loves me always…but I have no money….and with no money, I cannot do the good i want to in this life.
all this to say, that problem that holds me back (and reading between the lines above, everyone else) , is that no one sells us all the pieces for a price we can afford….
so we bumble along like little sheep because those who have the answers, keep them and those of us who crave them, starve while we keep searching.
No obstacles - only opportunities!
The power lies in action NOW.
What is the biggest thing holding me back? Confusion. I have absorbed so much information that I can’t really put my finger on what is the most important thing to do to get the greatest results.
If I truly had a road map to success I would follow it! No doubt! But most programs just give me snippets, bits and peices of information leading me to the next course, more money and yet another of the great secrets to success!
I have implemented many of the SEO and marketing techniques only to run into road blocks that were never talked about. If I could just have three action steps I could take every day that would lead me to success, I would do them! I know myself! I would! I just don’t know where to invest my energy, my time, and my attention.

My biggest obstacle is not being able to set my business up on auto-pilot so that I can focus on comming up with and implementing business ideas rather than getting stuck on menial tasks that eat up my time. I would also like to spend more time with my family.
Rich,
I’m PUMPED to get momentum going. The only thing holding me back is not knowing what software and techology to use to start my online business and handle the continuity service.
Butterfly Marketing? Hire a web designer? MarketingMakeoverGenerator?
Who’s the best of the best in helping people like me set up the technology to sell a continuity product online?
Thanks Rich. Your information has been fantastic.
establishing a mailing/customer list
My biggest obstacle is myself and my own mental limits. Nothing else is stopping me.
My biggest obstacle has been finding the right people to add to a team to help me scale and replicate my business model
Hi Rich,
Great content. I just cannot find someone to trust , I need a Sheila and Keith of my own and I’m frustrated with freelancers that dont deliver, have other priorities and just dont seem to care about quality, timelines and delvery.
Can I borrow Sheila and Keith?
Rick
I need to focus and concentrate about this good offer and opportunity and need more time.
Hi Rich, It was so refreshing to hear your videos, so much so that I now believe that there may be hope for me still.
My problem Rich, is that there is more than one main problem. I am 4 months into this already and I have gone along with a few so-called guru’s, buying their backend products, only to be put on hold, when I ask for help.
Still to this day I have not been able to get help to build a landing page, let alone an optin list to create my own customer/client/mailing list. I do have an autoresponder and host, but I don’t know how to set it up even though they have a tutorial for it, it is not so easy, putting it into practice. The last thing is that vertually being coerced into backend products etc. I am now money poor in being able to afford the help I now need to get it all up and running….I seem to be so far away, living here in Australia…Helen
Capital and courage!
Rick:
To tell you the truth, my basic problem is writing compelling sales copy.
The sales page I’ve got up right now converts at about one sale per 500-700 visitors. Can you help?
-Floyd
For me it’s time. I work a full time job and when I come home I usually need some time to relax and or exercise to stay fit.
After all that I find it hard to get enough energy or momentum to start doing the things I need to do to move my internet business forward.
Sure, I would love to quit my job and then I would have enough time for my IM pursuits but the cash flow is too good right now and the risk is too great.
Any comments?
Hello Rich,
At 62 and not knowing MicrosoftFrontpage, and never having done any internet marketing, It is a bit of a challenge.
I want to replace my current commission income with an income from the internet.
I am hesitant about what to do next, and unsure of what I should be looking at marketing in the first place. E Books is where I am currently heading.

Basic problems.
Can not afford all of the “Only$97.00 cash for the info”
Can not get any people to email to
Lack of computer experience to write a good web page
The need to find good quality support without the high prices
After 14 months i am getting further behind in my cash flow
How can you believe the hype “Make $1,000 over night”?
All the best
Derek
Colleen said it better than I can……………..she hit the major problems facing us all.
What is the biggest obstacle that is preventing you from gaining the momentum you need to bring your business to the next level?
I have the overall concept of all the information products and services I want to provide with my online business and the obstacle I keep running in to is the best sequence that these products should be created and the best order of releasing them - The first 15 products/services all seem to be , each as important as the other…and I need to come up with a linear plan to do them one at a time, I can’t work on all 15 at the same time -but each of the products/services seems to be important - I can’t tell which should come first, the chicken or the egg…. These products and services all dove-tail nicely with eachother and they each support eachother. They information products can function alone , but they also build quickly on eachother…. so as soon as a person has one, they will naturally want the others, quite rapidly and I am trying to figure out the best sequence to produce these
My biggest obstacle is gathering intell on my target audience, which are brick-and-mortar businesses in well-defined categories. I am keen on segmenting candidate targets for the sake of implementing the necessary flexibility on the front end, much as you reveal is necessary in “The Final Chapter.” This, I believe, will make more scientific the reasons why I take one approach versus another with any given segment. Also, I believe this will help me identify those basket cases for whom no marketing will prove effective.
This is not only a little daunting, but I am not aware of anything beyond trial-and-error that’s proven to make the effort more or less “fool proof.” Any suggestion you might share will be appreciated.
(Although I have an entrepreneur’s inherent creativity and willingness to act, one thing at a time, I also understand how another’s experience can save someone with less experience much time and aggravation.)
My biggest obstacle is getting people to the site , not having money to spend on advertising my site and the lack of training from the company I have signed up with.
I feel I need to know everything before I jump in, I am starting to feel even though I am on a limited income and am new to all this, that I just have to get in and swim. I think you have helped me to do that Rich, so thank you.
Ps. I could’nt get the video to play either, but was impressed by everyone’s blogs.
Pixie.
I’m a newbie and I’ve gotten so much info on how where and what to do that it’s a task in itself to sort out all this stuff and get working.
Rich,
I realize after spending thousands of dollars on different web based businesses over the years(about 7 years), to say I have learned a tremendous amout is an understatment. I still have the same fulltime job that I had back then and have for 17 years. I realise that I did not treat any of those opportunities with the same intention as I treated my full time job. As you know in a business startup it takes more time and intention in the begining. I was not willing to engage at that level because I wanted it easy. I did not want to work hard for something that was going to bring in next to nothing, to throwing money at it to force it to work.
Rich, I want to have a vision of what can be possible in an online business. I don’t want an Internet business guru telling me how much he or she has made so I get giddy and throw money their way also. Very few of those that claim they have made it really state what it has taken to get there.
I guess I really want honesty and a plan that really works like no kidding. I know what is possible, I can follow a plan.
Thanks for letting me vent a little, you should have seen what I erased!
Thanks and I look forward to what you have to say.
Regards,
Ron Szasz
My problem is how to present my information in a manner that is more valuable to the consumer than what they are paying. This is my goal; to give more will be the most valuable tool for my business. I am in information only. I have a bottomless pit of valuable information for individuls and want to compile ebooks to help others. How isn’t my problem…WHAT …is. What do you put in and what do you leave out? For example I wrote a test run ….How to walk past the dishes and not do them…… how much information is needed in such an ebook? What is enough? If I put this together with other topics at a resonable price, is that then good value? In other words my question is …what determines good value for money in the arena of information?
p.s the test run for my writing….my kids suggested, something I was an expert at!
My big constraints are- inability to spend enough time doing what I need to do to get it done (interruptions, easier to be distracted as I get older), lack of funds, program to follow, need of detailed instructions. These are in order from most important to least.
Hi Rich, the thing that I’am trying to get a better understanding is the legal side of the online marketing I guess you can say the do and don’t sort of things that I one should be aware of.
If you can address this aspect of the business I would appreciate very much.
regards, Chris
Me and life were getting in my way. But after seeing the video I am 100% more focused and now it is on to building my list with the systems I have in place. I guess just getting started was my biggest problem, now I need to drive traffic to my site. It is time to build the list with the articles I have written so far. So tomorrow is a new day and I am going to take action!
Thanks again for the great videos!
I am ready to go…got all the information….got lots of membership sites to give away…..BUT… I dont know how to FTP them to my web site. I have a ton of ebooks to sell…same thing… dont know how to put them on my web site to sell them….
I don’t know if you’ll get all the way to comment #79 but…
I loved the video. It got me thinking about all sorts of possibilities. I suppose the stage I’m at is figuring out what I can uniquely offer the market. . .
My biggest hold up is not knowing where to or how to build or find a lead cpture page. Either that or finding a script that I can add into a sales letter that has the lead capture thing embedded into it, and how to connect that script to a data base to collect all the info, that is if I had the script in the first place.
Biggest obstacle: help. I know what I need to do, at least to get a few things up to standard. It’s that org chart with one name that you showed in your presentation, Rich, where each new project, client, task and idea gets thrown in to the mix and endangers or further crowds those already in progress or on the drawing board. Ideas flow fast and furiously; implementation is quite another story.
Whats stopping me is a thing called money. In which i have exactly none. Maybe you can help me.I can be your (test) subject .How i went from zero to being a huge success with your mentoring.I cant begin to tell you how many storys i’ve read like this.Who knows, maybe there is a difference between fantasy and reality when it comes to making money online.I just have not seen it (money) yet.
What is the biggest obstacle that is preventing you from gaining the momentum you need to bring your business to the next level?
Thanks Rich for the webinar and the downloads.
My biggest obstacle is focus. I am taking steps right now to change my hours at work. I will work 6pm to 5am Wed through Sun so I have the weekday time to commit, and focus, on my business.
Thanks again
presently fine tuning the site for launch in March.

The main obstacle to growing my business is that I don’t have one, not yet. I’ve been self employed for 35 years, and my health has been an obstacle for the last 12 years, 4 car accidents. I’ve been doing as much home study as I can while still scratching out a living, and I’m very keen on marketing alternative energy appliances, as well as creating an information product, and finally, I want to write a racey blog. But, as I’ve listened to your description of an entrepreneur, my husband and I decided he is definitely an employee, and I am definitely the entrepreneur. But, I’m not so inspired by the opportunities I have, maybe I’m really kidding myself. I’ve been helping other people make money, grow their businesses for 35 years. I did more of this when I was 30 than I do now, and my clients were all very successful (mostly restaurant business). I guess I’m really wondering if I fit in to this marketing role. I’m a Mac consultant, I don’t do web, but I can. I also build custom business and accounting apps, but relying on my own time for money has left me nearly destitute. I need to break out of this spiral! I guess encouragement is all you could offer.
One thing I do want to say. I have a lot of experience with business world types, mentors, business consultants, coaches, accountants, sales people, marketing gurus. Your video was so well done. You’re a great presenter, besides you have really thought this out and you know it really well. I trust you!
Hi Rich. Can’t thank you enough for sharing so much, so well. For me it boils down to belief. I learn, I study, I get information constipation and analysis paralysis. This keeps me leapiing in, both feet. It’s putting all the responsibility and risk on myself that trips me up. I believe in my heart though, that I can overcome this, especially since I’m staring it down this time. I’ve heard about that these walls are just made of paper and I can bust through them…trouble is my lack of faith & belief. It hurts to think that I may not be the entrepreneur I’ve always dreamt of becoming. But I refuse to give up ’cause I’m closer to that jumping off point than I’ve ever been. My wife doubts me, as do my children…and frankly I don’t blame them. I’m all show and no go. How do I break out of this vicious cycle? I know I have to make it life or death. My job keeps me too comfortable, which doesn’t help matters. I want to fly with eagles like you, Yanik, Jim, Dan, Bill and Michael M. and I’m tired of being a chicken. What do I do to push myself over the edge? Thank you again. You’re a true servant.
Just like everyone else my sticking point is lack of finance and a plan of attack. With all the information out there and everyone wanting your attention it is shall I say a little overwhelming. Tight budget means learning everything yourself and then putting it all together and hoping you get it right. All of your info to date has been on the money. It’s just getting it all in order and hitting the button. Thank you for your insight.
Was unable to play the video. My dial up modem couldn’t handle it. Is there any way you could put this report out in Pdf? Thanks. Doug
The idea is working - funding is tough but we will get there. need to hire more staff to accomplish the tasks (this week). Good news is lots of work on the table. Just starting to move ahead, Growth in the last year has been amazing.
Thanks again
Kathleen
1. Money
2. Website development knowledge
I’ve spent the day working on a web page to add to my website (under construction) and I cannot get the frontpage document from my documents folder where I saved it to editing/working on website pages area where webmasters go to put up these pages. Filed it wrong? Can’t find a way to change that. I have two frontpage books, hopefully I can figure it out before the year is out. And lack of money to get things hopping is definately a problem too. My webmaster got my entire last paycheck.
Rich, I have an info marketing start-up. What’s blocking momentum is a lack of a clear daily plan of action that produces immediate revenue. Plus the lack of a thick back end with sufficient profits.
Our biggest obstacle to gaining supersonic momentum, right now is MONEY.. Just like most people, because we spend lots of time on the tasks that could be outsourced (like email support) we don’t spend the required time on the things that will gives $$..
Thanks for all you are doing.
Michelle
The Web-site above is one that my wife and I started a Year ago. Anyway to the Question? The biggest problem that I have found, (and I have been studing this thing called Internet Marketing for about 3 Years now) I have noticed that there is no clear defined product out there that will allow you to go from start to finish. I know that there are products/ebooks etc, but they only give you a peice of the picture here and a peice of the picture there. I would like to see someone produce something that will give the full picture all in one product/ebook.
